I loved this place. We went for brunch on Sunday and had a great experience. We didn't have reservations; but the staff was prompt and courteous in sitting us quickly. All three of us got the unlimited brunch option; and the staff was fabulous about it--they ensured we were welcome to switch our beverage choices at any time and were friendly throughout. Plus, the price points for unlimited brunch these days made it a really reasonable option! The interior is lovely--romantic and cozy. Our friend is a photographer and even spoke with the manager about using it as a prop for a photo shoot! He was extremely kind and flexible about the possibilities of doing so. Although it didn't work out, that goes to show you the staff is approachable. I had the falafel plate and they were really amazing. Homemade; and you could tell--they didn't have the frozen hallmark of being uniform in size and shape. The babaganoush was delicious and won over the hummus, which could have used a bit more salt and garlic. Some toum would be a good addition with the plate too; however, my husband's breakfast pizza was absolutely the best meal among us. The salt on the cheese was a perfect compliment. My wife and I used to love this place but unfortunately their standards are no longer what they once were. We ordered the lamb kebab pita, it was FILLED with lettuce and 3 pieces of cold hard chewy lamb. The falafel was burnt and the sauce was old. Fantastic comfort food! I visited on a crisp Sunday with a nasty cold, craving a food hug, and Dar 525 provided. Their chicken soup was so fresh and light, and warmed my soul as well as my body. It was like being back home and having a bowl made just for you. Better than any prescription. The wings are really excellent as well, perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy inside. I'm not usually a fan of baba ganoush, but their's is delicious, you get the smokey flavour along with the creamy, earthy goodness but with out any slimy or grainy texture which is what usually puts me off. The pineapple and ginger juice was a perfect mix, sweet and spice working in harmony to chase away the sickness. Since then I have ordered delivery from them several times and nothing has dropped below the standard of going there in person. It's small, cosy and totally worth a visit. read more

The pistacchio pizza is good, but not as good as you'd expect. The crumbliness of the pistacchio is not really pleasing. It's heavy, and can definetely be shared. Get two poached eggs on it and spread it over to undo the feeling of eating spices from the can. The other things I've ordered have always been a dissapointment. Been here 3 times since they redid the space and menu and will keep returning! Definitely improved since before the reno. One main guy has taken my order each time and been super helpful and attentive. Portions are all generous and prices are super fair!! Happy hour 5-7 I believe but booze prices on a regular basis are all good anyways. Would definitely recommend the chicken bowl with rice and salad and pita chips. We ordered delivery tonight. The reviews and pics looked great but we think it was misrepresented. I got a chicken kebab and a lamb kebab. Chicken was overcooked and the lamb was undercooked. The fries were a lil soggy but still pretty good. (That's why you got 2 stars). The delivery guy and phone were both both friendly but you have to upgrade on your delivery food. My friend and I walked by this place and decided to eat there after reviewing the menu. We were so happy we stayed. Besides having difficultly with deciding between several entrees we wanted to order items off the brunch menu and the regular menu, we decided on falafel platter and veggie kababs. Both came to us hot, and fresh off the grill/fryer, with perfectly cooked rice, fresh homemade hummus and pita that we watched them pull out of this over and were still inflated from the baking process. I couldn't eat all of my food but I tried. It was so good that I didn't want to let it go. For the amount I ate I would have expected to have a fairly large bill, but it was about $15 each and we tagged on a nice tip! Wait staff was good friendly and easy on the eyes! I would love to go back again but only if I am in the area as its about a 30-40 minute drive for me. read more

The take out presentation is somewhat odd; there was rice and meat in a large compartment, and both smaller compartments were used for hummus. Their foul and hummus are a bit peculiar. The former has a very strong olive taste, and it may be a regional thing. I've eaten Jordian and Egyptian style foul, and what they serve here is not quite the same. Furthermore, the hummus seems to be very light on the tahini and is a bit granular. My main concern is that if you order the tasting place (comes with 5 choices of dips), they only give you one piece of bread! I personally find this quite absurd as the plate can easily serve as an appetizer for 3-4 people, but the lack of bread is very very disappointing. The kebabs are delicious, but the serving size can be quite small. Overall, I would recommend it to a friend, however I would caution them against ordering the hummus and foul. read more

I like Dar 525 very very much. The burger is delicious, the falafel was not the best I've had, the chicken soup just as yummy as my mom's (who is a chef) and the brunch mushroom pizza could have had the eggs cooked a bit more. The mix review on the food was done on purpose, just to say some on the items on the menu might have room for improvement does not mean I didn't like them, I still ate every last bite. Will I continue to order online and visit the restaurant? You bet! I think they are aware of their hits and misses, they make a real effort to provide fresh, good quality food and I cannot complain about the service, every time we have been there we have been treated exceptionally well. I live nearby and I'm just happy to have Dar close by. Love the music they play at the restaurant, the fresh baked bread and the diversity in the menu. read more

Great food at a great price within a short timeframe. I recommend for take out or if you're in the area. As a casual spot with a menu of mostly classics, it's probably not worth traveling to from afar. That's why this is a 4 star review. But if you want to try this pistachio pizza I'm going to tell you about, I highly recommend. We had the pistachio pizza and the Shepard's salad. The pizza was outstanding and novel. It had a pita crust layered with some cooked onions, lots of cheese and a generous dusting of pistachio crumbs. I love pistachios and I love this pizza. The Shepard's salad was reminiscent of a good, chunky tabbouli. It had bite size pieces of cucumber, tomato and soft feta topped with parsley with a mild vinaigrette.
