The store is filled with every variety of wine you could think of. Just chat with whoever is at the desk and they'll help you find whatever you need. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Head upstairs for the wine bar. It's always a great time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Taste flights of white or red and explore wines from all over the world. They also sell wine by the glass if you prefer that. The wine list is always changing which we love. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is bar seating and tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Go check them out.

I continue to enjoy the wine clubs, wine selection, and live-tasting events put on by The Wine Steward. If you're in the area, it's worth a stop in.

The scene: You walk along a relatively quiet downtown street in an idyllic small town, where are you run into this building that houses a purveyor of fine foods and wines. As you walk in, you are greeted with the smells of various items you can use on a charcuterie board, as well as some of the friendliest folks that you have ever come across. I seriously felt like I was in some sort of movie or something. I didn't spend too much time in there, but you had a variety of delicious looking cheeses and cured meats. Along with an assortment of different types of baked goods. It's a pretty big space, and the food only takes a small piece of it. The rest of the store is filled with different wines from different countries. Oh also, there is the stair case to the second floor towards the back... There's a space upstairs where you will start being able to buy flights of wines and/or have a beer on tap. Is a very cool looking bar area and possible event space. Would love to stop by for a beer the next time I'm back in the area. But definitely a cool shop. It's hard to find places like these days.

Quality/Quantity - Good, huge selection. Flights only on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; we were a day too early. Cheese and meat platters available. No corkage fee for $25+ bottles purchased downstairs to be enjoyed upstairs; this would have been a better choice for us as we spent much much more than that on 4 glasses of wine. Actually our first glass was $20 each... Atmosphere - Relaxing, as I guess we were the only day drinkers in this area, LOL. Had the whole place to ourselves; except the vendors that kept coming in to sell more wine to the manager/owner. Huge place. Upstairs bar, downstairs retail space. Bar, table, and lounge seating. I think they had outside seating during the pandemic...? It is gone now. Open 7 days a week, see specific hours via Yelp or website. Street parking. Service - Good. Especially since the bar is closed on Wednesdays. Maybe this would explain why we were the only customers, LOL. Price - Expensive, but expected. Next time we will buy a few $25+ bottle wines to drink upstairs. Owner Comment - Congrats to Jim and Cathy on your success since 1999.

Service was exceptional. This was our first time and we can honestly say it won't be our last time. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a warm welcome smile. We were free to walk around and just look at all their goodies, cheeses, condiments, glasses, and of course wine. The set up is on point, so much to see and very inviting. After our lunch engagement we came back and had made ourselves at home. We took home some great cheese and wine to enjoy later. We will be back!!!

Fantastic wine store with varieties from all over the world. Plenty of accessories, cheeses and food. Upstairs has a tasting bar. The staff is very knowledgeable. I would go here to learn about wine and get different wine from other parts of the world that most stores don't carry.

Don't fret during the shelter in place( SIP). The Wine Steward has your back. I emailed them today with a list of my next 6 dinners that I will be cooking at home and Jim the owner paired my wine order accordingly to my dishes. He has an incredible pairing skill - hits the mark nearly 100 % of the time. I got a case with 12 different wines. Ordering and pick up was effortless and they will deliver in town as well. This will help ease the shelter in place knowing that my cooking will be complimented with an appropriate wine that makes my cooking taste better ! Ha! #YELPNightDineIn

I just love The Wine Steward. It is a perfect place to relax and grab a nice glass of vino. Jim is great, love talking to Jim. The place itself is chalked full of wines galore mixed with Italian-ish influenced & other speciality grocery items, mostly to to compliment your vino selections. The Wine Steward puts on great events throughout the year, wines from around the globe, great walk around parties with a charcuterie type & goodie table to compliment the tastings. Great place to grab a wine out on a date or after work.

