This evening I had a night out with a sister and four nieces. (A party of 6 with 4 minors included) The food and food service provider (Melanie) were great. I spent a considerable amount and was thanked for my business by a nice manager. The only negative aspect to the night was the ending. I am neither an unreasonable person nor an uneducated person. I understand that the business can be penalized for having minors on the premises after 10:00 pm and were warned over the loud speaker and given ample time to leave. The issue I take is with the following conversation. At 10:15 pm I was approached by a manager. As he approached, I stated that were "heading out the door. " Instead of asking why I have not yet vacated the premises with the minors, he rudely stated that "Well taking pictures in a booth is not heading out the door." To avoid a confrontation I stated "We are leaving" and although our pictures were in the process of being taken, I ushered the party (minus my sister who is an adult) immediately out of the building. If the manager HAD asked why we were still there he would have found out that for the second time since we started the "redeem" process (at 9:45 pm) with our tickets, the toys received were damaged or not working and my sister was, at that moment, exchanging the broken toys for the second time. In this aspect the customer service received was very poor. Alternative options could have been given. Such as having the children wait in the car while he (being the manager) or my sister or I resolved the issue with the toys. This was my first time visiting Dave & Buster's and unfortunately, it will probably be my last. I will not spend hundreds of dollars to be rudely spoken to. read more

So now that I'm 21, I've revisited d&b a few times. First off, they changed their policy I believe. I was able to enter the premises back in January because a few of my friends were 21. Too bad they couldn't drink because I was with them. Sucks even more cause it was my friends 21st birthday. Anyways. Second, their menus, disgusting. Would it kill them to clean the menus once in a while? We came here for another friends birthday and the menus were sticking together and it was just gross. The drinks here are good though. Not amazing, but good. Finally, the games. They're okay. I do however make use of the photo booth that they have. And I like the PAC man game. But I'm not sure if they still have it. It's a fun game, esp when you play with family. Haha. It's just too expensive for me to load up the power card. This place is pretty good. All you do is just play games there. It is half off on Wednesdays, meaning that the games are half off. Sometimes the machines the machines have technical difficulties on some of the games but they can fix it in just a couple minutes. read more

I love arcade games. And hence I love D&B. It was great (unhealthy) food, and large drinks to go. I am a fan of their margaritas--the giant ones of course. It does close a bit early, but I suppose it is more family oriented. It's difficult to get here with public transit--you really need a car. We had to do a combination of T and taxi to get there. This D&B has all the typical games: whack-a-mole, DDR, table hockey, shooting games, racing games, basketball, etc. Definitely a great place for a fun night out or a birthday party. read more

Went here for the first time last night with my husband. It was a strange experience. You have to show id to walk in the door but then there are kids running all over the place. (Until 10pm) Saw this woman sucking down drinks at the bar in a short amount of time and saw her 5 minutes later playing with her kids at the games and pushing a stroller with a baby in it.. Then the guy told me I had to wait 45 MINUTES for food, I wish I could give 0 stars, but I can't. It's a small building with a lots of people squeezed in it, so some of the waitress are just so impatient and rude. Food and Arcade is OK.

