We had a late lunch here today. Although somewhat limited on fish types, we still enjoyed our lunch here. The menu is fusion sushi which integrates traditional Japanese sushi with a South American style (ceviches, tiraditos, etc.). We started with spicy tuna tacos (4/5). A miniature deep fried won ton wrapper shaped like a taco with spicy tuna filling, micro cilantro, sitting on cream cheese. Next was the ahi tuna tiradito (5/5). Ahi slices with a leche de Tigre sauce and micro greens. This was both of our favorites. We then ordered two rolls: a spicy tuna roll (4/5) and the ceviche roll (4/5). The rolls were well made and the flavors a little unique to what we are used to. I enjoyed and appreciated the fusion more than my wife did. The service was professional and efficient. Went here for lunch because I seen their ads on ig and the photos and videos look delicious! I will admit their presentation on everything is very nice. The staff is friendly and the inside looks very modern and clean but not a traditional sushi restaurant. The restaurant is on the smaller end fitting maybe 20 people max. The lunch comes with a roll, soup, wakame seaweed salad, and gyoza or their salmon croquettas. They advertise a $13.99 lunch special and I got the same dish from the stories I've seen but load and behold it was $16.99. Not much different but still you need to stop advertising for your old prices. Considering the rolls alone are $16-20 it is a good deal for their sushi prices. The presentations are very good. Seeing all the different rolls everyone order coming out made we think oh I should've got that. The thing that bugged me was there was a service charge of 18% and I didn't realize because when I paid the server she showed the screen and the first option was 18% so I was thinking yeah I normally leave about 18% so I picked the first option. The screen was for additional tip. I do not like it when places charge you for tip before paying especially if you're dining alone or with just 1 other person. And normally when I see the "additional tip" screen it's normally very small like 3-10% being the first option so it's very obvious. To me this is to be sneaky and I don't like that. Only had take out but the sushi was really good. They have a different spin than the traditional rolls, but they tasted great! The miso soup was also not traditional but fantastic nonetheless the less. The interior has small tables, I wouldn't go with a large party. The staff was very friendly and spoke Spanish! Almost every roll has cream cheese, no option to remove it with online ordering. My shrimp tempura was gray. They give a time take out will be ready, it's never accurate. Either the food will be sitting for 35 minutes or you'll get there at pickup time and they never started it. Staff is very nice, very prompt when dining in. This is my third time with them (between dining in and take out) and I've been disappointed in the food each time. The roll selection is wide but none are excellent. read more

They filled us up a lot, unlike other plces. The pieces was big. The food was fresh and came out rather quickly for a saturday. The waitress was nice and attentive. I decided to check this place out for two reasons one it was next to the hotel but also because it was a combination of sushi rolls with a South American/Caribbean flair. The ceviche was actually quite good, a little on the Tangy side which is how i like it so i was good with it. That combined with the crispy plantains chips was a good mix. One of the rolls i got also had plantains in it and it was good i liked the different flavors. The smoked roll was tasty as well. Unique flavors enough so that i didnt even bother using shoyu and wasabi. I know its not a traditional sushi spot but Ive been to a lot of those. This was a nice change of pace. Our first time here and we loved it. The dishes portions are generous and savory, we ordered the tuna tacos and I have to say that it it very creative of the chef to place the tacos on top of a small bed of cream cheese as it prevented them from falling to the side which is what happens in other restaurants that serve this dish, the miso soup was also pleasant, the touch of zucchini noodles made it delicious. We also had the fish Ceviche and again, delicious, the seaweed salad, great. Definitely our new favorite place. Came here on a Friday night, pretty early. It's a small place in a shopping center. Seating is limited. Doesn't look suitable for big groups or large gatherings. Nicely decorated. Good service. The serving size was good. However the price seems higher than the setting. It seems more of a fast pace style restaurant and the prices compare to other finer locations in the area. Kind of not a Sushi bar, as they only do rolls. No Nigiri, except Tuna, and Salmon. That being