Thanks to the Instagram account I cannot remember, I get to try out this dairy in the middle of nowhere in Laveen. Conveniently located near the 202, I had no choice (lolll!!!) but to make a stop on the way home after a long tough day at work. It was only Monday, so I wanted something sweet to heal my heart, mind, and soul. Love the accommodations (I asked for my shake half dine-in, half to-go) and the staff members were so patient with me when I was deciding what to get. Not looking forward to the next rough work day, but would love to come back soon for some sweet pick-me-up!!

Been here a few times for shakes and to exchange my glasses for milk. Such a great place. I love that I know where my milk is coming from and how it's local.

First the I went to the dairy store, I was given a crate to carry all my bottles in. I bring it back with my empty bottles every trip

Over the years we've used various Danzeisen items.. usually the specialty milks. But we stopped drinking milk and switched to heavy cream over 2 years ago. On a quest to find cleaner minimal ingredient heavy cream for our fatty coffee and cooking needs, I rediscovered Danzeisen again. But usually the local stores would be out of stock or the expiration date is a day or two out. Enter my first trip to the dairy store to get heavy cream about 2 months ago. Everybody inside the store is super friendly and helpful. My HC is almost always in stock. But I still call ahead before making the drive. And I can get a free cup of coffee from the little coffee bar with milk and creamer in the fridge next to it! If we used HC infrequently, I'd just purchase Danzeisen from the grocery store. But I buy, at minimum, 6 pints each trip, depending on the expiration date. And a pint of HC from the dairy store is $4.99 (plus bottle deposit). The savings per bottle alone is worth the 25 minute drive each way for me every few weeks. :D

Love this local ice cream stop! Simple space with indoor seating. Great staff. Love all the local items for purchase! You can't go wrong with anything you order!

Chocolate, strawberry and coffee milk. Cute bottles.

Can only say this place is amazing. They serve ice cream they make in house, sell glass bottles of fresh milk and you can ask for samples. We bought small bottles of chocolate and strawberry milk to try and also a quart size bottle of coffee milk. Amazing stuff! We ordered 2 scoops of strawberry ice cream on a cake cone, big servings, it's worth the $7.95 a waffle cone will add $1. Cute inside with an old milk truck and a play area for the kiddos. Ladies at the counter work very efficiently together and was getting orders out quickly. Love this, I'll be back.

It's so nice to find a place that still has that hometown community feel. Great milkshakes and root beer floats. Nice seating area with a full sized milk truck you can sit in and even several baskets of toys in the corner and a coloring station.

Went to Danzeisen Dairy to learn how to make butter. It was so fun. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the store was clean inviting. During the class I made garlic herb butter. Afterwards, I bought a jug of strawberry milk and chocolate milk (my kiddos loved them both!). We also had a chocolate shake which hit the spot on my long drive home! Highly recommend making the drive to Laveen to check out this place!

Danzeisen Dairy has been serving the community for decades -- and in the past years they've continued to add new items to their menu. I stopped by for a quick little treat and had an ice cream cone. I tried both the chocolate and the strawberry and both were delicious and fresh. Danzeisen offers quality products you can trust!

A must-go for Phoenix and the west valley. Great ice cream from a multi-generational family dairy farm. It's cool to see the old milk truck inside and read about their history. They also have a creative milkshake menu and also sell different flavors of milk and juice by the gallon. And it's all local, the dairy farm itself is down by Maricopa.

S'more Stack and Pumpkin Spice Stack

Oh my gosh! This place is amazing! My husband and I each got a "stack", which is a shake topped with a bunch of amazing treats. The pumpkin spice stack was topped with two pumpkin donuts AND a fresh, hot mini pumpkin waffle. The shakes tasted so fresh and were the perfect consistency. They are more milk-forward, but that's how I want my shake to be. It didn't taste like fake, overpowering flavorings. Each stack was 10.99, which was reasonable considering we also got a sidecar each filled with MORE shake! The service was fast and friendly. The shop itself isn't huge but even on a Saturday afternoon there was a spot for us to sit and enjoy our shakes in the store. I would absolutely come back to try more flavors or even just get some ice cream.

