He stayed late when he didn't have to and did not charge me for the service, he wouldn't even accept money after I tried to still pay him. He didn't have to stay late or choose to help me when he could've been on his way home. The owner chose to be kind, chose to help me and I greatly appreciate it. I then drove into this tire shop at 6:15 p.m. I asked the attendant if they can repair my tire. She said they were closed, but maybe they would be able to help me. The manager said it would be no problem. Ten minutes later I was on my way. Tire repaired! Additionally the personnel I encountered at Mavis Tire was a breath of fresh air. They went the extra mile to please all their customers as I noticed other patrons thanking the staff for a job done well.

On top of that, they tried to tell me my rear brakes needed to be done soon -- which immediately raised a red flag because I had just had my rear brakes replaced in December. Not feeling confident in what I was being told, I asked them to just put my spare on and went to my regular mechanic afterward. Not only were they able to patch the tire without any issue, but they also showed me there was simply a screw in it -- nothing close to what I had been told at Mavis. They also confirmed my rear brakes are in perfectly fine condition. (Which I figured as again the pads, rotors and calipers where just replaced by my mechanic in December) What makes this even more upsetting is the feeling that I was being taken advantage of. I came in wearing scrubs, clearly on my way to or from work in healthcare, and it's incredibly disheartening to think that someone would try to push unnecessary repairs on me anyway. It's not just about being a woman -- it's about basic honesty and integrity, especially when someone is trusting you with their safety and vehicle. I understand that shops need to make money, but misleading customers and recommending unnecessary work crosses a line. I won't be returning, and I strongly recommend others get a second opinion outside of this establishment.

I had already ordered my own set of tires, but three of them were delayed in shipping. Since one tire had arrived, I brought it in and asked them to replace the damaged tire that was leaking air and shredded along the inside edge. When I returned to pick up my car, it looked like they had done a rotation instead. The new tire was put on the front driver side, and the damaged tire was still on the rear. As soon as I started driving, I realized the back tire was still flat and unchanged. I had to go right back. After waiting another hour, they finally corrected it. When it was done, I was told to get my keys from the driver outside. I went out and found an 18 year old employee sitting in my car along with a woman from the front counter, both playing around while I stood there waiting for about five minutes. He kept putting my window up, and she was pushing it back down, triggering the anti trap feature over and over again. They repeated this multiple times, which was completely unprofessional. I actually had an appointment scheduled to come back and install the rest of my tires, but after this experience I will be going somewhere else. Very disappointing and overall a bad experience.

Owner dishonesty told me "they were in great condition, come on down". I can't afford new tires as I am broke and have kids. I told him that before I drove my truck to get them from 50 miles away! Spent $30 on gas for clearly what was a tire that could literally get you or someone else killed. Anyone this dishonest and uncaring for human life including my 3 kids should be ashamed and barred from dealing with public again. Don't trust them as far as you can throw them.
