Terrible. Awful. No good experience. Lets preface this with I've never been to a D&B before, so I was excited for an adult playground. Unfortunately, I was greeted by about 100 screaming kids running everywhere. A far cry from their adult-themed ads that encourage drinking with adults watching sports and playing games. We were here for a 30th birthday party with personal bartender from 5:30-8:30. Come 6:30, and I still don't have a drink. There are only 20 people in this party. The free coffee that comes with the package? Nowhere to be found, which I guess is a common theme. From missing waitress/bartenders, games missing balls, eating tokens, not assigning tickets correctly (I mean, I played 3 games where I got 50 tokens/credits or whatever they call them and at the end of the day only had 132 on my card) - it's just a terrible ripoff. The food isn't good (though it's not really expected to be at a place like this so I'm alright with that). The drinks are high priced ($9 for a Blue Moon). Their card readers didn't work more than they work. And they scam money off of you by converting your dollars into a strange number of credits that not even the people who work here are able to explain to you. Bad UI on the readers encourages accidental continual plays. I could go on. But I won't. Come if you dare. If you do, temper expectations. Highly. It's a place that's likely better for kids who are bad at simple math. read more

I have been to dave and buster's plenty of times. Me my boyfriend and my friend decided to go to Dave and Busters on a Friday night. We decided to go a little after 9pm sincd the little kids will not be there. It was fun playing all the arcade and driving games. The basketball hoop game was also good too. We were there for about maybe 2.5 hours, you do not imagine how long you are there for until you realize how.much fun you are having. With having fun it does come with spending.more money. We probably kept reloading the card 5 times or more. I actually lost track but overall a good fun places to go fof kids and adults. read more

Nachos were freezing cold. Salad lettuce was bad. drinks didn't taste like they had alcohol and they didn't end up bringing the second drink. Kids cups with no lids so my daughter dumped A slush over herself and cried by the end. Couldn't find waitress to pay so went to front and that confused them. Many games broken or just eat your points. I live in Braintree so it's too bad but this branch needs work. Serious work. read more

Dave & Busters is a hit or miss when it comes to the food. This location is the closest to me. The place is fun but this is a smaller location. I've been plenty of times. They have really great drinks though! Very creative and tasty - not watered down at all. But like I said before about the food, there's times when it's really good and there's times when it's mediocre. The providence place location is a little better (I've only been once). read more

I've only eaten here once by the bar. It wasn't bad for a Saturday night. Not overpacked with people. Games are solid... I've been seeing more live app games there which I like. They have games for also all age ranges (5+). The place is spacious, bathroom were clean. Solid game spot... not too sure if I would go here just to eat though. read more

Went here on a whim because I've never been. Sat at the bar and got a small meal and drink. Food and drink are fine, no issues there. The bartender (chris, I think) oh man... he had about as much personality as a wet rock. Never asked how everything was, barely said hi, nothing. The flipside to this is, the arcade section was awesome. I don't think I'd ever go back there in a great hurry though. Recommendation: if you're going to have an establishment like this, get some staff with better personalities. It'll be much more inviting. read more

Normally when I come here, I come with my 3 year old and we just play the games. Compared to when they first opened I feel like there are less prize games now, definitely less claw machines compared to years ago. I recently came here Friday night for a dads night out. We sat down at 8:22pm, and waited and waited and waited for our server to show up. We finally saw Kayla at 9pm, she handed us menus, took our drinker orders and gave us a little bit too much time to look at it. She came back at 9:15 to take our orders, our drinks arrived around 9:30pm and our food 9:45pm. Awesome, it was close to 10:30pm before we were able to head over to play the little games they had. I read about the bad service before hand but man it's like it's their job to be this bad or something. I don't remember feeling this annoyed when we all came here years ago. The music was absurdly loud. NBA games were on but we could only hear the music videos. My throat was definitely hurting from all the yelling I had to do. I get it, it's a gaming venue, but music was louder than going to a club in the city. The food was okay, pricey for how little we got. I got the smashburgers with buffalo chicken. Sliders were fine, the buffalo chicken was disappointing, it looked like left over pieces from other orders tossed on the tray, legit looked like 4 small pieces of KFC's popcorn chicken smothered in buffalo sauce. I could have put all four pieces in the blue cheese sauce at the same time. I guess next time I'll just stick to gaming, no food, no drinks, the mall food court has bigger and better portions for much cheaper. read more

