Well, we had high hopes for this place. Picked it based on food reviews and band playing classic rock. The waitress was very friendly and attentive until it started to get crowded for the band. She was the only waitress for the entire place! Now the place is not large by any means but definitely needed more than one server. Felt bad for her. We ordered the chicken wings to start which were recommended on reviews.... they were not cooked and the breading, although crispy lacked flavor. Our server was very apologetic and brought out a new plate. We then waited an hour ( because there was only one server) before we were able to get our dinner order placed. Our table ordered the Reuben, it was ok, the Cobb salad, again under whelming and the chicken strips and fries, pretty good. Thankfully we were with great friends and the music was good. I have known the owner for many years and she is an extremely intelligent young lady with a phenomenal work ethic which combines into a great owner of a bar and Grill. Food is excellent and the liquor reasonable. A good time can be had, for sure. read more

Bad service! Walked in to eat only to see empty bar with no bartender, no service. Smelled and is a dive bar! No food to be found!

This is the place that you eventually call "your place". Never too crowded, the people are always friendly, reasonable priced drinks, and awesome energy! Their karaoke nights are extremely fun as well. The staff is super personable and welcoming! I do think they should hire more on though for the busier nights because the staff looks a little stressed at times. So some extra help would be very useful. If you're in the area, this is the place to go to. They have delicious burgers and mouthwatering bar appetizers! Definitely becoming a regular after my first visit. read more

So normally I do a GOOD, BAD, and UGLY segemnt to my reviews, but I think I will just leave it as UGLY. The UGLY (and there's a lot of it.): So I came in the place to try to pick up some food since I've been to all the other places in the mini strip mall (I work down the street, and wanted to grab something new). I go into the dim lit place and sat at a table rather than sitting at the bar. The place has about 3-4 people in the place but it's pretty much dead for the size. I sit and wait....and wait....and wait for a menu. Finally, I get up and ask for 1 from the lady at the bar. She looks at me as if she were sizing me up for a fight. Really who does that? In the words of Chris Rock, "I would never hit a woman...but I would shake the *$%?! out of her!" Then she responds in a snobby tone, "Yeah sure." With my right hand cocked back ready for an actual fight with this lady, I took the menu with my left. I was hesitant to ask for a drink since I already had this bad of service already, but I asked for a Miller Lite since it was on tap. She actually was quick with that. The beer for some reason tasted real flat and bitter. I mean Miller Lite isn't the greatest tasting beer, but I knew it shouldn't taste like that. For me that was it. You screwed up the service and now you screwed up the beer. I was already afraid to think of what the food would taste like. I left the rest of my beer at the bar and stormed out of the place. I went next door to Subway and grabbed a footlong and a cookie I believed I deserved for putting up with all that crap. read more

So I was led to believe that this place attracted a young crowd. Everyone there was in their thirties or so. The overall "feel" of the bar was a little sleepy to be honest. I heard there was karaoke and thought it must be a really fun and energetic atmosphere but mostly it was lazy conversation and pool. Then the bartender refused to serve me because she said she "didn't take my kind of ID." So apparently government issued driver's licenses aren't acceptable IDs or something? It wasn't a terrible bar but it definitely was sleepy and kindof an old people bar. read more

Little place with not much going on, but it was pretty busy... the bartender, Tom, made us feel at home and like we had been there a thousand times before... there was not a huge selection of beer or booze but my husband and i found something we could be happy with. Definitely a dive bar. The staff is very friendly and really the best part of the bar. The food is ok, basic lower end bar food with no frills. The place is pretty dark and kind of smoky. There is just something missing from this place and I definitely wish it was cleaner. I might go back, but given the choice I would try to go elsewhere. read more

This is my all-time fav bar and grill. It's so hidden and easy to miss but worth looking for! I come here all the time. The food is good. They have the best French onion soup around and it's only $5 for a crock. They also have amazing wings! On Friday nights, they have karaoke. It's super fun. On Saturday and Sunday, they have free pool. On Wednesday nights, they have $3 wines. So many amazing specials. They have deals and specials going on every night of the week. You can find coupons on local flavor.com and they even have a punch card system. Finally, the waitresses are sooo good and super attentive. They really have it all going on. Just finished a great lunch at the 'revitalized' Danny's Pub and Grill......wow, what a difference the new ownership has made to the place. Much brighter and more open, with lots of big screens to watch any sport your heart desires! Had the meatball and marinara special, along with Danny's famous french fries and could not have been happier. But if there was a sight for sore eyes it was my favorite waitress Betty......with her beautiful smile and outstanding service this made the experience totally 5 star special. A hidden gem on Rte 59 in West Naperville... Actually the ONLY bar in Naper that I go to. Great staff, great people, great food, great drinks... So this is the first time I have rated a restaurant online- but my experience last week at Dannys is making me. Lets start off my stating the owner closed the kitchen at 8:00PM, even after I called to verify the kitchen being open later than this. The bathroom was disgusting- it appeared that it has not been cleaned in weeks. My boyfriend said the mens bathroom was equally as disgusting- he even said he was afraid the urinal was going to fall off the wall There was also an odor of some type of plumbing leak. I have not been a regular here, but pop in for lunch every couple of weeks. It seems like the quality has dropped recently. OMG. So upset I haven't visited this place previously! One of my besties lives just minutes from here, so we finally visited for a Hawks games and were not disappointed. Perfect "hole in the wall" type feel, very small and cozy, with great service. I don't know how the prices compared (I didn't pay) and didn't have food, but definitely plan to do both (pay and eat!) sooner rather than later. I can't wait to visit again! read more

