We've visited Miyako several times and always had a good experience, but tonight was very disappointing. We made a reservation for 9:30 PM, only to be told by the hostess upon arrival that she could not seat us because the restaurant closes at 10 PM. My concern is this: why allow reservations at 9:30 PM on your website if your operating hours end at 10 PM? When I questioned this, the hostess said she could seat us but would not be able to serve items like dessert once it was past 10 PM. I've never encountered such a policy before. If this truly reflects your operating procedures, I strongly urge you to update your posted hours to close at 9 PM. That way, guests don't waste their time making late reservations and driving to your location only to be turned away. We will not be back.

This my second time here and let me share that this my new favorite sushi spot in miami it's a nice Peruvian twist yet have very traditional sushi taste that's hard to find. Highly recommend coming the service is great and the ambiance is nice very great place for a lunch or dinner. I had the same server and he was great Rodrigo

This was our first visit. We loved the menu, great selection of sushi and a lot with a Peruvian twist. Two of our favorite foods! For appetizer we tried a tiradito. The fish was very fresh and it tasted more like a ceviche because of the sauce. We had the Ocean Pearls, it was delicious. The scallops perfectly seared on top of Peruvian Causa and a side of rice (we had the fried rice). We also tried the Oboko roll, it was very good and very large! The service was very good and the restaurant inside is very nice and larger than I expected.

We came to Miyako in Doral because we were craving some ramen and we happened to be in the area. This review is ONLY regarding the ramen, we did not try the sushi. In my opinion, both my boyfriend and I thought the ramen was very veryyy salty, too salty at that. The broth was drenched in salt, it was almost inedible. The noodles were way too thin, not like the authentic ramen we've had elsewhere. I barely touched my $18 entree and left hungry if im being honest. If youre looking for good ramen, look somewhere else. Other than that, the restaruant was clean, there was a lot of parking. The dinners vibes were good, lights were dimmed, they even have japanese-styled booths. Our waitress was nice, nothing out of this world. I would come back to try the sushi, but not the ramen.

All these rolls were 10/10!!! Full of taste and protein!!! They were all full of flavor that no extra anything was needed! The restaurant itself is cute, you can sit on the floor and have a traditional lunch or regular tables. Can't wait to go back !! Service was good!

Fusion gem in the wall. Went in with the intention of trying sashimi for the first time and left not only checking that off my list, but duck as well. Although not an official item on the menu, it is up-and-coming. Crispy Duck breast with mashed potatoes and a citrus sauce will make your taste buds extremely happy. The unique "Miami"twists on sushi was unexpected and very fun. Guava with tempura shrimp (Tempura Tetaki), and we cannot forget about the banana foster dessert . They also offer happy hour specials. Small space, with quick and friendly service. Parking was also very good as I know the Plaza can be busy.

I genuinely don't understand how Miyako Sushi is still open because this was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The food tasted unbelievably fishy in the worst possible way, like it was nowhere near fresh, and every roll was bland, sloppy, and honestly disgusting. Nothing had any balance or flavor--it felt like zero effort or care went into anything we were served. Then the biggest joke of all was the check: we only ordered 2 rolls, sashimi, and edamame, and somehow the bill was over $140. Completely absurd for food that tasted this bad. It's honestly embarrassing for a sushi place to serve food like this and charge those prices. Do yourself a favor and close down so you can stop scamming the people who go here!

We actually came for the Joto x Miyako tuna cutting event and had an excellent time. First time ever being at Miyako and would definitely be back. The space was beautiful, the service was phenomenal and the fish was fresh, delicious and served in unique ways that kept you wanting more. The ONLY reason I gave a four instead of five is because the service between bites was way too long. We had to sit and wait for each dish. I know it was the restaurants first time in the realm of cutting fresh tuna and serving dishes, so I would definitely come back again and check it out in the future for regular service!

Cozy, family style restaurant, great service. Extensive menu including sushi, Japanese, and Korean style dishes, they also offer Lunch specials. The Shishido peppers are amazing, generous portion. We also had steam & fried gyoza, delicious. I had the Bulgogi steak with rice, scrumptious. Their vegan bowl is amazing too!!

Food was great! The best calamari I have had!!!! The breading was perfect! The ambiance is lovely. Quiet and quaint. I loved the little tables to the side where you sit on an elevated floor. We didnt sit there but I will definitely sit next time I go. I will say, when we went there were not many people and we were not greeted for a while when we sat. But the waitress was sweet and attentive afterwards. The lemon mint and the other specialty drinks were awesome! My son is now asking for lemon mint water at home. Although mine isnt as good as theirs lol. Not quite sure what magic they added to it! I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a quiet place and good food!