One of few existing arcades around in the area. Half price day was wonderful time to go, gets really packed during those days and ppv event days. Some machine can be occupied for hours during half price day, so if there a particular machine your looking to play go early.Typical days during the week is just normal size crowd. Restaurant food is actually decent, and the deals for play and food is great. My complaints it the cleanliness, cups can be scattered everywhere. Low staffing on busy days can feel like forever for orders and checks. Some games are always broken. Overall a decent place to kill a few hrs, this location only has games, bar and restaurant. read more

I have never took the time to post a review simply because I've never felt the need. If our service and food is excellent we reflect this in a generous tip and we let the server know it is appreciated. If the food or service is poor, we still tip but most likely would not return. After my family's experience at the Braintree's Dave and Buster's tonight, I am compelled to post this review and share my experience. We had a total of (6) people in our group and this was the first time my wife and I went to Dave and Buster's. We found the means of ordering difficult and cumbersome. After finalizing our order, we politely asked our server; Elynia to please make certain our appetizer was served before our meals, and she assured us that she would inform the kitchen. Our drinks came out relatively quick but I ordered a bottled water but received tap water and they delivered a coke which no one ordered, but we did not complain. A bit later, (4) meals were served around the same time, and I asked the server politely to check on the appetizer. The appetizer was then delivered, but of course after the meals. My son complained that his burger was cold, but again no complaints were made. About 20 minutes passed as the others finished their meals another meal was delivered, but this had onions when this was specially requested to be held. This meal was delivered by a different server, but this was quickly addressed and brought out. Another 15 minutes passed and our frustration grew as I waited for my meal. At this point, the appetizer was eaten and (4) people finished their meals an my daughter's meal was half done. My daughter called over Elynia and asked when we could expect the last meal to be delivered (mine) to which she responded that she would check but that she didn't "appreciate her tone". She then went off to serve others. We were all shocked by her comment and it escalated our frustration and anger. About 10 minutes later Elynia brought out my meal and literally threw it on the table beside me as I was turned watching the tv without a word. By the time I turned around she was already gone. He actions essentially pushed our entire family over the edge. My daughter requested the manager see us and he seemed much more preoccupied to be a server than a manager. Elynia was across from us serving others and when she turned back towards us we confronted her regarding her comment that she "didn't like our tone". There were some words exchanged but it became clear she could in no way justify her behavior or her comments. It was at this time someone who we assume was a "supervisor"interjected and Elynia departed. Her comment to her supervisor as she walked away; "if you want me to leave for the night that's fine." I explained to this person that I had never experienced such poor service and questioned what exactly we were paying for, to which this he told us no payment would be required. You can plainly see that this post took me about a half hour to write, but again I cannot stress enough how much I felt compelled to do so. What I find really confusing is that it wasn't even that busy during our entire (lengthy) stay. We were looking to eat and remain in the arcade as a family for the night. After this experience none of us will ever return to Dave and Buster's and we intend to warn others of this horrible experience. read more

This review is for Wedsnday afternoon around 4 pm. I love deals and fun and this place has it on Wednesdays. The games are 50% off and on that day I bought at unlimited 1 hour card for $10 that let me play to my heart's content (ticketless games). I was able to enjoy the 4D games, racing games, air hockey and so many other games without having to worry about my balance. Additionally, the food is amazing. Sounds weird coming from an arcade but I had a burger and fries and it was suprisingly - incredible. I would stick to the bar food and come before 6 pm because I noticed the atmosphere changed a bit. After 6 pm this place becomes a haven for dates and the bar gets packed making service a little challenging and less patient. Luckily my meal was around 4:30 pm and my food was made with love and care. I'll be back for sure but only before 6 pm, not on the weekends and not unless there's a promotion! read more

