The place was very pleasant and service was excellent. We had a large party of twelve and asked for separate checks at lunch. It took a while to get that all settled but worth the wait. The food was really good I had a bacon cheeseburger cooked perfect. Some had fried green tomatoes (in January) and they said they were delicious. It is known as a biker bar and in the summer you will see lots of bikes but past that and you can see why a great place to get great food. POC BEWARE!! I visited yesterday for the first time and it'll be my last. Service is okay and food is average. However! You will be the only POC in the establishment and people talk very openly about their racist ideology and beliefs. There was a group at the bar openly and very loudly praising the work of ICE agents and underscoring how ICE is just doing their job and how ICE doesn't target "brown people". One man commented how "illegals are having kids and using up all the social security". Just IGNORANT and uneducated. FACT: Undocumented immigrants don't receive social security despite paying taxes This made me extremely uncomfortable as a woman of color. One woman said she would "shoot first ask questions later" if she were a cop. Disturbing. Two patrons openly started YELLING because one man disagreed with what the party was saying and I told him not to waste his breath or energy. Staff did not step in to de-escalate. This place has become part of our family's annual post-Thanksgiving tradition. Every time we've been there, the interactions have created a friendly and welcoming feel. We've gone a couple times with our kids and they always provide coloring books (not those corny sheets that you get in chain restaurants). Oddly, I really appreciate the no profanity signs all around the bar. I'm not sure if it's tongue-in-cheek but it was kind of cool to see. The front of the house and the back picnic table style create two totally different environments. Personally, I prefer the picnic area a little bit more. The picnic area is a lot louder. The area that looks a little more like a restaurant has a lot more viewing options for watching the games. We almost always order burgers when we eat there. We especially like the tricycle. The kids always get Chicken fingers. Nobody has ever complained about the food ! I'm not sure how or why, but for some reason the best way to describe this place is just Maryland. Now, imagine you walk in for the first time and even though they don't know you, they welcome you into the fun and want you to have just as good a time as they're having. That's the level of service. After trying this place out twice for breakfast on the weekend, then hitting it up again late enough for one of us to get breakfast and one of us (me) to get something off their lunch menu, I feel like it's worth another trip. The two times we dined for breakfast, we were in the front bar area which seemed cramped and loud. On this last visit, we entered through the back addition and sat in there. It's a very nicely done large area with a bar and extra large picnic tables. Nice and airy and lots of windows and some cool music playing. Ridden past this hidden gem for many years, but never had the opportunity to stop. One chilly Saturday, we went in after a bike show, and we were pleasantly surprised. The rough and tumble bar you see from the street masks a decent bar and grill that seems to have been recently renovated on the inside. They also have an outdoor stage and olé the of parking. The food was top notch, with the hamburger being the best I've had in a very long time. The drinks were poured on the generous side, but had more flavor than power. I'm looking forward to my next visit, probably after a long ride on the bike. My sister was visiting from Phoenix and she brought me here for dinner. She had already dined here before and really likes the place. I was anticipating a nice dinner and Daniel's Restaurant didn't disappoint either of us. We ordered the fried green tomatoes and WOW, they had flavor that I wasn't expecting. The Maryland crab soup was one of the best crab soups I've ever tasted. The Shrimp salad was excellent too. The front of house staff was pleasant and attentive. The atmosphere was casual and very comfortable. As more patrons arrived, I could see that this is a beloved local hangout. Went to Daniels tonight to try out their Trivia Night. I'm a veteran and we are an easy table to wait on and over-tip by habit. Daniels totally missed the boat tonight due to poor service and attitude. The bartender was a total attitude trainwreck. She ruined the night for our table of 7. Drinks were late, when asked she would blame the sever saying the drinks had been made and sitting on the bar for 5 minutes - mind you, she wasn't busy and was talking to her regulars. When approached for ketchup, she made me move to the end of the bar and then walked away with no comment. When I approached the sever, she then finally asked what I needed. We're regulars at Caton Tavern, we were hoping to transfer our regular Trivia team night to Daniels, you can blame the bartender for a crappy experience and the loss of a future weekly $400 tab. read more

Don't let the questionable exterior scare you. Yes, it is a "biker bar" but will fool you when you go inside. No motorcycle clubs are allowed so there is never any trouble there. As a 25 year resident of Elkridge I never felt compelled to try Daniel's. It just didn't seem like my kind of restaurant and bar...but about 3 years ago, I gave it a try...wow, was it more than I imagined. First, Daniel's has a nice beer selection on tap. Second, they have great appetizers including tasty wings and fried green tomatoes topped with lump crab meat. Finally, they serve out of this world burgers! I wholeheartedly recommend their Bacon Cheeseburger. Its a nice 8 ounce burger, cooked your way, with your choice of cheese and toppings and amazingly, 4 slices of bacon! Go for the redneck ambience and drinks and the fun open bar counter at the front wall (all 6 seats) but do NOT go for the food, alone if you are a woman or not someone who easily blends in with the locals. Found it on a nearby search. Looked interesting and I could sit outside and enjoy my breakfast. I only ordered creamed chipped beef and a biscuit with coffee. Safe choice, right? I dont know what tobacco road poverty the owner learned to cook from but what I received was starch soup with a dozen chips of beef floating around to remind you what you just paid $7 bucks for. It was THAT watery and THAT skimpy on actual corned beef and for $7. ::expression of amazement:: I know...right? So, I finished it because I was famished (hi, why else would I be there ordering what is supposed to be thick gravy with meat in it for a meal) and told the waitress I needed another biscuit because the creamed chipped beef soup they just served me was watery. (Inexcusably