Booked through OpenTable and it was super easy - even pushed the reservation back 30 minutes online…read morewhen my friends were running late. Love that kind of convenience! It's located in the heart of downtown, so street parking is hit or miss. I lucked out with a spot right across the street. Note: they seat you once your whole party arrives, so plan accordingly if your girls run fashionably late like mine. The dining room is dim with spotlights - moody and cozy, but not ideal lighting for pics. They have an extensive martini list AND a mocktini list! I went with the Blood Orange Mocktini, rainbow sugar rim, orange garnish, super refreshing. So yums! I was on a mission for classic melted cheese, so I ordered the Italian Fontina fondue, which they make right at your table. Fontina and Romano with garlic, basil pesto, and marinara - all my favorite things in one pot! It comes with bread, fruit, and veggies for dipping. My friends went hot pot style with the Roasted Garlic broth (chicken, cajun shrimp, and spicy sausage). The broth isn't something I'd sip as soup, but everything marinating in there? Super yums. They bring all their house-made sauces to try - my favorites were the spicy BBQ and teriyaki! For dessert: Campfire Chocolate. Milk chocolate, marshmallow cream, and graham cracker crumbs with pound cake, brownies, cookie dough, funnel cake fries, and more for dipping. The reviews said come here for the chocolate fondue, and they were RIGHT. Even totally full, I'm so glad I ordered it. A sweet tooth's dream! Service was awesome - busy night, but we never felt rushed. Perfect spot to catch up with friends. Price-wise, it's a "treat yourself" or special occasion place, and I'd come back and order the exact same thing.

The loaded whiskey cheddar and smoked gouda is my go-to and never disappoints. And most importantly, never skip the chocolate fondue and martinis.

Glasshouzz was on the way and I've always wanted to try it since seeing it on Yelp. We're really glad we did. First off, it's located in a plaza NEXT TO the Livermore outlets. From the map view, we almost thought it was in the outlets. We were pleasantly surprised to discover this whole plaza even existed! There are so many good-looking restaurants here! So many options to try for next time. We visited on a weeknight during off-peak hours, so there wasn't any wait at all. The decor inside is modern and elegant, and the servers were incredibly friendly. We accidentally missed the front entrance so actually walked toward what we thought was the front door, which was actually the back door, but the staff still kindly opened that back entrance for us and got us situated right away. The menu had a really solid selection: - Tac Tac Tacos: the Mrs. Ordered these. Tender flavorful succulent chicken with a hint of spice, served in fluffy bao-style clamshell buns. Nice fusion touch! The buns tasted fresh and soft, almost melt-in-your-mouth compared the versions I've had at Chinese restaurants. Makes me think they make these fresh in-house. - Applewood Smoked Salmon: I ordered these for myself. They came from the "protein-packed" section on the menu. Can you believe they have it? It was perfect and summer diet compliant for me. All meals from the protein pack section come with vegetables, and mashed potatoes. They also had a chicken breast and lamb option. After eating chicken breast all week, I decided to switch it up for the salmon, which was cooked perfectly. I'm talking soft and flaky. You could really taste the applewood smoked flavor. The mashed potatoes were smooth and really melted in your mouth. TBH , I had to hold myself back from finishing them. - Mac n' Cheese: For The Little One. Because she won't eat anything else -_-. It came from their section kids meals, but was quite delicious, even by adult standards. The Mrs. and I made sure to sample some. The serving size was great. Overall, a great dinner stop with the relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, delicious food. There's quite a variety ranging from comfort food to protein forward healthier options.

Glasshouzz is a modern, casual restaurant with a super creative menu of Indian-Italian fusion…read moredishes. What an interesting combination! We started with the Quinoa Chaat, a salad made of quinoa mixed with chopped lettuce/tomato/onion, topped with a drizzle of spicy mayo and served with blue corn and quinoa tortilla chips. The salad wasn't as flavorful as I expected given that it was called a "chaat" but was a decent starter nonetheless. The most creative item we ordered was their Indian pizza, which we split half and half in two different topping combinations. On one side, the Lexitini was made with flavorful tandoori chicken and creamy cashew makhni sauce; and on the other side, the Melted Paneer came with marinated paneer cubes and spicy tomato sauce. Both sides were also topped with bell peppers, onions, and (in my opinion, too much) mozzarella cheese. The crust was soft on the top and crispy on the bottom--this was definitely more of an American-style than Italian-style pizza with its focus on a generous amount of flavorful toppings. Interestingly, the dishes I thought this restaurant did best was their boring-sounding "Protein Pack Meals." The Grilled Juicy Chicken Breast was exactly that--a plain chicken breast that was perfectly grilled and juicy; and the Applewood Smoked Salmon was a perfectly moist, grilled fillet of salmon. Both of these were served with mashed potatoes, broccoli, carrots, asparagus, and a pesto cream sauce--two well-executed dishes made with quality ingredients! Overall, this was a decent restaurant with a creative name offering tasty, innovative dishes that came at a fair value.
