Osoyami is our go to bar spot and honestly it is hard to beat for a casual night out. There is a ton of seating which makes it easy to come with friends, and everyone who works here is consistently friendly and welcoming. It never feels rushed even when it is busy. One of my favorite parts is the entertainment. They have three arcade games you can play for free and a dart area, which makes it a fun place to hang out rather than just sit and drink. The alcohol selection is large and there is something for everyone. They also have two food menus which is a huge plus. One from Izakaya Hideyoshi and one from Osoyami itself. I usually order from the Izakaya menu and got the Gyu Don during happy hour for $13. Super affordable for the quality you get and very satisfying. Osoyami's own food menu also has happy hour options and overall the food is delicious. I will say the burger quality has gone down a bit compared to before, but the fries are still really good. Service is fairly fast for a busy bar, which I appreciate. Drinks and food come out in a reasonable amount of time even during peak hours. The ambiance is dark and cozy but the place itself is clean and tidy, not grimy like some bar settings can be. Parking can be a bit tough. They only have around 12 spots and they fill up quickly, but I usually can find street parking nearby without too much trouble. Food is consistently amazing, but unfortunately the service has been consistently disappointing. I've been here multiple times on different days of the week and at different times of day. There are about three servers who are always attentive, friendly, and on top of things. The rest have often come across as rude, inattentive, or forgetful. I'm honestly not sure if it's because my group and I don't usually drink alcohol, but it's noticeable. On my last visit, I asked for water and was served something that tasted like flat soda water. I politely asked for a glass of still water instead, and it never came. It was a slow night, too. The biggest issue is the lack of acknowledgment when you walk in. On three different occasions, the restaurant was busy and we had to wait by the door for an ID check. One time I waited nearly 30 minutes before leaving because no one ever acknowledged me. The other two times it was around 15 minutes before anyone even said hello. I don't mind waiting--I completely understand when restaurants are busy--but a simple "We'll be with you shortly" goes a long way. I'd also recommend asking for your check at least 20 minutes before you're ready to leave, because it can take that long (or longer) to receive it. The food is honestly the reason I keep coming back despite the service. I did try one cocktail once, and it wasn't very good, so I usually just order water since I'm not much of a beer drinker. For context, I'm a bartender/server myself, so I have a lot of patience for mistakes, long ticket times, and the realities of a busy restaurant. What stands out to me isn't the occasional delay--it's the lack of attentiveness and the attitude from many of the staff. We went here on Friday night. It was our first time. It was not crowded when we got there, but it was pretty full by the time that we left. We tried some happy hour food and their regular menu. This spot is Honolulu's hidden gem Came on a Saturday night and this place is literally amazing. The vibe is very friendly and casual with a full service bar and arcade games in the corner. All the burgers are like $12 which is unheard of in this economy. Well drinks are $4 (which I took full advantage of) and the owner Blaine was working that day and is the best and took shots with us. Let me say that the $4 well tequila is the smoothest best tequila I've ever had in my life. Like I cannot lie I have never had better. The burger was also amazing. The only thing was they charged me wrong (1 less) so the server forgot to give me back my credit card after the second transaction. I was notified a little while after i left that my card was still there, so i had to go back for it. When i did, the parking lot was already full and so was the inside. so if you do decide to come, its prob. better if you show up right at opening. only because it seemed like they had just 2 servers and probably just 1 sushi chef so the wait time might be long. My good friend - da FAMOUS Auntie - Nadine C. had invited me for meal at this place called - "Izakaya Hideyoshi", but she told me that da Izakaya joint was inside a place called - Osoyami Bar & Grill. The menus for both Osoyami Bar & Grill and Izakaya Hideyoshi is on the booth tables, as you need to scan the QR codes to look at the menus. Although the Izakaya Hideyoshi menu looked good, I was mostly fascinated with da bar food at Osoyami Bar & Grill. I ordered the following items - 1. My friend and I were looking for a place to eat that's open late at night and I stumbled upon this place on Yelp. I'm vegetarian so I was happy to see online that they had a vegan menu. I ordered the vegan pokechos and my friend (who is not vegetarian) tried the vegan teriyaki burger. Both were amazing. Continuing on my search for the best poke nachos in Honolulu, I came across Osoyami Bar & Grill on Yelp. When I arrived a little before 