I thought a beauty school would be teaching its students how to lighten hair to a lighter color I was told by Miss mark the teacher, who I thought would be a professional hairdresser, that they would only be able to darken it & she actually said they couldn't tell me what color the final color would be. I was shocked that they couldn't lighten it. Mrs mark was rude & had to tell Ashley to start at the beginning & ask me questions about my previous box color & Ashley acted like she's never done that before. Very shocked that they are such a bad school & let students that don't know the first steps color hair. I left quickly before they ruined my hair. Please avoid this "school".

We sent my girlfriend's daughter to this place to learn 'the trade' in Lashes, Nails, and Hair. She was crazy excited, and she had a friend that was about to start there as well. It was a NIGHTMARE from START to (VERY EARLY) FINISH. There is ZERO STRUCTURE, no formal guidance or curriculum, and if you have a question about ANYTHING, there is never anyone to take a LIVE CALL. (You can CERTAINLY 'sign up' for school though!) They tried to start her with another class that had already been going for THREE WEEKS! (Their excuse was 'we always start students with the 'current class', even if they are 3, 4, or even 6 'modules ahead', and then 'go back' and cover the 'introductory first modules' after they completed the track. She got sick around the 3rd week and called in (so she wouldn't get everyone else sick) and the NEXT DAY they DROPPED HER and told her she had to start ALL OVER AGAIN. (Her friend got dropped as well because they changed the schedule TWO DAYS before the scheduled class, they ONLY updated their website - they did NOT contact any students, and those who 'missed' were also dropped and made to start again.) LONG, AGONIZING, STORY SHORT - we paid over $1500 in 'fees' ($1000 of that was a 'deposit' for labs and course materials). She was only there 4 WEEKS. NEVER received any 'course materials', and when asked to refund the $1000 Deposit, they said they would (back last NOVEMBER) the next week. 45 calls later (where messages were left with either a LIVE PERSON or on recording), they have NEVER RETURNED ONE CALL! We are now in the process of contacting the Better Business Bureau as well as an attorney. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL!! IT'S A SCAM!!!

Wasted three hours of my time and they don't do refunds only credit to come back. Why would I ever come back though after that traumatic experience. Wish I could give zero stars. Advice: Do not book clients with students until they are close to graduation.

You truly can't beat the price for the quality of service you receive. The students are professional, attentive, and clearly well-trained, and the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable. They've been in the industry for years and are always present, offering guidance, stepping in when needed, and making adjustments to ensure the client is happy with the final result. I've always felt listened to and well taken care of. One thing to keep in mind--this comes with any hair school--is timing. If you're booking color or more involved services, plan accordingly. Appointments can take a while, so I recommend clearing your schedule and expecting to be there at least half a day (sometimes longer). It's well worth it if you plan ahead. I would 1000% return and will continue coming back. Between the great experiences, amazing value, and the Aveda products, scents, and services they offer, this place is truly a gem.
