I've never felt so heard and seen by a doctor as I did when I met Dr. Sera Ramadan. She is kind, attentive, and truly listens. I've only been seeing her for a month, and I'm already noticing real improvements in my health -- something I didn't think was possible this quickly. Appointments are efficient and respectful of my time. I've never waited more than five minutes, and the Silver Lake location makes it easy with plenty of parking, so I don't have to miss much work. Everyone in the office is welcoming and helpful, which makes the whole experience stress-free. While there is a fair amount of paperwork, it's all handled online through the Spruce app. That means I have my own record of everything discussed in appointments, prescriptions, and care details -- an invaluable tool for keeping track of my care. I became a patient at this clinic about a month and a half ago. It was very easy to get an appointment, and the staff was very kind and responsive. I come to the clinic for my primary care needs and weight management. I've seen both Dr. Ramadan and Dr. Liu and they're both INCREDIBLE. They're amongst the first doctors that I've ever had that have actually listened to my concerns without judgement, worked to find answers and diagnoses, and provide me with the proper treatment. I always feel very comfortable and welcomed, and they and their staff never make me feel like a bother when I send a bunch of questions on the patient portal. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Beware! I found this place within my insurance network based on the amount of positive reviews. Let me just say all the negative reviews are spot on.. This began May of 2023. Dr. Ramadan is a great doctor, she listens, understands, is competent and compassionate. However her staff is incompetent and just rude and is unable to get anything done right. As of this review, nothing still has been accomplished. First, they charge $50 to draw blood. For the convenience of not having to go anywhere else. (I didn't get this, like fully understand bc what doctors office charges for drawing blood?!) you will still get whatever bill for the actual blood work itself. On top of the actual office visit charge of I think it was $300-400. When I got the bill in the mail, is when I realized the $50 was just for them to simply draw your blood and not the actual test. They were kind enough to refund me the $50. They charge $40 everytime they check your body mass/measurements etc so they can submit to insurance and keep tabs of progress. Fine. OK. I get it. Now this is where shit gets out of hand. There is a $60 charge everytime a pre authorization is sent to insurance. Regardless if it is the same medication/same dosage. If it's a different medication, another $60 charge. So after 2 different preauths (1 med not in stock, 1 not covered by insurance) and going on 11 months, I get a call from cvs saying the meds are finally in stock but I need a preauth sent from the Dr's office. So I call and message them on the app to send it. Turns out, another one is needed every 6 months. So I need to come back in for another office visit to start all over including another $40 to get measurements. I go in and meet with Dr. Ramadan and explain all my frustrations. She suggested using another pharmacy she frequently refers and will set it up directly with them. This was on a Wed. The very next day (Thurs) I get contacted by that pharmacy. I give them all my insurance info etc. They say they have everything to proceed, just need to wait on Dr's office for the preauth. OK great. I called them the very next day Fri, and they say they're still waiting on my doctors office. I use the app and send a msg to the Dr's office. I call leaving a msg with the answering service requesting an update. (this was Fri). They say they will follow up. I send another message Monday, no response. I send another msg Tues. No response. I call Tues and leave another msg with answering service, nothing. I call and message again Wed. No response. So I call the pharmacy and they said they sent over the preauth on Friday when we last spoke. I requested them to resend it again bc at this point I'm thinking the doctors office lost the paperwork. So they say they will resend. Later that afternoon someone finally calls back from the doctors office and tells me "I don't know why they said they sent it Friday, we never got anything and I spent 30 mins on hold with the pharmacy to have them resend it" she continues to tell me it's not her job to follow up with the pharmacy. At this point I'm beyond fed up. But I've already spent so much money and time at this goddamn doctors office that I want results!! She continues to tell me that she's unable to complete the form today as there's other patients before me. She then says. "Idk if I'll have it by Thurs or Friday, maybe at the latest Monday.." Like what the actual f. During my office visit. Dr. Ramadan already said she has all the paperwork needed to proceed. So now I'm understanding it's not cvs that is messing up, it's not the Dr it's her staff. Bc how can 2 pharmacies have the same issues. We are going on 2 weeks from the doctors visit and still nothing!!!! A waste of time and money and unnecessary frustrations. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

