Horrible service, horrible food, helped to ruin evening. We (friends and family) went there and ended up as a 17 top in the red room. We ordered drinks that took forever. Then ordered apps that took two more drinks. And then the fun began. We ordered food. My FAVORITE part was the forever (probably about 45 minutes) for the first 2/3 of the group to get their food, when the place was practically empty. But the topper was the last 1/3 of us didn't get ours until almost 35 minutes after. So there was either the time you were eating, the time you were pissed, or the time you were both. The food was cold and nasty. Fried chicken was soggy, chewy and dry, and the tots with my chicken and waffles sliders crap were over-priced husks more resembling a cockroach than any potato product I've ever seen. Props to the waiter (only got one for the 17 of us) for trying to be o top, but overall a complete fail the is to be owned by management, and the bar and kitchen staff. Oh, and the drinks sucked too. So much sour in my long island it was unpalatable. And this from families that go there pretty regularly because of the proximity to the theater next door. Will be strongly reconsidering visiting again for any reason. But that earned the rating, for sure. And loved the idea of this place. Eat and play for bit, go to the movie, come back after and play more. NEVER GOT ANY OF THE PLAY TIME BECAUSE OF HOW MUCH YOUR DINING SUCKS. I have to preface this review by saying I've never been to any other D&B location, so I don't know how this one compares to the franchise. The first thing I would say is, this is not a place for good food. It's like an Applebee's or a TGI Friday's in terms of menu and general quality. I have a side salad and it was fine. Holy wow it is HOT in there. With all the machines and people, they seriously need to keep the temp down. It was like walking through a sauna. What in the world is with people bringing their extremely young kids out late at night? I left at 11pm, and on my way to the door I saw a 6 month old (I wish I was joking), and at least a dozen 2, 3, and 4 year olds. Parents, your young kids should not be up at 11pm listening to crazy dance music, staring at violent gaming screens, and watching 19 year olds make out. Put them to bed and get a baby sitter. It seemed that about 15% of the games were broken, and when games are our thing, this seems pretty pathetic. It's just such an odd atmosphere. You're looking at a SpongeBob Squarepants game while some song about girls with big butts is playing at full blast, and you may see a 3 year old streak by or some 40 year olds hanging around. I don't think this place knows exactly what it is. I will say that I enjoyed the SkeeBall, trivia game, and some of the others. If I felt like being a kid again and blowing off some steam, I might come here once or twice a year for the games (not the food). But once I get home, I'll be scrubbing down with hand sanitizer and getting a shower. read more

I can go into detail about how poorly we were treated this Christmas Eve's Eve, 12/23/2011 - but that would take a few pages, and lots of time and energy. Let's just say that D &B's no longer stands for Dave and Busters and I will never step foot in another one! These DB's harassed our teenagers and tried to intimidate us. My 17 year old niece is only 4'9, and this very large man started trouble with her as I was standing right there next to her. I told him that she was with me so leave her alone and what was the issue. He says that at after 10pm, kids aren't allowed (it's like 10:30 on a Friday on the Eve of Christmas Eve) Apparently, as I was informed later, Dave and Buster's is no longer catering to the family and the video games and toys aren't meant for kids? Dave and Buster's new priority is to cater to drunk adults.... Fine we'll leave. No big deal, right? We'll use up the last 5 coins and go cash in the tickets. NO, Mr. power trip, wants to escalate the issue like WE are doing something wrong. From bad to worse, this bully, who had an unwarranted issue with us, gets 3 more guys to stand by and wait for us to cash in our tickets and escort us out. Yes, escort us out. We are being literally being thrown out. Mind you, we haven't done anything wrong, we've been totally cooperative, (even paid for the inedible food and leave an above standard gratuity) and even though I know this guy is out of line, it's Christmas, and I didn't want his negative energy interfering with the Christmas spirit. While we are being escorted out, I asked why they were treating us that way. DB1 says because "You're not 21", which is flattering but retarded. I told him my age and that we had been told that the kids could be there if accompanied by an adult, DB2 says something to the effect of "well, whatever you call them" referring