The food was amazing too! On the way out, I noticed that it said that you may be looking for new staff and as a semi retiree, I can't imagine working any place more fun! I was very fortunate many many years ago to meet Dave and Buster at an event which was a great fundraiser. I can see that there. Haven't been in years and wanted to check out the new location. Came for happy hour. The bartender told us "everything behind the bar" is half off. We ordered a shared specialty drink. When we got the bill though, we were told none of the shared drinks were half off. Also there's no prices on the menu for the specialty drinks which is deceiving. We were initially charged $50 for our drink but when we asked why it was so much, they eventually gave us the half off for HH. There's only drink specials for HH. No food specials. Got the chicken cantina nachos. It's a tiny portion with barely 1-2 oz of chicken! For $17.99 it's not worth the price. For a similar price, you get 2-3 times the amount at yard house! Compared to the pic, you get half the portion. The people next to us ordered queso and chips and they were served more chips with their queso than we got. There was a hair in our food too so the manager replaced it which was still a small portion and they took it off our bill which was good. Games were fun and loved the new interactive game rooms which were on special for $5 per person for 20 min. They basically got 1 star for their food and drink false advertising. 3-4 stars for their service and nice new space. read more

Walking in... this place sounded like a casino! Friendly staff greeted us immediately to guide where things were. Pretty spacious. If you have "old cards" you need to update them at the rewards booth. They'll transfer all $ & points over. There were 2 bars... a walk up near the games with 6-8 high top tables & a 2nd walk up near the dining section. If you want to sit to dine you need to check in with the hostess who will put your name on the list, grab your cell # & you'll get a text when the table is ready. Dining area is spacious. Went last night (day before a holiday) and it started to get hopping around 6:30pm. Saw some of the reviews here but common guys, gotta give the crew a break while they break in the new place and processes. All the workers seemed upbeat and helpful. The sampler platter we had was pretty good....so good we ordered two. The sliders and lemon/pepper wings were damn good. Ok, so onto the stuff they need to improve within this area......cell service. Now I get it, we are under tons of concrete and getting a signal will be difficult.....but not impossible. Please work on bringing up WiFi service or install cell boosters so people can access their phones while waiting for their food or if there ever is a need for an emergency call. I'm hoping the lack of coverage is part of the growing pains, but I think management should look into this and see that it could pose a safety issue. read more

Great place to have fun with your family , there's entertainment for everyone to enjoy, and everything is super clean! We ate first before we started playing, and the food was surprisingly really good. We ordered the nachos, steak power bowl, loco moco, and finished off with the brownie ice cream. Our server and the rest of the staff were very attentive and friendly. He checked on us often, and another lady with glasses also came by to make sure we were taken care of. They even gave our son a little spoon to enjoy his food with and provided sharing plates without us having to ask, such thoughtful service! We had a blast at the arcade; our son didn't want to leave. All the games were so fun, and you can even bring your drinks in, they have tables at every corner so you can set your things down and just enjoy. We threw our friend a surprise birthday party and Dave & Buster's made it so easy and fun! We were able to get a private section with a booth, bar seating, and they even brought over another table for cake, gifts, etc. The booking process is super easy and you can either call or do it all online. We even had a dedicated server that was always around- service was top tier. For all of this, all we had to do was spend a minimum of $300. From fried pickles, cheese sticks, to chicken wings, and even cheesesteak egg rolls. In the best way, this is the type of food that brings you back to your childhood. Alcohol, games, and fried food? What can be better! I really liked the barbacoa quesadilla and we also had an order of guac so we were really able to add extra guac on it. I also had a few bites of their creamy pasta and it had such good umami! For drinks, I had their spicy hombre, which is their version of a spicy margarita. They have a full bar and a ton of different drink options. From beer, wine, and unique cocktails. Don't miss out on their happy hour! We were quickly seated