I have visited this company but in different locations in Miami. I find Modern Dentistry to be very friendly and modern but the process to do anything here is very lengthy. I had an oral exam scheduled at 11, didn't leave until 1:30pm and still didn't get to do my cleaning. They explained every procedure and process and I felt like I was in good hands just wish the process was faster. read more

This is by FARRRRRRR the worst dental practice in the entire world. Firstly their customer service is a complete mess. I spoke with someone on the phone by the name of Tim and he was really rude and just not a pleasant person to deal with. I Needed an extraction so I made an appointment to be seen by Tyler Griffith. I spoke withe the receptionist about insurance and that I need a TOOTH EXTRACTION. Ok he made an appointment for Wednesday. I called them about 4-5 times regarding insurance information and co pay. "Oh you have to come into the office for that so we can give you finance options" first red flag. I went into the office did X-rays, the dentist came in to tell me he thinks i should get the tooth filled and a crown but he will have the "financial analyst" give me a "quote" for both extraction and crown Second red. Some snooty bald guy came in the room going over options (I'm assuming he needed to make his commission) when he was done with his quotes I basically needed to pay $3700 for an extraction and $3900 for them to fix my tooth rather than extract it. When I told him no that's too much I'll go somewhere else he got short and snappy and showed me the door. I mean $4000 FOR A TOORH EXTRACTION!!??? Like WTH this place is a rip off RIPPPPP OFF. I would advise you to stay away from this place. It's more of a financial hell hole with crappy customer service than it is a dental office I went somewhere else and with my insurance my copy is $123. Let that sink in before you think this place is your only option. read more

As they were accepted by my insurance company, Delta Dental, who I have had for 15+ years, I felt like I would be in good hands. Boy was I wrong. First, the office staff is unprofessional and rude. Second, the dentist or any of his staff does not return messages or calls. They will tell you 100 times if you need anything, to call or send a message. They simply ignore you. Then, they overcharge you for the services. When you ask for an explanation, no one in the office can help you. There are new employees at the front desk every week. The financial person will not tell you that they are charging you $2200 for a crown that should only cost $500, then when the insurance doesn't cover it, they expect you to pay the difference. 0 stars if i could. First appt, they began 45 mins late. Wanted to start treatment 1:30 into the appt of xrays, and diagnosis. I said no because i was already over what i alotted for time for this appt. Scheduled an appt for the next week, another 8 days later, another 7 days later. Next appt, started on time, first cleaning was done, doctor needed to come in and do the laser finish. Sat on the table waiting 40 mins. Doctor came in, no acknowledgement of time waiting, took 1 minute, asked if i had questions then left. Next appt, started on time, second cleaning done, needed laser finish. Husband doctor came in this time. Said hello, did his treatment, walked out...didnt say a word. Didnt ask if i had questions, just...left. Third appt, they called and cancelled. Paij (office manager) called to cancel it, promised to call me back to reschedule, she never called back. I called Paij 2 days later, she said she would call me back, she didnt. I called 2 days later, got the call center, they made me an appt. Today, they called to cancel that appt. I said this was unprofessional, they said they would call me back. They called back and said they could only see me in emergency situations, and i should find another provider for regular visits. Worst Dentist office i have ever see. Front desk staff constantly interrupting to make themselves heard and refusing to let me speak to a manager even though I've contact the office on multiple occasions to no avail. I wish I had read these reviews a year ago. I would never have gone here. Worst experience I have ever had. I had my previous Dentist send them my XRays. They said they didn't get them. Insisted on new XRays. I had a crown with me I needed cemented on after it came off when I ate caramel. The Odyssey then began. I spent 2-3 hours there mainly waiting. Har Dr Griffith tell me that I needed root canal, crown, "special cleaning" etc I asked about the cost and he only gave me "his part" which was exorbitant. He was abrupt but I waited for his "financial" person to come in. As I waited in my dental chair to see Dr again I could hear a patient in the next room being pressured to spend more money than she wanted to. Ultimately I just left without even getting my teeth cleaned. Later I saw what Dr Griffith had charged for X-rays. It was so high it was crazy. I called insurance and one person agreed that they charged for a special X-ray that would not normally not be done unless I was having a root canal that day. They don't even do root canals at that office. I told insurance not to pay and appealed. I think the Dentist got away with stealing that $ from insurance. Bottom line: Don't go there!! I have been extremely disappointed with this Dentistry. My Dental Insurance is Cigna and they gave me yearly $1,000 . I did not go to my regular Dentist because this allowance and they charged my Insurance $1,480 just for the XRAYS. I believe that this is a very dishonest behavior. I had a tooth pulled by one of the doctors in the spring 2023 and she was fantastic! Thorough,pleasant, and pain free experience. I recently sent an email with the information needed for the follow up procedure, an implant. I was requesting an appointment and provided the details needed for the visit. I didn't hear back. I called a week later requesting the appointment and they said it couldn't be done without a cleaning and ex rays. I explained that I just had that done 2 months ago back home and was told I couldn't make an appointment without it. A message was left with the head scheduler but I never heard back. I had a great experience with Dr Ivelisse, but their practices seem unprofessional. read more