If there is a hell, the acoustics there probably sound a lot like Dave & Buster's. I've have never been to another of these places other than the one on Braintree, and unless I lose a bet and that's part of the deal I never will. It is just OBNOXIOUS in this place, all the different arcade games blaring their sounds at the same time, I'm pretty sure when they were interrogating terrorists at Gitmo they used a soundtrack of the background noise at Dave & Buster's to break their will. We were a party of 7 on a Thursday night (4/14/2022). It wasn't busy AT ALL. It was my son's birthday so we had balloons, cupcakes ready to go. Our party was seated at a booth at 5:15 opposite the bar seating area. We waited over an hour for our food. I understand times are bad right now, everyone is short handed. We were super patient and understanding. When our food finally came out, we were missing entrees and the fries were cold and over cooked. This was brought to the attention of our server and it took another 30 minutes for the missing entree to arrive to our table. We didn't end up eating together unfortunately. Half of the food that was received wasn't eaten because it was cold. We didn't bother to keep flagging our waitress down because she was nowhere to be found. She didn't check up on us after she dropped of our food. The manager came out to drop off our missing food and we brought the service to his attention. He apologized and comped 2 of the entrees. That was decent on his part. Food wasn't good. Service wasn't any better. So needless to say, we'll only be playing games at Dave & Buster's from now on. Very disappointed. read more

Umm, did I seriously travel 3000 miles just to end up at a D&B? What a waste of a night out on the town, right? No matter how you look at it, all was not lost as I did have some sort of fun, making the best of killing 3 hours in Boston at a D&B of all places. Generally speaking, D&B at one time served as a decent spot for entertainment but gradually lost its appeal due to changes in reward system (no longer acknowledging Gold Power Card patrons), decrepit games/machines, and an influx of obnoxious patrons (at least these were reasons for me to ultimately halt tips to D&B)...all viable reasons to be less than elated to return. Thankfully, this location serves as a contrast to D&B's new norm. A brief explanation: - Every shooter game paired nicely with correctly calibrated guns that had buttons and triggers that actually worked! - Racers were a joy to ride with responsive steering wheels, pedals, and buttons. - Coin machines read cards and dispensed coins without incident. - Arcade games fully functional with working joysticks and buttons. - Hoops challenge games (Super Shot & Nothin' But Net!) with like new properly inflated balls and straight rims. Regrettably, we did not indulge in beverages or eats. Security personnel were cordial and swift. Overall, a highly favorable experience. Thanks for renewing confidence in your long-time patrons. And if management happens to read this, please relay to corporate that D&B's Gold Power Card program needs to be reinstated! read more