This place is so cool. Really nice open space with walk up ordering service and then tons of milk fridges with probably 15 varieties! The cost is pretty good if you consider the bottle refund policy. While you're there get a scoop, a malt, or this crazy shake my husband got. Right off the highway and a quick stop. Only wish they'd had a cow on site that we could see, just for fun.

Poor quality photo of some high quality products!

Ive seen Danzeisen in the markets but never went to the dairy in person so I figured I'd give it a shot. The parking lot was packed around 4:30 when I went so that had to be a good sign right? Upon walking in it was clear they are renovating the front but I was taken back by the wide selection and how fast the lines were moving. Service was exceptional and I was fortunate enough to be helped by Manuela who helped me at the register. She was friendly and clearly took pride in her job as she was greeting everyone with a smile. I'll definitely be coming back here in the future as it was worth the 30 min drive from Uptown Phoenix.

Leticia R.

So many desserts! All made fresh. So hard to choose what to get! They sell all kinds of flavored milks, juices, and The stack shakes can be shared by 2. So delicious! Small seating area but we were still able to sit. Friendly service.

Yes.

Hi. just tried the chocolate milk today, I sense a taste of coffee or is that the pure coco coming out?

This place is a dump. I recommend you stay anywhere else. We booked 2 nights and left the 1st night because it is like browsing the Good Will store. We ended up at Sheraton.

Wanting to try another of their restaurants before the ungodly heat arrived, we decided to stop in for lunch. Parking: can be a bit nerve wracking, especially parking in the dirt lots east of the place. You have to walk across 32nd St & if you know Phoenix drivers, this can be dangerous. There is a pedestrian light now, though, so that helps -- but oddly enough, there's no "walk" signage. It's merely a blinking yellow light for north- sound-bound traffic so you have to pray to the universe drivers are paying attention & actually stop for you. Ordering: a bit odd. The main door we went in was more the middle door that didn't really take you to the beginning. There's a drink station then the food station. We skedaddled to the right of the main doors for the drink order, only to discover there's another door that people walk through to place orders. So we joggled w/ another customer trying to figure out who was there first. It honestly felt like a school cafeteria, a bit chaotic, as well as cramped. The patio was pretty large & well shaded, but it was also full -- and this particular day also the ONLY SHADE. We were left to sit at one of their many tables on the grounds with no shade. Food: not worth the $77 we paid. I get it's a working farm, & though we try to support local as much as possible, the food we ordered was not good enough that we will stop by again. The strawberry fields salad was a typical salad, no wow factor there. The Italian sammy was dry. There was a minuscule amount of some kind of dressing on it, but def not enough. Dessert: red velvet whoopie pie was so overpriced it's not funny. If it tasted great, I wouldn't complain...it did not taste great. The pecan pie was abysmal; not enough filling and very bland. Two "specialty" drinks, a salad, a sandwich, & two small desserts, for $77? No, sorry, not again.

You just have to keep your eyes open…read more I stumbled on this wonderful little patch of heaven while I was on the "Arcadia 9th Edible Garden Tour." It was one of the scheduled stops on the garden map. I had no idea what a treat we were in for as we pulled up to what appeared to be an ordinary one-story quiet neighborhood house. Getting out of the car we realized that this was no ordinary front yard. Yes, it had a small wooden rail fence around it. But behind that fence there was no traditional landscaping, no hedges, no grass, no manicured flower beds. There were rows of beans and corn and tomatoes and peppers! As we walked through the carport to the back, we entered a delightful sun room filled with baskets of fresh produce - all freshly picked and, of course, for sale. (Yep, I bought a few small fresh green items to supplement my salad already in the refrigerator at home.) The back yard was more of a delight than the front. Raised beds. Veggies and flowers. And, yes, there was some grass . . . . but most of all it was a miniature oasis of a farm from my childhood. There were chickens and goats, who all seemed somewhat nonchalant about city dwellers stumbling through their little bit of heaven. My Farmyard is a delightful example of what you can do to "grow locally. produce organically. [&] eat well." One of the services they will help you with is planning your own raised bed garden in your yard. They will help you create a "Planting Plan." Oh, I didn't tell you the best part.