to the kids?! WHAT?? Both the kids are well behaved and at that point, I was just baffled. Let me not forget to mention that the food was awful, awful, awful. My 13 year old boy who will eat almost anything, wouldn't take a second bite of his burger and I had to send my salad back because the chicken was rancid. We then ordered chicken fingers and those were gross as well and had apparently been cooked with oil used to fry fish? We can deal with the terrible food because quite frankly, we wouldn't go to Dave and Busters for the food, but shouldn't the food be at least edible AND then to be treated the way we were.... WOW. Way to go DB's!! I don't often feel discriminated against, but there was definitely something wrong there that day, and after thinking through the chain of events, it has crossed my mind that maybe the food was deliberately served bad because we weren't welcome there in the first place. read more

Can I leave no stars? I've been to Dave & Buster's in a few states. This one is the worst, hands down. First off, came here for the family atmosphere to watch the Broncos game with friends. After all, I'm in Denver. Well, this crazy place now has a DJ blasting crazinezs, comments & super loud music. Came to watch the game and eat, not listen to DJ trying to be act out a child hood fantasy of being an NFL color commentator. And the food took forever to come from the kitchen. We spoke to several people in charge. Told repeatedly "it's policy" for the DJ. That's just unacceptable. Finally, halfway into first period, we were offered to go to a closed off room with a big screen TV. Much better. ... almost, then the power went out and we missed a touchdown. This place sucks. I typically love Dave and Buster's,been to them all over the country, and go all the time in Phoenix. Those locations are pretty solid, but the one in Denver is absolute shit. Stopped in here back in Nov. to start out a night out in Denver. Thankfully, we didn't stick around here long because this place would have me slitting my wrists after more than an hour. Though it was a Sat. night, the place was stupid crowded. And this is the biggest D&B I've ever seen. Tons of pool tables, but all of them were full. The entire place is pretty grimy, and more than half the games I tried didn't work quite right; broken buttons, screwed up steering wheels, the list goes on. Or it just ate credits off my card without crediting them in the game. Good luck trying to find anyone to help you on the floor; outside of the bar/restaurant, employees were non-existant. And the drinks! Goddamn! The drinks were a total joke. D&B is certainly not a place to drink on the cheap, but I haven't seen a markup this bad outside an airport bar. This place jacks the price WAY up. Ordered 2 drinks; a rum and coke, and vodka tonic. $19!!!! Are you shitting me? Not top shelf, just a normal well drink. This wasn't Vegas. This wasn't a pretentious night club. Just $19 for two so so cocktails in a sleazy arcade with funky kids running a muck. Awesome. Also, they didn't have the nifty glass pint glasses in the ticket shop, only the garbage plastic ones (which cost the same). Dave and Busters....where do I begin? The food is awful, and over priced. I tried a steak here one evening, big mistake! I could hardly chew it and actually had to spit it out into my napkin! The marinade was thick and gooey. The chicken tastes like rubber. The mashed potatoes are about the only thing I have been able to tolerate from here! And as far as the games, I am just not a fan. The only games I play are skee ball and the quarter game. The tickets are generous however. The prizes are junk, nothing worth the time you waste at the quarter machine. I wasn't stoked on the food. The bar tenders were pretty good about getting drinks. Of course, this was noon on a Sunday. My big problem is that Dave and Buster's is a bar... or at least I thought it to be. There are too many little children (Chucky Cheese age) running around. I think I'm going to stick with the Westminster location because the Dave N' Busters here in Colorado Blvd wasn't too impressive as I thought it was. The parking is convenient because there is a large parking garage available with no extra cost. I brought my little sister along and promised her a special day. I felt horrible with this location. Entering in, a beautiful, young lady (name not mentioned) greeted me in. She was polite! The counter staff was indeed nice. Then it all went downhill when all the rest of the staff was rude, unhelpful, full of shit, and only a few people were nice. Everyone there made my little 9 year old sister and I feel unwelcome and they didn't bother to help us with directions since it was so big. Instead, the hostess there all looked me down and smirked. Jamal was my server and he was