Then we waited almost an hour for a burger and chicken tenders...for the fries to be stale and cold, then the replacements were warm and stale. Sending your burger back because it had none of the veggies or condiments that came on the burger was soo frustrating. THIS WAS HORRIBLE SERVICE, FOOD AND STAFF. Visited this location last night around 9:40PM. I asked the hostess at the front door if we could still get a table. She replied any of these bar tops. You can seat yourself. Me and my boyfriend sat at the first bar top for an hour with no service before leaving. I watched two servers, a bartender, even who I believe was the manager pass by and we were never asked if we wanted drinks or food. I will never go to Dave & Buster's again. I was visiting Charlotte and friends asked me to meet them there for dinner and drinks. Issue #1 - we were not given an actual table, we had to eat on a covered up pool table. Issue #2 - The server didn't know how to do his job. He took forever to just get us drinks. Yes, it was a Saturday, and yes, it was crowded, but as a former server that was no excuse for him not knowing how to work his section. Issue #3 - the food was horrible. My family loves D&B, so it's sad that this particular one has gotten so pitiful. Staff, including managers, are not helpful at all and are usually rude. I wouldn't dare trying to eat here again. The few times we have tried it, the food takes forever and arrives at the table already cold, and the servers can't be found...it's like they have 1 person working the whole thing. At any given time, you will likely find at least 4 or 5 games that are out of service. If you're bowling, you'll spend more time waiting for the equipment to stop malfunctioning than you will actually playing. It has really gone downhill; we're about to the point where we will drive twice as far to go down to the Pineville location. read more

I'm not really sure how to rate this Dave and Buster's location because the service is oftentimes pretty bad just as a function of the people working being really bad, but oftentimes it's just a result of them being overwhelmed. I've had generally decent experiences with the bar staff, but I suppose "generally decent" is a pretty low hurdle to clear. The bright side is that the games are very well maintained and the facility is pretty well upkept. Your best bet is definitely to eat dinner elsewhere, use the self service card machine to avoid a negative staff interaction, and going to the bar for a few cocktails (or beers, since the cocktails are pretty high priced for what you get) where the staff tend to be more friendly. read more

Fun atmosphere to go with family and friends! I have visited this location 3 times. I feel that the food service area is slacking from the staff wanting to serve. The food is great when it comes out, but waiting to be served on and checked on is mediocre. One time when I went with my husband, the entire bar was closed. All we wanted was beer and nachos, but we had to be seated by a waitress. It took 10 minutes for our beer to come back after being ordered. I came to watch a WWE premium live event. I first did the arcade. I had fun minus the screaming children but that comes with the territory. I went to redeem a free appetizer and a water while I waited on the show. Their printer was messed up and ended up having to wait for 10 to 20 minutes to get my coupon. The show was an hour and 30 minutes in and I ordered an entree and tipped my waitress 20% I also had one of my friends come by as well and he ordered food to watch the show with me as well. I asked for a refill of water and he rudly told me I been "posted up" and keeping the servers from making money and got real rude with me. I been spending money as well as tipping and even brought someone else to spend money as well and this is how you treat your customers? Awesome Dave and Buster's!!! I was visiting from Los Angeles and my boyfriend took me here for New Year's eve/day. We had so much fun! We sat in the game room bar area and our waitress was awesome! I wish that I would've gotten her name. The food was excellent! It was like they had a gourmet cook in the back or something. My boyfriend had the triple bacon burger plate and I had the bacon wrapped shrimp, steak, mashed potatoes with lobster sauce and green beans. The drinks were great too! The games were fun, the food was excellent and the customer service was excellent! My boyfriend lives in Greensboro (long distance relationship for now), so we drove a little over an hour to get there. It was definitely worth it. read more