said, the rolls were really good. It's a nice little place, with really good service. As I am more of a true Sushi aficionado, and not necessarily into "Rolls", I gave 4 stars. The menu looked very promising as it featured a variety of instagram-worthy sushi rolls. What stood out to me was that there were some intriguing sushi items that I have not seen anywhere else, so I applaud Ohana Sushi for trying to step out of the norm. However, the style of their sushi can be quite rich for some folks that favor a more lighter, simple style of sushi. The sushi did, in fact, taste fresh and were presented nicely. Service was average. Although friendly, I did notice that other diners received more attentive service than our party and our waters were not adequately refilled enough. Lots of ceviche options are on the menu along with some Mediterranean dishes play a ton of sushi options. They service was good. I ordered a togo order 20 minutes before they closed and my food was ready within 5 minutes. They recommended the Waku Roll so I decided to give it a try. It's definitely a fusion roll.....it has ceviche marinated in aji, avocado, and masago wrapped in soy paper topped with tuna, shallots, and a kim chee sauce. I did appreciate that they put the sauces on the side for me since it makes it look more appetizing. Food was good! My roll was fresh and the service was good! This review, like many here, is solely based on taste, since service left a lot to be desired. We went on a Tuesday and they were surprisingly very busy. The place was small but cozy. The service wasn't good. Although the staff were really nice, they were not attentive, and food took over an hour to come out. They didn't check on us for things like water, it was more like 1) get their order 2) bring their food 3) give them their check. The food itself was absolutely delicious. I almost want to say it's the best sushi I've ever had in Miami. My taste buds definitely had a field day with all the flavors! We ordered the the Volcano, Coco, Tsunami, Samurai and Ceviche, and they were all divine. The Coco and Ceviche were my favorite out of all of them. I do have to say, however, the rolls were smaller than other rolls I've had in Miami. We also ordered a bottle of sangria for $15.99 - it was a great deal, strong and it was prepared to perfection. Came here for an early dinner and the place was completely empty. We opted out to sit outside to enjoy the nice weather. We were attended pretty quickly. We stumbled upon Ohana late at night after some drinking with friends at a bar because we didn't really feel like having anything too heavy. This spot was right on our route home and would be open for another solid hour. We walked right in, were serviced immediately, and ordered 3 rolls + some gyozas. Everything was fine just nothing spectacular to make it stand out from a plethora of generic sushi places in the area. Food came out pretty quickly and we were done in about a half hour, I would say. It was fresh although I wish the hot items (gyozas and shrimp tempura on roll) would have actually been warmer, they were lukewarm at best. I'm still struggling to find a good sushi spot in Sweetwater/Doral. Ordered delivery from here. They got part of my order wrong so I'll focus my review on the parts that were correct. Their tempura batter isn't what I was expecting, it's more like chicken tender coating. The salmon tasted like it was smoked salmon instead of fresh salmon, which really bothered me. The takaki was nothing impressive, we were quite disappointed honestly. The gyozas were good, but you can never go wrong with gyozas! For our sushi rolls, I went with the Ebi Rolls Special. I loved it! It's very unique in that it has both salmon and avocado as toppings. They do have plenty of options for their sushi rolls, in a huge variety of combinations so there's no doubt you'll be able to find your perfect roll. For the price I was expecting something more. The appetizer we had was the shrimp shumai. And it was not as I expected. It was a little blend and couldn't taste the shrimp flavor. We ordered 2 rolls, I had the Ito Roll and for $20 dollars it honestly looked like the kind of sushi you can get at a supermarket. The taste wasn't too bad, however the rice and the flavors couldn't be tasted as much. The other roll we had was the coco roll and had to switch it for the ceviche roll, the coco roll was as simple as you can get it. And for $16.50 you can get more decent sushi in many places near by. The ceviche roll was better, the sauce on top was very good and the roll really tasted like ceviche. That was the only roll out of the 3 that I could say it was worth the price. If I come back to the place it is because of the great service provided by Sarah, but overall it is pricy for the kind of food they offer. read more
