Came here on a nice sunny day and had a flight of the red wines and a glass of zin. The pours are pretty generous so they didn't skimp out! It was easy to find parking and you get a great view of the sf bay.

Pam is amazing, this place is amazing, came here for a wine tasting and their pour is legitimately like any other wineries, we went next door to urban and was mistreated, will definitely come back to this place again.

I've had their delicious wines before. Awesome Zinfandels with grapes from the amazing Alexander Valley. I love the old vine, Zins. And they also make cider which they haven't made in some time. I am eagerly waiting for it to return. Every contact I had was pleasant, informative, and welcoming. Super employees. I can't describe how amazing the location is for their outdoor seating so you will need to see my pics. And adventure at least. Food trucks at the weekends. Yaay. But the bay view of the city is winner.

Beautiful winery, beautiful views, great service! Went there on a hot Saturday afternoon and it was great because you could feel the sea breeze and there was plenty of shade. We were able to easily make a reservation online the morning of our tasting. Upon arrival we were greeted and seated outside right away. They do specialize in Zinfandel's so if that's not what you like, this may not be for you. I mainly drink cabs and Chardonnay but I enjoyed many of the Zins being offered. I will be back!

What an adorable little tasting room! Dashe Cellars is nestled a couple blocks away from Jack London Square just a few doors down from Nido Restaurant. I dropped by one afternoon while doing to an Oakland wine walk in Jack London Square. The tasting room is located in a small warehouse and has that rustic yet casual feel to it. It's nicely decorated with the cutest light fixtures, and you'll have a wonderful view of their wine barrels as you sip on their wines in the tasting room. They also have a wine garden but it was closed when I went (it's closed during the winter time). They hosts several events throughout the year and I'm looking forward to attending one when the weather warms up again. All of the wine stewards that I encountered were exceptionally friendly! Scott and Jose in particular were really fun to chat with and they were very knowledgeable about all of the wines that they poured. A tasting costs $15 and includes 5 tastes from their current tasting menu. The fee is waived with a bottle purchase of $35 or more. As for their wines; they're pretty damn scrumptious! What I enjoyed most about their wines was that many of them were grown in different AVA regions! They had wines from Dry Creek Valley, Mendocino, Alexander Valley, Sonoma, and even Antioch of all places! And the best part about it was that they all tasted wonderful! They are known for their Zinfandels and rightfully so. Their Mendocino Zinfandel was fruity, jammy, and had a nice touch of spice to it that I absolutely adored! I love tasting in the Anderson Valley/Mendocino area, so it's surprise that this Zin was my fave of the bunch. They've also got a nice assortment of cheese, charcuterie, and light snacks to pair along with those lovable wines. I really had a wonderful experience here! If I were to nitpick about one thing, I would just mention that some of the sommeliers were a bit too pushy for my taste. I worked in the sales industry for many years, so I get it. However, some people might find this a little uncomfortable. If you want people to continue to come back, you might want some of your wine stewards to tone down the aggressiveness just a tad. Other than that, I'm sold on Dashe Cellars! Looking forward to returning again very soon.

First visit to this location. Nice outdoor space and we liked the options to try different flights. When we return will likely get a bottle and enjoy the day!

Found this winery during a wine stroll with the assistance of some highly rated Yelp reviews, (thanks, y'all!). We enjoyed their selection, particularly their Comet, a delicious red blend. While we were there enjoying a tasting in their large and spacious room, we happened across a flyer for their Annual Paella Fest which was to take place on a few weeks from our current visit. We quickly pre purchased our tickets as it was explained they have sold out in the past and it was by rsvp & advance sale only. They had me at Paella! And paired with some powerhouse wines, we were definitely highly anticipating the event! Left there with a couple bottles of Comet. Fast forward to the big event! So glad we ore purchases because the line was wrapped outside the building prior to the start time of the event. We were all finally greeted and were given a glass to keep as we went around sampling barrel tastings, mingling with the diverse group of guess & enjoying fruit, cheese, nuts & meat pairings as we al anticipated the delicious smelling huge paella pans that the chefs were hard at work preparing. As we enjoyed these things, Flamenco dancers with artfully graced the stage with their dramatic & beautiful style dance! It was spectacular! I can't wait to go back this year for Dashe Cellars Paella Fest! Look into it, you'll be so happy you did!

