YAAASSSSSS We were STARVED and even my Omni daughter loved everything!! Women owned, family business that is top notch Vegan Mexican food!! We started with Elote Fried Corn Ribs. That sauce!! I ordered the Taco Plate with Al Pastor & Jackfruit Carnitas, and side order of an Asada Taco. Rachel ordered the Flauta Plate. Chef Aileen came to our table to check on us, after her niece (our server) let her know we came because of a FB group recommended. She was ... where are your chips? We make them fresh to order... so we added chips & guac. OMG Then she came back later, checking in again, we were so happy, and how I was wanting the Aguachile next time. She says, wait, I have extra from another order, you can try. Light, fresh, spicy, similar to ceviche, yet more complex flavor. Dang. Yeah, gotta come with Jennifer!

I wish there were some onions and cilantro and guacamole to add more variety to the nachos (but maybe that's not super authentic, so if that's the case then disregard!) As for the burritos, they were HEFTY. My husband and I shared the nachos and then could each only finish half of our burritos. They were delicious though and I really enjoyed the leftovers for dinner as well! I do wish the menu had a bit more variety, but I think the nachos and burritos will be a repeat order for me!

Server was chit chatting mostly with whom I'm assuming was a friend and food took a long time BUT I sat at the bar and saw the cook working and giving every fish he worked in his undivided attention, so I can appreciate that. Firstly, since it's all plant-based, I was able to eat literally anything off the menu, which is always delightful. Started the meal with a Tricolore Salad and the Pizza Montanara for appetizers. The Salad was good, best when you can get a bit of every ingredient in each bite. The Pizza Montanara was hotter than magma when we received it, but once it cooled and we were able to tear it into pieces, it was very, very good. These two items themselves would be a great light meal. We had glasses of red wine with the main course, which paired well with the pastas we chose. One Vesuvio, which was really tasty with a little chili heat (not so much so that it made eating it a rough job,) and another pasta dish that I can't recall the name of that was very lemony and cooling. We both shared these dishes and the alternating between the two very different flavor profiles was really fun. The online menu doesn't have these pastas listed in the "Dinner" section, but the in-store menu did. The only thing that was kind of a bummer was that they were out of things like meatballs, olives, and a couple other items, but we were still able to choose dishes that were delicious. The restaurant's vibe is very laidback and like, elevated casual, if that makes sense. They have great little water glasses and everything has a modern feel, from the green decor accents to the fancy pasta forks, which are the first of their kind I've ever seen. The bathroom had a bidet, which was my first experience with the same, and it was cool and fun. Thorough! I laughed at the sticker on the bidet saying it WILL spray you in the face. All in all, this was a fantastic experience. Definitely be patient with finding parking, as we all know how 4th Street is. This will likely become a favorite celebration meal destination.

However, last Saturday I believe was the 5/23/26, they had an event and an artist guest came and performed for the guests. It was nice, but it was also very packed in there with people out the door. We snuck through the back just to get in, people standing and blocking traffic because there was no room and space. We had to wait in a small crammed isle area towards the bathroom. It took awhile for our simple togo order to get done--which was also mistakenly given to someone else. They couldn't figure out simple logistics. There were also others who got wrong orders while we stood there waiting. They had to re-make people's pizzas while the pizza had to be given away for free because it had already been touched. My gripe is that in the future, if you're having an event, (maybe they do this here all the time), please have a floor manager to alleviate the crowd and simple operations and logistics to handle the lines, the crowd control, and providing fast and accurate service. Not just making the food right, but with time, and a comfortable environment. They could have made it more. It was so busy, that they either looked to be short-staffed or got confused on a lot of their orders. In short, in the future their manager should do better in operations and executing the the transactions to flow more smoothly. If you're having a guest performer, find a way to also make that work better. Maybe make people not block the pathways, more chairs or seating outside, have a bigger venue or open some areas to fit better..maybe they like this intimate atmosphere but it did not work for half of the guests there just trying to get in and out. This review is not to burn the spot but to encourage them do better in the future. This is just to help them understand and hopefully this helps to provide constructive feedback..because I know the owner here reads a lot of these comments..