Based on the multitude of recent reviews here from early 2013, it doesn't shock me one bit of how horrific this place is. It's a damn shame 0 stars isn't an option because this place unequivocally deserves it. My buddy is kicked out on his girlfriend's birthday because his license was expired, even though he had another Mass ID that clearly displayed his birthday (which happen to be the same day; he's 26, believe it or not, he wasn't trying to pull a fast one!). This was AFTER he was let in originally displaying the same ID that he was then expelled for having. Comical. The same bouncer (who somewhat resembled mediocre NBA big man Chris Kaman) then later on accused him of stealing a wristband. Ok wristbands, to monitor who is 21 and who isn't? Hey 1998 called, they want their drinking regulations back! Furthermore the waiter screwed up our bill a bunch of times and didn't give us the right amount of game cards we ordered. How much more could this night be f'd up? We had a bunch of people there, a table reserved, my buddy's girlfriend's birthday and everything was ruined. I mean come on, it's a Dave & Buster's, everyone is there for fun, and THIS happens? This is INEXCUSABLE. A despicable display by everyone involved at the place. The bouncer told my friend later on they wouldn't let me back in if he came with his passport. Well Mr. Bouncer, I'd like to tell you on his behalf: he wouldn't comeback here at gunpoint to waste his time with you or his passport. Go flex your "Dave & Buster bouncer muscles" with some other schmo who you confusedly think cares about you or your job. I highly suggest anyone reading this doesn't give them any business either. After visiting a Dave & Buster's at Providence Place, I figured it would be just as great. Boy, was I wrong... I went here on an outing with my roommate and my boyfriend. We walk in and approach the host stand. Too busy to engage patrons, the hostess kept tapping on her iPhone, probably texting something like: "Girrrrrrrrl, I hate my muthafu*kin job! God I can't wait to finish cosmetology school!" Nonetheless, after gaining her attention, we were told we could seat ourselves, or have a seat in the dining room, for quicker service. QUICKER service? Yea, riiiight... So we were seated. And waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, a server approaches us and asks if we have been helped. "No" I said. "Okay, I'll be right over!" She said. We waited. And waited. She returned to take drink orders. After she rushed off, I had regretted not ordering the app. After what seemed like an eternity, she comes back, without drinks, to take our order. We tried the calamari. I ordered the Philly Cheese Burger. My boyfriend got the BBQ Burger, and my roommate ordered the Turkey BLT Burger. I was hungry, and noticed my burger was "NEW!" and "served with over a half pound of seasoned fries!" Many minutes tick by. Our server brings us our calamari and still NO drinks. She said the bar is busy, but other tables weren't playing the waiting game. STRIKE ONE. To our dismay, the calamari could not serve two people, or three that were at our table. The "frazzled" onions garnish seemed to outweigh the appetizer. We had about finished the app by the time a manager dropped off our drinks. To be honest, I forgot what drinks we even ordered, but I do know they had been sitting a while. And the drinks - so sugary and blah-zay at the same time. I believe my drink was some peach martini. It was under-poured (MAYBE 4-5oz) and making the mistake of drinking it quickly, I had to wait and wait to get another one. The burgers were served, also by the same manager. He noticed my empty glass. After seeing my boyfriend's BIG Long Island, it provoked me to get the Peach Long Island. So noticing a strange mini-deep fry basket, tipped over on my plate containing said "over half a pound" fries, I was immediately unhappy. I had the FEWEST fries of the table! Word to the wise - make sure your chefs know the menu. The "cute" and/or "nostalgic" mini-deep fry basket will NOT make me forget that I kinda got screwed. Nope. STRIKE TWO. By the time we finished the meal, which nearly took 2 hours mind you, due to service being THAT slow, no one at our table had any real desire to play any games after, which was REALLY the main purpose of our visit... Oh perfect! That drink I ordered FINALLY came! Wait...it looks NOTHING like the BIG LIT my boyfriend got! It's STILL in a 6 oz martini glass! Wait! It doesn't even taste anything like a peach LIT! Wait! Where's the waitress to tell her?! Ok. Forget it. STRIKE THREE - YOU'RE OUT! After we pay an exorbitant bill that didn't match the quality, the service, or its portion claims, I felt pretty ripped off. We all reluctantly go to the game area for about a half hour. $25 goes pretty fast here. In fact - I believe $25 goes wayyyy further in Providence. The games seemed somewhat cheaper to play...why is that? No. I will NOT be returning. No. I will NOT recommend. And no. I won't say ANYTHING good about this place. All in all - I regret this visit, I regret spending this money and I regret hearing "I told you so!" from my roommate. DON'T GO HERE! read more

