My husband and I took our kids one night for dinner and some games. If you're vegetarian or vegan, or trying to eat healthier, good luck here. They have the Impossible burger, but other than that not a lot of options. All of their entree salads have meat on them. I decided to order the Thai salad with avocado instead of chicken and add some tomatoes. There really isn't much on the salad besides greens and carrots. The kids menu is the standard junk like hot dogs and chicken fingers. I'm adding a star for service, since our server was attentive. There were only a few other tables of people eating. I was surprised to see that I was charged extra for the avocado and 5 cherry tomatoes that I added to my salad, even though I didn't get chicken. I asked about it, but the server said that anything added is extra regardless. This is ridiculous! What a rip off! We also played some games in the insanely loud game area. You have to shout to talk to each other. It was Wednesday and half price game night. I can't imagine paying full price. The food is above average and I also love there mixed drinks and beer selection as well. Only downside is that it is pretty expensive and also very loud inside. Typically, I don't have to wait long to be waited on but had some trouble getting a bartender to take my drink order today. Out here for work and decided to try this place. Service was horrible. I sat at my table for about 30 minutes before being greeted. Table was dirty, when the waiter finally came she put my beverage napkins and straw on the dirty wet table. I ordered my drink and cheeseburger when she came. I got my drink after 10 minutes which was good. I waited about 30 minutes for my burger, wasn't upset about that seeing how busy they were. The burger was mediocre, cheese wasn't melted, that's how I knew it was going to be cold. I waited for my server to return which she took a while to do. My recent trip to Dave & Busters was nothing to write home about. After purchasing a game card we were told we could sit anywhere to eat, we just wanted to get drinks and play games, but you can't drink while playing the games because of covid. We tried to sit down and order a drink. The manager came by twice in 20 mins to tell us they'd be right with us. The second time she brought water. We ordered drinks off their menu and 3 separate times the manager came back and said they didn't have that drink after searching for over 5 mins each time. We sat at that table for 40 mins with just waters and within that 40 mins a server came by once. It was infuriating. We ended up just going to play games without drinks. Once we started playing games it was a good time, but I would never come back here to enjoy food/bar service, considering they were extremely inattentive & out of almost everything. read more

As someone who works in the service industry, I give a lot of grace and appreciation for service and entertainment establishments and I typically over-tip more than I should... But this place... I went out of my way to download The yelp app just to express my disgust with this place. The bathrooms were disgusting and the service was awful. No one even made eye contact, let alone manned the bar and it took 10 minutes just to order a drink while I could see the servers messing around in the kitchen through the window. Overall, the place was dirty, and no one had any kind of genuine positive attitude in the entire establishment. We had a TV Right near us showing the game and even a Tabletop Speaker Box to listen to the game at our table. This was my first time at this location. I've been to many other D&B and I have to say that this one was by far the cleanest I've been to. The staff was super friendly and the food was good. It seemed a bit smaller than most of the other ones but if you go at a non peak time I don't think it would be too much of an issue. My son really wanted to do the Jurassic Park virtual reality, and had asked the moment he saw the commercial advertising it. We used the trip to Dave and Buster's as leverage for good behavior for almost 2 weeks so he was really excited when we said we were going! We arrived on Sunday 7/15 and it wasn't busy at all luckily. Walked in and the girl said "are you eating, if you're eating then eat first" and directed us to the host stand. As directed, we went to the host stand. The host was an older women who didn't acknowledge us, simply took some menus and started walking away. We assumed to follow and luckily we were core t as she motioned at a table. We sat. About 8 minutes later we were greeted and order a kids chicken tender meal and some drinks. We ordered our food at arrival of drinks. Kids meal comes out with a tiny tender that clearly had been ripped off of another one on the plate. We asked how many were supposed to come in the meal and the guy said "3 but those real small huh" and laughed. He said he'd see if he could bring another one. He brought 2 more which was considerate and the obvious thing to do, however they were beyond cold so my son wouldn't eat them. We get our food. Eat. We wait a considerate amount of time to cash out and realize we can't even remember what our server looks like. We check the time thinking maybe she left. 16 minutes pass and we still can't find her. The manager comes over and says we look like we are ready...yeah we are. He checks us out because he too couldn't find our server. We then approach the front stand for tokens. At this point. I'm over it. We stand there in front of an unattended GREETING station for 19 minutes while one of looks for help. 6 people get in line behind us. 2 break off and start looking for help as well. The bartender who had 2 guests at the ENTIRE bar has already made eye contact several times and never offered help. We had to approach and almost beg to get tokens. Ridiculous. A perfectly fine mega fun palace chocked full of entertainment, food and drinks. TVs are everywhere, at least around the bar and dining area, so there is no chance of missing whatever team sport game you desire. Service was a bit slow but I expected as much on a packed Saturday night. The drink menu does not have prices which really is annoying and deceitful. We had cocktails and beers and on average, the drinks were in the $8-10 range. We had the spinach and nacho chip appetizer and it was yummy but overpriced considering the amount of dip included. As far as games go, we had game cards included in our $10 admission that worked for most games that did not spit out tickets for prizes. Headed over to D&B's today to show my sister, a recent transplant to Kentucky, a good time. We wanted sustenance more than gaming,as that will come at another time. I have been a fan of Dave and Buster's as far back as twenty years ago when they were my main hang out in Chi-town. So I was super excited when they opened one in my Northern Kentucky habitat. I really wanted to give this location 5 stars, however what prohibits me from