Green avocado salsa!

Honestly, I am a professional foodie who recognizes good food made with love!! This is by far one of the best Mexican spots in my town! I live in the area and I highly recommend this place! You can tell authentic food when their sauces are on point, not to mention the al pastor burritos were delicious and their carne asada tacos simply the bomb!! The staff were very humble and welcoming!! They seem to excel in cleanliness and quality... We will pick them above all others! Thank you.

This my first time writing a review and my first time coming here and these boys hooked it up can't even lie. Was quick with it too. I would definitely recommend for a late night meal if you fried. 2$ a taco (atleast on Tuesday)

I was in the neighborhood recently and wanted tacos so I came back to this old favorite. I was surprised to see no lines but it was a bit windy and chilly that day so maybe that's why. Tacos are now $2 each and I wouldn't complain normally but the quality/taste was also not the same as before.. What happened El Primo??

We finally made it to their truck on Saturday, 3/21/26! El Primo Tacos catered my daughter's event in Culver City and this year was the second year we went and we absolutely love their food. After the event, we have been craving for their food ever since and we were so excited to finally have it again. They are located on Lincoln Ave in Los Angeles. The line wasn't bad, it went pretty fast. The only thing is that they don't have a menu so you kind of just look at the people in front of you and ask questions. It would be nice to see what other options they have besides taco, burrito and quesadilla. So went off from what we know and what we've had at the event. We ordered 2 burritos with pastor and asada and added pineapple and it was so tasty! The pineapple added that extra flavor and it was so good. We ordered asada quesadilla and asada tacos and pastor tacos as well. Wished the servers wore gloves but it was ok. All looked clean. They also had several toppings like onions, cilantro, limes, cucumber etc and salsas as well. There were no price posted so we just trusted the guy at the end to let us know how much everything came out to. We ordered 2 burritos, quesadilla, 3 pastor tacos, 3 asada tacos and our bill came out to $48. Not bad for all the food we got and the best part is that everything was delicious! It is hard to stand out especially in LA where there is a taco stand in every corner but this one is definitely our favorite. We tried the famous taco stand in Palms but we really preferred El Primo Tacos over that one. Service was good. Parking on the street or at Ralphs parking lot. They have a couple of tables if you want to eat there but it is mostly to go type. Definitely worth the try!

They are not located in a brick and mortar building. They are located on the street. Each mini taco is $2.00. We ordered 4 carne asada tacos and 1 Al Pastor taco. Then we ordered a $10 carne asada burrito. The meat was very flavorful. They were cool about taking the order. I was first alone but in a minute or two later there was a two or three people in line behind me.

CASH ONLY! Tacos were so good! You get to put toppings on urself! Workers are nice & fast. No seating, limited tables for eating, so we stood.

These street tacos were a hit! I came off a recommendation from Tik tok. One of the best asada tacos on the westside, super juicy and flavorful. The sauces were also delicious!

top left: carne asada (steak), middle bottom: al pastor (marinated pork), and top right: lengua (beef tongue)
Jennifer P.

First time here and was not disappointed!! The food is delicious, I think my favorite out of the 3 I got has to be the marinated pork (al pastor). The steak and beef tongue were delicious too. The overall service was very friendly. I love me a self-serve sauce bar. I would definitely come back here. The price of each taco is $2. This place is cash only. The place is shaded and there are some stools to sit on if you wanted to eat there. Oh! when I navigated to the place I didn't see it, but then I found them on the other side of the road from where they previously was. I parked in the Ralphs' parking lot for easier access. Hope that helps for any new person looking to try!

Half eaten burrito, Two tacos. 7/10

This place was really good and affordable before. Still not as expensive as a restaurant but they're getting there. $12 for a burrito now (with cheese) quesadilla with cheese only is like $10 and tacos are now $2 each I believe. Food is still great but not like before. Hopefully they don't raise their prices any more otherwise I'd have to look for a different spot.

Asada. Chicken. Al pastor. - it's fine.
Makoto C.

This is the stand in front of the Ralph's. The people who work here are cool which is a nice because the area can sometimes be a little shady. They didn't carve the Al pastor off the block but instead scooped it out of a stainless steel dish. It's good if you don't do street tacos that often. If you're a street taco enthusiast then it's just mid. There is a much better street taco place nearby. I'm glad I tried it because it's been on my list. It just didn't wow me.

It was my first time here, so I wasn't sure where to go at first, but it's pretty easy to figure out. They have separate lines for tacos, burritos, and aguas frescas, which keeps everything organized and moving smoothly. I went straight for the tacos. I ordered two carne asada, one chorizo, and one al pastor. The condiment setup was also really good. Let me tell you, this hit the spot! I loved the grilled onions, serranos, hot sauce, and especially the curtido de habanero,so good. The carne asada was okay slightly on the tougher side but the chorizo and al pastor were really solid. Taco prices are fair, but the aguas frescas felt a bit on the expensive side. Overall, I'd definitely come back again.