pretty swell for the most part. I chose some pretty delicious entrees of Ultimate Macaroni and Cheese, and the chef killed it with making my Buffalo wings into Barbecue. That was great, until he snapped at me because I had waited almost 10 minutes for my to go box and I went hunting him down because my party and I are were planning to leave. I felt humiliated after that! Then I continued to play more games and finally went to ticket in some prizes. The counter cashier there, Daniel, was absolutely rude and didn't smile at all. What is up with their staff??? I wasted my money there and people are jerks. Westminster has a better DNB with better service and nice people for sure. Everyone was grand there and we had free drinks. People even greeted us in and out the door. Not here. It's garbage. I used to like comming here during the week to play some skeeball and get $2.50 Stoli & Tonic's during Happy Hour but they took out my favorite game, Star Wars Arcade and replaced it with a vile hunting game when you can shoot innocent animals like bears, baby bears, bunnies, etc and watch them splatter (gross). I love skeeball but the machines here are cruddy and half of them are always broken. The food quality is a "C" but you get what you pay for. You can get a $10 or $20 game card with a certain selection of meals but it doesn't change the fact it's low quality. This place is packed on Fridays and Saturday nights and full of kids, and all sorts of people. It isn't any fun at all. You have to wait in line, deal with people bumping into you, etc. I recommend comming here on a weeknight at 10pm for Happy Hour. Play a few games, maybe shoot some zombies. read more

I went here on a date back in August of 2009. The food was alright, albeit expensive. The ambiance was pretty okay and I thought that it was not too loud and the food didn't take too long. There weren't any interesting games in the arcade, mostly it was just sport related games, nothing fun like Dance Dance Revolution. My son just had his sixth birthday at D & B's this Saturday. 1. The party to start at 11:30 but when I arrived there was no one there to greet us either at the front door or at the table. 2. The table was...just a table. Nothing festive AT ALL. Just plates and utensil roles; no balloon, nothing. Just a regular table that looked like every other regular table. 3. When the manager came over (Marcus, I think) I told him that I was already underwhelmed but there was no apology just excuses and he seemed irritated I'd even say something. He never showed up again throughout the entire party to check on us. He only appeared at the end to present us with the bill...which was wrong. He never asked how things were then either--probably because he didn't care and didn't want to hear about it. He couldn't have cared less about our party. 4. There was ONE server, who was sort of friendly but very slow and not good at all. This is after I specifically told the event coordinator that adults would be ordering food and drinks separately so please make sure we have at least 2 servers or 1 that is very experienced. Nope--one server who rarely came by and had other tables too. 5. When the food and drinks came, they were delivered to a table behind us and basically left there for I guess US to serve ourselves. It made no sense. There were pitchers of pink lemonade just sitting there but we were to get up ourselves and pour it and she never refilled any of our glasses. I served the party. Me and other parents. I passed the food and drinks around and made sure everyone had what they needed--not the server. It was the busiest I have ever been at a restaurant where I was actually one of the diners. 6. Nothing was ever cleared off the table to make room for other things, like dessert. Of course, once we left they were right on clearing it but not while we were eating. When it came time for dessert, no new plates or forks were given. I had to, once again, get up myself and go around the restaurant picking up clean plates and forks off other tables or at the waiter's stand. Never once did the server say "no, no--please sit down--let me do this for you." 7. Not ONE SINGLE OTHER PERSON helped our server with our table--even though there were plenty standing around and the manager was just moseying through the restaurant doing nothing at all. 8. When we left, no one said thank you or how were things, no one could have given a shit we were even there. 9. It cost a small fortune to have this birthday there. DO NOT have a birthday here. I so rarely take the time and effort to write a review but the experience was just so 1 star that I felt compelled to take time away from working on Monday to write this. read more

