Stopped in here last night after a family outing. They had a DJ and a decent crowd. It was like 30+ and 90's R&B/hip hop vibes. We were hoping to try the wings that we heard were so good however by that time the kitchen was closed. The bartenders were killin it behind the bar. We were well taken care of by the bartender at the far end with the long straight black hair. The two baristas deanne (training) and Dina were so confused and not aware of the promotion until we pulled up the facebook post. They still honored it and gave amazing service! But as a business, you shouldn't be false advertising. If it was intentionally posted then as managers you need to do better at updating your employees!! A really yummy spot for some food and some drinks! They have an outdoor seating area out front. The food was really good! Fresh, hot and yummy. I am a senior woman, well liked, classy, intelligent, kind, friendly and have NEVER in my lifetime been kicked out of a bar or any other place. Humiliated, angry and will never step foot in that place again, unless the current "Management" at least one of the Managers that was acting as a Bartender on Sunday evening, 11/16/25 is GONE. I still don't know why I was kicked out and neither does the guy sitting next to me who I know and knows me. I left quite upset and went home, took some deep breaths and went to another local place to see friends and calm down. The experience will always be with me and the "JERK" should be grateful I removed my previous post. It definitely expressed my feelings about his "performance" in kicking a grown Nice woman out of a bar and none of us know why.... He should definitely NOT be in any business where he deals with the public. I was in the hospitality industry for 20+ years and never, ever, verbally OUTRAGED to anyone, no matter the circumstance. This was not our first visit to Paulies but most likely our last. If we were just heading out for a beer and to watch the game, then maybe the review would be different. I was generous with the 3 stars because the staff was nice and the atmosphere is good. Unfortunately we went for food and that seems to be the area this place is lacking. The nachos were chips with what appeared to be shredded cheese that they melted in the broiler or and oven topped with a giant clump or sour cream, what looked like canned salsa, salad cut lettuce, black olives, and jalapeños with rotten seeds that were sliced in giant pieces. No guacamole, no cilantro, no tomato, no beans and barley any onions. The chips were burnt. It wasn't edible. The fries were super greasy and over cooked in what seemed to be an oil temp that was too high. I don't think they change the oil as they should either because the flavor was burnt grease. The spinach dip wasn't even edible. I'm a spinach dip fan and have had many variations of this app and this one was just not good. The Diet Coke was good. The server saw we didn't barley touch the food and offered to comp the nachos. Really the entire thing should have been comped or offered to have something else. I just didn't want to make it weird and complain because they're nice people there. It's ashame because we'd likely go there every week after volleyball if they had good food but alas, it's just not worth the left turn to get there from the gym. I offer this review as feedback in hopes they can improve. All in all, this wasn't worth the calories of fried bar food and guilty indulgences. read more

I went into Paulies for my first time and they opened late ,, the person that opened dailies seemed to be the owner he was trying but the opening late was not a good look maybe a new opening bartender that showed up on time can help. Also can someone explain to me why this is the only place I have been to that charges a VILLAGE TAX ,, what is that????? Went there for lunch with a friend and will never return. We were charged a higher price than what was on the menu. I was charged 35 cents for extra mayonnaise. I substituted fries that came with my sandwich for a salad and was charged $2.00 more. They charged 3 different taxes which I never saw before. My friend ordered a patty melt that the menu said came on "thick rye bread". What she got was marble rye that you buy in a plastic bag at the grocery store. The restroom had one stall with no toilet paper and the other one had 2 rolls sitting out with very little on them. Needless to say it was a very big disappointment. read more

Paulie's is your typical suburban strip mall sports bar neighborhood pub sort of thing, and grading on a curve with other similar establishments in the area, it's a serious winner. The food is good, the drinks are cheap (particularly if you surf the schedules), and the wait staff is super friendly. Don't miss out on the pizza either, it's legendary. We go here all the time when the weather is good because the outdoor patio is amazing and better yet, they allow dogs on it. I'm not sure what the deal is with other places in the area, but it's odd how rare this is. Our dog loves coming out with us, and is always the star of the show when we bring him. Also, I love how on the patio they have varied furniture beyond just typical tables and chairs. The patio couches they have are really great for chilling out and drinking beers on. If you're in the area, definitely check this place out- Particularly if you're into bringing your dog places. read more