I came here for dinner on a week night and my experience here was pretty good. I had the asada and al pastor tacos with all the toppings and they were both so good and full of meat and heat. The toppings can be spicy for some, so be warned. My favorite of the two was the all pastor which was flavorful and I did like the thinly shaved meat. It was not dry at all and was fresh. I also tried the mulita with al pastor meat and that was also soso good. Cheesy, meaty, and indulgent. The additional topping section had good variety with pickled onions, cucumbers, etc. and everything seemed pretty fresh. Unfortunately, they were pretty much out of the roasted pepper and grilled onions at the time I went. To drink, I had the horchata and that was also very delicious. It was huge, sweet, and creamy. I also loved how it was not grainy at all. A good pairing with the rich foods. They also have a good amount of seating at the stand with a long table and multiple chairs. Parking is tricky since its street parking only.

Having been to so many taco stands, I think what makes Tire Shop Taqueria really stand out are the right-off-the-grill charcoal-grilled meats, the freshly made tortillas literally in front of you as you are waiting on line, and the free guacamole that comes with each taco. The ordering process is like any other taco stand, though one difference is here the salsas/guacamole are all handled by the staff. If you'd like more of something, just ask them instead of reaching for the ladle yourself. There is a separate area though for grilled onions/peppers and radishes you can serve yourself. I got the asada, chorizo, cabeza, and al pastor, and they were all so good. The asada and chorizo are specifically grilled over charcoal, and that flavor really shines through. I loved how meaty and tender the cabeza was too, and the classic al pastor hit the spot. They have large communal tables setup, so it is a great friendly vibe to enjoy your meal I will say, the surrounding area is not the best in LA, especially given how the taco stand is only open at night. The parking lot is quite small, so I parked on a side street that had some abandoned cars, but of course, if you are in/from LA, this is not that new for us. I would hesitate if I am a tourist though to make it out here. Anyhow, the food really is worth it here, and I can't wait to be back!

We found easy street parking in the neighborhood on 41st Street, and waited in line for about 15-20 minutes. We ordered the asada tacos. They pre-sauce your tacos, which was fine by me, but my boyfriend who can't handle as much spice would've preferred it on the side (so warning for anyone similar! they do put a little habanero on them, so just ask them for salsa on the side). I think I ran into a problem of reading too many raving reviews -- these tacos were good but I was expecting them to be mind blowing, so I was a little disappointed. I tasted the charcoal char, but kind of wished the taste was more pronounced, or at least the meat more seasoned. The hand made tortillas were definitely the coolest part, but I thought they were a little dry too. The ladies whipping those out are artists though. Actually, all the workers here have the assembly line down to the tea, and they definitely add a little flare for a show. I particularly liked how they had a lot of seating at this location, instead of just a couple stools lying around like most taco trucks. It felt more like outdoor patio seating than a normal taco stand. They could probably take more time to wipe down tables more often though. Overall would visit again if in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way for the tacos here.

Everything is beautifully plated, super vibrant, and the portions are perfect for sharing (though you'll definitely want to order more than you think). It's light but still satisfying, and I always leave feeling. good, not heavy. Pro tip! If you don't feel like waiting in the long line (which can get wild), here's the move: skip it and head straight to the counter. If there's an open seat, grab it and order right there. The sea bass entree was good and had a beautiful presentation, it was also nice for sharing, but the number of bones to pick out was a little annoying. That's what you get with ordering a full fish though! Not their fault. The pulpo tacos were tasty too, I love their handmade blue tortillas. But probably my least favorite of the bunch. I like that they were open late to satisfy a late night taco craving. Even though there is typically a line they are quite efficient with orders and even have a parking lot/outdoor dining space in addition to their indoor space so it doesn't feel cramped. It was my first visit so I had to get a mix of their tacos and burritos with the various meats they serve. It was a nice fact to know their tortillas have some lard also so it adds a nice flavor as well. + Burrito 2.0 (asada) + Chivichanga (chicken and beef) + Tacos (chorizo, tripe, cabeza, asada) I enjoyed the burrito with asada and thought it was good portion size for the cost. The guac, cheese, and beans pair well with the meat and has a nice grill on the tortilla. The tacos were a solid size as well but I was surprised to find the tripe as my favorite because they fry it and it adds a nice crunch/texture change. The cabeza was a close second with the stewed flavors. The chivichangas were also tasty but not the traditional chimichanga I was anticipating. It's definitely on the softer side as everything mixes together and there's not much of a texture change. Worth trying if you are curious though. I ordered to go so I didn't see if they have a salsa bar but I did have to pay $.10 per to go container which would be nice if they were free. However, I liked mixing their red and green salsa with each bite. I am curious to try their avocado salsa next time.