Danny's is a local bar with typical bar food, fried appetizers, burgers and sandwiches. They have daily food and drink specials. The prices are fair and the portions are generous. They have Guinness on tap so that is always a plus in my book. Nice little pub to watch a game and have a few beers. The staff is extremely friendly. read more

Danny's has all been the favorite dive, for my girlfriend and I. All the bartenders know us, know our order, and take pride in great service. Tonya, though, has always gone that extra step for us. I'm always a simple order. Dark liquor, and I'm happy. But, the lady tends to lean towards much much much sweeter drinks. And, every time, Tonya accommodates. She makes specialty drinks, specifically to match Livie's (gf) taste. I can't tell you how refreshing it is, to meet a bartender who not only EXCELS in her craft, but takes genuine enjoyment in matching her patrons tastes. A true diamond in this dive. read more

Danny's is a great place to stop after work. The staff is friendly and eager to please. Food is simple but delicious!

I went to this place about a month ago and I won't be going back. First, it felt very unwelcoming. The staff completely ignored me for quite a while, especially the waitresses. They walked right past me as I sat at an empty table without even acknowledging me. One of the staff finally walked past me as she was making rounds to all of the tables. She asked me if one of the waitresses acknowledged me yet and I told her "no." She apologized for them ignoring me and said she was going to send one of the waitresses over to my table. Well, I watched her and she did not do that at all. She went over and just stood by another table just watching the room. After about 10 minutes, one of the waitresses finally stopped at my table once I grew a visibly surprised look on my face. She stopped at my table and apologized saying that it was very busy. This was not true. The place was only about 50-60% full and there was adequate staff, especially if the lady I mentioned above was able to stand around without finding a need to help. I couldn't help but to wonder if me "looking different" than the rest of the customers had something to do with it. Well, I finally received my food and it was cooked well although bland. The waitresses brought me my check and I noticed that there an extra $0.15 added to it without my prior authorization. I asked the waitress why was an extra 15 cents added to my bill. I assured her it was not about the money but I was curious. I couldn't believe the crazy excuse she gave me. She said that since the pub was a small family-owned place, they only kept quarters in the establishment so she had the round the bill up to the next quarter. Really? The pub only kept quarters in the cash register? Of course this completely made no sense because: 1. I was paying with a credit card. 2. Why charge me more by rounding up the bill to the next quarter? Why not round down to the next quarter and not overcharge me because the establishment doesn't find a need to keep dimes, nickels, and pennies for coins? 3. It is very hard to run a business and not be paid in all sorts of coins throughout the day. Well, I decided to still tip her the standard tip but I will not be going back to this place and I don't recommend anyone else to either. read more

Only go here if it's thursday or friday when Shawna is working. The blond bar tender that is there most of the other time is horrible. She is slow, rude, can't make a drink right and will yell at you if you don't leave her a big enough tip. She actually even double charged me when she didn't like my tip I left her. Have had pretty good food here before. Tonight had the nachos and Reuben. Reuben and fries were good. Beers were a good price but not cold. Service was friendly and attentive. Nachos with beef were the worst we have ever had. Gross liquid nacho cheese that was cold. Little specs of beef sprinkled over the top. Looked like something scraped from the bottom of a fry pan after running out of meat. A couple scraps of lettuce. Really, really bad and at a cost of about $15-16 with tax and tip. Got a quesadilla to go for my son. He's not fussy and said it was terrible. He didn't even eat 1/2. Hardly anything in it. A few pieces of chicken in the center and the cheese not even melted. No flavor. With tax and tip $14 - when $4 at Taco Bell would have netted a better Quesadilla. Have really wanted to like this place as it is close and like the local bar atmosphere and friendly service. If you go i would suggest sticking to burgers, sandwiches and fries. I have been relocated to Naperville for about a year and for the first six months was looking for a local place to hang my hat and enjoy the company of some good people. Once I found Danny's I knew it was the "Respectable Joint" I would be hanging out in. The regular folks were more than friendly and treated me as a friend, not to mention the double Jack Daniels has been generous--Big Smile!