and given time to look over the menu. Their menu looks like it was upgraded from their previous location. I decided on the caesar salad and my friend got their loaded nachos. We both got a passionfruit mojito. Our drinks looked incredible but tasted even better! It was so refreshing with the fresh taste of the mint leaves. Great happy hour deals for the pour your own draft beer bar ($0.25 per oz) with a good selection of local beers. Excellent and friendly service from Jason who man's the pour your own station. He bled the kegs for us to ensure a good first pour of the day. Games were REALLY expensive though. Air hockey was 12credits (on a smaller than standard table) for a game that ends at a 7point score. The hot wheels racing game was 9credits per lap per player. We spent $45 in 45 minutes in just games. Definitely felt not good about that. read more

Although there are some cool new games, it definitely feels like there are less machines & bigger gathering/eating areas. The gaming area, especially, seems pretty cramped. If you're coming here to eat, I would recommend the shareable appetizers. Everything I've tried that aren't appetizers are pretty mediocre. Service can be pretty slow at the restaurant and walk up bar if you go at a busy time. Regardless, D&B's will always be a fun gathering place for family & friends. read more

I was pleasantly surprised coming here last night. It was a Wed which meant half off games. I got the playcard and meal for $25 which was not too bad. Tyra was our server and she was super helpful when it came down to choosing our drinks. Chicken strips and fries plus a $10 gamecard that lasted me for about 4 games (then I had to leave) so it probably has more chips on it. I must admit as a mom and grandmother, I tend to obsess & worry about everything. However, that evening was perfect with no hiccups or Oopsies. We got seated right away. Hubby ordered the Red Bull Energy Drink which is $3.99 on the menu but was charged $5.49 on the receipt. The waitress who brought the Red Bull just left the can on the table with a straw and left. Don't even provide a glass with ice as shown on the picture on the menu. We all miss the old ward location, and we all miss how lively the other location was, but in due time, this place will also have the same sort of feel again. Service was awesome, papi chulo queso was fireeeee and the smash burger was on another level. What really sets this place off though and it's silly as I write this, is the crispness of the Dr Pepper and other sodas. Soda drinkers know about this and I assure you, order the soda here as a drink, as a chaser as a to go, it is amazing! Games are still expensive as hell, kids are still annoying running around, but the drinks are strong and they'll be entertained for the 45 mins to 2 hours you are there. Dave and Busters is located in Ward Village in Honolulu. They have their own attached, free parking garage with two floors. There's also a movie theater connected to D&B as well if you'd like to play some games and then catch a movie. You enter in on the second floor where you can purchase playing cards for the games. Take the escalator to the third floor where it's crazy loud but fun. This is where all of the games will be found. They do have virtual reality games but some of them are extra on top of the playing cards. There's a mixture of games and ticket earning games. Those you can collect and spend in the shop when you're done. You can order drinks and food at the bar/tables upstairs and downstairs, just keep in mind, it's LOUD upstairs. The service can also be slightly slow upstairs. Otherwise, it's a nice get away for the kids from your normal beach day in the hussle and bussle of Waikiki. read more

Showed up with a cake and two additional kids who were dropped off for the party only to be told they "tried" to cancel reservations because it's fight night. No prior notification, no table, and told it would be hours for the next table. Completely unacceptable and unbelievably poor management. IF YOU CANT HONOR RESERVATIONS ON FIGHT NIGHTS, DON'T ALLOW THEM IDIOTS. All the manager said was she understood... ok so why aren't you finding a solution? No sorry, nothing. DnBs is suppose to be family friendly but it's obvious they just care about their fight nights and packed bar. As longtime fans of the original Dave & Buster's, my crew and I finally checked out the new Ala Moana location, and it definitely sparked some nostalgic comparisons. While the sheer size and open layout are impressive upgrades, the vibe felt just a tad different than what we were used to. It was great to see so many familiar faces among the staff! Knowing that our favorite folks from the old spot were able to transition over was a real plus. Our history with Dave & Buster's goes way back (hello, gold card!), so seeing those friendly smiles