My old Western Digital external drive that had my kids priceless pictures stopped spinning one day. Oh, the panic and sadness I felt that day! After talking to friends, making lots of calls, I found Data Mechanix and took my drive in. The drive head had gotten stuck and scratched the platter so there was some damage. Maria was very patient to work with my slow reading drive (took much much longer than ancipated) but she and her team were patient and recovered as much data possible with multiple replacement of the data head. I am a photographer and my External Western Digital hard drive crashed with ALL of my customers' photos on it. I was devastated. I am very happy with the service I received from DataMechanix. My external 3TB HD just stopped and would not mount. No indications of failure prior to or after the mishap. Their expert staff had to disassemble the drive and found a defective head with no indications of a head crash. Amazing. Western Digital new hard drive failed just before I could backup to secondary drive. Priceless pictures seeming lost forever until Data Mechanix recovered almost all of the pictures.
