I've stayed at this hotel before but never tried the restaurant. It looks nice and is convenient. The booths were an extremely tight fit and I witnessed other diners request a different seat because it was uncomfortable. Service was lacking and menu options were not very exciting. Seemed like the bar got more attention than those dining. We weren't very hungry but shared some apps. I only enjoyed the shrimp which for nearly $20 you only get 6 pieces. Additionally I was overcharged by $3 on my credit card. read more

Bartender was very friendly and nice. Staff is very friendly but stayed in the back a lot more than I am used to seeing. The steak and fries really had no flavor. That irritates me. It sounds gorgeous on the menu and then you are immediately bummed out. And, they used flank steak cut the wrong way so you have to saw through it. Had to be the toughest $44 steak I have ever had. Used 1/3 of a bottle of Worcestershire sauce to get it down. I asked for medium cooked and they DID give me medium, so very happy about that. The food had beautiful presentation. Just had no flavor whatsoever. The bar itself is super clean. Really it's more like 5 stars for staff likability and presentation and 1 star for the bland food and poor cut of beef at a ridiculously high price. Gave em 3 as an average. read more

Very standard airport hotel restaurant. I ordered the steak frites medium rare and got a very well done steak, but they quickly replaced it. The Parmesan fries were crispy but not very flavorful. When I was there, there was only one chef working but the staff was very transparent and helpful. read more

Bistro Danielle is located in the Doubletree Hilton Hotel at CVG Airport. I ate most of my meals here, morning, noon and night for 15 days while I was working a job fair that my company held at the hotel. Here's why the restaurant earns 5 stars: Breakfast: The buffet offers a fruit bar, cereal bar (including homemade granola), bread & jam station, a juice station, a hot bar featuring scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy and a dairy bar. In addition, you can order eggs and omelets off the menu. Coffee is fresh and re-freshed quickly by the hard working morning crew. Shout out to Becky! Lunch: The asian salad, club sandwich, and cobb salad were my favorites! Warning - the salads are huge! Dinner: Hamburgers! Really delicious hamburgers! Bar: Fabulous service from all the bartenders! I had a Cincy-Made Rhinegeist TRUTH IPA nearly every day. I adore this beer! My colleagues liked the wine selection and I thought that their cocktails were pretty awesome! I guess about the same of many hotel restaurants, but i hate saying this because some hotels have great restaurants. This was rather slow, took 35 minutes to get my order and I ordered right off the menu and there were few people occupying the tables. My vegetables were undercooked, they were supposedly braised or roasted but had no char or grill marks at all. Brisket was hard and leathery, seems like it was old. When I have to over pay because I'm trapped at the hotel I at least want a decent quality for that higher cost but I did not get that. I've been told breakfast is decent here but I've never been as I'm usually rushing out to a meeting. read more

An underwhelming hotel bar/restaurant overall. As a guest at the hotel, I had both lunch and dinner here. Way overpriced. For lunch I got the Thai spring rolls and the boneless wings. I should have known better with the spring rolls, but both plates were just bad. Spring rolls were way overdone, overly crunch outside with a gross mushy inside. Wings were underdone, soggy breading with questionable chicken chunks. For dinner I got the hummus plate to start off and the pork chop for dinner. The pita with the hummus plate got cold quick, and since it was thin crunchy pita to start off....you get the idea. The pork chop was bland, the potatoes were bland, and the veggies were eh. Only thing that saves this place is the service. Great bartender/server who worked the whole Sunday. Don't get suckered by the good service and good drinks, go somewhere else for food. read more

"Best breakfast restaurant", if you're staying in the hotel. Re-read that enough times to get it. Waiter (Layne) was VERY courteous and helpful. He was the best part of the whole experience. Johnny-on-the-spot with seating, a carafe of great coffee, checking up on me, answering questions, etc. Omelet was great and was exactly what I ordered. Why not 4+ stars?... ...I posted some photos showing -- despite showing up more than 30-60 mins* before they stopped serving (desk operator said they stopped "around 1030"..."around") -- I was lucky to forage from the leftovers. *Later found out they stopped at 11, so when a guest calls downstairs and asks; "around 1030" evidently means "1100". Very Spinal Tap-ish. I helped them empty the fresh blueberries, but there were other empty fruit bowls, oatmeal add-ons, one lonely piece of bacon, and an empty "mystery" section that must've been great, stayed away from the apples, since one was rotting. Grilled potato wedges were overflowing, tho...no prob with them. Ok, I get it: Saturday morning at the airport hotel is not necessarily the busiest time but... ...What Would Conrad Think ? If Conrad was at the airport Hilton, he'd think he better show up earlier in order to sample everything offered that morning. (But, not the apples.) Get the omelet. It's great. read more

