Their Cobb salad here is a delightfully different take - I mean especially when you are ordering a SALAD AT A BAR...- seriously awesome here. All elements seemed freshly made - corned beef & fresh grilled chicken breast made for a protein rich Cobb with all the other usual Cobb salad suspects. I've been going to Darcys every couple of months for about ten years. It is hit or miss. I've had really great meals and a few mediocre ones. It really depends on who they have working. They really haven't settled on if they want to be a family friendly neighborhood tavern or a young adult whoop it up with shots nightclub bar. As such it fails on both accords. I haven't been in about a year after enduring the hands down worst waitress experience ever. (Drunk and doing flaming shots with friends, belligerent, angry at me for disrespecting her by asking for the check). No manager on premises at 8:30pm. Just a bad scene. I should probably give them another try. She can't possibly still be there. But it shows how one really bad night can really keep someone away. I recommend that Darcies work on maintaining a great team, create a positive atmosphere and get rid of the alcoholic freeloading friends of the staff that clearly hangout for free drinks. Hadn't been into this place in quite some time and we stopped here for a quick bite to eat after a graduation. The fried pickles were way too doughy and had too much batter on it for me but other than that all the pub food was hittin right. The service was good too except they kept forgetting our drink orders and the rounds were taking way too long to come out, and it wasn't busy either. I was really excited to try the food here. We ordered wings. Prime Rib. Fish and chips. Wings fair at best not crispy enough. Fatty tasting. Decent flavor. Fish and Chips. Bland the blandest fish I have ever eaten. The tarter sauce was modified by the "chef" tasted horrible. You don't want a weird tasting tarter sauce when you're looking for traditional fish and chips. Very bad. Prime rib. Bottom of the barrel meat. So fatty I had to send it back. Tough as shoe leather. I could not recommend these dishes. I could not recommend this place for food. Drinks yes. I pride myself on being a pub-food snob (which is an oxymoron, I know) and I spent a long time working at one of the most authentic Irish pubs on the east coast, so when I found Darcy's in my new neighborhood I was stoked. I finally stopped by today when I found myself craving a good burger and beer on my lunch break. First of all, the burger was excellent. Cooked to a perfect medium, fresh produce on top, and a really nice flavor. The fries were also very good - crisp and full of that unique pub seasoned flavor that I adore. Overall I have no complaints about the food, though I realize the pub burger is a small sampling of the menu. Beer was cold and the tap was fresh (Smithwicks), though $7 for a pint of a basic Irish brew is steep. The atmosphere is cool - very traditional Irish pub feel and convincingly authentic decor. The loss of stars is because I felt...awkward?...sitting at the bar alone enjoying my lunch. I felt rushed to finish and close my check and get out. I honestly would have stayed for a few more pints, but the check was left for me (after I declined cheesecake) before I finished my meal. As mentioned by other reviewers, the wait staff does congregate at the bar and gossip - it wasn't about me (at least what I heard wasn't), but I was seated near enough to be aware of it and it did make me feel like they would probably have things to say about me after I left. That's never a fun feeling and doesn't exactly make a person feel comfortable and welcome. Overall it's good and I'll probably come back (when my wife can come and I won't have to be alone). Food seems good, prices are a bit high (but hey...that's Denver in 2021), and I'm not totally sold on the service, but it was a good lunch and decent experience and I wouldn't discourage you from going there if you asked! read more

After waiting several minutes without being acknowledged, a young woman approached me to say that the kitchen just closed. It was around 740p. The location close at 9pm. Review for happy hour only! Came here the other day with the colleagues. Our territories cover the entire Denver metro area, so sometimes it's hard to find a location central enough to meet. DTC is as good an option as any, and a quick search turned up Darcy's, which ended up being a fab spot to grab an after work bite and beverage. Upon entering, it took a minute for my eyes to adjust to the dim lighting, but that's what I would expect from a pub atmosphere. My colleagues had snagged a booth in the back, and looking around there were options for parties of all sizes - from single bar stools, to intimate tables, to the larger booths for groups. Our server was Jeremy and he did a great job checking on us at appropriate intervals. He also split our checks without us even asking. Super appreciate that. Our group had the calamari, the steamed mussels, the curry fries and the pesto flatbread. Everything was delicious. I will say I was most impressed with the seafood, probably because I had low expectations; the mussels were cooked with the perfect amount of garlic, wine and butter, and the calamari was not greasy or chewy. House wine and beers on tap were the beverage choices, and my bill in the end was $9. Not too shabby for the quality of the meal and service. Parking was tough in the main lot, however there was an underground garage and I found a spot there. While I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to go back, if in the area I wouldn't hesitate to stop in again. read more

