So ignore all my previous reviews where I have said I plan to cut back on drinking, lol. My daughter and I both got different flights and did "family" style. I wanted to try as many wines before joining. 14 samples!!! Sold! My wife decided to join in the fun later and also got a Robere flight. Sorry, I missed the first two pictures of the wines. But see all the other bottles that we sampled. All of which were good. Plus I am more of a red drinker, so the 1 white sample was more than enough. Atmosphere - Small tasting room. Indoor and outdoor seating. Small parking lot. Private room available. Open 5 days a week. Standard hours = Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2pm to 6pm. Fridays from 1pm to 6pm. Saturdays from noon to 6pm. Sundays from noon to 5pm. Winter days and hours differ; see website. Service - Carol was great. We were also greeted by the new owner Ravii. Congrats. Also met Ravii's daughter for a brief second. Look forward to the pick up party, which I had to change my travel schedule just to attend. :) The things I do for good wine. Price - New member so the 3 tasting were free + generous tip. Normally $20 a tasting (5 wines). Wine club members (7 wines), that can be waived with a 2 bottle purchase. We started our Memorial Day weekend this year at Dante Robere vineyard in Livermore. I was thoroughly impressed by how wonderful the place was. The tasting room is lovely, with a very pretty outdoor seating area fitted with tables, chairs, and service at the table. You get to pick your tastings from a choice of a few wine flights, with about 5 tastings in each flight. The service is very well done, the server is knowledgeable and they bring the wine out to you in literally perfect timing. The owner Ravii was also there, though kept himself very discreetly in the background, yet making himself available and making sure the guests were well taken care of. One of my best wine tasting experiences ever. I would highly recommend visiting this place with friends, you will certainly be impressed with the quality of the wines, as well as the service and the overall ambiance. read more

This winery is such a gem! The location is perfect, close to my favorite biking/hiking spot, Sycamore Grove. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, Gina is awesome and the wine is absolutely delicious. The new owner, Ravii, is especially kind and really makes you feel at home. We stopped by for a tasting on a Sunday afternoon without a reservation and were able to be seated right away. We sat outside in the patio and it was the perfect weather with the shade and breeze. They offer 2 different tastings, both with 5 different wines and priced at $20. A tasting can be waived with the purchase of 2 bottles. Our favorite was the petite sirah and the staff allowed us an extra taste of our choice at the end. We did wish the staff would explain more about the wines we were tasting (there was no explanations at all and we had to read the menu to learn more) but otherwise we had a relaxing and enjoyable experience at Dante Robere. read more

Little smaller of a winery but super chill and relaxed. The wine was actually really good and Jack was amazing and brought around the table 2 bottles each time he came to us and we got to pick which one we preferred which is honestly the best way to do it and it was great. We drove past this winery and it looked good so we decided to go in. It was the 2 of us, a kid and a dog. They did not need reservations and we walked into a beautiful open room with bar seating in the middle, tables to the side and room as well, filled with wine, that you could do the tasting in. There is outside seating too, a picnic table under a tree and tables on the patio. They welcomed us with open arms, even with the dog. They had to seat us at the table since we had a kid with us but it was fine. They offered the kid a Caprisun and goldfish which was eagerly. The best part if the experience, besides the wine, was their warm welcome for the dog. She is a 6 lb, 16 yr old who probably has dementia and she just walks around all the time. They let her walk her heart out the whole time we were there and watched out for her to make sure she did not go out etc. They only had a mixed tasting but it was fine. The reds are much better than the whites and the pours were tiny as well. They let us sit and take our time. We didn't buy anything because nothing stood out but a great experience and the tasting was reasonably priced. read more

The hostess was effective in turning off my entire party. When we told her we were Deaf, she put her forefingers to the corners if her eyes and spread them out, slowly enunciating "do...you...read?" That was offensive on several levels. Yet, she had no clue how far up she had put her foot in her mouth. Inexcusable. We (a group of 5 with 9 college degrees between us) were shocked but sat down anyway. Left after seeing only 2 white wines on the menu. Glad we left. Do not recommend. read more

