The way he interacted with every guest showed how much he truly cares. Since it was my first time, he took the time to walk me through the menu and gave me a great recommendation. I ordered the specialty bowl with shrimp, steak, and chicken over fried rice and it absolutely hit the spot. My wife had the chicken and fried rice bowl, and she loved it too. They're very generous with their portions and all the different sauces they offer, which made the experience even better. I enjoyed it so much that I came back the very next day to try the ribeye with fried rice and somehow, it was even better than the first meal! I'm excited to keep coming back and work my way through the menu. It's awesome to have them in our neighborhood seven days a week. The parking is either street parking or the adjacent lot for $6. There is seating on the grass nearby or at The Victorian restaurant next door. The lot is small and a little crowded with the trucks, the lines and people walking through. There are also a couple of vendors selling jewelry and trinkets. Drinks are sold at a makeshift bar or at The Victorian. It's a nice event where you can try food from several trucks without having to deal with massive crowds and traffic. While I enjoyed it, my suggestion would be that the folks who operate the Santa Monica food truck lot hire some live entertainment.
