However, this last visit on 04/08, was a little frustrating. The only reason why I didn't give this place 5 stars, is because after my visit, the doctor never sent my prescription to the pharmacy. I messaged the doctor directly, but was unsuccessful. I ended up using the CS CONNECT 24/7 app feature to meet with a doctor. I was given an exam and a new prescription.

The staff at that time was very courteous and attentive to the patients needs, however the staff has changed over the years and they have not find the right person to run the place, medications are not refilled on time (my husband sees the Dr. every 6 months) lab orders are not entered on time, several times this has happened several times, this past weekend same thing happened labs were not ordered even though it was said they were. Joe came across like a complete douche -- angry, hostile, and acting like he had a chip on his shoulder for no reason. I've never dealt with an office manager at a doctor's office who behaved this way. He should not be working at a doctors office where people should be empathetic. He lacks empathy. He speaks as if the patients owe him something and seems critical. When patients are just trying to understand their insurance or get basic information, the least they should receive is professionalism and courtesy. Unfortunately, Joe delivered the exact opposite and left a really terrible impression. This whole office from the doctor to the office manager to the front staff are all horrible and lack customer service. This was the last straw and I stopped going to this god-awful place. With covid and how things are run differently now, communication is KEY! Peggy sent me all the health forms that needed to be completed in a timely manner via email. She was wonderful at responding to my emails, and she made things so easy! They went out of their way to see me in person in a really short notice as my visit required necessary clearance for my nursing program. They only have certain days for appointments but she made an exception for me as my work schedule conflicted with their in-person office visits. Peggy also sent me my labs on a Saturday as I requested if she could send it to me as soon as they receive it.. they are closed on Saturdays and she did that for me (I am so grateful!). I also want to say that I drove from Monterey Park to Dr. Horowitz's office on a Friday during the time that there is so much traffic (traffic alone in this area if you already know is hideous) but I would do it again!
