Boy oh boy was this place awesome. My wife and I went here for one of our honeymoon dinners and we went kind of wild with the menu. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomach but we were determined to try a little of everything we wanted. I loved that the employees made it feel so special and wrote us congratulation cards for our wedding we had the night before and it was our 7 year anniversary and they set it up on our table before we got there. Starting off with the oysters and Crab legs for starters, definitely awesome taste. Our waiter Darren was so awesome and nice enough to de shell the legs for us and brought it out nice and hot. By the time we finished the legs and oysters we were half way full. The legs are a whole pound had tons of meat. Then we were served the main dishes, my wife got some sort of fish with a miso type of broth and vegetables which was not only filled with flavor but really nice and soft. I got the wagyu ribeye for myself and it didn't disappoint. It didn't help that I was already half way full when I got it but it was sooo good. It went so well with the sautéed brussel sprouts and baked potatoes we got on the side. By this time we couldn't even finish our food but we still had dessert coming. I forgot what it was but you can see for yourself in the picture. It was like a warm, soft chocolate cake with chocolate fudge in the middle with some vanilla ice cream to cool it down and when you bite into it, it just explodes with flavor. So so good. Lastly, Darren our waiter was so attentive and was very detailed with his description of the foods themselves and just went above and beyond with serving us. His gestures were hugely appreciated by both of us and I would definitely recommend him to anyone going to eat at this place. Keep in mind this place is quite high end, so you will be spending some good money but if you appreciate great service and food, it will be well worth it. My boyfriend and I went to Morton's for our anniversary! It was my first time to a steakhouse and I loved it! Tim was our server and was super welcoming and informative. He gave us great recommendations and was able to explain highlighted dishes to us. I got my filet mignon (12oz) as medium rare, my boyfriend got their Cajun ribeye as medium rare as well. Both were cooked to perfection! We wanted to try some of their sides as it was our first time dining at Morton's. Loved them all, but we'd probably just order the truffle fries and maybe try their mashed potato dish (which we didn't get this time). My boyfriend enjoyed their tossed salad- I did as well! We let them know in our reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary, so they decorated the table in celebration! Including a lava cake w/ vanilla ice cream on the house! Amazing place whether you are celebrating a special occasion, trading yourself, or going on a weekend date. The service was amazing from start to finish! The reservations are very easy to make online or on the phone. We were welcomed to an upscale ambiance and the waiter was excellent. Very knowledgeable and his recommendations were spot on. Morton's is my go-to for any occasion. Date night? Morton's. Birthday? Morton's. Anniversary? Morton's. Just because? Morton's. The Ala Moana location also has convenient parking, which is always a plus. My family from the East Coast was visiting and wanted their last dinner on the island to be at a steakhouse, so Morton's was an easy choice. They're pretty picky eaters who usually stick to steak, burgers, and chicken and aren't into local food, but everyone found something they liked. Even my grandpa, who is an EXTRA picky eater and barely eats much, finished his entire sea bass and potatoes au gratin. We went during Memorial Day weekend, so they had a $79 per person special that included a starter, entree, enhancement, side, and dessert. It was a really good deal for the amount of food you get. I usually order the ribeye, but the special convinced me to try the filet mignon instead, and it did not disappoint. I also tried the truffle butter enhancement for the first time and it was SO good. If you like your steak medium rare, order it medium rare plus** (if you know, you know.) It comes out perfect every time. I also love their mashed potatoes and mushroom/spinach side. The sides are huge and can easily feed 2/maybe 3 people, so we even had leftovers for the next day. I would say if there's no holiday special or celebratory special, it comes out to about $100/person that's worth every penny. The lighting is dim but sets a nice vibe, the servers are always professional, and they have private rooms for events. OOofff this place was hard to locate. The location is easily missed unless you know exactly what to look for. In Ala Moana, on the Bloomingdale's parking lot level, you'll be looking for an elevator to take you up to the restaurant level. The food here is so so good! It's fresh, service is fast, and everything has amazing flavor! All of the sides are large enough to share and I do recommend sharing. The service is very kind and accommodating to your request. The food comes out very quickly and it's still sizzling when served. The environment is very quiet and almost somber. The lighting is low and there is calming music. There are multiple dining areas which allows everyone feel as if they are not over crowded. My only downside is the price. It is very expensive. A single 4oz was $76. Love this place. Can't get enough. Staff treats you well, if there is an issue with a steak, it's fixed immediately. Place is high end. Low lit atmosphere although it can get