doing so is a few key factors that they will need to work on to earn the coveted 5. Firstly, your food is wayyyyyyyy too pricey for the mediocre flavors presented. Your menu should be held up to the same standards as your extensive and impressive drink list. Secondly, you look as though you have an adequate amount of help but it seems to take an inordinate amount of time to be served. Please work on that D&B, because it is particularly irritating to see people flitting about in a seemingly aimless way, when the bartender not only has to tend bar but also has to take our table order. He was a friendly and knowledgeable chap but I personally feel he was juggling the bar and tables which to me seemed unfair. Now on to the food, i didn't drink an alcohol lest this review would be rendered illegible. My sister had some type of forbidden mojito type drink which she seemed to love. I stuck with diet coke products. I ordered the mountain of nachos which I can definitely compliment that the nacho chips were nice and crispy. The chili on top tasted similar to canned Hormel style chili, wouldn't be surprised if that was what was used. Nothing remarkable about this dish, next! The bagel wrapped hot dogs were good with some type of spicy mustard like sauce. They reminded me of the ones from that pretzel place in the mall. My sister had a buttermilk chicken breast on a brioche bun with breaded fried onions, bacon and candied jalapenos, and it tasted ok. We finished it off with bananas foster style cake/pie? not sure, but i wanted cheesecake and it was the closest thing to it. Bill came to around 54 dollars for two folks and this did not include an gaming tokens. Last year we celebrated my son's birthday at D&B's and spend more than 115.00 for a group of 4 not including tips so I knew I would be spending coming in. In future, what I plan on doing is either only buying an appetizer or two and drinks or eating before coming and committing time to gaming and drinks. Tonight was an AMAZING first D&B experience for my buddy and I. First off, they seated us right away which was super awesome. In addition, our server was VERY helpful and informative when explaining what certain dishes consisted of and what deals were going on and how to utilize them to the fullest. I must admit, as an experienced salesman, I did notice his clever use of whats known as the FAB technique. This is a technique used by most salesmen that involves stating the FEATURES of the product, in my case he used the new customer deal which gave me a game card with $20 of coins along with my meal, the ADVANTAGE of this was that my meal, essentially would be $4 and some change after factoring in the price of the card and coins which was included in my $25 meal, so this did come up as something I would like to take advantage of. The server then concluded his FAB technique with mentioning the benfits to choosing that "package" by stating each game averages about 20 coins a game and he broke down just how much could be done. He was an excellent salesman. He did all of this with a smile and awesome interaction. I found his upbeat personality to be very pleasent, it seemed like he actually wanted to be there. We waited about 10 minutes for our meals, a philly cheese steak and 5 chicken strips. This was surprising, we felt it was very quick. The food was also VERY tasty and filling. After eating, we played alot of games. we found that the games ranged from 3.3 coins per game for thbgs like Basketball all the way up to 10 coins per game for things like claw machines, deal or no deal, racing games and other games that allow you to win a high amount of tickets. With our 100 coin cards we were able to play for a solid hour which led to us refilling our cards with an additional $25 worth of coins (130 coins). Not a bad deal. At the end of the night we were able to accrue a total of 1,300 tickets to use for merchandise. We did find that most of the good things like electronics, plush toys and things that were more appropriate for our age, 23 were nearly impossible to buy during one stay, reaching 8,000 tickets for a giant 36" plush doll. The room rental was very reasonable, and private. We chose the Eat & Play combos, and there are enough choices on that menu to accommodate everyone (including those with gluten intolerance). This was our first visit and there were positive and negative aspects. First o ff, let me say that all the commercials I had ever seen were very misleading. They depict Dave and Busters as an adult atmosphere. This is so untrue. We would have been better off going to Fatty Town and saving a ton of money. There were so many unsupervised brats running around it was extremely offputting. Watched some girl slap another one in the face. HARD!!! Another girl was kicking some boy in the prize redemption room. The games are another situation. They have a really decent selection. The credit system is designed so that you don't completely empty your card. On top of being required to pay an activation fee to play their games, the credits are in decimal points. So for example, if you have fifty credits on your card, or any other amount, your going to find it just about impossible to empty your card because instead of having values like an actual arcade, their games charge 6.9, 4.9, 10.9 credits and so on. The entire establishment is completely against the customer. I'm not sure how the name has become as large as it is with these sorts of practices. FOOD; The food menu is another system stacked against its customers. As first time customers, we were at first put off by the menu prices. Then we see the insert that advertises the eat and play special prices. My 3 companions ordered off that, I ordered off the regular menu, a 14.00 cheeseburger that had its most powerful taste coming from the ketchup. My wife ordered a Philly cheesesteak with the works, and received a plain sandwich. She had to wait quite a while before they brought out a really small cup of onion and pepper, About 2 tablespoons at most. So all in all, we made it a decent time out by enjoying each other's company. The only thing inspired about the menu are the alcoholic drinks, which are colorful. They are also copycats of other famous original drinks. I would advise against getting anything that's deeply fried, it's extremely greasey. We get back to the games and my son goes around the corner to play a game and he has a man following him (probably early 30's) flipping him off and eyeballing him. We asked for an escort out of the building and the female manager just acted as if it wasn't a big deal and the old man cop said he would walk us out. Dave and Busters open in Florence Kentucky and I was so thrilled that we finally have something to do for the adults. My son and I went on opening weekend just to check it out and we had an absolute blast. The problem is is that if you have a family of three or four you're not walking out with less than $150 spent.
