Based on the great reviews here on Yelp, I brought in one ring to be re-sized and another ring that had a decorative part in the center of it broken off and lost. Greg Darcy was very patient in helping me decide how to replace the broken part of that one ring and did a great job in re-sizing the other ring. He was also honest with me about the broken ring. I thought it was solid silver but he told me it was silverplated brass. Thanks to him, I now have two rings that I can wear again. I've had dealings with many, many jewelers, but my recent experience with Greg Darcy tops them all! I contacted him because I needed his help with a flawed wedding ring setting; three separate diamonds had fallen out in a 12-month period so I knew there was something wrong. He confirmed my suspicions and suggested an alternative setting. Here's the best part: I had brought in a bag of random loose diamonds with me that I had been accumulating over the last several years. In addition to the stones already in my original (flawed) wedding band, he was able to sell/trade all of these diamonds in order to provide me with TWO identical wedding bands! And, he did so at an unheard of low price! The rings are spectacular! If that wasn't enough, as a bonus he took a diamond necklace of mine that had been sitting in my jewelry box (unworn) for 2 decades and transformed it into a stunning set of diamond hoop earrings! He is amazing and loves to give new life to old and forgotten jewelry. You can be sure I'll be going through my jewelry box again to see what other magic he can perform! I originally found Darcy's Fine Jewelers through Yelp, and could not be happier with this business. Greg designed my engagement ring based on a picture I had found online, and modified it to make sure it worked with the size of my hand and finger. I am complimented on it almost daily! He originally set the engagement ring with a white sapphire (all reviews stating that Greg is both honest and flexible when it comes to one's budget are dead-on), and when it came time to buy my wedding band, we ended up using my grandmother's engagement ring. He was able to deconstruct it to replace the sapphire in my engagement ring with her diamond, and still keep the original shape of her ring (now my wedding band)- just now made to fit my engagement ring! Both together are so beautiful, and it is so special to me that Greg made it possible for me to have both mine and my husband's new history mixed with a family heirloom. Although we could have just bought the ring my husband found online as his wedding band, we loved Greg and his business so much that we went in and asked Greg if he could reproduce the ring we had found.