noisy. Prices are typical for a place like this. If you have a steak craving, they offer many different cuts and styles. They are slightly different from Ruth's Chris as their steaks don't come out sizzling hot with butter on top. Parking is easy. This restaurant is located at the Ala Moana Shopping Center. Decided to go to Morton's to celebrate my mother and brother's birthdays. Was a bit hesitant because other Yelp reviews were underwhelmed with the service but you know what? The service provided to us was EXCELLENT. Our server Shaun (or Sean or Shawn, didn't get spelling) made the dinner really special with his attention to detail, patience, and overall happy vibe. He took the time to answer all of our questions, made suggestions, and improved our dining experience by plating the salad on smaller plates because we were sharing and letting us add another oyster so everyone would get one. For birthdays, they write a card and scatter cute confetti on table. They also comp a dessert for each birthday celebrant and provide a candle. Appreciate that. Everything we ordered was delicious but I really loved the Nueske bacon, the pork chops, and the souffle. Was pleasantly surprised that they used Okinawan kokuto (black sugar) in their fancy Old Fashioned! So yeah, here to say that the service was great and this was a lovely celebration for our family. But be on the safe side and see if you can be seated in Shaun/Sean/Shawn's section. :) Oh, one quibble. Not a fan of their tea selection. WOW! Morton's exceeded my expectations. What started with a small text "Happy birthday to my wife" turned into a beautiful night. It started with a call from Morton's confirming my reservation which I made online BTW. They asked if we were coming and whether it was a birthday event. I confirmed both but I really wasn't expecting much more than that. However, when showed up - it was something. From being greeted and all the wait staff telling my wife "happy birthday" to the beautiful card and decoration on the table. Morton's always has excellent service and this was no different. I ordered my favorite chopped salad, a dry aged ribeye, baked potato, a flight of horse soldier bourbon and the meal was delicious!!!! Cooked perfectly and it looked beautiful. Nice crust, plated beautifully, I mean it was a modern steak! One minor thing, I wish my baked potato was warmer - but it was still very good!!!!! The bourbon was great and the cask strength POWERFUL! But let's talk about the WINNER. The birthday cake. Not a small tiny "complimentary" cake that most places give. I mean this was the real deal. A chocolate lava cake with ice cream. If I could give this dessert 10 stars I would. I mean..... WOWOWOWOWOW. The food was delicious! My family and I had 2 of the 3 course menus, a dry aged ribeye, and a filet mignon with lobster. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly, but it was a bit tough on the outside. They accompanied this was truffle garlic butter (your choice) and it elevated the dish tremendously. The chocolate cake was amazing as well, soft on the inside but slightly crispy on the outside, and the amazing fudginess that leaks out once you bite into it. Sponsored by Veuve Clicquot, options included champagne or a martini, 2 beef or chicken sliders, and regular or truffle fries. The food was cooked perfectly. Such a cute presentation! Happy Hour Meals!! #pauhanameals For the special, they required you to sit in the bar area and advertised the combo meal at $29 each. Amazing. Morton's is nice, and has good food so you cannot go wrong. I will definitely be on the lookout for this type of special again. We went to Morton's for my SO's birthday celebration in the early evening on a weekday. They had a private function going on, which seemed to affect the speed of food service. I did like the décor -- chic and simple. We started off with Morton's Margarita. It was a bit different but pretty good, and I liked that it was strong :D For the appetizer, we wanted the Crab Cake but it wasn't available, so we went with the Seared Scallops instead. Unfortunately, the bacon wrapping completely overpowered the scallops, so I could hardly taste the seafood at all. For the main dish, we ordered the Tomahawk Ribeye (medium). It took quite a while to come out, and by the time it did, I was already full from the complimentary bread. When the steak finally arrived, it was unevenly cooked -- about 70% rare and the rest well done, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the sides -- Loaded Baked Potato and Sautéed Spinach & Button Mushrooms -- were pretty good. They also surprised us with Morton's Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake for the birthday, which was a nice touch. My SO had the Mortini, which was well made too. Overall, it was a decent experience, but I'm not sure I'd return since there are quite a few other steak places around that I prefer. read more

