This little Ice Cream Shop is a block and a half off Sonoma Plaza between 2nd and 3rd streets, so walkable for you Plaza visitors. It appears to be family run, is clean and simply decorated, with good ice cream choices with rotating flavors. The pricing is reasonable and the quality of the ice cream is good, or as the name implies, Darling.

Love this cute ice cream shop! They have homemade ice cream with unique flavors. I got an affogato with a scoop of chocolate and my kiddo got a cone with mint chip. Both were delicious! Service was friendly as usual, they let us try what ever new flavors they have. If you haven't tried this place, you won't be disappointed!

I love Sweet Scoops & when I heard they were opening a sister location I was so excited! Darling does not disappoint, it's everything you love about sweet scoops just bigger! There are a LARGE selection of flavors to choose from, pints to-go & even offer ice cream pies & cakes -- which I cannot wait to try. Stop by, try one of their delicious handmade scoops in their freshly made waffle cones, you won't regret it!

Great flavors, friendly folks! The sister ice cream shop to Sweet Scoops on the Sonoma Plaza. It's nice to have an option, mainly serving locals, that is off the Plaza so we don't have to always deal with the crowds. Yummy stuff! Treat yo'self!

Solid ice cream shop. One of the more tasty and affordable places. I appreciate how their ice cream tastes very rich, yet doesn't leave your stomach feeling heavy.

Super cute little ice cream shop! Staff is always very friendly and welcoming. I have always enjoyed their ice cream here and at sweet scoops. This was the first time trying their pie wasn't sure what to think of it but everyone really enjoyed it. Also got a dog bone for our little Lexy and she devoured it! I will definitely be getting her more treats when we get some for ourselves. Prices are very reasonable and it is less crowded than sweet scoops in the plaza. I also enjoy that they change the flavors every month gives me more time to go and try their new flavors. You can also get any ice cream to go and they usually have ice cream cakes as well.

Darling Ice Cream is delicious. My favorite is strawberry and their strawberry shake. My friend brought for dessert peanut butter with chocolate, and it was delicious

My son is 4 years old and is non verbal autistic. It's hard for us to go out to eat or public settings because it can be overwhelming for him. But on Wednesday we went in before an appointment and he was SO excited. When he is excited he yells happily and jumps around smiling. People tend to stare at us weirdly or think we have no control over him but the worker at Darlings was SO accepting and nice and cheered on with him. I just wanted to say a huge thank you for that on top of the amazing ice cream made in house. This is truly a family shop and we can't wait to go back. The small gestures like this can make someone's day.

1/2 scoop was a perfect treat!

Darling Ice Cream is a sweet treat! It's located near Whole Foods. Small store- all homemade ice cream and cones. The store is super clean, and adorable. We tried a bunch of flavors in my party of 6, and all were GREAT, but the stand-outs were the lavender and honey (its mostly honey), as well as the snicker-like flavor (I forgot items name). Those two flavors were spot on. No public bathrooms, and not a ton of seating, but the courtyard and landscape benches nearby allowed for plenty of space to sit, chat and eat ice cream. We will definitely come back!

To start off, the line situation just isn't ideal, so it would be nice if they put up a rope to help cordon off the line from the payment area, but the service itself was very helpful and friendly and the ice cream barista was able to make the perfect shaved ice for me when I asked for light root beer syrup. My shaved ice was absolutely delicious and I loved their flavor options so I would definitely come back next time we're in Sonoma.

For a large cup with 3 scoops I ordered 2 scoops of Rocky Road and a scoop of Dulce De Leche and my hubby ordered Mint, Rocky Road and chocolate with 1 scoop each.. Total with tax was around $18. Not so sweet but you can taste the flavor, the pure and freshness of the dairy they used, we really loved it.. So creamy and delightful.. He and his assistant Christine were extremely professional, the food was absolutely delicious, the presentation was delightful and everything went according to plan. Me and my entire party would recommend Chef Andrea without hesitation and are already talking about doing this again. We started by being surprised and delighted with warm fresh baked breads paired with yummy homemade salami. Then we moved to our first course of mixed organic greens with goat cheese mousse, pears and walnuts with a delicious Italian balsamic vinegar. Chef came out and showed us our 2nd course of his fresh handmade agnolotti dal plin (pasta pockets stuffed with pork, beef and veggies in a sage brown butter sauce) before cooking it and, once cooked, grated fresh cheese over it. Our third course was boneless organic chicken stuffed with porcini mushrooms wrapped in pancetta with perfectly cooked carrots and green beans and roasted potatoes. Dessert was a delicious chocolate Italian custard with amaretti biscuits paired with homemade strawberry mint sorbet. Every course was described to us by Chef with tidbits of information about Italy, which was very informative. The service was Michelin star quality, all women were served first and the food was fresh and piping hot. It was clear that Chef is very passionate about his food and the stories behind it. And, my kitchen was even cleaner when they left than it was when they arrived and we didn't have to lift a finger. What an amazing experience!
