a plate of food on a table
Jane C.

We had dinner here for our anniversary and were delighted to be seated by the windows, which lent gorgeous views of the golf course greens. For our appetizer, we ordered the spinach artichoke dip, which had a crumb crust that gave way to the most bewitching layer of bubbly layer underneath. It arrived piping hot with a generous plate of crostini, and by the time we were done, we barely had enough stomach space for the entrees to come. My husband enjoyed his burger well enough, though the accompanying fries were unfortunately cold. I cobbled my entree together by combining a Caesar salad and an appetizer - the burrata caprese and fried green tomatoes. Both were perfectly executed, and the mound of fresh burrata cheese was extraordinarily fresh (perhaps made in-house?). Even though we were here on a quiet weekday night, it seems that reservations are mandatory for all visitors. For larger parties celebrating a special get-together, there is a beautiful screened in porch that seems like it would seat 8-10.

This is combo review as we visited a few times during our stay and ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here. Breakfast was best meal by far. All food was cooked well, served warm and of great quality. I will say get on vacation time. Service is typically slow but very attentive. The second day my husband had to leave for his tee time before the food came. We had been at table for almost 40 min. They did comp his meal and drink. Lunch we did as a to go order. It was decent. Also took a long time but they were busy. Tortilla soup was more like chili to us. Cobb salad was great with grilled chicken and smoothie was typical nothing great or fancy. Prices are high to be expected. It's a resort.... Dinner was a disappointment. Lobster was flavorless. Ribeye was not high quality and not good taste either. Bread appetizer was very hard. Charcuterie we had for app was decent. Overall it's ok considering price, service and convenience. Service was exemplary every time!

All green panini

Have hit this place for lunch several times and it is generally pretty good, especially given the options in the area. They recently added an all green panini that had kale, avocado and basil pesto. Super tasty and the bread had the perfect crisp. Going the unhealthy route, I went for the fries. Crispy and salty, just as I prefer. Great place, especially if you have clients. Bar looks solid and I haven't sampled yet. Had Amber as a server, very pleasant.

Crab cakes with fried green tomatoes.

What I appreciated about this restaurant is the excellent customer service. The wait staff was personable and entertaining while also being extremely professional. The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Loved every meal. We stayed 3 nights and had amazing meals each night. I'd return to the Barnsley Resort (it was awesome in itself) just for this restaurant. Sooo good. (Be hungry. The portions are huge!)

Dinner and appetizers were great! Pasta was a little dry but otherwise a great staple at Barnsley.

We let him know that our son has celiac disease and it turned out that Nathan also has celiac disease. Because of this he was incredibly knowledgeable and thoughtful in helping us navigate the menu and choose safe options for our son. Even better our son was able to connect with Nathan and swap stories about living gluten free which meant so much to us as parents. That personal connection truly made the experience special. The atmosphere is fantastic and feels like a true cellar tucked away in the basement giving it such a cool and unique vibe. It felt like a hidden gem and a really fun place to discover. I also had a gluten free apple cider that was made locally and it was hands down one of the best ciders I have ever had. Between the outstanding service the care shown for food allergies and the unique setting this was an unforgettable visit. We will absolutely be back and highly recommend The City Cellar and Loft to anyone especially families navigating celiac disease.

From the moment we arrived, the service set the tone for the evening. Our server, Lizzy, was outstanding: attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. Excellent service like this immediately elevates a dining experience, and she made us feel well taken care of throughout the meal. The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the steak. We shared a massive 50-ounce ribeye, cooked beautifully and bursting with flavor. The meat was exceptionally tender, richly marbled, and perfectly prepared -- easily the kind of steak that justifies a visit on its own. Before the main course, we explored the sushi bar menu and ordered the crispy rice appetizer, which turned out to be one of the most memorable dishes of the evening. Tempura-fried sushi rice topped with spicy tuna, chili garlic, and a soy glaze created an incredible balance of texture and flavor -- crispy, spicy, savory, and slightly sweet all at once. It was a standout and a perfect example of the restaurant's successful fusion approach. The sides were solid complements to the meal. The fries were thick, plump, and pleasantly crunchy, while the sautéed onions were classic steakhouse fare done well. The bread service was another pleasant surprise, featuring soft, tender rolls alongside pão de queijo -- a delightful Brazilian touch that we did not expect but thoroughly enjoyed. For a two-person dinner -- including one appetizer, a large shared steak, two sides, and water (no alcohol or dessert) -- the total came to about $300 including a 20% tip. AG Steakhouse successfully blends classic steakhouse excellence with creative menu options that keep the experience interesting and memorable. We left impressed -- and already planning our return. We'll definitely be back.

Drew was our waiter and he truly made us feel like we were his only table. He had water and iced tea refills as soon as and even before our glasses were empty. Here's what we got: - Yeast Rolls ($8): Excellent, especially with the butter. Still dreaming of these. - Lump Crab Cake ($29): Pretty good. Note that the salsas had a kick to them. - Blue Fin Tuna Crudo ($28): Nothing to write home about. The chili was spicy. - French Onion Soup ($15): Just as good as we remembered it from last time. - Tasting for Two ($209): The filet and spinalis were delicious. The first time we went to Bask, the wagyu was exceptional. This time, it was the fattier part of the cut and sadly didn't live up to the hype. Disappointed. - Scallops ($50): Absolutely delicious. The arroz verde cremosa was soo good. Decent portion too. - Seafood Mac & Cheese ($20): Came with lobster and shrimp. Suuuuper good, cheesy, and creamy. - Broiled Asparagus ($15): Seriously amazing. The best asparagus I've ever had. We were celebrating an anniversary and they let us choose a dessert on the house. We got the Cinnamon Roll Bread Pudding (normally $14). Sadly, it was just meh. We got the Colossal Cosmonaut Cookie last time, which was out of this world. Definitely get the cookie and skip the bread pudding.