Wow!!! What a horrible experience we had at Dave and Busters on So Colorado Blvd last night 1. I was not allowed to make a reservation because I could not guarantee 10 people. When I tried to email back the person who helps you with these kinds of things I never got a reply. So I figured we would just go and have fun. 2. When we got there I waited to be told to go see the host stand. Went there and was told it would be 15-20 minutes. Ok, that works. I went back to my group and when the last person came in, 10 minutes later, I went back and waited 5 more minutes for the hostess, who then told me it was going to be 45 minutes to an hour. I told my party and we ordered drinks etc. then 1 hour and 5 minutes I went back and she tells me I'm next. I then told her that part of my party had to go home because of the wait and that she better not make us wait any more. 3. We were then seated and we continued to wait longer. They finally came and gave us our drink order, that didn't take too long except for my drink. My drink was originally a sweet drink had now became sour. (Should have taken this as an omen). Another 30 minutes past and she finally came to take our order and the guys ordered the all you can eat Tacos. She then came back and told us that is only on Thursday's. So they changed the order. The girls food came and another 45 minutes go by until we find someone to see where the food is and she never turned it in. The orders were not right. When we finally got them. 4. We ate at the restaurant. They had what appeared to be a great drink selection, but when it came to ordering drinks they were out of just about everything. My husband tried to order 3 different beers and finally gave up and got a martini because they didn't have any of the beers advertised. I'm surprised they had the olives for the martini! I tried to order a non alcoholic fruity drink only to be told they did not have the ingredients for that drink either! They finally got it right when I ordered a virgin mixed boba drink.The appetizer was great and my husband enjoyed his dinner and the churros were divine. There was one waitress for the entire dining area and she spoke so quietly I had to have her repeat everything at least twice. We had to yell to have a conversation over the ridiculously loud music. This place is my hell. Bros. Woo girls. Unsupervised bratty kids. Overworked employees. Dirty, sticky, overpriced games. Sports lovin'. Shitty food. When we went, it was a hot day in the summer, and the A/C just happened to be broken. The place was absolutely packed, and the air within was viscous and wet with breath and perspiration and warm butts. They had some fans going, but it smelled so bad in there... it was terrible. We decided to suck it up and play some games, try to have a fun time with it all... All of the games were super expensive. This isn't the 90's--we're not living in a GameWorks era. Many of the games were out of order, and the ones that were in working condition were caked with fried chicken finger grease and candy stickyness. Disgusting. I went here to watch a pay per view boxing match with some friends. I'm very understanding when it comes to how busy they must be on nights like this. The server couldn't keep track of tabs. We had a table of 12 and told him ahead of time that we were paying with separate checks. I told him exactly what I had, and he still added 2 drinks that were not mine, totalling $75. I was with a group of friends, so I was more than willing to buy my friends a couple drinks. Since we had a group of 12, the tip was already included and with the terrible response and organization, I didn't feel obligated to add onto the already added 18%. After a few days when the charges cleared, I was charged $85. I will not be going back to this place again and recommending that none of my friends go back either. read more

Came here because it was across from our hotel. I used to frequent this place 10 years ago. I have either gotten older and wiser or this place has gone downhill. I think a little of both. The dining area seems to be stuck between Dave and Busters Tiffany lamp/cool ceiling era and it's newer, modern era but hasn't committed to either. The food was good and the deal with the combo meal/game tokens was nice. Service was ok. There were apparently "problems" in other areas so we were forgotten about. Game area seemed run down. Great place to take people of all ages to have some good old fashion fun. They have Ping pong, pool, virtual golf, and a game room with all the latest arcade ticket games and video games- my favorite being the shooter games! They have decent food but one of those menus that is so large, it's overwhelming. They have the typical bar style food with a surprisingly more upscale selection as well! For all my drinkers out there, they have every imaginable alcoholic drink available, with a decent amount of brews on draft! Even