Had to come back and try new things! I highly recommend the pandan refresher. I've always had pandan with something milky or creamy so I was kind of hesitant on trying this, but I am so glad I did. Out of the best ube lattes I've had, this one byfar having the best sweet ube flavor and cream. I enjoyed that there was so much ube cream at the top - it was soft and on the slightly thicker side. My boyfriend liked his thai latte, though the espresso did feel on the stronger side for me. He did like my ube drink more and so did my friend, it's a 100% approval rate from us! I've been here so many times. Sadly, the taste of their matcha drinks is always pretty inconsistent. Some days, I can slightly taste the matcha. However, other days all I can taste is milk, no matcha. Personally I think they need to fix their matcha to milk ratio. Also, they charge an additional $1.50 for their ube foam, and barely put any of it in the drink. Not worth the additional charge imo. Parking can be difficult cause the lot is tiny. Sadly, I think this will be the last time I come here since I can just drink milk at home instead of spending $8.50 for it here. Service is okay and ambiance is fine. Another coffee run at the east of LA brought me to Dash coffee bar. It was probably high 90s in temperature amidst bright sunny day, which might be unpopular, but wasn't my favorite kind of day. It was surely perfect moment for iced coffee and Dash's pretty unique selections got me hitched. First cup gotten was their number one favorite, Pandan Latte, which as the name described featured their Pandan-infused house-made syrup. The coffee was nice with a little bit acidic kick, but I would say I wished the Pandan flavor could be bolder. Overall worth trying out of curiosity. Other favorite I opted for was their Sweet Cream Cold Brew, which I actually would rated slightly higher compared to the first cup. The cold brew was pretty smooth and the cream balanced the taste well, though if I could I might want it to come in thinner texture. It could be an option for you who fancied bit touch of sweet creamy taste in your cup of joe. One watchout was the place got pretty busy during weekend with limited seats inside. The ube brownie was from a bakery in Alhambra and they sold it near the cashier. Highly recommend! The banana bread was delicious too. They have plenty of outdoor seating so I can bring my dogs and sit in the sun. They also sell snacks that are Asian themed/flavored (?) so it's fun to look through their display.