I don't normally leave reviews, but I felt like I should say something about this restaurant. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. My friend ordered a beyond burger, and when it came it was clearly real meat. We asked the waiter about it, and he said it was a beyond burger but he would "double-check." After he came back, he apologized and said it was actually meat (after my vegetarian friend had already eaten some). Another friend ordered a veggie omelette that came with bacon on the side, but he asked the waiter to leave out the bacon because he was also a vegetarian. The omelette came with bacon on the side--and bacon in the omelette. I swapped it for my omelette because we didn't want to wait for them to remake everything, but that meant that neither of us got the omelette we actually ordered. (No one had ordered an omelette with bacon in it, and we'd ordered different fillings.) The food was also really bad: the toast was soggy, the hash browns were greasy, soggy and cold, and the scone was burnt. The service was also slow. When the check came, they hadn't charged us for the beyond burger, but they charged us for the omelettes (even though we didn't get what we ordered). Mysteriously, they also charged us $3 for extra avocado, even though no one had ordered that. They agreed to take that off the bill, but we still ended up paying $60 for a meal where 3/4 of us didn't get what we'd wanted. My vegetarian friend also had a stomach ache from eating real meat. It was troubling that they didn't take any of this seriously at all. I kept thinking of people that don't eat meat for religious reasons, and they'd added meat to not one but two of our orders! Overall, a terrible experience. Our waiter seemed like he was trying, but there's something systematically wrong with this restaurant. read more

Darcy's is a great spot if you live/work in the area. There is plenty of space for large groups and small. Every time I go back on a work lunch or happy hour, I am impressed with the consistency of service. It is pub food, and for pub food, it gets the job done! I am a huge fan of the french dip / french onion soup combo and it is hard for me not to order anything else. Apps to order are the artichoke dip and calamari! I'm really surprised at the low star rating that Darcy's has, because it's one of my favorite go-to spots in DTC! We've been coming here at least once or twice a month for their trivia nights on Saturdays. There's always a great turnout, the trivia host is fun, and we get tasty food on top of it all. For food, you have to get their artichoke dip! It is full of cheesy goodness and they serve it with amazing garlic toast and veggies. We also always order a side of fries too. I've had two of their sandwiches (cuban and the chicken bacon) and their burger, and all of them have been really good. We haven't tried any of the other entrees, but I don't think you can go wrong with their sandwiches, burgers, or appetizers. read more

I love Darcys and I love Wednesday night for entertainment. I tip obscenely well and they know I do. I said my teeny tiny sandwich was salty and they did nothing to acknowledge ridiculously unedible food. The wait staff informed management and management ignored the problem and didn't approach or apologize. When I mentioned the problem to the waitstaff... I said there's no need to credit my bill... And with that gratuity... Management didn't clean it up. I will continue to go... I will continue to pay for happy hour drinks... My tips will be 20%... And I won't order food. I entertain a lot... I have met up at Darcy's a good 5 times while living in Denver. As far as Centennial and the Tech Center goes, Darcy's is my type of pub destination. I usually meet up after work on a Friday for a happy hour beer and seem to stay the rest of the night sucking down more cold beers and having dinner. Their outdoor patio, mostly of concrete above a parking lot, is still a good place to enjoy a frosty cold beer during the warmer months. Darcy's bar is also a nice place to mingle with others. Since Darcy's is an Irish type pub, it does have that resemblance to what I've been to in Ireland, almost. The beers on tap are super cold and service I have had has always been good. When they get busy, the service does slow down a bit. If I'm going to be there for more than 2 or 3 hours, I realize this. I enjoy watching the crowd flavor and dynamics change, great people watching and good people to talk to. After a good time at Darcy's sometimes we head over to Baker Street Pub across the street for their live music on the weekends. I'm much more a fan of Darcy's than Baker Street, it's just a much larger scene close by. read more

A group of us were in Denver on business and decided to check out Darcy's. The ambience was nice, very sports-bar-ish, and service was prompt. The food was unexceptional and a bit bland - despite the gastropub flavor of the menu the food itself was mostly bar food. I got the chicken bacon mac and cheese and it was made with penne (odd) with a watery cream sauce instead of cheese (also odd), but the flavor was fine. It was a rich dish (to be expected), but not exactly mac and cheese. Everyone else seemed content with their food, but not wow-ed. Perfectly acceptable fare. read more

Several times I was looking for a refill or assistance changing the tv channel to a different ncaa game. I am staying at the hyatt regency and the gentleman who works at concierge is extremely accommodating. He drove me to Darcy's pub and recommended that the burgers were awesome. I was tired from my flight and just wanted to get something quick. The waitress greeted me and was amazingly sweet and attentive. I didn't catch her name but that she had blonde hair lol. I ordered 5 buffalo wings and a black and bleu burger with sweet potato fries. Since it was takeout and sitting in the container till I got to my room it was a bit soggy. But it was still good. The burger I had cooked medium and it was delicious. The sweet potato fries was DELICIOUS!!! And I can tell it was made in house and not frozen which I love! Hey, another pub! Just what DTC needs! Seriously, there are too many. You would think this would inspire healthy competition, but they are all just mediocre, this one included. It is smallish, so don't even try on St. Pat's. They have a cool retro feel with the giant bar and some fancy tile work. They were very busy when we were there, but our server took good care of us. Boring beer menu. Need to catch up with the rest of Colorado and have some fun stuff. Irish or Scottish beers, we get it. There are some amazing local stouts and ales that are made traditionally. Oskar Blues Old Chub Scotch Ale? You will sell a lot of it. Some interesting sounding food on the menu, but it was all "meh" once it came to us. We had Irish Nachos (potato chips, corned beef, horseradish sauce, etc.). The sauce was great, but the chunks of beef were too big and had to be cut. Not enough toppings. Chips were stale. *sigh* The "adult" mac and cheese? What on earth made it "adult"? Never figured that out. We were sitting near the bar and there was an odor...sewery.