more remarkable, they had a happy hour (don't know if it's only on Tuesday nights) that had every spirit, bottom or top shelf, HALF OFF! Very dangerous! The service was really night and day based on the area we were at. In our reserved area we were well taken care, servers were fast and very accommodating. When we moved to the large game room it was horrendous, my opinion is largely based on the fact that I sat at the bar and asked for water and it took 20 minutes, with the bartender seeming to completely ignore me. Overall, I have had a quality experience every time I've been to this establishment because of quality of entertainment options they have but the service is always hit or miss! Like others, maybe I am just getting older, but it is not the Dave and Busters it use to be. Some of it is not their fault - video games have gotten so large in recent years and as a result, the once wide selection has diminished. What use to be a wall of 10 different video games has now been reduced to 5 at best. The food is average at best, but they do make a wide variety of adult beverages, not cheap, but lots to choose from nonetheless. I had the BBQ chicken, mashed potatoes, and vegetables. Like I said, it was just okay. We ordered Calamari as an appetizer and it was an unbelievably small portion. Lots of free parking in the ramp - or you can spend five minutes trying to find a spot directly out front. There is a movie theatre attached to D&B as well. I honestly don't even know where to begin. We were discriminated against for the color of our skin. we asked the bar tender (Kayla or mckayla) to remake the drinks because we had ordered doubles and they were definitely not doubles . She had already given us doubles for the first round but not second so we were able to taste it. And instead of her saying hey I'll remake it she cut us off and turned around and ignored us the rest of the time and offered to give us more alcohol if we payed for more. At this point it was no longer the alcohol it was the way I was being treated by her and Greg tried to belittle us. After this rude little girl walked away Greg came over we thought he would've been more help but I was WRONG we told him the situation he then came over to our drinks grabbed a straw and stuck his straw into EACH of our drinks and said I taste the alcohol when we had never said there was no alcohol we simply said it wasn't a double. Now idk about you guys but I do not want some old man sticking a straw in our drink and expecting us to continue drinking it . He then pushed the drinks towards us and said if it was more alcohol we wanted he could pour it and he did pour it in the same drink where he stuck his straw in as if we were animals and we would just drink it and with COVID still happening i feel like he threatened my well being/health. but at this point it wasn't about being ripped off it was about the way we were being treated. Awesome Fun for my teens, hubby & I! I have really started enjoying going to Dave & Buster's the last year. My kids are too old for Chuck E Cheese, so it's great for me teens and teens! The service is pretty good & the food is awesome! Love the Surf & Turf! For Real Tho! Yum! My family and I went to Dave&Busters last night. We were seated and had to waited 25 minutes to be acknowledged. We then had to wait for someone to take our drink order. Once we placed that drink order, we were in the middle of co-workers arguing over who would be our waiter. After an abundance of time, a new waitress came to the table, apologized, and advised she would help us. Food was ordered. The food came and over half the order was wrong. Food was very over priced. I had a little mix up with the booking and by little I mean I book a party in Florida and I live in Colorado and I found out 2 hours before. Thank god Florida time is 2 hours ahead. So to fix the situation I called the CORRECT Dave n buster the one on i25 and Colorado and talked to the manager Bryan and he helped me out and took so much stress off my chest. He only had one hour to get a party for 15 kids and 15 adults ready food, tables, staff and the payment switch everything was done by the time we got there. Bryan was the one to seat us made sure we had everything and we knew how our cards and the birthday boys wristband worked. Everything turned out wonderful and everyone had the best time! The food is mediocre at best, the games keep getting bigger but not necessarily better, and the booze is expensive! When you plan an evening here, you never expect it to be cheap, but they're now taking expensive to a whole new level. We decided to eat dinner here, and started with an insanely small appetizer portion of calamari for $9.99. Then, my burger was disgusting- probably one of the worst burgers I've ever had and I really did have low