I wish I could give this place no stars! My boyfriend and I went to D&B this weekend (Sat night) around 5 oclock to meet up with friends and celebrate birthdays. Before anyone else arrived he and I went to the bar. Atmosphere at the bar was fun and we both ordered drinks - mine was amazing, the banana split. Friends got there a little after and he and i had already put in our name for a table. They gave us a buzzer - it never buzzed.. Good things our friends heard them calling our name as they walked thru the door! We sat down - waiter came over about 10 mins later. Didn't intro his name, he did welcome us. But, after that he was complaining that he was a bartender and that they were low on staff then he proceeded to say "I hope you guys aren't splitting the bill 5 different ways". Oh okay buddy sorry to INCONVENIENCE you. He took our drink orders, bc i just had a drink at the bar I ordered a sprite. Took the kid at least 15 or 20 mins to come back with our drinks... he forgot my sprite and said "ill get that to you right away". Finally took our dinner order. Dinner comes probably 35-40 mins later, he never brought my sprite. They also didn't bring one of our friend's dinners and didnt even care when i brought it up. In the meantime, our friends had already gone up to the bar to get the next round of drinks seeing that we clearly weren't being waited on by anyone. We all waited for our friends meal to come before we touched ours - took another 20 mins. Finally it arrived and we ate, I got the bbq chick - just OK. Obvi it was cold at that point, plus we were all just annoyed. I had asked for a manger in the meantime to complain as well. In the middle of eating, ANOTHER PERSON brings over our friends meal - no communication, no nothing, TWO different ppl put in his order... IDIOTS. Finally around 7:30.. yes we sat down around 5:15. We went to go play. I'm not too into gaming so I bought the cheapest amount with the bonus $12 and it was enough for me. There was a good variety of games but not enough. We left around 10 or so and let me tell you there were still a MILLION kids there. I didn't appreciate all the kids and how crowded it was, but we went on a saturday, should i have expected anything different? Honestly the food was mediocre and the service sucked.... The restaurant had tables that no one was cleaning off, the arcade needed to be cleaned and vaccumed asap. Sounds like the one in Providence is Foxwoods (clean big and fun) and the one in Braintree (dirty, crowded, trashy) is Twin Rivers.... I won't be returning. read more

Imagine a mediocre New American bar & restaurant type of deal with a ginormous arcade inside and you have Dave and Buster's. The people were really awful, though. This location was my first ever Dave and Buster's visit. As we pulled up and got out of the car (parking was an easy find around 10 pm on a Saturday night) there was a very slight line out of the door, as Katy Perry and other white girl top 40 hits blared from the speakers. Upper middle-class blonde girls wobbling in heels up the stairs screamed along to the music and at the announcer who informed the crowd that all youth were to leave and the establishment would be 21+ for the rest of the night. "What? We can't play any ga-ames?" One of them screeched, ignoring the doorman's watchful eye and an ear-piece wielding bouncer looking dude. "Fuck Dave!" another chimed in. After they were quieted down by some beefy crew-cut "alpha male" of their group, who tried to explain that they had misheard the announcement, we were ushered in, carded (complete with a scan gun to make sure our IDs were legitimate) and braceleted. "Welcome to Dave and Buster's!" some quasi-waiter-host looking thing shouted at me and my boyfriend. "You guys want a table or something?" We made our way through the arcade to find our friends. I'm pretty sure I must have blacked out for a second, because I have no recollection of actually entering the arcade area. I just remember blinking and being like "uh, it's loud, flashy and bright all of a sudden." Tons of games, tons of fun stuff to do. I could tell that my Philly cheese steak was actually cooked and prepared, not sent freeze-dried from a Dave and Buster's factory somewhere. It was okay. I was STARVING and hadn't eaten since 1pm, so...that factors in to my review. The meat was kind of tough and there was an UNDER cooked mushroom. The grilled onions were also rush-grilled so there was a bit of bite to them, but maybe my mom over-grills onions so therefore I hold different standards. Would I go again? Maybe on Wednesdays or another weekday. I felt I was being judged for my flat shoes, casual blouse, cardigan and jeans. I encountered many girls walking around in stiletto spike heels and club-looking outfits. I can dress like that too, I just had no idea Dave & Buster's attracted that sort of crowd. "Points" take place of tokens and can be easily put on a debit-card sort of deal. It was like, $25 for a decent amount of "points" but a lot of the machines can rob you of an upwards of "9.9" points. Also, they blare top 40 throughout the place. The same top 40 that you will find exactly at a low-to-mid tier club in the city. The same couple songs every night, "We found love in a ho-opeless place," anything by Katy Perry, that one song that goes "ooh, I get a feeling, yeah" with the dubstep interlude and "TONIGHT WE ARE YOUUUNG." read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon around 3. Kids were swarming everywhere. I have been to a d&b before in California, and it was actually an "adult arcade." This place felt like an upgraded chuck-e-cheese. No, thank you. We didn't eat any of the food here. Games itself were fun. The winner's circle is tiny though. Having an army of kids everywhere didn't help with the already tight space. It is not that I do not like kids. If I go somewhere assuming it is mainly an adult only venue, then I go expecting not having to dodge kids with every turn. After an hour or so here, we couldn't stay much longer with all the kids taking up so much space. Only reason we would be back is to finish using up the points we bought. Seems like we need to come here after 7 pm once kids are in bed. read more