I went to Dr. Ramadan because she was highly recommended by my friend. She was great! I felt heard and not rushed out of there. She's took her time to listen and go over all my concerns. The staff from the moment I walked in was very welcoming and friendly. I appreciate how the office is up front about fees and explained to me what a deductible means. I didn't realize insurance sometimes doesn't cover certain labs until after my deductible is met. The great thing is they have cheap cash prices for labs in case my insurance doesn't cover. Not only that, but it was such minimal wait time - only 12 minutes!! I'm used to waiting 45-1hr. Dr. Sera ramadan terminated me as a patient for missing an appointment. I have been paying $600 a month for health insurance the past 2 years specifically so I can see this doctor. I feel wrongfully discriminated against, if i am unable to see this provider I will sue for the damages you have caused me. I never received any termination letter, and to my horror, my apt today was canceled due to this nonsense. I had scheduled an appt 2 weeks ago just to be told "sorry, you were terminated last year" Dr sera ramadan was on maternity leave last year so Im not sure if that has anything to do with this decision making, but this is wrong. I'm so happy I found a way to give my feedback. Very thankful to Dr. Ramadan . While I was pregnant I started having a very bad shortness of breath. One night I just couldn't handle it My husband took me to the ER right away. The ER doctor told me oh you might have blood clots we have to keep you in the hospital cover your belly and do CT scan. I know women should not do it during pregnancy. He didn't seem to care. I kept saying please find some other way because I had a an ectopic pregnancy before, and I don't want to risk this pregnancy he told me well it's either that or you risk your life. He wasn't considerate at all made me feel so uncomfortable till this angel Dr. Serra Ramadan came! What a genuine kind and sweet human being and doctor. She told me right away you don't need to stay in hospital. long story short after checking my lab test results my legs she told me that I for sure don't need to do CT scan and that things like that happen in pregnancy. And in case I feel worse I can go back anytime. Just the fact of her reassuring me helped me so much with the anxiety when I first got to the ER. It turned out to be all from worrying and stress. Before my 1st visit, I knew I had finally found the doctor, medical team and medical office, that would be my Primary care doctor and office for years to come. While doing my due diligence in searching and researching doctors, medical groups and practices via yelp reviews, google searches, etc. I came across reviews for Dr. Sera Ramadan and Los Angeles Primary Care and their reviews. After reading many of the reviews and reading responses from Dr. Ramadan herself and staff members. I thought to myself this is too good to be true. After my research, I called Los Angeles Primary Care in the evening to leave a message for a return call. Unfortunately, I needed to hang up due to a pressing telephone call that came in before I was able to leave a message. Triumphant in medical CARE protocol -9:40am the next morning I received a telephone call from LAPC. I went in for a standard test and the interaction was exceptionally quick and extremely simple the staff there was considerate too. Dr. Ramadan and I have worked together a little over 6 months. I've been an internal medicine physician assistant for 6 years now and never have worked with a physician as brilliant and compassionate as Dr. Ramadan. She listens to her patients in great detail and does a phenomenal job providing appropriate work up without giving patients the run-around. For example she was able to diagnose a patient correctly with musculoskeletal complaints who visited urgent care and multiple ortho visits by simply listening to the patient. Within 2 days she was able to work up the patient and diagnose her with lymphoma. Specialist were very impressed with her obtaining the appropriate work up and correct diagnosis. She reassured the worrpatient and provided them with referral for treatment I highly would recommend her as a PCP and would let her care for my loved ones. I chose this practice and this doctor based on the stellar reviews. I really wanted an integrative practitioner that treats the body as a whole. I showed up to my appt expecting to have a long, in-depth conversation with the doctor about my medical history and my current medical issues as I a am new patient. Upon being checked in, I was informed that if I discussed ANYTHING that was related to a "problem" I was having medically, that I would be billed as an additional visit on top of my well visit. What?! I can't bring up a single issue?? Also, while the doctor was extremely kind and friendly, we didn't discuss much and I was barely examined. I thought that going to a functional medicine doctor would mean that I had a more thorough exam, but in my over 40 years on this planet that was the quickest and least thorough exam I have ever received. Lastly, when I arrived they informed me that I was to be charged $50 if I wanted labs drawn at the office. I was never told about this in advance. They said it was on the intake form, which I pulled up while in the office and it wasn't there. Then they told me it counted under "administrative fees." How am I supposed to ascertain in advance what administrative fees means? I have insurance and have never once been billed to draw blood. All I was asking was for a little prior notice. Anyway, I am making an appt with my old internist. The doctor seems fine and I'm sure she is great if you have a glaring medical issue. The office and their policies though.... Nope. read more

I had one of the best experiences of I've ever had at a doctor's office with Dr. Ramadan and Wendy. Everything was organized, clean, easy to access and she even took handwritten notes during the visit instead of typing on a depersonalizing computer between us. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!! Just when I thought I finally found the perfect PCP...... they're scammers. Your yearly physical is free with insurance, this is a widely known fact. Yet when I went for my physical, they still tried to charge me a copay. I had to explain to them that this is for my annual physical and there is no copay and then they backed off. But if I didn't, they would've charged me. I had to get bloodwork done (it's an extra cost doing it there so I got it done elsewhere) and when the results came in, they asked me to meet with a nurse right away, as if something was wrong. I was on vacation so I booked my appointment not thinking much of it. Now it's the day of said appointment and they want to charge me a copay for it! So messed up when they are the one's who said I needed this follow up. Luckily they messaged me before the appointment so I told them to cancel it, I don't even need it. I looked at my blood results and everything is the same as it was before. Now to see if they try to charge me a fee for cancelling... I will be fighting it!!! read more

Finding a primary care physician in Los Angeles can be taxing. Mostly because they belong to some type of conglomerate, so you have to jump through hoops even to speak with them. This is not the situation with Dr. Ramadan. They have an app where you can actually text the doctor or the office, as well as another app where you have all your medications delivered within a two hour window of your choosing. But mostly it's how caring Dr. Ramadan is, and I'm very grateful for that! read more

A needle in a hay stack, Doctor Ramadan is one of the most empathetic doctors I have come across. She has the ability to quickly disseminate complex symptoms and provide recommendations that will take into consideration both your physical and mental heath. I came to Doctor Ramadan with serious concerns around continuous chest pains. Needless to say, I had not been leading the healthiest of lifestyles. Within a day, she was able to find the leading cause of this was hereditary high cholesterol. Her approach was two fold - not only did she did provide me with the adequate medication to help control my cholesterol levels, she also coached me into making small (and large) improvements to my diet, and overall lifestyle. I was assessed by Dr. Ramadan for debilitating insomnia on 10/24/21. Her office was very Zen and her staff was very pleasant and helpful. Dr. Ramadan was easy to talk to and she appreciated my concerns and addressed them. Specifically, she went through sleep hygiene and taught me other aspects of sleep that no other doctor has, which i believe is due to her knowledge in functional medicine. And most importantly, i did not feel judged or rushed out of the office. This is def not your typical "primary care" mill. I highly recommend her. read more