expectations. And the fries were so over seasoned, it was all you could do not to choke when you ate a particularly oversalted one. Service was pretty good though. Then, we headed to the arcade where after charging up our cards for a pretty penny, we quickly realized that some of our favorites from a year ago (or so) are no longer there. They've been replaced with games that take up so much space they've apparently pushed out our faves. However, I did find a new favorite- the Wheel of Fortune game up by the skee-ball; you guess actual words and phrases, and we were addicted to it for a very long time. But, I was still missing one of my other favorites, the name of which I cannot recall. Overall, they still have a pretty diverse selection of games. And for the most part, you can find a table to sit your beer on while gaming. Throughout the evening, we took advantage of the bar. I stuck to beer for the night, and even those were a few dollars more than you'd see at your neighborhood watering hole, and it wasn't exactly craft beer! Hubby had vodka but even for well, it was much more expensive than most places. I don't mind paying good money for booze, but these weren't exactly craft beer and specialty cocktails. The service here was phenomenal though, and after one beer order, one of the bartenders remembered my order the rest of the night! Overall, did we have fun? Yes. But for what we spent, I think it'll turn into an every other year or so event. Because, really there isn't exactly many other choices when it comes to places to play such a wide variety of video games (and get tickets!) and drinks. However, I certainly will skip eating here ever again. Arcades are not my thing. However now that I have children and it is 100 degrees outside, this was a nice place to go to wear them out. We did have dinner in their restaurant before going in. The service was actually really good, but the food was bland. The kids meal was actually better than the appetizer platter that my Sister-in-law and I shared. However, it was over 5 bucks for a kids meal which is a bit steep. The arcade is typical and I find it very overstimulating. I did have a fun time but I can only take it in small does. It was my son's first trip there though and now I am afraid I have created a monster. He really had a GREAT time. read more

I've been to D&B's many times and - depending on the occasion - I've had a different experience each time. If you're just going to play games, the selection is so-so. I was incredibly bummed when they took out the ski racing games a few years ago and I noticed yesterday that their cheapo version of Dance Dance Revolution was nowhere to be found. Boo. The games are expensive and the merch you can exchange your tickets for is total crap - unless you have 8000 tickets. There are no trash cans around the arcade - why is this??? I had to unnecessarily walk around with an unwanted wad of gum in my mouth for an hour which led my mind to think that the undersides of all the stools were gum infested. Speaking of which - anyone remember the Gum Tree at the old Elitches? By the log ride? Ahh - those were the days... But I digress... If you're going for food in the dining area - it's decent but expensive. But - if you're attending an event in one of the billiard areas, the staff is super attentive and the food is pretty darn good. D&B's is a fun way to blow off an afternoon - but bring the antibacterial wipes just in case... read more

The arcade itself is kind of fun but has more carnival style games than actual arcade games. But the area is nice, big and open. The price to play though is extremely expensive. For what we spent on games and drinks I would have preferred going to the 1-up. $40 there would have provided hours of gaming and enough drinks. But not our choice of venue that night unfortunately. We ate dinner there as well. For what would have passed for a shitty Applebee's entree ran $18. My shrimp were alright but totally not worth the price. The service was horrendous as well, and of course we got slapped with 18% gratuity for the 8 people in our party. Probably the only way she was able to earn a tip that night. Next time I'm in the mood for dinner, drinks and games, I'll choose a quality restaurant downtown then head over to the 1-up. read more

The machines are from the 1940s. Their drinks and food are overpriced and complete SHIT. also, I go to arcades ALL the time. Everything here is 3-5 times more expensive than ANY arcade I've EVER been to and they are old, shitty machines. WTF... Is this a joke? Also I stabbed myself in the eye after winning a ticket jackpot due to excitement. The management wouldn't serve me a second drink because they thought I was too drunk from earlier seeing me walking to the bathroom half blinded. Weird people... read more
