I can't explain how truly good the food was here! The food was phenomenal, absolutely priced to move, and the entire shop smells of the riches most delicious smoke in the entire world. Be aware, tap pay is not on offer but the potato salad alone makes it worth the trip. Local desperately under appreciated bistro with outstanding quality and value. Okay so this made my first time going in this place. first time I have seen this place around town, and I have been here for 3yrs. Me and My mom ordered a steak sub and a turkey sub. I agree too much MAYONNAISE. But how are you going to properly heat meat for a sandwich if you microwave it?? The sandwich was good but soggy from the tons of mayonnaise they out on it. The service was okay but could have been a little faster... The atmosphere was quiet. The place was empty for it being so popular... This was my first and last time to going to eat here... I will take my business elsewhere. And my closing comments on here is not the owner but the other lady that was in the which looks older then the own... which could possible be her momma... How many times does a customer have to ask for very little mayonnaise??? It is gross to bite into a hot ham and cheese and bite into sooooo much mayonnaise it fills up your mouth. Every time I go to get a hot ham and cheese, I ALWAYS ask for very little Mayo. Today I was disappointed again because I repeated myself three times letting the young lady know I don't like all the mayonnaise that they put on their sandwiches. I even said, she could put it on the side. In all the years I have been getting food from DR, I ask for very little mayonnaise. I stopped going there for a while because of the same issue but I like the food. Honestly, the only person who has actually listened to me is a young man (sorry I don't remember his name) who paid attention to my request. I have eaten the Dagwood sub for years and love it . I was working and had a short break so I called and ordered the Dagwood NO MAYO NO NO NO Sherry repeated Dagwood no mayo needed when. 5 min away . I get back in bus and off I go to later have a bite.. dammmit yes Mayo uzzzing I should have just taken it back even if next day but I'm hungry so I'll wipe away Mayo OH I CAN'T I wasn't given a napkin . I have paper towel on my bus so I do the best I can and toss 1/2 sub away.. less than 2 hrs later I'm dumping my guts all eve Lordy .. should post that pic also What if I was allergic to egg not that this industrial strength stuff had any real ingredients .. read more

Giving this place 3.5 stars. Not a bad sandwich shop for P-burg. Cheap, quick and easy makes it pretty hard to complain about much. The sandwich meat is good and is also smoked on-site. Since Third Street Deli closed this is the next best spot in town for subs. read more

Thank is the sandwich shop to go to in Parkersburg. Really good sub rolls, fresh meats and cheeses, a lil heavy on the condiments but I'm good with that. Tasty reuben, too. Fast service. This lunch is delicious and doesn't give you that lousy fast food feeling after you eat it. read more

Nice touch of big city deli meats in Parkersburg. I had the pastrami sub without lettuce and tomato. It wasnt the best pastrami I've ever had but impressive for here in Parkersburg. I've traveled to NYC, Montreal, Chicago, Europe, and other places and tried world famous smoke meats and Das Rookhaus reminds me of those places. Definitely i will come back for more. read more

I've followed Sherry across all of her locations over the past decade or so, and I'm officially done. Something in the restaurant is always broken, most usually the air conditioning unit in the middle of a summer heat wave making the restaurant 90 degrees inside. On my most recent visit the toaster oven was broken, meaning the female employee (not Sherry) nuked my sandwich in the microwave making it a soggy limp mess. Said female employee had extremely long fingernails to be working in food service with bare hands, and I noticed that the sink was never used to wash her hands between taking money and making sandwiches for the next few customers following me. To top this all off, when all sandwiches were made, this employee went over into to the storage room right beside the dining area to smoke a cigarette. Honestly, how does the health department not shut this place down? read more

I have happily followed Sherry and her delicious subs from her Traffic Circle location, to the hole in the wall under the NET, and now to her new place on Dudley Ave over the years. She undoubtedly makes the best subs in town with superb smoked meats and cheeses, and at a reasonable price too. Her new location is the best yet, but I noticed about a month ago that her air conditioning wasn't keeping up. She was advising customers she was having a problem but to basically suck it up...she wasn't about to fork over the money to go fix it anytime soon. Haven't been in there until this week and I instantly notice that it is quite a bit warmer inside than it is outside. No kidding: 86 outside and 92 displayed on her thermostat! I didn't mind getting my sandwich to go, but sometimes I want to sit down in a restaurant and eat instead of going back to work and eating at my desk, or spilling sauce all over myself and my seats while I eat in my car. Just hope she decides to bite the bullet and get her A/C fixed before she loses all of her customer base! read more