I haven't been to Dave and busters since 2006--- talk about a long time ago! I was in high school. I noticed some remodeling taking place. My dad's company was in town, they invited all the employees to Dave and busters. We all Received token cards with 100 coins!!! Personally, I'm not into video games. However it was fun kicking my dads butt in Mario kart! We play two rounds, then jumped to the transformers game. Which never ended! We had maybe 70 to 60coins left, and decided to give the cards away to a nice couple. Food was provided. And it was so great! We also received drink tickets. Unfortunately the tickets didn't cover specialty cocktails. I totally forgot there's a bowling alley here! If my nail wasn't broken! I would've played! Not sure if I'll come back. Maybe if I have my niece and nephew, i'm not into video games. Not to mention I live about 25 minutes away. read more

What can I say that hasnt already been said about Dave and Busters. It's like trying to skip a rock in a lake. You know the lakes gonna eat it. It took you half an hour to find the right flat rock, but you gotta throw it. Otherwise, you're not gonna know if it's gonna skip. But sure enough, you throw the rock and zing! Before th rest of my review, I need to get this out of the way: the bathrooms are disgusting! They smell terrible, the walls are peeling, and when I was there about 7pm on 09/30, it looked like someone had TP'd every stall. The trash was over flowing as well. They were worse than the public bathrooms at Myrtle Beach. And that says A LOT. I hope a "higher up" sees this and approves some bathroom updates... I hope the servers don't have to use that same bathroom I love Dave & Buster's. I've been going to different ones for years and I don't mind the price of the games. However, I see why this location has such bad ratings. Our service was very slow, I'm certain our waitress forgot about us. I believe her name was Sierra/ciera. I never received my side salad, my husband's fries came out after he already finished his sandwich. We wanted to play games but waited and waited and waited for our check. We never received a single refill, we had to wait walk to the bar for our drinks, even water! After being tired of waiting, we went to the host and asked for our bill. Finally our waitress showed up. If you want to go somewhere loud, expensive, with mediocre food, I'd definitely recomment this place. Otherwise, no way. I can only talk about my experience, but I will, LOL. It was the final team outing for a beloved manager who has moved on to a better position, and we went bowling. I have never been to a real bowling alley that had so many problems. We probably spent at least 20% of the time waiting around for someone to fix the latest issue. One of my friends kept bowling spares (seriously, he bowled 3 in a row) and the system kept giving him 9 pins in total. If you bowled two gutters, you still got the middle 5 pin because the lanes suck. The balls looked like they had survived three wars in the last two years. It was literally the sh*ttiest bowling alley I've ever been in. I was interested in trying their pretzel dogs, and our manager ordered several appetizer trays, so I got my chance. Imagine a generic store-brand hotdog wrapped in an undercooked crescent roll and heavily seasoned with salt and pepper, and that's a "pretzel" dog. Nasty. Everything about this place seemed amateurish. I would never go back. read more

I am obsessed with this place but first things first the food and bowling are not the realest. The food is overpriced (same with the bowling) and definitely not worth the price. The food just wasn't good and there a million other bowling alley's in Charlotte that would be worth the price. Now the games are amazing and there are so many to choose from! Even better is they often get new games so every time I go I'm impressed that there are different/new games to play (they have a Star Wars game currently. My only complaint is that amount of children in this place even super late into the evening. Pro Tip: Go on Wednesday evenings during the school year when kids are hopefully in bed and when the games are half off. read more

This place is a good time. It's like a big carnival for grownups...games and beer and big televisions and yummy greasy bar fries. It's not really the kind of place where I'd go on my own, but it's nice when you are out with a few couples. Men like to play games. Women like to make fun of men playing games. It's interesting. Such a great location and atmosphere for food and games. I love how there are different sections such as the arcade area, bowling area, dining area, etc. There are many different arcade game choices. Great spot for kids to enjoy as well as adults. I have yet tried the food but the menu looks great. I've had a sangria which was tasty but a bit on the pricy side but what can you expect with the location and entertainment. Definitely a great spot for dates, group dates, and family time. Took my brother who was in town just to have some fun. First, we had to sit ourselves because the host put us on a waitlist and never texted us when our table was ready. After 30 minutes we said we are sitting ourselves. The food was disgusting. We had to get up and find our waiter to even pay for our food. The games were fun but when we tried to redeem our tickets there was only 1 person working the prize both and was super slow. We ended up giving the person in front of us our tickets and leaving. The games are plentiful and fun and the food is seriously mediocre. It's also interesting to see all these apps on my phone showing up as stand up, big screen video games. Think things like Fruit Ninja and Doodle Jump. There are plenty of shoot the insurgent zombie mutant horde type of games and lots of "skill" games like skee ball where you can pile up tickets to trade in for total crap in the gift store. Would like to see some more of the classics from back in my youth but, I get it... I'm old! My youngest son loves the place so it's a great way to take him out, have some fun with him and know that he's happy the whole time. read more