It didn't give me food poisoning or anything (thumb up - this is literally the only positive about my experience in this janky shithole of a hotel), hence the absolutely objective second star. I didn't end up puking my guts up, but people reviewing this spot like it is anything other than an absolutely basic opportunity for calories served in a captive-audience restaurant setting piss me off. Ffs, don't make people think they can get something they'll actually enjoy, let alone make people not staying here think it's worth a visit - what the fresh hell? It's an absolutely basic hotel-nearly-inside-the-airport-but-still-without-any-competition restaurant. What? After the nightmare of getting checked in and into your room, you're going to figure out how to get around this effed up construction thru confusing airport terminal routes to the airport exit in the dark when gps isn't accurate and you're not from here, then find something else that's tasty and be back at the hotel before midnight? Cool - good luck, go with G*d - you are more confident than I was after working a stressful 11 hour day followed by a four hour drive. Food didn't taste like anything, despite fairly fresh ingredients. Menu offers the same handful of ingredients swapped around for boring menu items that rely far more on 'assembly' than 'heating', let alone 'cooking.' Service was fine, although I waited at the host stand for awhile with no service staff on the floor, my water was never refilled (never offered a refill, despite being asked several times if I wanted more alcohol with my meal). At least my order was correct, I guess. Prices were excessive and I would have needed a hinged jaw to eat the items I was served, as served, with any level of table manners. Ffs, single pieces of lettuce in a side salad should not be the size of 3" x 5" cards. Salad can't be cut with a butter knife in a square bowl. I couldn't be fussed to come back for FREE breakfast the next morning, if that tells you something. read more

Ambiance is one word to sum up this place. Very cool environment. Not sure it reminds me of a bistro more of a Russian square. First off high end liquor and excellent whiskey selection. I started with a homemade soup of the day. It was one of the best tomato soups I have ever eaten. It did come out luke warm and I would have preferred it to be hotter. Main course I took the bartenders suggestion and went with the turkey club. Very good! Real turkey cooked on the premises. Bartenders very always on top of things, but bring your wallet things are very pricey! read more

What a disappointing experience. I've eaten here numerous times over the past two years. While I've always had somewhat of a mediocre experience, I was so displeased tonight that I felt it necessary to warn you. After waiting at the hostess stand longer than I should've had to wait, I was seated and waited another 10 minutes before my server arrived. I asked for (what I thought was) an EASY, QUICK meal: a Pepsi, a small Caesar salad and a chicken flatbread (appetizer). I requested a straw which was never delivered (after 15 long minutes). I had to ask another server to help me. My server advised me that my salad would be "right out" as there was a "mix-up" in the kitchen. It arrived 10 minutes later, smaller than what I ordered. My server comped the $3 salad, which was very nice of her. I then waited another 10 minutes for my appetizer, flatbread to arrive. . By that time, my appetite had all but disappeared. After a 12-hour day of work, believe me ... this is the LAST place you want to come to eat. No one wants to wait over an 70 minutes for average-tasting food. Sorry, but you guys really need to step up your game. read more

Very good food and reasonably priced for a hotel restaurant. Had the Chef's Special Cobb Salad last night and sampled the local brew, Rhinegeist. I always appreciate when a hotel restaurant gets behind a local brewery! breakfast this morning was excellent, and the service for both dinner last night and this morning's breakfast was top notch. This restaurant is located in the Doubletree hotel just outside of the Cincinnati airport. I have stayed at this hotel many times and I've eaten at this restaurant a number of times. Tonight I had the chefs special which was a blackened tuna with brown rice and coleslaw. The cost was only $18 and it was very good. The tuna was cooked perfectly and the slaw was good as well. Every time I've eaten at this restaurant it is always good. The cost on most the menu items seems to be a little high however. With that being said, if you're ever staying at the Doubletree in front of Cincinnati airport please stop in and have a meal at this restaurant. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised eating here. The food was good, not just for a hotel bistro, but overall. We had the crab cakes, previously frozen but cooked well over a bed of spinach, a french onion soup, which was hearty and had the right amount of cheese, a tuna sandwich, mushroom with bleu cheese burger and the lava cake dessert with black raspberry ice cream. The food was good but really the best part of the place was Lynn. She was engaging, fun and knowledgeable. Just ask about Graeter's ice cream and you will learn something. She was really a fun part of the experience of eating here and recommend this place on her alone. She was efficient and not all in our space but felt comfortable.
