    Bountiful Laundry Basket
    Ron C.

Leave your dirty laundry at home and just bring your basket........ you won't be disappointed. You get great value, super convenient (for us at least), and good quality. I used this service for the first time this weekend. The service has pickup locations all over the valley. We are lucky enough to have one less than 5 minutes away. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. We left with a laundry basket full of Fruits, veggies, and Bread (see attached picture). For those who want details. We went conventional, since our location did not have Organic option: 2 tomato's, 13 gala apples, 5 Asian pears, 1 pineapple, 1 large celery stock, 1 pound strawberries, 11 bananas, 1 broccoli stock, 1 bundle green onions, 1 cantaloupe, 1 large green leafy lettuce, 1 English cucumber, 5 Pound bag of potato's. We had 1 order sourdough bread (which is 4 loaves), which is a extra cost. All for the cost of $25 ($15 for the fruit and veggies and $10 for bread). Note there is a small card processing fee and a $3 first timer charge. I compared this (yes I had some time to kill this AM) to http://www.Safeway.com and you would pay $49. Granted, like us you probably would buy veggies and fruits on sale rather than full price so this is kinda misleading. This is only for comparison. I would compare the quality of products as the same as your grocery stores, although the bread we received was much better than any grocery "artisan" selection. The selection gives us a variety, you tend to pick the same stuff up every week at your normal store. I hope they will have Organic option at our pick up location soon. I would like to thank Yelp for introducing me to this as Amanda B mentioned in her review, would of never found this without the help of Yelp!!!!

I have been purchasing Bountiful Baskets for a little over two years now. I participate every other week, that's plenty for me. I have found that the summer baskets are very full and the winter time is a bit less but still good. As for quality, it just depends on the item and season. Berries tend to go bad fast, just like they do in the grocery store. The bad items are minimal. I volunteer most every time and leave with a few extra items and a good feeling. Over all I feel its a great value and I enjoy the surprise of trying new items that lead to new recipes. Recently received two delicious Casaba melons, a fruit I have never tried and most likely would have never purchased at a grocery store.

While researching to see if this was going to be worth it, I didn't see any recent reviews. If you're like me, you don't care about the politics of the company that most of these reviews list- just if it's going to be worth your $20 to get your "surprise order". The closest location to me (buckeye) was about an hour away. So we purchased 2 baskets because I didn't want to drive that far at 6am for $20. Overall, the volunteers were friendly, the pick up process was extremely simple (in and out in about 2mins), the quality of the produce seems great and it's almost all stuff we will use. However, I definitely don't think we saved any money or got great "bang for our buck". From what I thought I remembered of bountiful baskets- it was about 60lbs of produce for $10 (back in the day!) this was about $18-20 worth of produce, for $20. We could have easily just gone to the grocery store or the farmers market and gotten the same amount or more for less $, without the stuff we won't eat. The photos are what was in 1 basket. Good variety of fruit/veggies.. but probably not worth the hour drive bright and early Saturday morning.

    Awesome basket this week!

I've been using this company on an off for a couple years. Even though there's a delivery period of 5.5 hours listed when you order, yes...the old notice that someone was actually on their way was appreciated. -There used to be more vegetables. In one of the meals this week, there were only 6 pieces of vegetables (in the large portion). A week or two ago I complained the potatoes were burned. The company responded to my complaint. This week, there were potatoes in the green chili chicken that weren't cooked thoroughly. I didn't complain this week, because I complained the last time I ordered. But if you can't cook the potatoes without overcooking them or undercooking them, maybe you shouldn't offer them as an option. This week, I sent a message asking what the macros for the steak meal were, but I never received a response. I also included a picture of container not having a label. Their website says "Each meal varies in the number of carbs/protein/macros but are guaranteed to be healthy options. Each meal prep has labels to provided detailed description of the serving size." Aside from the errors in those sentences lol...this is the second time I've had to email the company to get the macros for the labels that weren't on the container...but this time, no one responded. I use this meal service because I used to enjoy the food, the macro labels and to make my life easier. But it doesn't seem like that's the case anymore.

My order was a gift and for a specific event, so when it never got delivered, I had to find another option and was left with no choice but to reverse the charges with my bank. Once I spoke to the owner he offered to replace the meals at no cost to me, but by then it was too late. Glad the company is not fraudulent.

Best: the sesame balls - not too sweet, very soft, fresh, and flavorable! followed by the Meatballs and the chicken satay bowl - wow, flavorful, fresh, fantastic. Next: cha lua minh. Bread was fantastic. Beware the jalapeños- they are definitely small but mighty! (Put on side for couple things) Saved the coffee for the morning. We ordered it online - the pickup is interesting. Nice big parking lot, 3 picnic tables outside - very clean and nice. Clear signage. You walk into a tiny lobby - two electronic kiosks to order onsite if you want, and two little kiosks for order pickup. Held up my phone with the order # on it and it told us which bin had our order and it popped open. Nice woman behind a small counter window helped us very nicely as we were a bit confused about how to do the pickup. This little "lobby" is tiny - maybe room for 8 people total? Not sure how it would be during a busy time, but it's a quick and easy process. Overall, highly recommended! We will be back, if nothing else than for the sesame balls and some meatballs!

There were different restaurants you can order from too! I got the char siu pork banh mi. It looked amazing, but for me, it wasn't anything special flavor-wise. I feel like the pickled veggies weren't pickled enough so it was missing that flavor I love when I have a banh mi. It was a solid banh mi, but I have other places I would prefer to go to instead.

There is a nice variety of sweet treats, and the service provided by the team inside the truck was stellar. One of our student organizations was hosting The Scookie Bar, and after walking around their event, you could score a ticket for a complimentary Scookie. As we pre-ordered so many as incentives for our students, I thought I'd give it a try. Unfortunately, something wasn't set up properly so we didn't have the cookies themselves, but we did have sundaes. We had six options to decide between. I went with The Standard consisting of vanilla ice cream, chocolate chips, and chocolate sauce, and on a normal day, there would have bene a chocolate chip cookie, too. The other five options included the Chocolate Lover, The Celebration, The Signature, Reese's Lover, and The VNA. While I enjoyed the sundae, I'm sure it would have been even better with the cookie included. The Scookie Bar is "where the scoop met the cookie" and serves freshly baked, warm deep-dish skillet cookies also known as scookies. They have a location at The Churchill in Downtown Phoenix, though I would assume I would more regularly see them when their food truck stops by ASU. Their Churchill location is closed on Monday but open Tuesday through Friday from 5-10 PM and Saturday and Sunday from Noon to 10 PM. If you want to order catering, it includes 2 hours of service and a 100 scookie minimum. They can provide a Build Your Own Menu where guests can choose the cookie, ice cream, and toppings, or they can choose from the Signature Scookie Menu which is what ASU did. They have been operating since 2016 in Phoenix. Now that I realize that I was missing the chocolate chip cookie, I need to try it again with that included! I definitely recommend this sweet treat to others.