so). She was apologetic and brought the biscuit (thank god those were good. Obviously made by someone outside this restaurant). She rang up my check a 2nd time and charged me another $3 for the biscuit on top of the insult that creamed chip beef was to anyone's good sense, taste buds or wallet. She left and I finished my coffee and thought about the $15 I just spent for a cup of coffee, 2 biscuits and a small restaurant cup of watery cream with a dozen chipped beef pieces floating in it. As I shifted in my seat, another staff member bolted out from behind a door to collect my check. Guessing from her instantaneous appearance of when all I did was shift on a less than perfectly comfortable bar stool, I figure this one must have been perched behind the peep window on the door because she knew they were really pushing their luck with first, the soupy mess they served and then demanding payment for a cheap biscuit instead of just apologizing for what they knew was bad cooking (if it was even cooked. Creamed chipped beef. Heat and serve. For it to be THAT watery, you HAD to cut it with water! What is wrong with people?) God forbid someone might have buyers remorse with a $14 ticket for basically, coffee, 2 biscuits and watery starch soup (literally). As i handed her the money and she was as pleasant as a hemorrhoid taking it. Then, came back and gave me my change WITH a dirty look as a bonus. For the past 10+ years I've driven passed this place, I'd almost always see a plethora of motorcycles lined up in the front of this place. Oh and a huge group of guys with motorcycle vests and armor and who knows what else sitting at the bar that's located outside the restaurant. I never thought once, I would ever go to this place. Until recently. One night I was bored and decided to go on Yelp and just look at nearby places to go to. I saw Daniels Restaurant and my name is Danny (or Daniel but I prefer Danny) and it's located in Elkridge. I started reading the reviews and when I saw Bubba's review of the place, I immediately knew that Daniels Restaurant is the Bikers place. I read every review and decided to try the place out and see how it really is. We all have our prejudiced moments. I assumed that since this is a biker bar, I was probably going to be mistreated in some type of way. Yeah, I'm aware of my ignorance. :( So I went to Punjab Kabob and Sweets in Halethorpe to get some food to go then I came here. I parked, got out of the car and walked to the front of the restaurant. I saw a biker come out of the restaurant but when I came to the door, I saw a sign that says something about being closed. My reaction was: o_O I turned around and decided to ask the biker about the place. When I walked up to the guy, he turned his head to me, lowered the music playing on his bike, and he looked at me with a bewildered smile. I asked him if the place was open and he said yes and that I should go through the door and not to worry about the sign. I guess he knew I was confused about the sign when I asked him that question. I said thank you and he told me to have a good day. Immediately I felt wrong because I had this negative notion about bikers and through this mans kind actions, I couldn't help but feel bad. Bad for myself for being ignorant. However, at the same time I was happy and relieved because nothing bad happened haha! I walked inside and the place is a dive. Lights were partially dimmed, old school decorations + Christmas decorations. A few TV's laying around the area and about 8 tables total. My waitress told me I could sit anywhere so I sat at a table with high seats looking at 1 of the TV's to my slight left. There was a table occupied by a few guys and girls and they would not stop staring at me. I felt like breaking the guys necks. Buuuut instead I just tried focusing on the TV. My waitress came up and asked if I would like a Breakfast or a Lunch menu. I asked for Breakfast at first but they didn't really have anything different so I asked for their Lunch menu. The service there was great. My waitress was very friendly and she kinda looked like Katy Perry. I decided to order the Crabby Patty burger and the Boom Boom Burger. Crabby Patty burger basically came with 2 pieces of bit-too-hard bacon, a DOLLOP of crab dip and cheese in a burger. I got the burger medium rare and with fries. The Boom Boom burger came with a good amount of sliced Turkey breast and cheese with their "sauce" and it too, came with fries. I got the Boom Boom to go and decided to eat the Crabby Patty there. After about 10 minutes, I got my burger. I tried to pick it up but there was so much crab dip in the burger that it was slobbering over every side, down onto the plate. So I tried to be a bit civil by using a fork and eliminating the sides so that I could be able to pick up the burger without leaving any sauce on my hands. The crab dip was pretty good. It didn't have a rich flavor compared to the kind you get at, let's say, Timbuktu's but it was pretty good. I picked up the burger and took a huge bite. Immediately, I felt my tooth about to break because of the bacon being nearly indestructible. It was like biting onto a piece of candy called the Jawbreaker... I waited for the bacon to get a bit softer before chewing it. I opened the bun and felt the rest of the bacon and it was alright. I guess the tip of the bacon was the hardest part. The burger was pretty good though I felt like the Boom Boom Burger was the best out of the 2. The fries were crispy and fresh. The 2 burgers with fries were just over 19 dollars. I came home and took a bite off the Boom Boom and that was on point! The Turkey didn't overpower the burger and vice versa, they both were a great combo. It was odd that the Medium cooked Boom Boom's texture was softer and juicier than the Medium Rare Crabby Patty burger... Overall the service was great and the food was good. This is a great spot for drinks and food. Don't let the bikers out front scare you off from coming into this establishment. All the bikers are friendly BTW. Drinking outside at the bar is a treat when the weather is good. There are stools for you to sit on and you can also hang in the big space in front of the bar. You're able to walk around like there aren't any open container laws ..ok let me throw in a disclaimer...there are such laws and please observe every law that pertains to alcohol. Ok with that out of the way let's continue. The staff is attentive even outside. The bar inside has sit down tables as well as another big bar that you can slide up to and watch their TVs which usually has on sports. The food is delicious. The fried green tomatoes with crabmeat on top is great. The burgers are always a hit here. Also their wings are big and that spicy sauce is very very hot..to most people. Seriously if you're in the area like I am..usually after playing lacrosse...come and visit this place.