TL;DR Dog friendly, nice wines, great service, cool atmosphere Located by Alameda Point, Dashe is kind of off the beaten path near the water. So, you can even see SF from there! They have a rather large area outside where, on a nice sunny day, you can sit and sip on wine and enjoy the view. Inside, it's basically a giant warehouse with barrels everywhere. Hubby and I shared a tasting for $15 which included 5-6 different wines. They waive the tasting fee with a $35 bottle purchase. (Their bottles range from around $20-40, give or take.) I actually really enjoyed most of the wines we tasted from here! We ended up leaving with 2 bottles. Definitely would come back with our dog! Seems like they host some special events, so be on the lookout for that too!

Excellent! Scott took such great care of me and ensured I had a memorable experience! The wines were superb and the location is unique, too, right next to the Naval Yard where the USS Hornet is located. Their style of Zins is brighter and crisper than their Lodi counterparts so if you're a steak/stew person and want to venture outside of Bordeaux blends/varietals, give Dashe a try!

Came here via Lyft which dropped me off in front of the brewery nearby. For context, this place is nestled in a work/live complex that features a few other restaurants. Depending on where you land, it can be a little tricky to find, but I managed and headed right in. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the lovely Bella who was incredibly kind and sweet. She made my time there wonderful! We gabbed, she gave me wonderful recommendations of food and drink around Alameda + she was so knowledgable about all of the wine in the bar. After a little bit of wine, I opted for one of the cheese plates. Truly great value! A few yummy cheeses of different varieties for around 25 bucks. It featured nuts, jam, and a giant pile of sliced bread. This was dinner and honestly could have easily been shared between myself and another person. I also tried the Vermouth spritz! I'm a huge fan of sweet Vermouth on ice, so this was a fun twist on one of my favorites. Perfect little Monday afternoon spent with Miss Bella at Vinyl wine bar! Incredible service, great food, and amazing wine! I will definitely be putting them in my wine bar rotation!

We are no strangers to wine bars and tasting rooms, not sure if that's good or bad. A nice very chill place for a glass of wine and snacks. Well maybe a bottle cause by the glass is a little high for Alameda. Some times a glass is what you want if your partner wants some thing different or you want to try a 2nd or 3rd glass of something different. We had a bottle of the Luberon for about $55. It was good. We both liked it and would order it again. We also had a cheese board with all the normal fixings which was great. Recieved "Best Wine Bar" in Best of Alameda ratings. But thinking about it sine Wine & Waffles closed years ago it may be the only wine bar left in Alameda. Yes, restaurants and bars serve wine but not the same thing. Lemon Drop came in 2nd on the list and they are hardly a wine bar. (No shade LD. You do great for who you are). Service was great and the lady who brought us all the goods was pleasant. Nice to see some people still understand hospitality. On initial visit going with a 4 with the right to upgrade on oir next visit which will be soon.

Once you're seated inside, you can imagine you're in just about any rustic wine region kicking back with some local wines and people. I did the sparkling wine flight. I really enjoyed what I tasted (see photo). I think because there was going to be a Georgian food pop up, the kitchen wasn't as it usually is. I had a little board of brillant savarian triple cream and salchichon salami. What a treat! The service was unusual. Part of it is that it's a wine bar and shop. The person staffing the bar was really busy doing many different things. As that was the case, interacting felt a bit strained. At the same time, considering how much she had going on, she kept it together. I appreciated that she kept track of who was next. Something that stood out to me was how reasonably priced the wines are. Great "bang for the buck." I see myself being a regular.

There's nothing NOT to love about this place!…read more I made a reservation for date night, as we've wanted to try this place for awhile. The atmosphere is cozy and casual and the service staff are really friendly. In terms of food, we started with a dozen oysters, the smoked trout dip, and the boquerones. The smoked trout dip was outstanding!!! Loved the flavor of it! The Boquerones was also delicious... the oysters were all fresh and can be ordered with horseradish and hot sauce (I think it was Crystal). For mains we ordered the steamed mussels and the grilled shrimp. The mussels were good, though on the smaller side, and the shrimp was delicious, buttery and garlicky. Great combo! To finish I had the Key Lime Pie which was done in a bowl. Great lime flavor and not overly sweet. Overall, a fantastic experience and we will definitely return!

