I usually stop here upon occasion. The food here is more like home cooked food. There are absolutely no complaints from me. The customer service is never hit and miss, they are always very nice. They offer blue plate specials as well as items that stay on the menu. Today we tried deep fried artichokes. They were good. I would write more, but I have to get going. I would definitely recommend!

Down home southern food, not a very big Selection but you can always have breakfast Anytime at Dans. Like others have said the food could definitely come out hotter. Don't know why it comes out Barely Luke warm. The wait staff do a good job getting the meals And drink refills out, so it must be a kitchen problem. This place is beyond Ramsey's Help

OH-MY-GOODNESS I think I just had THE BEST burger in my entire life! I'm am not kidding you and in a truck stop!!! My beautiful Aunt told me the burgers were amazing and holy crap she wasn't kidding! I had the mushroom, Swiss, grilled onion burger. They are 1/2 lb of some dang delicious beef. The toppings were so so good omg! Giant cups for endless Diet Coke. (Bonus) This is really far from my Aunt in Lucedale and me down on the coast but I will be more then ready to take a drive up here anytime! You go Dan's Diner! Your servers are sweet- Don't change a thing!

It is only open for lunch from 11-2pm Tuesday through Saturday. We made sure we got in line a few minutes before 11am. Yes a line, so get there early. The doors opened right at 11am and you order from the counter and have a seat. The staff is welcoming and assist with the line and seating to have everything move smoothly. The prices were not bad at all and we got alot of food. The fried chicken is out of this world. A must get. You won't regret it. It is so flavorful with crispy skin, yet moist chicken. Also, it is not super greasy which was my favorite part. I enjoyed the green beans and corn on the cob. The jalapeño corn bread was amazing! My mom got the black eyed peas, mac n cheese, and regular cornbread with her fried chicken. She raved about the black eyes peas. We also ordered banana pudding and Mrs. Pearl's Cheesecake. The banana pudding was my favorite and a great sweet treat to round out my southern meal. The inside of the diner is not very large but does have plenty of seating inside and some outside. While we did not see Mrs. Pearl, her sister greeted us and was definitely running the diner while we were there.

It truly feels like you just walked off the beach and straight into a laid-back island restaurant. The food? Unreal. So good I completely forgot to snap a pic of the shrimp and grits--they were THAT good. And the biscuit... wow. It tasted like something your great-grandmother would've had sitting on the table all day, warm and perfect. Coffee was spot on too (especially with a splash of Bailey's ), and the spuds were seriously mouthwatering. Add in the great music and chill vibe, and it's just a cool little spot you'll want to keep coming back to. Highly recommend!!

Liz's exterior appears a little downtrodden and parking a bit limited, but inside is welcoming with a bright and shiny Louisiana ambiance. We had excellent service and Liz herself dropped by and welcomed us. We ordered a variety of specialties, with me enjoying an egg scrambler with all the trimmings, my wife having a sumptuous roast beef po'boy and my son having a burger and fries. All were very good and our iced tea glasses were never allowed to be empty. We were seated immediately, but business is brisk and you may need to be prepared to wait at peak times. We look forward to returning!
