Wow! I was genuinely surprised by how nice this restaurant was, considering the location. The inside is so nice! Beautiful wooden tables and colorful. I saw a stage setup, assuming they probably have live music on weekends? We came during lunchtime to celebrate my sister's birthday. It was busy but not too crazy. I will say, the service was pretty slow for the number of people in the restaurant. It took us a while to place an order for drinks and appetizers. I will break down everything we ordered -Pork Rinds: Very crispy, its tasty buy the portion size is a bit small for an app in my opinion -Calamari Rings: They were good, loved the dipping sauce that it came with - Beef Espetada: They bring out the beef on a big metal skewer. Once tableside, they spread garlic butter on the meat, remove it from the skewer, and serve it on a plate. This cut of meat was really tasty. It was my fav of the dishes I tried -12 oz New York Strip with fries and mashed potatoes: The steak is drizzled with chimichurri and a creamy white sauce. It's a good steak, really thick, so take that into consideration -12 oz New York Da Silva with asparagus and plantains: This steak is SMOTHERED in cheese. It was good, but its A LOT of cheese. The asparagus was yummy, I loved the taste of the sauce it was cooked in -Caesar Salad with Crispy Chicken: The salad was very fresh, very green. The crispy chicken is their chicken tenders, cut up. The salad and chicken were really good, but there was barely any dressing, and the way the lettuce was cut up made it very hard to eat with a fork. I would need to scoop my lettuce because the for wasn't picking it up. Definitely ask for extra dressing; they only drizzle the dressing on top of the salad -Homemade Quesillo: This is like a flan/cheesecake dessert. Textured like custard. This dessert was yummy -Da Silva Brownie: Nice and warm, solid brownie Carajillo: ¡BOMB! I love a good carajillo. I love how they added coffee beans to the ice, which makes the drink look so pretty Overall, I would recommend this place. I would recommend getting a reservation depending on the time of day. This shopping center gets busy in the evenings and on weekends. I have two complaints, however 1. Service was really slow. Even getting the bill took about 15 min after we finished eating 2. The charge for the birthday brownie, I would have thought the dessert would be free.

Diego was great! Gave good recommendations and had a great personality. Definitely will be back!

Not quite there ... Service and atmosphere: The restaurant looks very nice inside. Dark, modern decor with great layout and overall design. We had high expectations because of that. Service was okay. Our server was forgetful and we had to ask for what was ordered but not delivered. He was apologetic which was polite of him. Food and drinks: Menu items looked good on paper. Execution and taste wasn't there. The side beans came burnt and we had to replace it with other side. New York strip steak was cooked as requested but the texture of the meat wasn't good. $33 price point for the steak was too much given the quality and pricing from other restaurants around. Grilled chicken breast was borderline dry. Pricing: $$$ - we couldn't justify it given quality of food at the time of our visit.

Big and noisy but nice inside. Daily specials are a very good deal with soup/salad, entree and dessert included. Staff is accommodating and quite lovely. Food overall was fine. Had the rib eye for 2 and it was cooked well!!

Beautiful Christmas decorations inside: friendly staff. Ordered to go. steak was just OK with a bit too much fat, and the special salad wasn't very fresh. I was charged $14 for a virgin mojito

Halloween Decor. He greets you at the door.

First time at Venezuelan restaurant and I have to say it went pretty well. Only 1 hiccup with the kitchen, granted one of us had to have part of her entree to go. It was not the server, but the kitchen. The ambiance is a fun and family type place , but at 10:00 to 2:am they have a band and party atmosphere. Fun if you're looking for a late night spot. I would recommend this place to anyone near the Katy /I-10 area looking for a nice evening out.

Overpriced not worth it appetizers aren't worth it literally over charged us for them and and messed up most of our order and had issues with the order for my family I don't recommend them and will not be coming back

This is one of the best Venezuelan restaurants in the Houston area! LOCATION DaSilva Steakhouse is located in a centrally located restaurant strip mall in Katy (just west of Houston, TX) with plenty of free outdoor parking. The vibe has a sophisticated and family friendly feel to it. Common areas and restrooms were clean. SERVICE The service is professional, helpful and all staff is diverse and fully bilingual. MENU The menu offers quite a few options of traditional Venezuelan food. I ordered the special cachapa, pork rind (chicharron), fried arepas and the fried cheese. Everything was delicious! There is also a full bar with a few options of specialty cocktails. Overall, 100% recommended!