Update: I waited over two weeks hoping Salty Pearl would honor its promise. Instead, I got silence…read more The only thing "salty" was the customer service. If you read other 1-2 star reviews to will find that the owner has a pattern of blaming and harassing customers for their honest reviews instead of having accountability. Thankfully, my bank refunded the charge. Ironically, the best customer service I received came from the company processing the payment--not the restaurant. If accountability matters to you, dine elsewhere. After spending nearly $300 to celebrate my birthday, I had hoped the owner genuinely wanted to make things right. The follow-up was even more disappointing than the birthday lunch itself. After my original Google review, the owner publicly wrote: "Please email me directly... I'll comp your entire meal, no questions asked." I reached out exactly as requested, thanked him, accepted his offer, and asked what information he needed to process the refund. Instead of receiving a direct response, the conversation shifted to why I had posted a public review before contacting the restaurant privately and how it affected his business. I wasn't looking to debate my experience--I was simply taking him up on the offer he had publicly made. I followed up with one straightforward question: whether the promised comp was still on the table. Despite following up, I never received a direct answer. I understand that restaurants don't have to refund every unhappy customer. What changed my rating from 3 stars to 1 star wasn't just the disappointing birthday lunch--it was the difference between the public promise and the private follow-through. For me, how a business handles a complaint is just as important as the original dining experience. ---- I chose The Salty Pearl to celebrate my birthday and left feeling pretty disappointed overall. When making my reservation through OpenTable, I noted that it was my birthday and requested a stroller-friendly table. Unfortunately, neither request seemed to be acknowledged. Similar to what other reviewers have mentioned, there was no recognition of the birthday celebration at all. As a parent, I specifically requested a table with space for a stroller. Instead, we were initially seated next to a large party with virtually no room for one. When I brought this up, I was told to leave the stroller at the other end of the restaurant, which wasn't practical since I needed easy access to my baby's essentials. To their credit, they eventually moved us to a different table, but the interaction felt reluctant rather than accommodating. The service was also extremely slow throughout the meal. While I don't mind dishes arriving one at a time, the pacing felt excessive. There were long stretches of waiting between items, and we frequently had to flag someone down for assistance. The bartender wasn't particularly friendly, which added to the overall experience. The final straw was dessert--we waited so long that we eventually canceled it and left. As for the food, it was a mixed bag. The clam chowder was good, and I enjoyed the Caesar salad. The dressing was light and well-balanced, though I didn't think the extra $8 for the sardines was worth it. The lobster roll was underwhelming, especially given the price. The tuna crudo was just okay and noticeably smaller than it appeared in the photos, and the ceviche was missing hot sauce. The steamed mussels were decent, but the focaccia served alongside them felt like the wrong choice. A crusty sourdough or another crisp bread would have been much better for soaking up the broth. The focaccia was simply too soft. We also ordered the "$12 oysters with the purchase of a bottle of wine" special. After doing the math, I'm not convinced it's much of a deal. Overall, I came in with high expectations, especially after hearing comparisons to Little Shucker. After trying both, I'd choose Little Shucker every time. The food there is more flavorful, portions feel more generous for the price, and the overall experience exceeds expectations rather than falling short of them. Unfortunately, what should have been a special birthday dinner ended up feeling underwhelming from both a service and value perspective.

We just spent $178 on some great drinks and food, but the most lasting memory is the cloud of cigar smoke wafting over us. And then arriving back home, we found our cloths reeked of cigar smoke. The strange thing is they apparently allow cigar smoking outside where they serve food, yet they closed their door because of cigar smoke coming inside the restaurant? Really? There's no point in my reviewing food beyond just saying it was great. Everything just got tainted by smoke. And this from a group of guys who were not even eating but just watching the game outside on a tv in the restaurant window.