6pm, there were a number of people waiting in their cars for the bar to open, which certainly was a good sign. The neighborhood itself, however, had some sketchy characters. I probably wouldn't stop by on my own in the late evening. They're open from 6pm - 2am, with happy hour from 6-7pm. Upon entering, I realized it was your typical bar and grill with dark walls, loud music, and booths that have been well loved. I came here for one thing and one thing only... their poke nachos! It arrived to my table within 10 minutes and it was a huge plate of spicy ahi poke, wonton chips, kabayaki sauce, spicy sauce, furikake and green onions for $16. Clearly this plate is meant to be shared, but since I was by myself I finished nearly the whole plate! The poke nachos had crispy chips (although they didn't appear to be wonton chips), spicy ahi that was not very spicy, and lots of sauce and green onions. You really can't go wrong with all of these ingredients combined! It's not the "best" poke nachos I've ever had, but it was very good and I'd definitely recommend it! They had a variety of other bar pub food items on their menu, including a few vegan items. Service was decent. The food came out fast and they checked on me at least twice. This place is like 2 restaurants in one. They offer great quality sushi and great quality Burgers and fries. The prices are very reasonable and on par with most sushi bars. They even have a Vegan Menu. You'll find dart boards, and video games inside. The staff here is really friendly and very attentive. If you are looking for a bar scene to visit with good quality food, this is the place for you. The only negatives about this place is that the parking lot is very small with limited street parking. No offense to the other similar bars on Oahu, but Osoyami is seriously so SLEPT ON. I can't believe it's taken me this long to finally leave a review for them. If Oahu had a stamp card for bars you need to visit, I would put Osoyami as one of them. This place is my husband and I's favorite bar and I am excited to share about it with you and maybe we'll see you there! First, the area around Osoyami was so unassuming. If the "OPEN" sign wasn't lit I wouldn't have known if they were open or not. The first time we ever came here was for a trivia night a year or two ago. The parking was packed and it was hard to find a spot, so if you come during a peak time, be prepared to double park (which is fine), but I feel like that may be the only thing you don't like about this bar. By the way, there was a sign that said to let the bar know if you're double -parked so it seems like they try their best to help customers find parking in their lot which seems a lot safer than street parking in the surrounding area. When you walk in you'll notice all the seating and I'm guessing you can sit wherever you want. I forgot to mention that the most recent time around we came in at 7PM on a Sunday so there was no patrons in the bar except for F&F of the bartender. This place is great for groups, but most tables are for four people. Aside from drinks there's fighting arcade games, a bunch of TVs with different events being broadcasted, and three dart machines. Did I mention the fighting games are free? If you come early enough you could just go, go, go with your friends until the crowd shows up. I do hope they add more games though, just because one of the games were broken when we were there and the concept of free games really drew us in and made us want to stay (we could have but we were trying to hit up multiple bars that night). Okay, now let's talk about the food. There's two menus but you can order from both from the server for your table; our server was Hua and she was amazing and so personable. We love servers who love to talk to their customers! One menu is bar food and the other is restaurant food. My friend ordered a Donburi, truffle edamame, and spicy baby octopus. Osoyami is a hidden gem where you can get your bang for your buck. I absolutely love that they have their own parking lot, usually with enough spots to fit your entire party. They offer some really goods burgers. Their patty is a bit on the thinner side BUT take me up on this--their burger buns are FANTASTIC. Airy with a bit of crisp on the edges, ugh it was just so good. I personally really liked their mushroom Swiss burgers. Among their appetizers, I don't mind their Poke Nachos. It's great for the price, with crispy chips and the okonomiyaki sauce. The only thing is that their frozen ahi is very clearly frozen, it once came out slightly icy but with how good everything else was, it didn't mind too much. Osoyami has so much to offer! It's such a great bar and I honestly kind of want to keep it a secret. The bar is dimly lit, and has many arcade and dart games. On the day we went, there was a Street Fighter event going on and it was super lively. Popular anime opening songs were playing in the background. Happy Hour: Osoyami has one of best happy hour deals around town that occurs daily from 6pm-7pm, and all day Sunday. There is a small parking lot that super packed so you have to come right at 6pm sharp if you want to take advantage of their happy hour deal. Service: There were only two waitress/servers and