was comforting. The biggest change we noticed right off the bat was the table situation. Gone are the days of just grabbing any open spot. Now you check in with a host, which honestly, could be a good thing for managing the flow. We had a large group and went during peak dinner time, so the estimated 45-minute wait was surprisingly reasonable, especially since we could keep ourselves entertained in the game area. The dining area is much more spacious, and the quick service from our friendly server was a huge win. We all enjoyed our food, and it came out promptly. The game selection was a solid mix of beloved classics and some fun new additions. Even with the crowds, we were able to hop around and try a bunch of different games. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at the new Dave & Buster's. It's definitely a step up in terms of space and efficiency. While it carries a slightly different atmosphere than the cozy familiarity of the old location, it's still a great spot for food, fun, and friendly faces. Apparently there is a $200 deposit, and $400 minimum for certain size reservations. Not a fan of that...we easily spent more since we also played games. Well, despite the deposit, we were told our table was not ready at the time of our reservation. We were even told to go check on the other floors to see if we could get a table. Eventually Hostess offered to do that, since really didn't seem like our job. She was very sweet, but there was some disconnect with her duties and whatever the system there is. Finally they have it figured out and our table was actually ready the entire time. Manager apologized and we were finally seated. Frustrating start. Our waitress really sweet. Hapai too...and still running around like nothing. Queso super tasty...super small for the price though. Food pretty good...fish and chips got devoured, chicken sandwich not dry, ribs pretty good...everyone enjoyed their meals. Games are always fun, even if many aren't working properly with no intentions of fixing prior to the closure/relocation. Went on Sunday with a group of young adults from my church after our night service! I love that there is just sooo much to do at this new location! It is a bit overstimulating for sure! Nonetheless, we were instantly greeted by someone working the front and was hosted to a dart board section. Staff are warm and welcoming. Last time, i had Sarah, who was my bartender and she was also superv! I loved how she really manages her area. Great with service orchestration! As mentioned, this place is huge and there is so much going on. We were quickly introduced by our server, Phillip! I think he did an amazing job with checking in on us! He didn't seem like he was rushing us. With a big group, he handled us very well and there was about 18 of us. Needless to say, we weren't an easy bunch, but we were patient and he was too! He kept my glass filled as i was the only one with a soft drink! The food, even the last time, was really delicious! I got the crisp and guac again! I am not a huge fan of guac but it was delightful and I will definitely always be ordering it! I got the honey bbq wings with ranch and that day it was $10 for 10 pcs(exclusive on "game days") if im not mistaken! The only thing I would probably avoid is anything fried. I tried the fish and chips from a friend and that was somehow a bit sweet. It was tasting like funnel cake, which is something they sell in fry form. The garlic fries seemed ok though, quite delicious actually, but maybe that's why they heavily salt it. Luckily, i love salty fries and didn't mind that. After having the fish and chips though, maybe it's to overcompensate the sweetness in the fry. Overally, i would definitely be back to try the barbacoa quesadillas because that looked fire! With the dart board service, i guess we get ONE complimentary picture as well. Not sure if it was due to our party size. However, it was nice... they offered other "filtered" options as well. The guy wasn't pushy in having us purchase one, which was nice! I would definitely be back to try different things on the menu! I definitely enjoyed "the arena" section of the games too! Okay the new dave & buster isn't worth it.. i ordered and wanted to try the cauliflower elote and the chip and guacamole but the waiter said they did not have it. Then i ordered the barbacoa quesadillas and brussels and cheese sticks... ah the Brussels need some kind of sauce or flavor, the cheese sticks were like a weird salty. Almost like they used a very salty cheese... ah not that good. Kris order the smash burger and she said she as not greatest burger. The poor waiter was having problems with the electronic ordering pad they use.. plus i swear most of the crew in there were just standing around... ah good to try but no need to go back. And the parking is crap... i must say chuck e cheese