I dozed off to relaxing spa-like meditative music and before I knew it she was back. She then gave me a special herbal patch placed over my ribs on my chest. No joke my ribs feel better after just 1 treatment. It's great getting effective treatment in a clean, professional and bright spa-like environment. I've seen Chinese medicine doctors before and am usually put off by how unapproachable they are, especially if you ask a few more questions. But she really took the time to explain my diagnosis and her treatment plan for me. I've been living with back pain ever since having kids and my regular doctor just said it was part of getting old and said take pain meds when it got bad. Well, it got bad after a particular workout, but I was tired of taking pain medication regularly that didn't really work. After my first session with Dr. Chan I immediately felt relief. I was able to move and stand and sit normally which I haven't been able to do in years. After the second session, I didn't feel any pain at all and it dawned on me that I may not have to live with this pain for the rest of my life. As for the office, it was newly remodeled and new equipment, so very clean and comfortable. I will definitely be going back!

We carefully reviewed every detail, from the collar to the cuffs, and I quickly realized just how meticulous the art of suit-making truly is or perhaps that level of precision is simply Jerry's signature. At the first fitting, Jerry proudly presented the finished suit and shirt, walking me through every thoughtful detail. He explained the stitching, pointed out how the trousers were subtly tailored at the hem to drape perfectly over the shoes, highlighted the custom embroidery, and even showed the sweat guards sewn into the suit--along with countless other details I would have never noticed on my own. I thought I was coming in for a consultation, and I liked the fabrics and patterns we came up with, but he was disappointed that I was not ready to throw down $4,000 for the custom suit that day. (He convinced me that anything cheaper in his shop wasn't worth my time.) I can see why he likes to close the deal the day of. The more I thought about it, the less comfortable I felt throwing down than much for this suit... I had a few other reasons, too. Anyway, I sent a message to the store the next day, politely explaining why that I appreciated Jerry's time, but the shop wasn't for me. Jerry ended up calling me, and I wish I hadn't answered. He started trying to get me to get his cheaper stuff that had already talked me out of. He was pushy, dismissive of my reasons and all around unpleasant. I think they have some off the-rack suits available, too, and I believe they offer tailoring, but I am no longer interested. He'll probably respond to this and be dismissive again, but those are my two cents. He has a nice assistant. I won't pretend it's bad quality. Still three stars.

My clothes end up looking more high end because of the fit. I've also been trying to reduce my consumption and shop sustainably. If something no longer fits me, they make small tweaks so I can use it for longer. Or if I don't like an old style, they will rework the outfit for me. Lastly, I love how they're very sweet and have your best interests in mind. My husband overheard me talking to them on the phone and said "oh my God, they're sweeter to you than I am!"