I had the Nachos, with all them chips (that tasted old by the way) I think I had about two tablespoons of cheese... I was like I thought Nachos was suppose to have cheese. My sons had the bacon hamburger they said it had no taste. My daughter had the BBQ sandwich and said it was nasty. My poor husband had order the loaded fries, when looking at the menu the fries looked really good BUT WHEN WE GOT THEM IT WAS NOTHING LIKE THAT PHOTO!!!! I will add a photo of both, what they SUPPOSED to look like and what they looked like when got them. The first time they brought him the fries out it was with the sweet potato fries and then he got his real order and it looked like some cheese fries(you will see the difference in the photo). So I asked to talk to the manager and explained we don't expect our food to like just like the photo, but at least eye appealing. She gonna say "I will take that off your tab would you like something else?" My husband order chicken wings. So after a 1 hour and 15 mins my husband was finally able to eat. The manager should have taken off his chicken. Then I get the check and they had charged my for both fries (the first one they bought out that was WRONG and the second order), yes it was taking off BUT STILL WAY WAS THE SECOND EVEN PUT ON MY CHECK THEY MESSED UP NOT ME!!!! Came here last night and had a real good time. I've been to a few D&Bs but this one is really huge. This is the first time I've been to one with a bowling alley in it. It also had a section for pool tables to add to the arcade area. Bowling (expensive imo $35 for an hour of bowling) was fun but they didn't have a rack with spare balls for you to choose from. So that means whatever lane you're in, you're stuck with the balls that's given to you unless you can find another lane who's kind enough to trade balls with you. This was an issue because my gf wanted a lighter ball but luckily the group next to us left so we were able to switch the balls out while the lane was vacant. The arcade games were cool. Just $20 gave us enough game credits to play everything we were interested in. All in all had a good time but probably won't come here if bowling is the main thing we're looking to do. As for bar food, drinks and gaming, it's great. read more

Ok, here goes... I soooo wanted to rate them higher because they do have a very intriguing menu. First - the wine selections are horrible. I tried the cab and the Malbec (both awful) and settled on the Pinot Noir, but couldn't stomach a second glass. We eat out about every night and my one requirement is decent wine. The appetizer we ordered - fondue - had been sitting while, it came with the main dish rather than before, and was barely lukewarm and a several pieces of the bread had no cheese at all. The main dish - steak with linguini, shrimp and lobster - was actually very flavorful (yummy sauce), but the steak (ordered medium) was well done. There was no one in the dining section .......on a Friday. Really?!? The waitress took our drink order and took 10 minutes for our drinks to come out. We ordered our food and two of the three of us had gotten our food and the last plate came out 8 minutes later and was cold. We didn't get offered any refills because our waitress was never around and I've asked for our waitress three times and everyone kept looking at us and just walk away. Best place in Charlotte for fun, food and games. And only 4 minutes from home. Not an inexpensive outing by any means, but you only live once. Before 5 has better deals on food, you can buy game credits and get a better price on your meal. I usually stick with Goldfingers (chicken fingers) , unless i'm feeling adventuresome. We don't drink, so I can't comment on the bar. Plenty of TV's with sports on, if you're into that. I'm not. The games are fun if you're into that. I'm not. Cool idea - cool games and looks interesting until you try to get service. I've been about 5 times and usually get slow service. It's okay if you just want to play the games, but if you want to spend a few hours and eat lunch or dinner, service can be anywhere from slow to nonexistent. I took my son there with his friends for his birthday and the poor service was even noticed by the kids. I would like to go more often because I think it's a fun place to take my son, but the poor service keeps me from going very often. read more
