I don't know why we've never been here until tonight, but it's your typical collegetown burger joint. We only come to Hattie to visit family, and we were in the area for Christmas. I wanted to try their gluten-free buns, which did NOT disappoint. Their fries risk cross-contamination, but I took some enzymes and didn't have any side effects. They have a nice dog-friendly patio with ample seating. Our mini goldendoodle had the best time! We will definitely be back.

Today I had to go to Laurel, Ms to pick up a vechile. On the way back we decided to stop at Ed's Burgers in Hattiesburg, Ms.. My wife just got a normal burger and I got the June special burger which had Jerk sauce & pineapple relish on it. My burger had a very good taste overall but the burgers were over cooked. I also ordered a peach shake & that was scrumptious!! Everything came pretty quickly. My wife like the place because of all the Post-a-notes everywhere. Neat Place....

The food was mediocre at best. My husband and I both got the turkey burger with fries and 2 drinks which came out to about $33 before tip. The amount of fries you get is laughable. The service for a Sunday afternoon was pretty quick but the fries came out room temperature. What I did love was the activities available outside on the patio, the giant connect four, hula hoops, ping pong, etc. They are also dog friendly. I don't think it'll be a place we'd ever go back to if we're ever in town again but I think if you're a local and looking for a cool spot to hang out for a while and grab a quick bite to eat, this would be the place.

Food was great with locally made hamburger buns. Chili cheese fries and jalapeños. Service was fast and great. Great music and ambience. Must try it when you're in the area. Right across from USM.

"Best burgers in the state!! Hands down. We stop at Ed's every chance we get. The food is always hot, the service is quick, and the flavor never disappoints. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Hattiesburg."

Jalapeño popper burger? *chef's kiss. Delightful! I was kinda unimpressed with this place on my last visit. But I'm here in town visiting the youngest and he wanted to come here. I got the jalapeño popper burger and switched out the traditional burger to a turkey burger. It. Was. Delicious! Youngest got the bacon cheeseburger. Oldest got the cheeseburger. Food came fast and fresh. Messy and yummy. Fun place. Friendly staff. Clean establishment.

Delicious. The burger was absolutely delicious. Salt to patty ratio was great. The bacon was the perfect crispiness. The burger comes with two patties, which I was thankful for since they were smash patties. I ordered the fries to go with them and they were good; however, my partner had the tots and they were better so I'll definitely order those next time. We walked into the restaurant at just the right time because after we ordered, there was a line out the door and the people didn't stop coming. So glad we found this place for our one night stay in Hattiesburg. The line was long, but somehow there was plenty of seating. The weather was comfortable as well so a lot of people sat outside.

While on a trip we drove past this 2 story burger joint. Looked cool so we went inside and ordered some really good juicy burgers! I had the fried jalapeño burger. It was good but missing sweet jam. Next time I'll Know to order it. We had the fried pickles ..... not my favorite so I won't orders those again. The milkshakes OMG! Worth it! Get it. Slurp them up and enjoy. The atmosphere is loud and enjoyable. All the sticky notes everywhere along with old car parts makes this a very family friendly place to check out.

Ed's is one of our go-to places when we are in Hattiesburg for something. The burgers are nicely sized with a good grill char on them. They have a few creative burgers that are unique. I had the El Magooey (two patties with pimento cheese between and on top, kind of like a Juicy Lucy burger) and it was divine! The tater tots were nice. The fries have the skins on them which is a little different but tasty. They have a good selection of draft brews, but I had to default to an old friend --- PBR in a can! And cheap! (as it should be). The staff is super friendly, and the overall atmosphere is very casual. A great place to stay a while and eat and socialize. It gets loud and crowded at peak times, but the food comes out quickly. The outside seating is fun if the weather cooperates. The parking is odd. The spaces close up are either handicapped spots or for To-Go orders. It is best to park around back in the big shopping center parking lot and walk up.

    Outdoor seating with games!

Burgers were good, though a bit pricey for what we received. Service was what I would expect for a walk up counter.

The lighting is a bit dim for our old eyes but otherwise it has the feel of a pub. We loved that. Our server was very nice and helpful. We ordered the bacon cheddar fries. The fries are like a cottage fries that are then cut into strips. Perfect fry on them. The bacon could have been crispier but great flavor and a good ranch. I had the KPauls pasta. We all enjoyed it. Pasta cooked perfectly al dente. If you love a saucy pasta this isn't for you. It is nice and creamy but not swimming in it. Big plump shrimp that tasted great. Also has chunks of chicken breast and sliced sausage. Uncle Jim got the red beans and rice. Great flavor but barely warm. The catfish is a thicker cut and battered in a coarsely ground corn meal. Aunt Robin had the shrimp and grits. Those were the star of the show. So creamy and incredible flavor. Very generous amount of nice sized shrimp. Mike had the Keg Stand burger. He requested the sauce on the side. It's definitely a unique flavor. Nice soft bun. The meat was grossly over cooked but would have been tasty had it not been so dry. The onion rings that came with the burger were soggy. Overall, enjoyed it. We know what to get next time. Shrimp and grits and KPauls pasta!!

I'm not sure where to begin with this review, because we very much wanted to enjoy this restaurant,…read morebut it was not a very good experience in any sense. We were in Hattiesburg for the night and found Murky Waters through their website, which indicated through their menu, photos, prices, and their suggestion that reservations should be made that this was elevated southern barbecue. It is not. Which is fine, if that's what you're serving and charging for. But here's what we got: "Smoked ahi tuna dip" = canned tuna salad ($12.95, served with Keebler Club crackers) Ham & cheese po' boy- it was just a ham and cheese sandwich on a long roll, and the roll was cold ($13.95) My son liked the brisket, but said the Mac & cheese was not good. My family got refills on their drinks, but my drink came in a smaller glass and I didn't get a refill. We all got soda, so I'm not sure why. The restaurant is pleasant, but we were seated directly in front of the window unit air conditioner so we had to decide which one of us would be the most uncomfortable while eating. The bill was over $100. After discussing it, we all felt that we would have felt better about the entire thing if the food had been more fairly represented and priced. If you go, don't order the tuna.
