Went for the first time the other night. The good: the wings were really good, and while I unfortunately forgot our server's name, she was helpful once we were finally seated. The improvements: communication here is terrible. I tried reaching out weeks in advance to host a party. I sent a DM with no response, tried booking through OpenTable and was told I had to go through the website instead. I then submitted an inquiry through the website and still got no response. The only way I got any acknowledgment was through a friend who knows someone there. I'm not sure if it was the manager or owner, but the response was essentially that they received my email but since it was sent weeks in advance, they'd get to it when they got to it. That came across as very unprofessional. The day of the event arrived, and since no one ever followed up, I had no choice but to book three separate tables for our group. When we got there, the hostess pointed out that we had booked separate tables and said we should have booked everything together. That made no sense considering there's no way to do that online, and I had already tried multiple times to contact someone directly with no response. Our server was the only reason the experience was tolerable, and I wish I remembered her name because she did her best to make the situation better. I personally won't be back. read more

I give the Marquee a 5 out of 5. This was my fist time visiting this lounge and I am impressed. When I pulled the parking lot was crazy so I already knew it was going to be a time. The bouncers were nice and it was packed upstairs and downstairs. I don't know how we managed to get a seat at the bar but we did. The bartender was very smooth and attentive making various drinks with ease. It was a male bartender behind the bar vibing as well. I like feel of this spot sitting in here listening to live music . I was only in here briefly because I need time to prepare for this week, but I plan to re visit soon. read more

Came here for a gathering. Small venue so they have to rotate space, even if you have a reservation. One thing that was kind of disappointing was that they advertise specials on their social media and screens inside but have stipulations or changes. I met with my girlfriends for a holiday brunch at The Marquee Charlotte. The music, atmosphere, and decor was all on point. We ordered a variety of dishes from salmon and grits to lemon pepper wings and of course the marquee classic, which is a protein, grits, a waffle, and eggs. The classic was really tasty; however, all of our plates came to the table lukewarm. We're trying to figure out if it was the trip from the first floor kitchen to the second floor table where we were seated, that cooled our food off, but in their defense, the food was very tasty lukewarm!. So it would have been amazing if it came out hot. It might be beneficial for them to invest in covered plates that keep the food warm while they transport it from one level to the other or a dumb waiter.... This is a new Local Business that has the class and atmosphere that makes you want to eat! Dance! And Vibe all night! Parking this night was valet or street, but not hard to manage because I got a Lyft! They opened their space to our organization for a private party in their loft!! It was amazing and beautiful! Fantastic spot. Came on Sunday for live music/jazz. I like that there is security at the door to check your bag, I felt safe. Place is trendy and a vibe. Delicious cocktails, good food. This was our third time trying to come to the Marquee. Be aware, online hours aren't reflective of open times because the other two times, Marquee was closed. And I'm talking prime business hours, Sunday Funday, anyone? So. Friday night, boom. They're open. There's a lot street parking adjacent to the establishment. There is minimum lighting in the parking lot, so be safe, but there were two police cars within an ear shot. We get in and the place has a nice crowd. The hostess says that there's a $45/pp charge to sit at a table, or you can stand by either bar upstairs or downstairs. The $45 can include drinks and food. We chose to stand. Our first round of drinks were delicious. The bartender did an amazing job. Our second round, I couldn't even finish. Another bartender took care of us and might have been training. I thought that the venue was beautiful and the music was decent. They have a lot of TVs playing the game. I could see myself having another nice, chill evening here. read more

The experience was okay at best, definitely meant for the older/grown crowd. Make sure to reserve your seat ahead of time. The reason why I'm leaving a 1 star review is because I paid $30 for a $13 drink and some $8 fries. The drink was listed as $13 on the menu but clearly and deliberately itemized as $15 on the receipt, then charged and taxed %20 gratuity on top of all of that which would've been nice if the waitress/host explained that before we sat or demonstrated that when she handed me the bill. I would have expected this egregious practice in Atlanta but at the end of the day I've seen enough red flags to assume that there's something shady going on at this establishment and wouldn't recommend this place to family or friends. To sum all of this up make sure to ask for your Receipt when you go here and ask yourself if you're willing to fight for $2. read more