If you expect decent Japanese food, then this is definitely not the place. I'm not talking about quality michelin Japanese food, but this is not even close to it unfortunately. I got the blistered shishito peppers, it tasted decent because literally it's charred and salted. You really can't screw it up. For entree, I ordered the ramen ($17). It's a rainy day outside so why not? When it was served, I had a sip of the broth and surprise surprise, it's INSTANT RAMEN, not Japanese Ramen you'd expect from a Japanese ramen place. I think it's very irresponsible of the restaurant to not clarify that and very misleading. They just added some carrots, onions, eggs (which isn't even the Japanese marinated soft-boiled egg as you can see).

I did not know this place existed! Let me rephrase that, I've passed by it several times without knowing it was there. And it was Yelp that helped me discover this popular and well-known spot several sushi dishes. I did take a risk here by not ordering sushi from the menu. I decided to go with the ramen soup since I was in the mood for ramen and it was a little underwhelming and not as salty which I really appreciate but the flavors were absolutely lacking. Another reason why I decided to go for the unusual selection here is because I did order an appetizer of the rocoto shrimp which was presented inside wonton chips and greens which was pretty cool and new to me to try out. I did find the lettuce to be quite dry but adding just a little bit of soy sauce dressing made it amazing, it was the missing component in an already amazing dish. Really enjoyed the appetizer and the service which were the highlights of this stop to Miyako Doral.

We came here for lunch after running some errands near by. We were greeted right away when we walked in. We sat at a table with a tatami style seating. It's not common and it was a nice change considering we just came back from Japan. We ordered a starter, the sea treasure bowl, and a sunomono bento. The appetizer we got was one with fried rice ball on the bottom topped with a salmon, avocado, and fish roe. And crunch of the rice ball was nice but the toppings gave it flavor. But I wasn't too thrilled with it. Even my husband's bowl and my bento were also only ok. My sunomono was a bit bland. I actually had to ask for kimchi sauce to spice it up a bit. Overall, it was an ok experience.

You have to pay to park, but it's only a dollar an hour so it wasn't bad at all. I was told this food hall gets really busy on weekends and for dinner, but we went for lunch. Inside they have a bunch of different bars and different food options basically any type of food you could imagine. They also have lots of different seating arrangements so if you want to sit on high tops, low tops, bar seating, swinging chairs, they have it all. The food that stuck out to me the most was someone had a bento box and I wanted to give it a try. They have lunch specials, which is also a nice addition. The bento box came out fairly quickly and looked delicious. I thought it was pad Thai, but it definitely was not pad Thai and did not taste like it either. But the sushi roll, ginger salad, fried dumplings were all delicious! The noodle dish wasn't terrible but it wasn't what I wanted. I definitely would love to come back to this food hall. I'm not in Doral very often but when I am back, this will definitely be a spot I wanna go to. I highly recommend this spot if you are in the area. We don't have many variety food halls like this in South Florida so I highly recommend supporting them.

I found it while in Miami a day early before a cruise and craving ceviche--one of my favorite cuisines that I first discovered here. The price point was great, parking was free (huge plus), and the service was wonderful. I had a great glass of wine and ordered the ceviche sampler, which was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Each one had distinct, delicious flavors. I left fully satisfied and very happy. If you're looking for excellent ceviche in Miami, this spot is definitely worth a visit. I review this place with mixed feelings…read more The food was great tasting, good portions, and even better pricing. The service was great and attentive - they even remade my iced tea 3 times until I was satisfied. Unfortunately, my luck ran out when I ordered a dish called 'Jalea' which is a breaded and fried mix of different seafood and fish, which for this place was largely just fish with a few calamari and muscles. This is where I think I inadvertently met my enemy - the muscles were breaded too and one of them was completely closed and wouldn't open - I remember telling my friend, fate is telling me to attempt any further to open this muscle because it might not be good. And I left it alone; unfortunately it was a for-telling sign of things to come in my future. Fate definitely warned me, but it was too late by then as it was the last piece of the muscles that I avoided while chowing down on all others. I think they might not have been fully fresh and the breading and seasoning masked their betrayal. That was dinner at 9p, and at 4a I woke up with my stomach telling me is was time play game of thrones, except the throne I was reaching for was the white throne. There I was king of the hill for the next 3-4 days. So as much as I liked the place (ambiance was standard) for taste and value, this unfortunate event overshadowed any possibility of me ever coming back to those lands. May the force be with you when visiting this place: "when you play the game of thrones, you win or you die" and I like my life, for now