Let me start this with had I not have purchased a stack of Mortons's gift cards from Costco before coming, I would probably be even more displeased than I am now with my experience. I get it is the holidays and it's busy but come on now. The place is clean but quite overcrowded and noisy due to the dense crowd. It seems they jammed as many tables as they could into the main dining room. Certainly not ADA compliant. There would be no way you could navigate a wheelchair through the tables. Maybe along either side of the wall but not if you needed to get to a table in the middle of the room. Not that I had a person in a wheelchair in my party, but something I notice as a person that works in the medical field. We had 8 in our party. They sat us at a 4 top that they folded out the extension part that turns the square into a circle. It was quite tight sitting 8 people on a table that normally seats 4. Folding out that little bit of table did barely anything for space. To add insult to injury, our table was dome shaped. Clearly seen better days. I'm guessing the curving of the table are from people putting their body weight on it leaning onto the table. I spent the night worrying my glass of water would fall over and soak me if someone bumped the table. Additionally my glassware was cracked with a large L shaped crack that ran down half the cup. I regret not taking a picture of this for evidence. How this glass made it to the table and was not replaced before I got to it shows a lack of attention to detail or simply disregard for excellence that is expected. Service was ok at best. Not the wow experience I expect from a fine dining restaurant. Food was mostly disappointing. Especially after taking over an hour to get to the table. Ocean Platter, oysters rockafeller, creamed spinach, dry aged ribeye were all mediocre at best. The ocean platter didn't taste like eating fresh seafood. Plating for the steaks were sloppy. My dry aged ribeye lacked flavor. Tender, yes. Flavor, no. The New York that came to the table was quite charred. Temperature on it was correct but I would call it burnt, see picture. The best steak that came out was the Cajun ribeye my son ordered. The lobster mac shells and cheese was poorly made. The sauce was grainy. Whoever made that dish needs to be re-educated/trained on how to properly make a rue. Flavor was also lacking. The best items that came to the table were the complimentary bread, French onion soup, smoked gouda and bacon au gratin potatoes, and my lemon drop mortini. The bill came out to over $1000 for 8 people, which I expected and would have been fine with if the experience matched the hefty tab. But it did not. I will not be coming back. I figured go to a steak house and get the best steak. We ordered the tomahawk (medium), rib eye bone in, rib eye, steak and lobster, Cesar salad, wagyu meat balls, fries, mash, lobster mash, cream corn, sautéed mushrooms, and broccolini. First the sides. All were good and okay, but I favor the sautéed mushrooms. Very flavorful and delicious. The meatballs were also phenomenal, my nephew actually enjoyed them. The mash was like any other place and the lobster mash was so/so nothing out of this world. Now the steak. Boy where do I begin. The tomahawk (medium) was too rare and tasteless. The ribeyes had flavor but was too tough same goes for the lobster tail. Service was okay. We did not receive our salad so we cancelled it but they brought it to us with no charge. Morton's is our go to steakhouse. And the Cajun ribeye is our jam! Plus a gooey warm chocolate molten cake to finish. Occasionally we venture beyond. But rarely! When celebrating a birthday or anniversary, this is our destination of choice. The staff are so friendly and attentive. They make celebrations personal and inviting. It's often tough to choose between the ribeye and a porterhouse. This is the one restaurant where we will always get 2 meals and 2 sides, even though we would barely finish one of each collectively. Being about 45 minutes away, we'd rather take extras home as they reheat beautifully. They can usually carry us at least 3 meals each. Delicious for days! The filet is also amazing, especially with foie gras. Tender with deep flavors. Cocktails are excellent! The watermelon mojito is our favorite. And dessert doesn't always have to be chocolate. We came for Happy Hour on a Sunday in the bar. I've been before and have to say I love the happy hour menu. They could add more drinks but all the food is great. We have been many times, so I'm surprised I haven't reviewed it. And I don't know why I never realized there was no changing stations for babies since Baby has come a couple times. When I asked where I could go, the hostess suggested I go down to the mall. I was a little shocked by that response so then I think she realized and said I could use a couple chairs tucked away to change. Later I helped this woman in the restroom with her baby b/c she was changing him on the sick over the rubbish can. Yuck for the poor baby, but not many other options! We had a table of 12, and we were given 1 bread. Odd since we've been give more with less people. I had to request an extra bread. Ordered juice for Baby and it was dropped for other people and then I had to ask to order another drink when mine was empty. I guess I just expect more from places like this, and typically we get it. I've always had mixed reviews of Morton's. I've gone a pretty good amount of times and have had both bad and good. Overall, the service is outstanding. Whether at the bar or at a table, someone is always there to greet you, help you, get you water, or what ever you need. They have multiple runners so food comes out quick and your main server always takes care. Atmosphere is very date night. Mood lighting in a darker room. Good for dates and possible business dinners as well. Food is where the consistency lacks. Sometimes it's good. Sometimes it tastes cheap, more times than less, it was the cheaper. I love how Morton's has an elevator that lands you right in front of their hostess stand. I'm not sure the hostesses live up to the elevated experience here - forced smiles and delayed acknowledgement - but everything else is impressive. It's a dimly lit, romantic restaurant where a regular table feels just as inviting as a booth. Our