The service was very good here. The upstairs bartender hooked my margarita up and make it infuse with peach which I love. The menu does need more options for small plates. We order two different wings and they came out night and got just how I like it. I would recommend to family and friends. read more

Nice decor in building. Big 2 story building. Plenty of seating. I've never had their food. There are sooo many people standing behind you at your table I don't feel comfortable actually eating here. I mean the people are literally staring you in the face no matter which direction you look. The tables are close together and in between the tables are people just standing because there is not enough siting and has to be reserved. Love the live music here that's why I come. read more

Had so much fun!!! Found this spot on EventBrite and it said live band. Drove a little over an hour and sooo glad we did! Food was amazing, vibes were awesome, the DJ.... did his thing! The only issue I had was with the hookah. Too much water in the base and I ordered a refill and was never able to use it. The lady never returned to tell us the issue got resolved, to give us the hookah back or refund the $25 for the refill. Other than that, very cool vibes. Loud... band doesn't play to the size of the venue. You have to yell at your guest and the wait staff to be heard. So this is not a place to take a date and enjoy music. Terrible food and even worse customer service. Lamb chops tasted like teryaki beef jerky, the wings were not cooked enough even though we asked asked for them to be fried hard. Our waitress had a nasty attitude all night and even took our plates without asking (the lamb chops were still mostly uneaten but she grabbed them and left). A backwards establishment, you cannot wear a baseball cap but any other headwear is acceptable (per the security this is the owners standards), service was sub par, if it wasn't for Anna I would have left long before. This "luxury Lounge" is anything but. Luxury is proper soundproofing, Luxury is top shelf wine and spirits being used. Drove by and saw a Truly Hard Setzer being unloaded.. I reserved section for 9 people, received section that fit 4 people max. Didn't and wouldn't accommodate. Charged $400 for bottle of Moet (red star brut). Other venues don't even charge this amount for Moet Rose. Took 35 mins to get drink at bar. Charge $30-$40 to park on weekends. Nice venue just a rip off. Even though we were not happy with our section and charged quadruple for cheap bottle of Moet we still ordered food after initially being told "kitchen was closed" by our waitress. Music is crazy loud, my boyfriend can hear it from his house, which is a few houses away. Parking is crazy, like why are you parking all over the place? We can barely get any sleep cause the bass is booming. We have to constantly wear our headphones to drown the music out, which is bad for our ears and had to make multiple noise complaints and nothing gets done. On Saturday, January 11, 2025, my boyfriend and I attended The Marquee Charlotte, NC, for a date night. Awful service from start to finish was not good. We paid for a VIP booth for four. We got the section for four so we could have our own space and not be crowded. Once we arrived, we had to wait over 20 minutes for our section to be ready. Once we got to our section, it was in the corner next to the bar, which was cool. There was a group next to us with the same size section, and they kept inviting people to their section, which is their business until it interfered with our business. Let's pause there and talk about the bottle girl we had. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! She never came to our section until my boyfriend would stand up and order something from the bar. The first time she came to our section, she told him that if we wanted to order from the bar, she could move us to the bar. I told her she was taking too long to serve us. She stated that people with bottles get served first. Now, are you ready for the kicker? She approached us later and noted that the group next to us had two more people coming to join their party, who would sit in our section. WHAT THE FUCK....WE PAID FOR THIS SECTION!!!! She did not bother to ask us if they could sit in a section we paid for. She just told us what she was going to do, not ask if they could sit with us. It's not her money. I was so done at that moment and over it. When the two ladies arrived, one sat down and kicked the table while I was trying to eat my food and spilled my water. Do you think she said excuse me? NO!!! I have never been to an establishment that doesn't have respect for their paying customers. It breaks my heart because we have been there before, and it is a great bar with excellent vibes. Sometimes, you have to be careful who you hire to serve people. I am well aware of that as I am a public servant for my city. I will not be back!!! read more

Overheard a waitress say kitchen staff weren't wearing gloves. Building was empty at 9:30 on a Saturday. Music was horrible, until later around 1am. Beautiful building, horrible execution. I did have a great bartender upstairs who previously worked at Stats and used to take care of me there, her name is Laura or Lauren. Be warned, there is gratuity added. Not sure if it is mentioned anywhere. Overall won't be returning. Enjoy your evening at 1501 or somewhere else where parking, frozen food, and price gouging aren't issues. read more