Okay first of all one has to realize that this is an *arcade* so the food, drink and service should be judged accordingly. I would avoid a place like this but I have kids so an occasional trip to DnB is part of life. Go on a Wednesday because the games are 1/2 price. They are very expensive otherwise. You can buy lots of "tokens" but every game charges a different number and your kids will burn through them very fast. While you are waiting the beers on tap are pretty good and you can carry it around the gaming area to watch your kids play. So you can watch them have fun and the beer takes some of the sting out of how fast the money goes. I don't think I would order food here (we never have) but it might work out. Seems like the other reviews range from horrible to great so maybe it depends on who is working the kitchen that day. Management obviously tries to keep staff costs to a minimum. The result is (surprise!) not fantastic service. It's a chicken/egg thing. The service is bad so people don't eat there. Since they don't get a ton of customers they keep staffing bare bones... and so it goes. The games are pretty impressive - not only are there many but quite a few are unique. There are some giant multi-player games I haven't seen anywhere else. You could probably stay an hour and not play the same game twice. If I were doing a party (kids or adults) I'd say eat and drink before you arrive, avoid the staff at the place and enjoy the games. read more

Where do I start with how horrible this place is. We purchased 6 bonus points play cards. Our total came to $150. I paid $25 with debit card and the remainder of $125 was paid with cash. The clerk, Destiny messed up with the manager Hightower sitting next to her by charging my card the full $150. Instead of explaining to me what she had did, she cancelled the transaction and recharged my card with $25. I did not find this out until the next day by checking my account. So now I have to wait for $150 to be refunded. I called the very next morning to speak with management and of course I got the run around. Finally speaking with manager Chad, he informed me I'll be getting an email that would explain everything, this was around 12:40p. 1:30, no email, 2:15 no email. I made several calls to speak with Chad but "he was in a meeting". Finally around 4:45p I spoke with manager Amy, you got caught in the lie that Chad had "left for the day", there's no email as such that she could sent, blah blah. As soon as I hung up, an email magically comes through from Chad with a transaction explain action. The same Chad who "left for the day". This location thinks that they can mistake a mistake, give me generic answers and I'll just fade away quietly, NO! I have the corporates information and will be calling this afternoon. Their service and the disrespectful way I was treated is unacceptable and I will not tolerate it. If their was an option for 0 zero stars, it would have been given. And to add the food took 45 minutes to come to our tables and our party of 25 asked for all separate bills, this did not happen. We had to physically go to the pass through registers and state what each of us had to get a separate receipts. Terrible! read more

Honestly, I didn't expect to have as much fun here as I did. I came with a group of friends, and really wasn't looking forward to the concept of going to an "adult Chuck E Cheese". However, this place exceeded all of my expectations, and by the end of the night, I actually found myself having a great time here. First, the games they have are pretty cheap. A $15/20 card will last you a few good hours. Second, aside from the typical arcade shooters and racing games, they also have a lot of interactive games like DDR, fruit ninja, trivia and a light game. Third, you can actually win tickets pretty easily (assuming you have some coordination and isn't a total klutz). Fourth, it really doesn't matter if you're good at games or not, because you're really here to have fun. Everyone around us was having a great time, just laughing and fooling around. This is an awesome place to come and just take a break from the responsibilities of your day to day life. The few hours I spent here really brought out my inner child, beckoning to days of carefree playfulness. read more