Front staff were wonderful, hygienist nice. Dr. Griffith wasn't. They took X-rays and he said I needed a root canal. Staff came in with a card machine and demanded $2400 up-front, which I paid. I still had pain after the procedure and insisted on going back to get things checked and completed. Griffith was rude and told me he was missing his lunch hour because of me. Upshot: they had initially missed the real cause of the pain (which was ongoing), an infection under the NEIGHBORING tooth. It had gone on too long and had to be pulled -- by another dentist (I wasn't going back to Daniels). New patient. From check in to treatment I was treated very kindly and professionally. Didn't wait long as other post. Given heads up about wait times in the chair and they were on point 10mins or so. I have anxiety when visiting a dentist. When made a aware they were extra kind/positive with me. Appointment 7/8/23. Waited close to 1 hr for Griffiths to walk in look in mouth 5 sec say it's going to be an additional wait to 1 hr I've already waited, for routine cleaning or I can reschedule. I got out of there. His bedside manner is horrible. And yet I'm going to be billed for his presence. This practice presents itself one way and it's definitely on poor end. I went there cause it is close to my home, went there for a cleaning. Told me I had peridontal disease and the cleaning would be almost $800, I said what? Just do a normal cleaning, that's ALL I want. The tech stepped out and said the Dentist assured her that is what was needed. She lied cause I saw the dentist leave. This office gave me an estimate for $10,000 telling me my crowns were bad and needed to be replaced. I went back to my old dentist, and paid $100 for cleaning. Worth driving the extra 20 minutes. This is the most horrible dental practice that my family or anyone we know has ever gone to. They did a horrible job on my daughter's EXPENSIVE veneers and refuse to make it right. They don't return calls. The dentist was rude and hostile to the point of emotional abuse. It's been a very traumatic experience. Go to Jordin Teder at Family dental of Fort Myers, a little ways further down Daniels Parkway. They are understanding, and responsive, and Dr. Teder really cares about her patients. Btw, hurricane coming, I was in discomfort due to being exposed. Still refused , btw charged me $ before being seen. Awful, stay clear of this place. hi I just wanted to take the time out to let people know that Daniel modern dentistry is a very unprofessional place to go to in FortMyers Fl 6871 daniels parkway it was around 8:45 am when I walked in for my 9:00 am appointment, I sat there for 15 min with out any one acknowledging that I am there not only that when they called the first person to walk in first the two young ladies looked at each other, and one of them says well. Are we going to wait all day for everyone to come out on top of that I find them to be very unprofessional with people with disabilities because I have a left side deficit disorder and they were really rude. The place is sort of cold, sterile, and very uninviting. Totally lacking warmth and personality. The girl behind the desk was cold and sort of stand offish. Didn't like her at all. The girl who took my X-rays was very nice. The dentist had next to no personality, was not very welcoming or friendly, and devoid of most personality. He had Avery uncomfortable hand when poking around in my mouth. He was knowledgeable though. The prices are a rip off and beyond ridicUlous. They are not flexible on them at all. Was supposed to have an introductory cleaning and X-rays and never received the cleaning and was told that it was not part of any offer - the exact thing I called for when I made the appointment. I was told I'd need to come back on a different day if anything to get it. I would not at all recommend this place or the dentist, u less you want to be treated coldly, and pay ridiculous, exorbitant, rip off prices! read more

I went to Daniel's Modern Dentistry first in 2021. I had two root canals done and two crowns. The endodontist was amazing, staff was great and I everything went fine. It did take 3 appointments to get my crowns on correctly, but overall fine experience. I came back in 2022 for a routine cleaning, all of a sudden when no more root canals need to be done, I had stage 4 periodontal disease. This was not mentioned to me in my other cleanings here (when I had to get expensive work done). So I changed dentists and got a second opinion. Surprise! No periodontal disease. In July 2023 I came back after experiencing pain and my new dentist said my crown was not on correctly so that could be the cause of the pain. I come back, am told my root canal and crown need to be redone, and see their new endodontist (fantastic dentist, he was great too). I don't need my root canal redone like Dr Tyler Griffith advised. Long story short- I end up paying 600 some dollars for him to fix my crown that he did incorrectly the first time. While he did help me out with a small discount, it's still frustrating, and painful. Now in October 2023 I am still getting bills- (I'm on a payment plan and it's paid off). Bills that I don't owe and are reflected on my patient portal as outstanding. I'm back at least once every month making sure I don't owe money since my bill says I do, it's sleazy at best. I'm lucky that I keep track of what is being paid/done since I don't think they would tell me otherwise. Their front desk staff is nice, the hygienists and dental assistants were always sweet, and both endodontists that I've seen were fantastic. However, Dr Tyler Griffith and the business as a whole, I would not recommend. I'm glad my time here is done and I won't be back. read more