server, Travis, was laid back, friendly, and naturally accommodating. We celebrated Valentine's Day at Morton's and even though the house was completely packed and super busy, the entire experience was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we checked in, the host was friendly and welcoming despite the rush. The restaurant's black interior is so beautiful and elegant -- very classic fine dining vibes. We were seated in a very large booth that was incredibly comfortable and perfect for a romantic evening. Our waiter, Travis, was fantastic! He checked on us periodically without being intrusive, making sure our food was perfect and asking if we needed anything else. His service truly elevated our experience. The food? Amazing. The bread was soft, warm, and delicious. For appetizers, we ordered the jumbo shrimp cocktail, Rockefeller oysters, and seared ahi -- and wow, everything was the bomb! So fresh and flavorful. Our ribeye steaks cooked medium rare were absolutely perfect -- tender, juicy, and they literally melted in our mouths. We had gift cards and free time, so it was an ideal time to come check out Morton's Steak house! it was during Happy hour time, so me and my wife sat in the Happy hour section of the restaurant. First impressions when we got in was wow, decor was beautiful. Then the host greeted us and took us to our table. As it was just opening time, it wasn't busy at all. Service was great, they explained the menu front to back, accommodated us very nicely and even adjusted my cocktails to match my palate. everything was going nice. only down side is, on the happy hour menu, there's no steak, only appetizers/pupus and drinks. Morton's Steakhouse at Ala Moana was a great experience from start to finish as it always is. The steak was excellent, cooked perfectly. I've never had a steak at a Morton's I did not thoroughly enjoy. One surprisingly memorable part was the bread. Our waiter shared a tip: scoop out the inside and use it as a bread bowl for Zippy's chili. Such a simple idea, but honestly a brilliant one. Have not tried it yet but will at some point! Beyond the food, the experience itself made the night special. Really delicious, moist and tender Tomahawk Ribeye steak. My companion and I went here early at 5 pm on a Monday. It was early so not many tables were taken. We had oysters Rockefeller for appetizer, and shared a 36 ounce Tomahawk ribeye done medium rare to perfection. We ordered sides of Brussels sprouts with bacon and fluffy, buttery mashed potatoes. I had a Mortini gin martini as my apéritif, she had a glass of California Pinot Noir, and another with the steak. I also drank a nice French Bordeaux, two 9 ounce carafes. I wanted to try their Cherry Blossom Martini which is made with Haku Vodka, Lychee, Licor 43, Cherry. It was good. I would definitely get it again. For the prix fixe I decided to get a cup of lobster bisque, steakhouse wedge salad, 6ox center cut filet mignon, sour cream mashed potatoes, and for dessert, I upgraded and got the hot chocolate cake - sundae style. The staff was really helpful. The wait for the food took long, but it could be because the amount of people that we had in our party. My friends had lobster in their dinner and it didn't smell right to 3 out of 5 of them. I don't really eat lobster but when I smelt it, it had a burning sensation like getting eyelash glue into my eye. The manager offered to switch the lobster out for something else, but my friends appetite got ruined, so they declined. The manager instead offered a $200 comp and free desserts. Everything on the happy hour menu sounded so tasty so we ordered everything we wanted with plans to eat the leftovers for our own happy hour on our lanai at home the next day. I've been here about 10 years ago. Honestly, I remember this place for smelly carpet and unimpressive, cold steak. I return here recently not by choice but for gift reason. This time we definitely had a better experience. Ribeye was cooked to perfection. Side dishes Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes were perfect too. We also enjoyed their complementary dinner roll flavored with onion. Did I mentioned their service was superb? Our waiter T** was friendly and down to earth person. The big boss also make sure we were satisfied with our food. To wrap up our dinner to a good ending, Morton's chocolate dessert disappeared so quickly by our family. It was delicious. Hubby and I love coming here to celebrate our birthdays or anniversary. We always request for our favorite waiter, Ed. Food is always delicious. Service very exceptional. Nice comfortable place to dine in. They have the best onion bread. Really good deal on the internet specials. read more

The food, drinks and service were not amazing. We went for HH and sat at the bar. We had lukewarm service from the bartender and my HH margarita was terrible. It was way too sweet and not strong enough to taste any tequila. My friend said her Sauvignon blanc wine was harsh but at least it was a big pour for the price. We got crab cakes (it comes with 2) and a bit of arugula and a very watery Dijon mayonnaise sauce. The crab didn't taste fresh. $18 on HH. The prime rib sliders were a nice size portion for the price. The steak was tender. The bun was ok. It needed more sauce. I was happy with the portion, quality and taste for the HH price of just $12 for 4 pieces. The servers kept grabbing our stuff before we were done with it. We got the check and I'm honestly glad we didn't order more because it was lackluster for the price. At least there was no line like the Signature Prime had!! read more
