This place is a hidden gem. Terrific sushi, excellent service. It's small place which we loved. They have a great sushi selection and good prices for large trays for get togethers or events. Tonight they had a special where you buy two special rolls and get one original roll free. We tried the Ebi King, our favorite, Tropical Roll, really good and had the Alaska roll also. All 10/10. We also had tuna and salmon nigiri, it was very fresh. Will definitely be back and do take out for get togethers.

Delicious and beautiful sushi! If you're visiting the Miami area, stop in and eat here. Also reasonably priced.

This is my go-to place for sushi. I've been a loyal customer even before they opened Daruma. I love their delivery options and combo deals. The prices are fantastic for the quality of sushi. My favorite is the shrimp tempura; everyone at home has become a sushi lover after trying it. Their sushi is perfect for parties or meetings. The service is amazing and super easy too! I have never been to the place but always order delivery. I must visit soon. Highly recommended!

Beautiful place and presentation of their food with every roll. Bao buns were top tier as was their service. Very cleanly and welcoming location/staff. Truly a 10/10 sushi spot

They have a good amount of tables as well as floor seating to get a feel of traditional Japanese culture. To start we had a few appetizers to share. The edamame and fried dumplings which were both delicious. As our main meal we had a few delicious plates to try and they were all very good. Only plate that we had a suggestion for was the fish that was cut into very thick slices. Other than that the waitress was very patient with us and did the best she could specially that she was in charge of many tables.

The service was the bare minimum of hi, how are you, what do you want, and here you go. No pizzazz or anything memorable. Then the food. The food? Meh. I had actually arrived thinking that there was a happy hour or an all you can eat option, but neither existed, even after I researched online extensively, so that was a huge disappointment. I had to search hard to find rolls that weren't laid full of cream cheese, which, to me, essentially means "here is a roll with cream cheese to mask all of the icks flavors of the subpar fish that we are actually serving you and do not want you to be aware!" I ordered some nigiri, which tasted old, not fresh and on rice not treated correctly. Need I remind the YELP! Community??? Sushi is actually referring to the treatment of the sushi RICE and NOT the fish or ingredients on the nigiri or roll! So in this sense, Miyako Doral FAILED. I will admit, that this was one of the first sushi places that I had gone to when I first moved to Miami, not knowing the abysmal notion of what sushi is interpreted to mean here in south Florida. YUCK. Thank you for letting me know. SUSHI HERE SUCKS! Unless you want to pay an arm and a leg for true, pure and traditional types like at Omakai, ELYU or Shingo. Just. YUCK. I am from MN, a land locked state, and yet I know better sushi than the majority of locals here in SoFlo. I am really, and truly sorry for those of you who think good sushi means "cream cheese cream cheese cream cheese!"

I went to OMAKAI sushi in wynwood back in March of 2025 and it was a wonderful experience so I'm not sure if the Doral location just isn't as good or if the quality has just gone down. I had the Oma Deluxe experience in Doral and the nigiri was not as good as I expected (however, my dining companion was very happy with everything). For example, the hotate nigiri was pretty bitter and a lot of the fish wasn't melt-in-your-mouth buttery (it was chewier than I would like). Something was just off about the flavor overall and I'm not sure if it's the fish, the rice, or what. There were some okay pieces but nothing was wow either. The yuzu burnt cheesecake dessert was good though! Nice ambience (although some of the songs can be a little too loud and chaotic for the restaurant). The service was good. Comfortable seating. I would like to go back and order a la carte to see if I have a better experience next time.

First off, the gratuity / tip is very hidden when you order on the site. They purposely suggest a tip beginning at 18% during check out and BEFORE you can see that they already have a fixed gratuity. So most of us double tipped. I'd be less annoyed if the service wasn't horrendous. The waitresses (food runners) all seemed to have an attitude. They won't make eye contact or speak unless you address them specifically. They didn't even hand the food over; they make you grab it off their trays. Asking for anything like napkins, extra plates, sauces, silverware is a nuisance to them, yet you've just DOUBLE TIPPED for this terrible service. Then you look at the booths and all the people behind them are texting. Maybe more attention to cooking and less on their phones would help. The food was basically all bad, which is really sad. I've had some really great experiences here in the past when it was SHOMA, but I definitely won't be back.

My first impression was that the restaurant is very small and has extremely limited parking, making it somewhat impractical to visit. I was greeted by the hostess, who was polite and took my order. However, she wasn't familiar with the Yummy Roll, and I had a difficult time explaining what I wanted. When I finally ate my food, the biggest disappointment was the rice. It held together, but it was mushy and overly soft in some areas, while other parts were hard, as if it hadn't been cooked properly. The flavor and texture were nothing like what I'm used to. I'm a frequent customer of the Sushi Sake location on A1A and Ocean Drive, and I order the same items there regularly. The food at that location is consistently excellent, which made this experience even more disappointing. I had hoped to save some time by stopping at the location closest to me, but it simply didn't compare. If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend the A1A and Ocean Drive location--you won't regret it. This location would benefit from additional staff training and greater attention to food preparation and quality control. I hope they make improvements because I know how great Sushi Sake can be.