He applied anesthesia to me and another patient left and came back 50 minutes later. I needed a new dentist after moving across the country. With the pandemic and a major move, I was behind in going to the dentist. And I dreaded it. I tried a dentist in Punta Gorda and one in Port Charlotte. Was dissatisfied with both due to staffing and scheduling issues. I decided to trek down to Fort Myers (from Port Charlotte) since Daniels does same day crowns. And I needed a crown... I originally planned to just get the crown from Daniels, but have officially switched to using Daniels as my only dental provider. They were extremely accommodating, and super understanding of childhood dental trauma that lingers in adults (which still haunts me and I'm nearly 50). Daniels (Dr Tyler Griffith) has done 3 fillings for me (2 were inlays) and prepared 2 teeth for root canals + crowns (and did the crowns for me). I wouldn't say this dental work was a cake walk, but I survived without being a complete basket case in the chair. They were reassuring to me, which frankly is a huge help when you're a trauma survivor. For the treatments that Dr Griffith did, Nayelis was the assistant. She was very kind and patient. Paij from their front desk / billing area made it easy to understand the cost (I already hit my annual coverage limit and she explained how much the insurance discount was, etc). For the root canals, I used their visiting Endodontist. He (the Endo) triggers the memories I have from childhood dental trauma, but luckily I have Xanax and that works great in the absence of compassion and care from him. I wish they had a different Endo - one that truly understands how awful childhood dental trauma can be, and it's way more than "no one likes to go to the dentist". When you were berated and abused by your dentist when you were a kid - and your parents honestly didn't care that it happened - it's incredibly painful to go to the dentist as an adult. Especially getting a root canal ... who the heck in their right mind would sign up for a root canal??!! Everyone knows they are horrible. And then add trauma looming over your head. It really sucks. I do appreciate that you can get in for cleanings in a very reasonable time frame. This isn't always the case at the dentist. Having to wait 9-12 months to get on the schedule for a cleaning (when you really need to go in every 3 months) is a pain to deal with. At Daniels I'm able to get in (easily) every 3 months. read more

Avoid this practice! My bill was padded by $50 for two photographs they took in addition to my xrays. I did not authorize them or be asked about it. The assistant who took my x-rays did not speak a word of English. The measurements taken and diagnosis of peridontal disease and treatment were highly suspect as well as the need for a crown. I decided to seek out a second opinion. I called 5 times, came in, my dentist called 3 times, and I contacted the Corporate Office in California asking for an email of my xrays. I was hung up on twice and received no answer to my calls twice. When I finally came into the office, I was assured that the records would be emailed to me that day. They were not. Three more attempts by me and three attempts by my new doctor to get the records with assurances that they would email them that day were not fulfilled. HOW DARE IT SEEK A SECOND OPINION! One hour before my appointment with the new doctor, they finally emailed the copy of the x-rays. By law, they are REQUIRED to provide this information which I paid for. Then, my new doctor re-examined me for severity of periodontal disease. The measurements were completely different and showed that I did not have periodontal disease, did not need the $1,200 treatment, and did not need the crown. I've been to many dentist in my 36 years. I've never been to an establishment that was easy to get in immediately ( I was not a current patient even ), treated you like a valued client immediately, and offered reasonable, flexible, and well explained payment options. My dentist, Faryal Hussain, was thorough, professional, personable, and brought important issues to my attention, others had not addressed. I was in pain and in a new state, at a brand new practice and the comfort level and instant report with the staff was a real help. The office manager, Danielle King is wonderful, being very easy to communicate with, not intimidating, and doing her part to help you get what you need in a format that you can afford. I wish I recalled the X-ray technician and I only recalled the nickname, Candy, of the assistant who cleaned my teeth. I was excited because the facility offered dental, periodontal and oral surgeon services. Unfortunately, we left very disappointed. They refused to give us the cleaning out insurance offered. Instead, my husband paid $60 for a "special" cleaning, nothing special about it. I was told no, a regular cleaning was not available for me. I am trying to contact Humana to tell them. Also, both my husband and I were told we had serious issues, me an infection, he bad gums and would need surgery. Not true for either of us. I will not go back. Too bad. read more

It's one of the worst visits I have ever had at the dentist. First of all, my appointment had been set for 12:30 on February 21 for over six months. Then, a week before the visit, the time just changed to 12:00, without notification. When I showed up at 12:00, they said my appointment was changed to 3:00. They also said that they called me and talked to me the day before, which they did not. When I told them that was not true, they told me to get out. I refused to leave and finally got to see the dentist at 1:00. All I had done was a cleaning, which, with the wait time, took one hour and 15 minutes. They only have one hygienist.