Shut it down-shut it down (Providence location is much better!). I visited this location with a XX chromosome friend and was greeted with a long line extending into the streets. That was not too bad-I suppose it is expected for such a "prime" location. However, I did not sign up to listen to conversations re: Tim Tebow's virginity from the Braintree residents. It can get quite crowded during the weekend. I also want to note that your Jump Rope game is broken. NO ONE COULD DO ONE JUMP???? Also-the parking? and no paper towels whatsoever? If you're comparing this location to the one in providence, this is about half the size. I'm not fond of the layout. The bar/dining area and game section should have been divided better, but the space looks limiting.. Food is average. We usually get bar bites, nachos, wings (very small order), spinach dip. Steak entrees, burgers are decent as well. They do have the eat and play combo, but dull options. The drinks are not really strong. But after certain hours you can play with a drink in hand. Plenty of options in the play area. It pretty pricey though, most games run about $2-$5. Plenty of parking. They are located all the way in the back which can be tough to find. read more

As other reviewers have noted, D & B is what it is- a loud arcade for adults. I didn't go here expecting a gourmet meal... I know they offer food, but I wouldn't think it more than munchies. I did go here with the intention of having a fun night out- play some games, have some drinks and enjoy the company of a mixed group of friends. My expectations were met. I appreciate the fact that D & B cards every time you go to the bar- they take their liquor license seriously and that'll allow us all to continue drinking there. Is it really that taxing to take out your ID??? My one complaint will be that the restrooms were a bit dirty to say the least- a huge pet peeve... especially one out of soap. I'll be packing the Lysol for my future visits! read more

Its a fun friendly place to go during the weekdays..but not so much on the weekend... it turns into a dance club..weird...long line, you have to be 21 and older to get in, very crowded, with loud music and drunk adults. FYI Wednesdays are half off on powercard points, so you get more games for the money!!! read more

My 300th review and it's not going to be a good one. ACKKK!!! I felt so crowded and claustrophobic. I couldn't walk without bumping into someone. Not a very good experience for my first time at Dave and Buster's. I've heard so many great things about the D&B's in Providence, RI and decided to give this new location a try. It was my cousin's birthday and she said to be there at 8pm. When we got there the line was out the door, reaching the parking lot. We didn't get into place until almost 8:45. If it wasn't for my cousin's birthday, I probably would've left after a half hour waiting outside in the cold. There was no organization in the bar and dining area. I saw more than a few people just walk right up and grab a table as soon as someone left. Even though there was a line of people just waiting for a table. The drinks were over priced and not very strong. The food was typical bar food. Although, the spinach dip was pretty good. I only bought a $10 game card and it got me a few games. I didn't really play for the tickets, so I don't really know what they had for prizes. Would I return, unless I was asked by a friend. Not a place I could see myself returning on my own. read more

I'm not reviewing just the food, I'm reviewing my entire experience here. This place is Chuckie Cheese for adults! Since most of us are grown up now, you should replace that pizza with some cocktails. I've been a few times, spent probably too much money... and I have over 10,000 tickets saved on that card. What the hell am I going to get? Speaking of, you should sign up for that card. I'm constantly getting coupons in my inbox. I haven't ventured much into the food. The burgers are decent for a chain. The drinks on the other hand, well I'm a "casual" drinker... That being said, the drinks could always be a little bit stronger... maybe I just need to make a friend, or find an AA meeting? For a good time, check this place out. It can get a bit pricy, but Wednesday nights are half price games. So, if you wanna save some dollars, check it out wednesday. I came here for a birthday, and was not impressed. After wandering around the mall area looking for the place I found a hybrid between something that looked like a wearhouse and a strip club... except a bunch of ten year olds were lined up out front. After finally being let in by two grouchy bouncers you head over to the machine where you can pay 2 dollars to get a card, then another 25 to load up a card with 'points' that you use to play games that cost 4.5 or 6.5 points to play. Put more on the card for more points... good luck figuring out how much you paid to play a game. Then, find your friends, wander over to the bar and learn that you could have gotten a free ten dollar card with your meal... awesome, but you already bought one because you felt awkward just standing around waiting for them. Wait an hour to get said meal because its overrun with families. The food comes, and its not any better than most bar food. But you're there for the games... the limited (compared to providence) selection of games... once again overrun with kids. Yeah... I'll be back, but mostly because I ran out of time and had to leave before I got anywhere near using up my card. Though, I might just head to the one in providence instead. So. I hit the jackpot on a couple of games and completely jumped like a fool, just like the overgrown adults on the Dave and Buster's commercials. On Fridays and Saturdays, the line can wrap completely around the building as if it were Black Friday at midnight. On other days, however, it's quieter, and easier to get a table if you're looking to do an eat and play combo. If you're hungry, the food is just mediocre. The chicken parm sandwich is pretty decent, and worth it if you're looking to play games afterwards. If you buy the eat and play combo for like $23, you get a $20 play card, which is like paying $3 for your meal. Cant complain! The game/arcade part of it is definitely fun; you get a card where you can load on money for points via cash or credit at a kiosk. The points can then be used at any game by swiping the card and deducting however many points it costs to play the game. Giant Fruit Ninja is friggen amazing, and I love those stacker games. The prizes are definitely a rip off, but they have a good selection of stuff to pick from ranging from shot glasses, to Angry Bird stuffed animals, to tshirts and cooking appliances. You have to be over 21+ to stay past a certain time as well, which is both a positive and negative thing. I could definitely forsee myself coming back here though if I want a dose of fun. Dave and Busters fills the void I have for older, non-existant arcades like Good Times. Does anyone remember Good Times?! Cry T_T read more