Place looked cute and the website looked promising for options, as it lists three white wines for sale and then reds. My group of friends were interested in this because two wanted all whites, one a mix and then the rest of us reds. When we arrived, parking was easy and you could see it was a small space with a patio. Once we established that we wanted to do a tasting at the entrance, we were asked if we could read. As professional Deaf adults, this was a shocking question to be asked and it left us reeling. Once we sat down, it was clear that there were two wine tasting options available, as non members of the winery. In one of the options, there was only a Pinot Grigio listed and when we inquired about more whites, it was communicated that it was the only one available. We then made the decision to leave because the options were limited and would not meet everyone's interests. While we appreciated that information was written out for us, the approach left a sour taste in our mouths. We still kept talking about it into the night at a restaurant because it was a first time being asked that. read more

We dropped by here Sunday around 4:30ish so we had to drink fast before they closed at 5. They were nice to still accommodate us even though we were running 30 mins late due to the other winery taking longer to finish our tastings. We saw another being accommodated too but they were members. $20 tasting fee of 5 wines. It was towards the end of the day so the lady could only pour what they still had opened. Wines were pretty good. Fruity and bold. Tasting fee is waived with 1 bottle purchase. Will need to come back when we aren't so pressed for time to fully enjoy. read more

The hostess was great as we walked in, leading us to have high hopes for the rest of our experience. Our server, however, was rude and abrupt. Though my friend and I might look young, the way she asked for our ID's was very demanding. The glass she handed me had lipstick stains on the rim, she spilled water on our table and menu. When I asked for a recommendation on which experience to choose since I am new to wine, she was nonetheless the most unhelpful. She did not give any recommendations and had a very rude demeanor. Through it the experience, her background explanations with the wines were not engaging, were quick, and it seemed like she just wanted to get it over with. My friend and I were just catching up, we came around 3:30 and lost track of time. The wine experience was supposed to have 5 glasses and we were on the fourth when our server came up to us again and just took our glasses away saying they were closing. It would have been nice to revive a courtesy that the winery was closing so we could have gotten our moneys worth of wine. The table beside us still had their glasses and were allowed to finish their experience (they had a different server) while my experience was cut short, without our last class and not even so much a thank you for visiting. It was my first time here but I enjoyed the wines I tried. We had a group of 7 and we had a nice long table outside. It was a beautiful day for outdoors. We were able to be seated at 3pm instead of at 3:30pm which was our reservation slot so that was nice. I wish the tasting here was a little more educational, with information on the wine + what it would pair well with and some history would have been fun. It was just pour, pour, pour. There wasn't a wine that stood out to me here but I would def come back and try some other wines in hopes to fine the one. read more

If I had an option of giving - stars, I would have. We had two young visitors from England and we took them out to give a typical Livermore wine tasting experience. After a fantastic start at Darcie Kent Estate winery, we arrived at Dante Robere after reading great reviews. We were in for a rude shock as were greeted (or should I say confronted) by a very rude hostess. We were party of 7, including a kid and 2 non drinkers. The hostess kept repeating rudely that if we are only ordering 4 tastings, we will have to buy a bottle each for 3 non drinkers as we will be occupying the table. This was related to us 3-4 times in first 5 minutes. Extremely rude and unwelcoming behavior. Thank God, we decided to leave and go to another winery down the street and had a great experience! Got a table in their lovely patio. - 20$ wine tastings. 2 flight options. But it seems you can easily choose wines from either flights as long as you get a total of 5. This is my first time wine tasting in Livermore and I think we had chosen the prefect one to start with. We came here around noon and it was pretty relaxing, there were more people coming towards the afternoon. We sat outdoors, and we selected the Dante flight and our server was nice enough to switch a few things around for us. I really enjoy their 2019 Sauvignon blanc, 2019 AM's melange and their petite sirah and of course got those bottles. They have cheese and and salami options inside that you can purchase and they will bring a board and a knife for you to set up. They also stated that you can bring outside food if you prefer. Reserved a private tasting along w two cheeseboards after hearing great comments from friends. Dan one of the owners who greeted us and was extremely generous in his time with us. We really appreciated his humor and history of the winery. For the tasting we were able to taste the gamut of their wines and specials. Highly recommend the cheeseboards while tasting with the variety of cheeses, crackers and fruits. Left w several bottles from the group and we will most certainly return in the future! My wife and I came here as part of our Livermore Wine passport. We arrived to find that the winery had it's own restrictions on it's use. When I asked at the host station about this, I was told that it was on their website and my pass would not be honored. I'm not going to comment on the wine as wine tasting is subjective and I had a poor mood as a result of the passport use topic, so I think my palate was off. We asked to pay for our tastings which prompted the manager(?) of the winery to be summoned to my table. I received a nice lecture about the passport system and how he doesn't like it and why the winery restricts use of it (why is the winery a supporting member then?). We also had a dialog of how it's not called out on their website that the LVWGA passport is only valid on Fridays. One way or another, the manager opted to honor our passport and we were allowed to leave without paying for our tastings. read more