Unfortunately I was only able to have one drink before feeling as if my ears were going to bleed, so I wasn't able to try the food. Our server was nice enough to ask the bartenders to turn the music down so that we could order without having to yell, however her request was denied.. The 10 minutes there we saw 5 other parties walk out within minutes of entering due to the noise. Paulie's is a better than average joint to grab a sandwich, watch a game, and/or hang out for drinks. We've been here for dinner twice since it's conveniently located next to another business that we frequent on a weekly basis around dinner time. They have a diverse menu here with just about any kind of sandwich, soup, salad or plate of food that you can imagine. Their beer menu, I felt, was a little lacking but it did include a few fav's like Guinness. I've had their club sandwich, chili and a wrap..all were decent. Paulie's seems a tad expensive but nothing over the top. If you're looking for dinner I'd recommend a stop. So Paulie's is just your typical neighborhood pub, nothing fancy - but what's the harm in that? I like how convenient their location is and I like knowing I can pop in on any day of the week for a drink special and a cheap meal. I've been here about 3 times now on a Monday, and a couple Fridays. Seems like a good local spot to watch a game as well, so maybe my husband and I will come in for the next Bears game. Unfortunately, the first time we wanted to come in for dinner and drinks they had a private party utilizing all of their tables in the back room. This caused the front of the bar to be super packed and there wasn't anywhere to sit not even up at the bar. This was also probably because they had live music happening up front as well - wish we could have stayed to enjoy that! But sadly, we left and had to go somewhere else for a quick bite (not the best first impression, but it happens). The other two times I came in I've had great experiences with my friends! I've sat out on their outdoor patio and also at a high top table inside the bar. Drink specials were great both times - I was all about their $3.50 Oktoberfest and $5 domestic pitchers. Not bad, not bad at all. The food is good! Nothing to get all hyped up about (again, nothing fancy), but it's worth ordering! I've had their nachos, chopped salad, and Philly cheese chicken sandwich and fries and I thought it was all delicious! Great compliment to a cold beer - which they definitely have. I was actually pleasantly surprised to be given a frosted glass with super cold beer. Always a win in my book. My experience with their service so far has been 50/50. I've had one waitress who was pretty out there. It could have been a cultural thing (I think her accent was Russian), but she made my friends and I feel a tad strange with some of her judging remarks. She also would walk away when we were mid-sentence asking for something. At one point we asked for water and she literally said "Really, just water? You're not going to have another beer?". Um...yeah. So there's that. I'll decide what I'd like to drink thank you very much. On the other hand - I've also had a wonderfully helpful servers! They were so sweet and checked in on us frequently. Regardless, if you live in the area, definitely check out Paulie's for yourself and enjoy a casual dinner and a drink! We ended up here on a late Sunday afternoon after twenty minutes of "where do you wanna go?" "I don't care, where do you wanna go?" This routine is typical before any outing, and 90% of the time, I throw a name of a place out there and M goes along with it (it's very rare he'll suggest something new and we try it). So, I suggested Paulie's, as it's close to home, has a full bar, and we were enticed by a few menu items. We arrive to see a party of three on the patio but that was it. Inside was fairly quiet as well, except for a large, loud group of twenty-somethings gettin' their "drank on." The interior is pretty bare-bones; minimalistic, even. Not very impressive. We took a seat ("seat yourselves") at a high top table and began to browse the menu. I expected our server to immediately pounce to our table and take our drink order.... but no. Five minutes later, we were finally approached by our waitress. We ordered Bloody Mary's and continued to decide on some grub. When the girl returned with our drinks, we placed our order. I chose the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich: your choice of breaded or grilled chicken, covered in marinara and melted mozzarella on garlic toasted, thick cut sour dough bread. (I picked grilled, natch). M opted for the Turkey Bacon Pretzel Roll Melt (no tomato). As I went to take a sip of my drink, M looks at it and goes "What IS that?" I look to see the paper piece from inside a bottle top (probably the Worcestershire sauce) floating in my drink. I laughed and picked it out. NBD, it's not like it was hair or a fly. Our food arrived and we dug in. The french fries are amazing. The funny thing is, they tasted like calamari slightly... but they don't serve calamari. It was obvious that they do not fry in fresh oil, as you can taste other food flavors on the french fries. I guess that's why I enjoyed them so much.I loved their coleslaw, no complaints there. As for my sandwich, it was extremely greasy and immediately I knew I'd have a wrecked belly later on. I decided that maybe only eating half would keep the intestinal distress at bay. The chicken was okay, loved the marinara and mozzarella. The bread was delicious, but too greasy. M enjoyed his food though; he didn't leave a crumb (god, I wish I had his metabolism). Their food is pretty pricey, IMO. We initially wanted some appetizers but when we saw that they cost nearly the same as the entrees, we scrapped that idea rather quickly. It seems much of the waitstaff working that day (flirtacious, inexperienced girls all under 24) cared more about tending to their regulars than anything else. Those waiting on tables looked bored. We waited a bit too long for our server to return with a box for me, and then finally the check. Not entirely her fault, as she was the only server out on the floor, at least that I could tell. Be warned, their AC definitely works. I had a case of "The Goose" during my entire visit (goosebumps). That alone did not encourage a lengthy visit. Another contributing factor was that rowdy party of twenty-somethings a few tables away. One of 'em went to the Touch Tones music player, put on some hip hop or rap or something along those lines, and thug walked his way back to his table. We quickly paid our tab before drunken shenanigans could ensue and..... exit stage left. While I didn't love or hate Paulie's, I didn't fully enjoy my experience here. I don't usually leave reviews but felt the need to do so after ordering takeout from Pauline's! we ordered pretzel bites and cheese not realizing that something so simple could go so wrong. The "mouth watering pretzel bites" were stale and hard as rocks and the cheese sauce was cold and straight from a can. Not edible in any sense. The Buffalo Burger was supposed to be medium with a slight bit of pink but was more than well done. The bottom bun was so soggy while the top bun was as hard as a rock. I'm not sure what made this a Buffalo Burger except maybe the teaspoon of some kind of sauce that was included that had zero flavor but was the correct color. Lastly, the fish and chips were a disaster. The fish was fried beyond the point of edible. This was a 50.00 meal that went straight to the garbage. I've lived in the area about 5 years now and I'm grateful there's a restaurant/pub like this one close by me. The owner and the staff I've known there have all been really cool people. When it comes to vibe and service it feels relaxed but still customer focused. it's a great place to catch up with someone, watch a game, shoot the proverbial %*+$ with neighbors and have a drink. Place was empty, i asked if one of the many TVs could be changed to a soccer game, it was the MLS cup game ....they waited until AFTER serving our drinks that the channel wasn't available. Game was on FOX, they had YoutubeTV yet the "channel" wasn't available ...., asked for the check when told the channel wasn't available, had to walk down to the bartender to hand him my card to pay since it was another 10 minute wait.