Came to watch the Mayweather/Alvarez fight, which D&B was being advertised on large posters everywhere inside and outside their establishment, as well as their website. Problem being, the fight was taking place in Vegas and was approaching the climax just as the 1am closing time took effect. There were constant reminders they'd be closing at 1am regardless of whether or not the fight was over, which was pretty scary considering the bar area was completely packed full of people who I'm sure, like my partner and I, were there JUST to see the fight they'd been advertising. I was slightly nervous there'd be some riot activity if they really did kick everyone out at 1am. Fortunately, they allowed us to finish watching the fight, but had every table completely cleared off by 12:59am even if you weren't done with your drink. Can't fault them for the laws, BUT if you know you're advertising an event of this magnitude, you should be prepared for everything it entails. When we called to confirm they were showing the fight, they tried to deter us from coming, or maybe it was just fair warning, but saying "Yeah but it's going to be really crowded..." And crowded it was. We were lucky enough to get seats at a table with some kind strangers. Our waitress was doing the best she could, but they were completely understaffed to handle so many patrons, and bar service was EXTREMELY slow, taking about 15-20 minutes to get a drink when ordering from a table, and possibly longer when waiting in line. While I know they can't prevent being busy, they can adequately prepare for a night they know is going to be way busier than usual, and they pretty much failed at that. The food was what you'd expect, and they did have a few newer menu items that seemed to cater to a more food-minded crowd. We ordered the appetizer platter that comes with wings, sliders, and fries (it arrived before our first round of drinks) and it was pretty solid. With drinks and food we ended up spending less than we would've spent to get the fight on PPV, so I guess we came out ahead in this situation, but I doubt I'll ever go back to this D&B. read more

If it wasn't for the food, this dining experience would have received no stars. We came on a Tuesday afternoon and were one of three parties in the restaurant. Our server Tara was extremely inattentive, seemed uninterested, and frankly came off as rude. We ended up receiving drinks that were very weak, made incorrectly, or were flat out the wrong drink. Food orders were put in wrong. Our dining experience was so unpleasant that we did not even stay to play games. We will never go back and I suggest you do the same. read more

First of all let me start by saying I don't know how anyone can enjoy this place let alone drink there. For starters the place plays some horrible music. Get there not only do they check Ids and give you a wrist band but one you sit down and after a "brief" 45 minute wait your waitress finally arrives to check your I'd again before it takes another 30 minutes to get a Whiskey and Ginger ale with as little whiskey as possible. The waitress disappears again for another 30 minutes before coming back to take the order. For the order to come out not only missing parts of entrées but also overly seasoned to his the fact that all of the food is frozen them MICROWAVED! Then when I was finally ready to leave this hell hole the waitress was nowhere to found what a surprise! To sum it all up only enjoyable part was leaving this place!Stay away!!!!!! read more