To be fair, Dave and Busters is awesome in general as far as the game selection goes - which is why I gave it 3 stars. Whenever we actually sit down and eat, service can get a little iffy. Don't get me wrong, the wait staff/bartender(s) are SUPER friendly, but our drinks typically always go dry and we aren't really checked on a whole lot. They have game technicians walking the floor, which is great if a game breaks. These techs have always gone above and beyond to make my son feel welcome, giving him lots of tickets, prizes, etc. - they don't have a problem with customer service that's for sure. The one complaint I have is that they need to fix the machines you purchase game cards from. Half the time they're working, the other half they aren't. If it doesn't deposit money on your card, you have to very frustratingly walk up to the massive line at the front to have someone do it manually. Also, the winners circle should have the ability to combine the points and tickets from multiple cards, putting them on one card. As of now, you have to hike up front and have them do it. Again, you have to stand in a massive line. Let's fast forward to today. My son had his birthday party at D&B today and pretty much from the minute we walked in to the minute we left, it was very uncoordinated. When we walked into our party room, it was a huge surprise to see that we shared the room with another birthday party. Not a super big deal, but given that we dropped over 700 (seriously), we expected something a little more private. One parent even started eating our cake and took a game card only to find out he was actually supposed to be in the party on the other side of the room. Our party host came to greet us and explained that we would have party hosts attending to our needs. She also stated the food would be out in about 10 minutes, right in time for the actual party to start. About 20 minutes into the party, still no food. My husband went to ask our "hosts" and they apparently were waiting on us to let them know when to cater the food. Major miscommunication on their part, but still not a huge deal. No one really came over to check up on us unless we had to hunt them down and let them know our needs. Once we passed out the kid's game cards, there were a few that just didn't work. Yesterday was my first and probably last time here. My husband and I always have a great time when we take our son to arcades so I thought it would be a fun place to go to for our anniversary. We came in the afternoon to beat the Friday night crowds and started with food. The waitress got my order wrong and brought me something I asked about rather than what I ordered. By the time what I ordered arrived, my husband was already done eating. When we were done, the waitress asked if we wanted dessert. I did want dessert but I wanted to play some games first. She said that wasn't how it worked. You either had a table or you were in the arcade--you couldn't go back and forth--not exactly what I was envisioning but whatever. So we paid our bill and went to check out the games. We had so many issues that whatever fun we had was overshadowed by all the frustration we felt. The card readers on the games kept having problems reading our cards, so we would be trying to do things two player or at the same time, but only one of us could actually get their card to work. Some of the games didn't work at all--except to take chips off of our cards and others appeared not to work but actually did, so you would think it hadn't read your card and insert it again only to find that now you'd paid for two plays. I kept saying that all I wanted were some good old fashioned tokens. Since we weren't able to keep our table, once we were done with the arcade, we decided to go get dessert at the Cheesecake Factory instead. read more

Well that didn't happen... we waited an hour for the waitress to tell us "they lost a bunch of tables" and have to remake our food. It wasn't busy at all. Love the games - I need to say that before I begin the review. I love all the games. Their staff leaves MUCH to be desired. I've been here several times - it's always the games that bring me back. I always have to wait for a drink, wait for food, wait for anything that isn't related to the games. I went with my boyfriend on a Friday night, it was crowded but not terribly bad. We were seated in about 25 minutes, and ordered a water and a beer. It took over 10 minutes to get our drinks. We then ordered an appetizer, and we were brought it without plates or napkins to use with it. We had to ask twice and only ever got cocktail napkins and one tiny plate between the two of us. When our dinner came, we once again had to ask for a real napkin and silverware, and one of our meals was completely wrong. I honestly love coming here because it is so fun but every time I have been to the bar it is a constant wait for someone to ask if we need a drink and/or food. Bartenders will keep walking past us with empty drinks in front of us and won't say a thing until we try to flag them down after 10-15 minutes or so, and it isn't even busy. Which I think is sad because isn't that suppose to be their job?? Love this place. It's a fun venue for any size event whether it's a casual night out with friends or a big corporate party. It's got great food and an impressive size arcade. Only downside, the drinks at the bar can run a little strong. I ordered myself a Grey Goose and Tonic last Thursday night before my meal and it was awfully strong. We had a large group of about 70 high school girls. Our party manager was rude and unaccommodating. We called ahead since we were running late as we were traveling from out of state. We were assured dinner would be ready at 8. We got there at 7:45. At 7:56 we asked the catering manager where the food was she said "you said 8 it will be out at 8". We asked if we could at least get more salad in the meantime as our girls were on a bus for over 6 hours and starving. She said it was portion controlled and we could only have more lettuce. At 8:16 we were still waiting for food. The least she could have done was be up front and tell us to let the girls play games first. It was late, we were tired and the place was EMPTY!
