My family love this little pizza shop. The pizza is always delicious but our favorite is the hot wings! There never seems to be enough. The staff that works their is always friendly and courteous. The establishment is clean and accommodating. We have family pizza night often and end up sitting and talking for a while. We never feel rushed to get out. There a few video games to keep the kids entertained. Update: Food is still good. But place is dirty, dark and employed by apathetic individuals who look like they hate their lives. We felt Danny's is overpriced. I know COGs is going up but for the quality of service we received it's not worth it. We called in our order and they said it would take 40 minutes. When we arrived we didn't know why it took 40 minutes for one pizza and wings. The place was empty, as it often is. Perhaps it's their lack of lighting that keeps people away. The restaurant was pretty dim, to the point we weren't sure if they were open. Not sure if they can afford lightening or the staff just wants to appear closed. At pick up the food wasn't very hot. You could tell the staff was annoyed to have to assist us. Hopefully, the owner can get the place back into shape before it's run too far into the ground. read more

If i could give this place no stars i would! The worst customer service and the highest f'n prices for substandard pizza. Called to place an order and asked them if they offered a deep dish pizza since they have no menus online. The girl taking my order told me yes and gave me all the choices of toppings. I placed the order and she told me it would be $30+ for a medium pizza and 10 wings and it would be ready in 25 mins. Cool deal! I thought it would be worth it after reading some of the reviews by other yelpers. WRONG! I get there and the cashier was so damn rude. First off, she sounded like the man on the clear eyes commercial (unenthusiastic) and then had nerve enough to toss my receipt at me to sign and then walked away. She came back with my pizza, asked me if i wanted any cheese or peppers and then dropped the pizza box on the counter and walked away. WTF! I got home and my family was ready to eat. We opened the box of pizza and it was not a deep dish like i had asked for and was told they offered it. I called back and the girl that answered the phone was the same unpleasant girl i had encountered while there. I told her that i was just there and the pizza i ordered was not what was in the box. She rudely said "we don't have deep dish" i told her that i asked specifically if they made deep dish before i even placed my order and i was told they did. She just stayed quite on the phone. She then finally said "well we don't ". I told her maybe they should give honest answers when a customer asks a question and not just say they offer something they knowingly do not make. It took over an hour to get ANY of our meal out. Every time we asked about the food we would get an eye roll and some random excuse from Alexis. Instead of checking on our order they were talking amongst themselves and not doing anything about $80 worth of food not getting out. I got a HALF of a chicken delivered when I ordered a FULL chicken, was told the other half fell on the floor and they would bring the rest out. Then when they brought it out they brought a single wing. One wing still missing a half of a chicken minis one wing. Then there was no cheese on the tables and no beer mugs, had to use solo cups. Im rounding up from 3 1/2 stars that I would give if I could. Danny's is definitely one of the more descent pizza places I've been to in yucaipa. I got my usual standby toppings when it comes to pizza, sausage and pepperoni. The toppings were fresh and there was a good amount. The sauce on the pizza is very tasty. Overall just a tasty pizza. I would definitely recommend the hot wings to anyone going here. They are saucy and you can choose from a range of spiciness. Even their hottest wings don't overwhelm the actual flavor of the wing. On our way to Yucaipa Regional Park for a picnic, we decided to try this spot, as the "competition" doesn't bother to open until mid-afternoon. Happy we did. The Gentleman at the counter was helpful and friendly, even suggesting a cheaper option for us via the daily special. Still a tad pricey, but whatever. The place is dated, but to me, that adds to the small-town charm of the place. I could see the many Youth Sports teams they have sponsored over the years, and as a former (and future) Coach I do appreciate that kind of thing. Our order was to go, and it did not take that long. Very good, because the kids, and the Dog, were getting restless sitting in the Jeep with the Wife. The Pizza here is fantastic! Gobs of delicious cheese (not the cheap kind either) and they don't skimp on the toppings. Our Pepperoni Pizza was great, SO much flavor for a one-topping pie. Our Supreme Pizza was good enough to crack my Top 10 places for "everything" pizzas. Great texture on both and the sauce is delicious, not just some cheap tomato paste crap. Very good Pizza! The Wings were just OK. Your standard vinegar-based buffalo sauce. They are overly-immersed in this sauce, rendering them a bit soggy. I ate them all, they aren't horrible. Just not really MY taste. The Potato wedges were horrible. Pass. Overall, the Pizzas were good enough to outweigh the side orders being lackluster. Hence the rating of 4-stars. You want pizza? STOP. Go nowhere else until you've tried this. I've had Pizza Hut, Dominos, Little Caesars (more times than I can count), Grocery Pizza, John's Incredible Pizza Company, Lucian's, Tuscano's (unfortunately), and even (suppresses gag reflex) Papa John's. But as good as Little Caesars and other places CAN be, Danny's Pizza/Uncle Howie's is THE best pizza I've ever had in my life. Personally, I'm not a fan of the Italian Sausage on offer, but was spellbound by the garlic seasoned chicken... The place itself also shows it's age, in the carpeting, the arcade games, and the quality of the asphalt for the parking lot. It could use a bit of a face-lift, but the tables are clean, as are the seats which are comfortable, and it gives me a bit of nostalgia for the old A&W place before it became "The Fat Greek" Is it pricey? Yeah, but for good reason: For one thing, they use real mozzarella for their pizza. I don't know what the other places use, but this is REAL cheese, you can tell by the texture, and the way the cheese behaves when separating slices. The crust is also a cut above the rest (no pun intended). But let's say you don't like any of that: No problem, there are vegan options, gluten-free options, thin/thick crust options, and so many topping options that you're pretty much guaranteed to find something you'll like/love. On the more superficial front, the arcade offerings are borderline shameful. Verily, one certainly need not reach the lofty heights of John's Incredible Pizza company, but a cheap claw machine filled with cheap plastic balls, a racer, and an old Jurassic Park railshooter is severely lacking. Granted, the racer has interesting mechanics and is a dual-cabinet, but one half-decent game isn't good enough in my opinion. I mean, c'mon, no Ms Pac-Man? Not even GALAGA?!? Meanwhile on THE most superficial front: I love the art on the pizza boxes, I actually cut the top of one out to hang in my room. However, again, the food is what truly matters, and even if Papa John's tasted like pizza as opposed to something fished out of the CDC's biohazard waste disposal site, situated on top of a nuclear waste disposal site served with a side of offal, the phrase "better ingredients, better pizza", still wouldn't be worthy of Danny's Pizza/Uncle Howie's. More like "BEST ingredients, BEST pizza." read more