We recently had my husbands surprise 50th birthday celebration here and it was a magical experience. Ravi made a special effort to help us with all the logistics and was kind and accommodating as our group size kept increasing! The wines were amazing, and we took home several to continue enjoying for months to come. We really appreciated being able to bring our own snacks and birthday cake. All the guests mentioned they had no idea you could have such an authentic and enjoyable winery experience in Livermore. No need to drive all the way to Napa anymore! read more

If you purchase a bottle, the tasting fee is waived. There was a bottle I liked and end up buying a bottle. On average their bottles are in $30-40 range. I've been to Dante Robere many times before, but the last time I visited with a group of friends wasn't as great compared to my previous visits. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. After choosing between the Dante and the Robere tastings, our group put our order in with the hostess who ended up forgetting how many of each our group ordered. She would come out with more wines from one tasting and less of the other, or she would forget which tasting we were on and bring out the same wines again. I'm sure it is just the new process with COVID, so I don't blame her, but this made our experience less enjoyable because of the constant confusion. Overall, some of the wines were good but not particularly outstanding. We were able to bring in our own food, so we had an amazing time just eating, drinking, and laughing. Towards the end of our tasting, we were hastily rushed to check out and were told several times that we had to leave soon. I'm not one to take up too much time on a reservation, but the constant nagging was a bit too much. One thing that was lacking from this experience was the description of each of the wines. Personally, I enjoy learning about what's in the wines (grape varietals, etc.), special notes, etc. Our hostess either didn't know anything about the wines she poured or just didn't seem to care. read more

In summary, the pouring amount is extremely little, probably a 2 oz per glass, uses the same glass for 5 pours (even switching from white to red), and the horrible quality of service. If you don't care about the quality of service, Dante Robere would be worthy of your time and money with your own glasses. First, our server gave us a corner table with a lot of sunlight on the day with 93 degrees heat and told us NOT to tilt the patio umbrella when we tried to tilt it to avoid sunburn. Thankfully, Dan came over and tilted the umbrella himself later and told us to freely adjust it on our own. Because of the heat, we had an empty water jar from the first pour of wine and were never offered more water till we asked before we left. I also emailed the winery ahead regarding any small bites available and received a response: "We do have cheese, crackers, salami, jam, chocolate, etc to sell to make your own snack" from Dan. Yet, when I asked where I can purchase these from the server as small bites were not on the menu, she said "you need to bring your own. Is this your first time?" Then, she poured red wine into the same glass that we tried white wine without asking and completely ignored our request to swap out the glass before pouring red wine. Lastly, when my friend was going to the restroom, she poured his glass and told me to explain the glass to him when he comes back. Quite frankly, she was extremely nice to other tables with older, Caucasian groups of people - smiling, checking on the taste of wine, refilling water, and consistently asking if they are ready for the next round of pours. Aside from the server, the atmosphere is cozy, the owner/manager Dan is nice and responsive, and the wine, especially the Syrah, tastes great. BUT, it was the worst vineyard experience and service in my life. It is your choice to choose Dante Robere or not but I would personally never ever go back again. read more