is a million times better. Didn't want to write this but seeing as my refund was never issued nor has management reached out to me or returned my calls , and seems to be in a meeting anytime I've called I have no choice but to write this. Came in Monday February 16th to have a family day since my nephew and in laws were off for president day. I've haven't had a chance to go to this new location, since the old ward spot closed. Started off good, we were the first ones to enter when they opened and were seated immediately, they seemed to be short staffed as it did take around 45 mins for our food to come out. Not a big problem since there was about 6 of us and we were there to have family time. Our meals alone plus power cards and tip came out to almost $400. We did tip quite well and was understanding of the wait because our server Victor (I believe that was his name or Vincent) was really trying and was doing very well despite him being in the only waiter we saw when they opened. Now after our meal is when things started going down hill. Some machines weren't available, and some of the machines were swarmed by young preteens and teens. I get it's an arcade there will be kids and teens, however I could have sworn D&B did not allow anyone under 21 without a supervising adult ? I know a few years back at the old location they always had security checking your id to even get into the place. Back then I couldn't even bring in my family that was under 21 because I myself wasn't 25/26 yet which was the age limit to be a supervising adult. If I was by myself that day I wouldn't care as much, but I had my 7 year old nephew. A few times he got pushed out of the way by groups of unsupervised kids and teens. Not to mention the times he bent to grab his prize from the claw machine and another teen swooped in to take over the machine he clearly wasn't done playing with. The finale straw however was when I had reloaded his card to do an unlimited play timed to be able to just play to his heart content. He wanted to do the roller coaster ride game and do all 5 options. No one was on it at all or near it so I took him there. About 4 modes in with 2 left a group of teen girls come. They clearly hear me and him and him telling me he's ready for the last two. During our 2nd to last round the group has now grown to 8 teenagers no adults or supervisors for them. I tell them this is his last one and then they can go, instead they tell me why can't we share and take turns.... He's a child that has one more you are a group of 8 means 4 turns before he can just finish if we let them go. I told him he's a child just let him finish. While we are trying to finish this ride the group of 8 teens move closer to his side where it's open so he's surrounded by teens. He's already uncomfortable and grabs my arm. At this point the ride is ending and it is short, I grab him and help him off of my side while we look for management. I finally found a manager who tells me he will give me a refund for the unlimited play as I still had quite a bit of time on it and my nephew was done with this place. For a kid to feel so uncomfortable that he's willing to leave an arcade is terrible. Spent a few hundreds on this place, with no regards from the management. read more

Wednesday Half off games and 50% off of FOOD!!! What a deal for an evening of fun and happy tummies on a budget. The food: Wifey - Salmon Bowl all salad. She loves this dish. The fish has a great seat and tons of flavor. Lots of healthy cooked and fresh veggies with some beans. Daddy- Bacon Burger and Fries. Hands down I think one of the best bacon burgers. If you love BACON, you'll agree. They do not skimp on bacon, it's LOADED!!! Creamy garlic aioli and bacon jam adds the sweet and salty with a zinggg to each bite. I always ask for an extra side of the garlic aioli. Now just be warned, because it's half of games and half of food.......the restaurant is also LOADED. First time here. My friends and I met here for an impromptu meeting. Might not be an ideal spot for a meeting due to the noise level but the beer was cold and the appetizers were good. We started out with amn order of tap beer served in a mini pressurized tap which pours about 5 beers. The nachos were covered with a white queso sauce that was actually pretty good, better than it looks anyway. The quesadilla was generously stuffed with chicken and cheese, with sour cream, guacamole and pico de Gallo. Very good. We finished with the slider and mini hotdog sampler which I thought was just OK. We didn't come here for the games but there was a lot of that going on and lot's of kids and adults enjoying the entertaining games. They do reservations for large groups and the service was great considering the crowd that were in this establishment. I hope they do well because this is a big space to remain empty. read more
