It's good to see familiar faces behind the bar. I actually tried a new dish and yam know how hard it is for me i do that at a spot I've frequented a lot. I grabbed the apple pie cider since it was sweeter than the guava and they were sold out of the other. I also grabbed the penne vodka fontina chicken dish that was pretty tasty. I love a vodka sauce. Make sure to order extra sauce though and Sean already knew when he asked how it was. We ate here while shopping in the mall. If you're looking for a great place to catch all things sports while enjoying a beer this is definitely the place for you. The atmosphere was very lively and always fun. Our waitress was amazing and provided top-notch service. We ordered the jambalaya and it was underwhelming the protein, shrimp and sausage were delicious, but it needed a sauce and was kind of bland. Probably will save the two Z restaurants for another day, but I have enough time to crank this Yard House one out today 7/15. I had long been familiar with Yard House back when I lived in Phoenix in the late 2000's and had been to all 3 locations that existed in the Phoenix metro area, with my 1st visit being their Glendale, AZ location. My friend had mentioned a really good happy with great food specials and remember going for that a few times. I had my going away party at their Scottsdale, AZ location in March 2010 when I was moving to Birmingham, AL. In 2011 I moved to DC area (in northern VA until 2017) & then MD (2017-present). I remember when the Springfield, VA location was the 1st in the DMV to open in 2015, and I was excited and even had my birthday party there in 2016. Gaithersburg was the first in MD to open up after I had moved to MD. Experience at the Hanover location: Tuesday, April 8, 2025 was an unseasonably cold, rainy afternoon/night. I had a free advanced movie showing and also a free dessert at Yard House I wanted to use as I remembered I liked the desserts here. My g/f & I got the pizza happy hour & boneless wings to split. The Truffled Mushroom pizza was very good. My only issue was that there was too much crust close to 2" of crust. Crust on a pizza should be no more than 1" max, but it still tasted good. The boneless wings were great with the right amount of sauce, and you use a stick to chop into it to eat and not make a mess, which is smart. For dessert, we decided on the bread pudding a la mode, which was great too! Service was a bit slow at times particularly when ready to pay. They were moderately busy during happy hour, but it's a huge restaurant, but I still feel things could have been faster. However, the server was nice. Overall, generally a positive experience here at this location and would return particularly for happy hour. read more

Always a solid place, not amazing or life-changing, but solid. We've always gotten seated quickly. We find the front room to be way too loud and over-stimulating, so we always ask to be seated in the back room/covered patio area, which is much quieter and nice. The food is good, particularly their burgers, and service is decent. The waitstaff is always super friendly but sometimes on the slower side, but doesn't seem to be their fault- probably just because the restaurant is big and they're always busy. It's located in the mall, but does have a direct entrance from the parking lot so it's not too chaotic, although the parking lot can be a bit touch-n-go. The ambiance was cool, with a large bar in the middle and loads of draft beers available. When making our reservation, we chose first available seating, with a wait of around 15 minutes. They took our phone number and through text alerted us that our table was ready. You could even see your position in the queue as you waited, which was cool. The server was exceptional and we ordered the four cheese spinach dip, hand-battered chicken tenders with sweet potato fries (extra $1), crispy Brussel sprouts, and sliders with fries. Our food arrived quick and hot. The chicken tenders were a bit hard, but we could eat them. The fries were nice and hot. The sliders came four to a serving and had cheese on them. The bun was soft and they had a good flavor. The sweet potato fries were ok. The crispy Brussel sprouts were coated in a sweet/spicy chili-like sauce, which I really enjoyed. They could have been a little more crispy, due to them being covered in the sauce. A great option would have been to serve the sauce on the side and you could add as much as you like. The four cheese spinach dip came with Parmesan sprinkled tortillas, which were a hit with me! Once again arriving hot and the perfect compliment to the chips. We didn't order any drinks (only water). This particular yard house is open until 1:30 am on Saturday's. We came late night and the restaurant was pretty packed but we were seated right away. The restaurant was very spacious. We were seated at a booth. Our server was helpful and personable. The pizza and burger looked really good. I got the sliders that came with fries. The meal wasn't bad. The sliders were kind of plain. On one of the coldest day of the year, January 26, when ice and snow kept most people indoors, I managed to escape to Yard House to celebrate my brother's birthday--and it was a real treat. The bar was full, warm, and welcoming, even though only one bartender, Brianna, was working because everyone else had called out sick. Brianna was clearly exhausted, running back and forth nonstop, yet she handled everything with grace and ease. Watching her deliver a five-star experience completely on her own was truly impressive. Her energy was upbeat and welcoming, she maintained great eye contact, knew the menu inside and out, had an incredible memory, and didn't make a single mistake--all while smiling the entire time. The food and drinks were just as outstanding. I absolutely loved the pizza--its thin crust was made to perfection, crispy yet light, and packed with flavor. I've come here a couple times before , either on my way to a movie or on my way home to Baltimore. The service is always cool. I sit at the bar so im not looking for much. This was my 2nd time having the salmon. It was decent. Not the best only because the texture was a little on the meaty side. Probably cooked just a tad over. But other than that it was cool. One thing I've noticed though, is the HUUUGE forks! I remember asking the server the last time if I could get a regular sized dinner fork and he kept searching for one lol. There weren't any! I've been to this location before and enjoyed the food so I was excited when someone friends wanted to meet up for food after Friday night service at our church. We had a large group but the service was great for it to be a busy night. Yodi was our server and she was so gracious and patient. Since it was late, I chose an appetizer as a meal. I selected the Chicken Lettuce Wraps. I was willing to eat the tofu that came in it even though I don't really enjoy it but Yodi asked if I wanted it without the tofu without me asking which made my day. The vibes are very chill and the restaurant is huge, so it's an easy place to grab a bite to eat if you're starving after a movie because they also stay open late.