This was my first time visiting Livermore wineries and was pleasantly surprised with the wines but felt like the experience was very rushed/impersonable. Usually when it's my first time somewhere, the staff is more attentive. We were really only seen when it was our time to be served the next tasting with the tasting notes, but we were not asked if we wanted to revisit anything to buy a bottle, which I'd say is pretty custom. We purchased a bottle anyway since we really liked it. I'd recommend for the wines but please do not expect to be blown away by the customer service, especially if you're Black/Brown. Went in on a whim, 10 mins before closing, with intent to buy a bottle. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating. No hesitation to pour me a couple quick tastes to help me with my selection. They told me they were dog friendly and invited my husband and golden retriever in - and then gave my toddler a juice box. And the wines were a great hit. Got the buy 2, get 1 for $1 cab and the Carignan. Will gladly visit again for a tasting and broader experience. read more

Our group had a wonderful experience visiting Dante Robere for the first time last weekend. My dad is a wheelchair user and the staff was extremely accommodating. The wine is fabulous! Wonderful bold reds at a great price point. Everyone was very knowledgeable and kind. Gina (I think that was her name, so sorry) was wonderful. We appreciated them making us feel at home. I have not reviewed this winery since 2017 (when I gave them 5 stars) and I am happy to note they are still 5 stars. The patio is absolutely lovely- a wonderful place to sit and sip even in the heat. And the wines are fabulous. I especially enjoyed the sauv blanc- we bought a bottle and loved it! The servers are friendly and remarkably fast with service- always checking in with guests. And of course, what a great location- just across from Sycamore Grove park. Watch the marked entrances on the driveway! I did not find that intuitive- it's clearly marked but ONE WAY- so if you are coming from Arroyo, go in the second driveway NOT the first (which is the exit). read more

Don't go late afternoon on Sunday. Imposed on staff by coming at 4, an hour before closing. Was repeatedly told they close in an hour, were low on wine, wouldn't open any more as they don't open again until Friday. There was no greeting, just stress. Mostly given "choice" of ordering a full bottle as that was what they had. Heard the table next to us, who were members, complain about how stressed everyone seemed. If it's inconvenient for people to come before closing, I would suggest reservations or a no new customers after 4 policy. read more

My favorite winery in Livermore! If you like syrahs and reds like I do you'll like their wines, which are mostly blended reds with syrah and petite syrahs as a base. You can pick between the two types of tasting flights as you go down each row, so you aren't locked into a single flight menu. The $20 tasting fee is waived if you buy a bottle of wine at the end. My two favorites were the Dante's Inferno and the Two Cellar Rats. They have a nice outdoor patio that allows kids and dogs in addition to the indoor tasting room. Everyone was so accommodating to allow me to come in just about 20 minutes before close on the Saturday before Valentine's Day... all without a reservation! Hubby and I went for a hike with the dog across the street at Sycamore Grove Park. We were driving out of the parking lot planning to navigate home when we noticed Dante Robere right across the street! We decided to just drive straight and maybe buy a bottle of wine to take home. We parked and were warmly greeted outside. They showed us their outdoor seating which is very cute and allows for social distancing. They also explained how they're doing wine tasting now with COVID. In order to have as little contact as possible, servers bring out little carafes of the wine on a tray one at a time. You take the carafe and pour the wine yourself into your glasses. All servers wore masks and I got the feeling that they take pandemic safety seriously, so I appreciated that. One tasting is $15, and you can share. We ended up taking home a bottle of the Grenache that we tasted! They waive the tasting fee if you buy a bottle. Can't wait for post-pandemic life so we can enjoy Dante Robere to its full potential! We had a nice time here but arrived late, almost closing time so our service appeared a little rushed. We hadn't had a reservation but we were lucky enough to get one of the last tables available (all outside at the time because of covid and it was hot as hell). The only bummer was it was super hot outside and the shade was limited. One of the tables was between the rows of grape vines which was kind of cool. Other than that, it wasn't a very scenic venue. The wines were decent. The staff was friendly but appeared to be more focused on closing up for the day than telling us anything about the wines. I did end up buying a candle made out of a wine bottle which was pretty awesome on our way out and the scent was really good too.