let me tell you they were super attentive even though the place was super busy. They remembered to check in on us and remembered our order without even writing it down. Food: I've tried multiple things at this restaurant and I will say that most of the food is pretty good. I will say their menu is not for the health conscious but I never said I was I really enjoyed their kim chi pot stickers that are deep fried. Mozzarella sticks were also delicious but I also feel like you can't mess that up. We had the lemon pepper wings that were super hot and citrusy. I had the beastiality burger and it was almost the size of my head. The burger ($12) had a sauce on it that is similar to thousand island sauce. I felt like the burger was pretty good but also as good as bar food can be. Okay and now on to the best part. The reason why we all go here. For all of my Alchies, beers and well drinks are 3 dollars during happy hour. But even their cocktail menu are decently priced especially if you compare it to the rest of the bars. read more

This bar is a gem that is super affordable for your wallet! There is Trivia night on Wednesday at 7pm-8pm. They also offer happy hours til 6pm daily and all day on Sundays! Since it was my first time meeting some new people, this place is a way to some icebreakers for others to be comfortable to drink, or even just bar hopping since there was a lot of arcade games, and dart board. We so wanted to love this place. Wanted to HARD. A late night foodie joint that offers a mean vegan menu? Yes!! We lucked out and found parking in their tiny lot. It looks like there are stalls open till you start reading the signs. They're for different businesses, some which I did not see as they didn't seem to be in that parking lot. The music was loud. Like, really loud. And rock. Not pop rock like Sum 41, but more like screaming stuff from System of a Down. Which I generally don't mind, but not while I'm contemplating a great meal. Also the volume of the music meant everyone in there attempting to have a conversation with the people at their table were yelling to talk. It felt like mayhem but was really just a decent bar restaurant with the choice of music too loud. We didn't leave though as we were excited to try the food. They have their vegan menu desperate so it was easy to choose. We went with the edamame, Kim chee potstickers, volcano burger, and garlic fries. So excited! The food came out in decent time. The edamame landed first. We were hungry so we started mowing them down. They weren't steamed, or even pan fried, it seems like they were deep fried. Or at least some of them were as the entire thing was so crisp I could almost eat it like a potato chip. Tasty, but greasy. The potstickers came out next. Tasty, but greasy. Burger: looked amazing. Not bad. Garlic fries: tasty, but greasy. At the end of the meal we felt deaf and covered in grease. I've had this restaurant in my bookmarks for seven years and I finally came to use my gift card at Hideyoshi's sushi pop up. However, the sports bar itself did not disappoint. Imagine being able to get awesome and fresh sushi as well as nachos and french fries! What a dream! What's smart about the bar and having the sushi spot is that both of these restaurants can focus on what they do best but offer customers a varied experience. Osoyami has a small parking lot which is very helpful and every time I've been there, it's not had very many people. It's typically been a weekend around dinner time or a weekday around dinner time so I don't know what the crowd is like later. I've actually brought kids twice and they're OK with the underage crowd as long as they're out by 9 PM. I even had a large group gathering here to celebrate my friends sons 21st birthday. it was really fun and everyone enjoyed themselves. I've had the vegan burger, the nachos, edamame, tater tots, and ginger scallion l tofu. The surprise highlight was the ginger scallion tofu! It was terrific! There is definitely something for everyone on the menu and they have discounts until 7 PM. I think which is very generous for happy hour. read more

My friends and I came here for a late dinner during the week. When we arrived, we had our temperatures checked and were promptly seated afterwards. Food & drinks: They have a separate vegan menu that you can ask for, which I think is amazing! Vegan Friend Chicken Sandwich - This sandwich was delicious and hit the spot after what felt like a long day. It was flavorful, and I would definitely get it again. Lychee Spritzer - This cocktail was delicious. You could definitely taste the lychee flavor, and I thought the serving size was pretty generous. Two friends got the regular fried chicken sandwich, and they enjoyed their sandwiches too. My other friend got the standard burger, and he said it was the perfect meal to end our day with! He also got the Moscow mule, and he thought it was great. Service: When we arrived, we were greeted right away to do the temperature checks as well as put down our information down for tracking. We were seated promptly after. Our server came over to take our drink orders & took our food orders when our drinks came. Food came out pretty quickly after we ordered, which is always appreciated.
