We had their seafood sample platter as an appetizer which had shrimp, oysters on the half shell, and chips and ceviche. We ate lunch here yesterday- they had covered tables which was great. The server was great, and we swam while we waited for our food. Portions were big- I had the chicken tenders, the bbq sauce and honey mustard were 10/10. Really cool place, enjoyed eating here. Only five chairs." What made this more preferentially noticeable was that the table right next to us had six chairs. When we pointed this out, she said she could do nothing about that and still removed the chair from our table. The interaction felt dismissive and unfair. When we brought the situation to the manager's attention, he was nonchalant and passive, which only added to Made us feel more unwelcome. So we chose to spend our money elsewhere. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this place, particularly for patrons of color. Service was horrible. The brown-haired server with an accent had a terrible attitude. She would disappear for long periods of time. We saw our drinks sitting at the bar for 30 minutes before she brought them over. Once we got our food, she didn't bother to check on us. Our group was shuffled from table to table and finally were pushed to a small picnic table at the back of the bar in the shade. The service was disappointing, crabby and unfriendly at best. Ok, so this place is every stereotype you and I have of Key West and yet... it works? The drinks come in plastic cups, service is slow (I recommend going up to the bar rather than waiting for servers to come around the pool), and the food is mediocre at best. But it's really damn fun. The pool is kept at a perfect temperature, the crowd is fun, and the drinks aren't actually bad as far as frozen sugary drinks go. I didn't know if I'd like it after reading reviews, but we ended up visiting twice during our trip. Not many better ways to spend a sunny day in Key West. read more

We had a chartered fishing trip then came here as soon as we finished for them to cook some of our catch. They fried and blackened eight pieces of our fish. It was delicious! I wasn't a huge fan of the mixed drink, Caribbean Sea, it honestly tasted like cough syrup. If you're a party person, this place is for you. If, like us, we'd rather eat without all that hullabaloo, you may want to skip it. I wish we could give a better review, but we were kicked out yesterday before we even had a chance to order anything. As we were traveling back to Naples on the Express, we had luggage with us. Hugh, the security guard, approached us extremely aggressively and informed us he needed to "check" our bags. My first thought was, "Really, you want to see my dirty panties?" Well, we had a bottle of vodka in one of the bags that we were bringing back home. We had NO intention of consuming it on the property. Tried to explain this and he only became more agitated. My partner is a bartender and has worked in the industry for over 30 years. We aren't new to etiquette. Hugh went on to deny us to speak to the manager because he didn't want to walk to the other side of the pool again and when we offered to take the walk ourselves, he threatened to physically remove us from the establishment. Long story short, we walked over to the Boat House where we were greeted kindly and shown a place we could leave our suitcases while we dined. I will be back to KW several times in the next few months and absolutely will NOT be visiting Dante's. read more

So we brought it all over to Dante's for a little cook your catch this past Sunday thinking it was a good idea.. ordered the blackened and off our fish went. EVERY single piece of fish had at minimum 3 scales on it. I've never in my life had experienced anything like this. Pool was large and clean. Service was excellent and the menu was typical bar/pool food. I had expected to pay something to use the services of the pool but they only ask that you consume their food and beverage while there. The food was more than reasonably priced and good. The burger they serve is 10oz. I saw many chicken wings served that looked tasty. My wife had a club salad and asked for romance lettuce and they accommodated her. I had the club with fries. The club was good but I like skinny fries and there were more of the fat version. Still good Drinks were reasonable and out bar and lunch tab was the cheapest of the week and had use of the pool to boot. It did get busier through the day. Extremely poor service. The internet went down while we were dining and the server took our card and forced us to sit and wait in 100 degree august heat while she swiped our card over and over and over. This was over 30 minutes of them swiping our card. Wouldn't give it back until we agreed to use the ATM to pay, after they already took photos of the front and back of our card to "charge us later" after I said, "would you let a stranger take pics of your debit card?" We then used the ATM, after they said they would take $4 for the ATM fee since the internet issue is their problem and then they refused to do that too, because the server said she would be taking a "loss" even though the manger agreed to take the $4 fee off. I'm not trying to get a free meal or free shit, but after sitting for over 30 minutes while our debit card was held hostage and swiped 100 times, no comp, no discount, no apology, etc, and the server was extremely rude when we left and didn't tip since we didn't have enough cash on hand. Overall terrible experience. Horrible rude management. Check ur bank statement to ensure your card hasn't been repeatedly charged and make sure to ask if their internet is up. Edit to add: as a company if you are really taking the $$ out of a server's pocket, that is bullshit. As management, an issue like this should be comped to protect your employees. I never eat out without leaving a generous tip, especially when people are trying to survive somewhere as expensive as key west so it's really shocking to see a $4 tech caused issue will be charged to an employee. I hope management thinks twice before penalizing working class servers for tech issues. read more

Our waitress was sweet and attentive. We ordered mozzarella sticks that came with massive fries too- pretty good for the price. The oyster price was pretty fair and fresh. We ordered shots, two drinks, and a key lime pie drink. Most were good but the drinks weren't super strong by any means. The pool area was cool but could use a few more TVS for sports. The bathrooms they give you access to are so outdated and gross. Great for the vibes and the service but drinks are a bit watered down. read more

Amazing food! We ate here twice during our time in Key West. The seafood is fresh- you can't go wrong with anything. The shrimp came with way more than we expected. You have to put a day trip to Dante's in your plans for Key West! It's a day club with a large pool that a lot of vacationers like to frequent. They serve food and booze and it's free to get in! Tunes are cranking through the outdoor speakers and it's a really fun time. Their go to drink is the bucket of booze for about $18. The service is really good too, don't have to wait too long for food or drinks to be brought. It's the only place like it on the island and one of my favorite places to visit when in town.
