    Pax loved to hike.

DASH brought my boy Pax to me 13 years ago. Very easy pickup. He was already vaccinated chipped and crate trained. Best dog I've ever had. I had to let him go yesterday but I am so thankful to DASH for bringing him into my life.

I have adopted 2 dogs from DASH Dog Rescue; both are everything the info said and thats very rare ive found for rescues. Last year my parents adopted a DASH Aussie and my sister just got her own house - we are def DASH FANS!

We adopted from Dash two years ago and wanted everyone to know that it was a great experience. Our Ranger is by far one of the best dogs we have had. He came in a puppy with the markings of a heeler, but as he grew we think part hound or bird dog. For anyone with a little experience in rescue or adoption there is no real way to know the full growth of a pup. I would not trade this dog for anything. If you are in the market for a companion please check out the adorable dogs at Dash. It takes a village to save these precious dogs.

We lost our beloved Aussie after 15 1/2 years and I was devastated and wanted another one but wanted to adopt since so many pups need good homes. I contacted DASH via Facebook messenger and told them exactly what we were looking for and offered to foster or adopt. They found us the PERFECT guy. We love Ranger like he's been with us forever. I'm very picky and had several stipulations and they listened to everything. The communication, pick-up, foster and then adoption all went very smooth. I have recommended them to several friends who are looking for a companion. I can't speak highly enough at how well they made sure our sweet boy was the right fit for us.

I greatly enjoyed this process and Sherri is a wonderful foster mom to the puppies! I saw Chip online and I had to see if he was still available! Sherri messaged me literally 20 minutes after I put in an application. She was very flexible with meeting times and I got to come see Chip and his brother the same day! We played with him and he was so cute and fluffy! He is a mix Border Collie. I greatly recommend Dash Dog Rescue.

For context: this happened 9 years ago back in 2017. I am finally writing a review about this…read moresituation because it still BAFFLES me to this day. We still crack jokes about this situation at any given time. At the time I was 13 years old and my mom and I were looking for a small dog to adopt. We were browsing shelters all around DFW trying to find the perfect fit for our family. We stumbled across Second Chance and decided to take a look at their small dogs, and that's when we found the cutest little brown Chihuahua! She was perfect, super adorable and amazing temperament. My mom and I instantly fell in love with her and were practically begging to fill out the adoption application. Once one of the adoption counselors sat down with us, she asked us basic questions (have you owned a dog before, was the dog spayed/neutered) etc! Basic questions that we easily had the answers to. Then the lady informs us that the little dog is heartworm positive, and asks us if we know what that is. Well yes we do know what heartworm is! She then asks if we have ever had experience with a dog that is heartworm positive. (This is when it gets absolutely ridiculous) My mom, thinking she was adding important insight and HOPING to inform the counselor that we will in fact actively treat her condition, said that she did have experience with a heartworm positive dog.....WHEN SHE WAS 5 YEARS OLD. IN MEXICO. IT WAS HER FATHERS DOG. My mom, at no fault of her own, once again let the counselor know what this was literally 25-30 YEARS AGO. And it technically wasn't her dog. She just grew up with this dog and knew that when her father first adopted it, it was heartworm positive. And of course they treated and cured the dog of heartworm as well! But, it didn't matter. The lady took the little dog out of my hands and said they don't adopt to anyone who has had a dog in the past that was heartworm positive. My mom was baffled and once again tried explaining that it wasn't her dog. They didn't care. I was sooooo upset and honestly I was mad at my mom for even saying anything but in retrospect it wasn't her fault. That rule is absolutely ridiculous especially if it apparently counts towards when you were a child with no autonomy over what animal happens to be in your life. I don't know if they still operate like this, but do yourself a favor and just go to Operation Kindness. A million times better and amazing customer service as well. This is where we ended up finding our new member to the family, Bella! This place definitely has first come first serve on animals but with their STAFF (as seen in other reviews posted) and they make it very obvious by the insane rules and "criteria" they use for adopting out a dog/cat. I am 22 years old now and still would not recommend.

Yvette is very rude and I felt I was being lied to about the dog I was wanting to adopt. I filled…read moreout the application and communicated my interest. After meeting up with Yvette I was given 8 hours to make my decision. I asked if I could see Nachos vet records with no reply. That was already a red flag. I took a day to think and I was ready to adopt. Yvette said he was no longer available, however he remained on the website. When I mentioned this she did not respond. I showed up to the adoption event the next week and there he was!! I feel if they truly cared about the animals they would be accommodating and work harder to rehome. Overall, I believe Lost Paws is running a sketchy business. The whole interaction with Yvette was very off putting. My heart breaks for Nacho as I was ready to adopt and give him a great new home and all the love!!

I contacted this "rescue" about a dog we were interested in for our daughter. She responded to my…read morefirst email and claimed the dog we were interested in had a family coming to look at him. However, he remained on their website. I contacted them again and was ignored. My daughter went to their rescue event at Petsmart that weekend and the dog was there for adoption. My daughter inquired about adopting the dog and she was totally ignored and was never contacted about the adoption. In fact, the owner blocked her. I have no idea what her issue was. I feel if she actually cared about the animals, she would do everything possible to get her dogs adopted. We are dog people. My daughter showed dogs in 4-h. We have always had dogs. It's just crazy how this woman is treating potential customers because we're not her first bad review. It makes me question her motives.