I haven't been to this spot in years. I forgot how good this place was!…read more Music is always popping here. I came in on a Friday night, and they had a live DJ playing. The music is a mix of EDM, Hip-hop, Rap, and R&B. They have tables and bar top seating. If you have a bigger group, I'm sure you can find a table depending on the time you arrive. There is a lot of seating. To start off, I ordered the Matcha Martini. It was STRONG omg, definitely a sipper, but it was so good. It was creamy and had a good matcha flavor. I love how they added matcha powder on top. For drinks, I also tried their espresso martini and Bubbly Pineapple. The espressos here are good, no complaints. The Bubbly Pineapple is so cute; it comes out with a bubble of smoke you can pop. The drink is very refreshing; it really tastes like pineapple. FYI, the drink has little black seeds, so if you don't like textures in your drink, maybe this one isn't for you. Also the drink came with a little frozen pineapple you can add to your drink once you pop the bubble As an appetizer, I got a dozen raw oysters and decided to add the $5 tobiko (fish eggs). Let me say, they were not stingy with the Tobiko, there was so much on my Oysters, I mean a lot! The oysters were good, and so was the tobiko, but I feel that with so much tobiko, it kind of took away from the oysters. Still good though, especially for $21 for the dozen with the tobiko! It was very filling I'm not gonna lie, I got pretty full with the oysters, but I still had to eat my entree As an entree, I ordered the Short Ribs, which came with rice and a side salad. I didn't think I was going to eat much of my entree since the oysters had filled me up, but I ate the short ribs down to the bone! Every single one of those ribs I devoured, no meat was left on my plate. I didn't have space to eat, but my stomach made space for this. 10/10 would recommend the short ribs, especially with the delicious sauce it came with. I think it's like a fish sauce 10/10 for food and drinks. Bonus: the staff here is really friendly. I really enjoyed my time here. I need to come more often for sure, this is definitely a Katy gem

Had no reservations anywhere on a Friday night but called GiAu Bar n Bites & they said come on in, we don't get our crowd till late night. It was fairly empty at 7:30p but by the time we left at 9:45p there were a few more ppl. Funny thing is, the age of most customers was 40-60s. The music is pumping loudly with no DJ but at 9p the DJ came in & took the music up another level! I think the older folks come out early & likely the younger people take over after 10 or 11p. ( I won't be able to confirm that theory cause I'll be home by then!) Food & services were good as usual. The bartenders do a great job check them out!

They acted giddy and happy to help us put everything together, reassuring us that they would be there to support us on our big day. That all changed the moment they got paid. On the day of the event, we only saw the owners twice, and neither time was to help us. When I walked up to the owner to thank him for having us, his response was completely unprofessional: "Are you kidding? This is for you, you paid for it." The only other time he approached us was to aggressively complain about someone taking up two parking spots--and it wasn't even one of our guests. They also explicitly promised they would check on us throughout the event to see if we needed refills on water or drinks. They completely ghosted. We never saw them, and our guests were left without service. It has been three weeks since the event, and we haven't received a single follow-up call or text to ask how things went. They got their money and completely checked out. Nice place, but terrible owners and even worse service. Never again will we book with them. Save your money and go somewhere where the staff actually cares about your business.

It would be worth trying if we were hungry and had a huge appetite. Hubby and I shared the tempura udon, the hamachi collar bento box, and he got some sashimi while I got the tamago and blue crab nigiri. The portions were big and generous and also reasonably priced. I like the udon a lot even though the broth was a bit sweet for me. The tempura was delicious and perfectly fried. The hamachi collar was a large portion but a bit dry. We're used to having hamachi collar that is more buttery than what we had at twenty five. The sushi was ok too. Wasn't the best we've had but we expected that so we weren't let down by the sushi. Overall the staff was very nice and attentive despite being busy. The restaurant was clean as well. I do enjoy the large parking lot they share with surrounding businesses.

Service was extremely slooooow... waited 45 mins for 4lbs of crawfish, asked for butter and a tray to put the shells in, they said yes and the cook never came back so I had to go get my own at the cooking area. Our server was lack luster and didn't seem like she wanted to be there. She didn't even come to apologize for the wait or that the food was coming. We had to ask for refills and napkins after waiting 15+ mins until she came back to the grass patio area. Crawfish finally came it was lukewarm and some had a fishy taste. Best part there was maybe 15 people in the grass patio area and 3 people at the inside bar. Customers were cleaning off the tables to sit, getting their own napkins and going inside to get drinks at the bar. A table in front of us declined their potatoes and sausage bc it took so long after their other food came out. Also, we wanted to order cheese fries but were told they weren't doing certain foods bc there was only 1 cook. Lol Place has potential but needs to be cleaned up (random kiddie pool next to the outside crawfish cooking area) , food needs to be refined, servers need to be retrained and customer service needs to be a focus.

This is really not that type of place. The menu is limited. We did order wings, poppers and fries. The wings were not bad. We got them first. The spicy leach wings were pretty tasty. Our fries came next. They were pretty limp. I asked about the poppers and was told they only have one air fryer so it takes time. The poppers did arrive and were crispy (good) and nice hot. My wife had one hell of a strong frozen margarita that had too much triple sec. The tequila content helped a little there though. Our waiter was seen a limited amount of times.
