Incredible place to be! My family and I went to Dave & Busters on a packed Wednesday. As soon as I entered I felt a cool breeze hit my face! I quickly got my gamecard and started grinding games. The vibes were great and the prizes were awesome too. There's also many recharge stations for your cards and a bar in the middle of the play area. In addition to that the food was wonderful,honestly at a place like this I don't expect the good to taste great but the food here is actually fire. This place is also located in a great area. this experience was too disappointing to ignore. From the moment we arrived, the service was unacceptable. I ordered a single 6 oz glass of wine, yet I was charged for a 375 mL bottle that I never ordered or received. A billing error like that should never happen. To make matters worse, our pizza took approximately 70 minutes to arrive and was served cold. Throughout the meal, our server was largely absent, offering little communication or attention to our table. When I asked to speak with a manager, no one ever came. Being completely ignored after requesting management was incredibly frustrating and showed a lack of accountability. A restaurant should be able to provide accurate billing, hot food, attentive service, and management that is willing to address customer concerns. Unfortunately, this visit failed on every level. I hope Dave & Buster's reviews what happened, corrects the billing issue, and takes steps to improve the guest experience so others don't have to go through the same thing. read more

First, I want to make it clear that this was not the fault of our server. They were doing the best they could under what appeared to be extremely understaffed conditions. My concern is with the overall planning and management for such a major event. I specifically reserved a table that required a $500 food and beverage minimum, in addition to a service fee, with the expectation that the premium pricing would come with a premium experience. Unfortunately, that was far from what we received. The kitchen was clearly overwhelmed. It took nearly an hour for simple items like chicken quesadillas, wings, and sliders to arrive. Took my little girl out to watch her very first World Cup match, and she had a blast posing with the giant trophy! As a soccer fan, I couldn't help but notice that the U.S. is still a bit of a soccer desert compared to many other countries--the crowd was probably under 30% capacity during the match. The venue itself was decent. The food was a little on the salty side, but still enjoyable while watching the game. What really stood out was the service. There seemed to be only one server handling the entire floor, and he was absolutely swamped. Despite that, he stayed friendly, attentive, and positive the whole time, which made a great impression. I would avoid this Dave & Busters in the future. The first time was okay. Their food overpriced. The service was crappy. My son's surfboard popped from the $30 spent for 2 items at "The Human Crane." He was really upset about it and begged to go back and win another one. So we went back today Tuesday during the week to buy another one. The sign says they are always open and to ask a team member. Each team member did not want to help and pushed back. Mind you there were no other guests there. I spoke to two different team members. The female bartender and another man who was lazy and gave every excuse not to operate it. We were on our way out and I mentioned to the hostess at the front what happened. She got the manager. Segue to a fourth convo with the manager and I'm like, hey I was gong to spend $30 more on Human Crane and more on games. At this point can they just replace the surfboard. I showed him the picture from this past Saturday. He kept repeating he didn't want to make my life hard but he needed me to bring in the popped surfboard remnants. I mentioned I had a knee surgery and it's hard on me to walk. He continued on he would just be need the surfboard to damage out and kept cutting me off. I would not spend a dime more of my money at this location. They are a joke. Let me start by saying that I visit Dave & Buster's fairly often for my fantasy football draft and for all my daughter's parties, events and play dates. It's usually a good time whether you're there to play games, watch sports, or eat and drink. This was not the case during my most recent visit on Saturday, June 13th. I showed up at the bar with a few buddies to hang out and enjoy a few cold ones. The bartender was sporting a Brazil jersey, so I asked him if he was looking forward to the upcoming Brazil vs Morocco matchup. It turns out I got the times mixed up and the game had already finished, but this guy made some derogatory comment to me and questioned my soccer fandom as well as the Real Madrid jersey I was wearing. It's not my idea of fun to go out, order some drinks, and get insulted by the bartender. After that negative experience, I still tipped the guy even though he didn't deserve it. I'm going to think twice about visiting D&B's again, but I know I will inevitably have to for my draft and my daughter's events. read more

This was supposed to be a gathering where my dad and uncle are rekindling their bond after my grandpa just died but it ended up just getting everyone mad. (I'm aware we should've gone somewhere better but it's where they wanted to go since they used to go here in their adolescent days.) So play wise, you can't go wrong with the games here but food wise I don't know what happened. We got here at 3:50pm today and ordered our food at 4pm. Our server Jair, I believe his name was communicated that their system went down and had to write it in manually? I don't know. Regardless, we were a party of ten. Jair took us the first half of our food that we ordered but then the last four of us had to wait 30-40 mins for a burger and a salad with grilled chicken. They were going to give the meal to us free from what I heard the manager say but he came late after we had just paid. And as a sever myself, I know my restaurant can reopen a check and it'll take 2-3 days to come back but I guess they didn't want to do it. I won't assume. They gave us the food after which is fair but I just wish they'd communicated us. Because the lot of us are in a bad mood now. I like to go to this place on special occasions. I have attended this spot for years and I like to spend over $50 on credits so I can try to beat a certain arcade game or try to get as many tickets as I can. There are so many options. Racing games, shooting games, multiplayer games like Pong and Pac Man, and so much more. It's really fun, especially for children. It's my go to hangout spot every time I go to the Irvine Spectrum. Man, I do feel sympathy for the managers there, it's a tough environment sometimes. Long rant, but as close as I can remember it. Mea culpa, I don't suffer "fools" lightly, and since I'm not afraid of people, I won't back down when someone is being disrespectful. However, giving me a hard time when I want to be seated for food, and they have a number of open tables with no one waiting is WRONG. Not to go into too many details, but I eventually had the restaurant manager and the store manager telling me I was rude, wouldn't be able to sit at their restaurant, and after I got things calmed down a little, told me I couldn't go stand by the table to wait, and otherwise failed to listen, failed to introduce themselves, and threaten to trespass me for asking to be seated immediately since there was no one else there. I wasn't being abusive, harassing them, or interfering with D&B's business, nor was I drunk. I was trying to give them my business, and they refused to take it. My son was there. Not cool. I did tell Mike, the GM, he wasn't suited for this job, that he should look for another one. I've done retail, you can't let it get under your skin when a customer disagrees with you. Harsh, perhaps, but not said until he'd really proven my point. That is not harassment, it's in-the- moment feedback. I also told him (Mike) that he doesn't get to be angry, take offense, or push back on customers, that's not his job. He can empathize, be polite, set a good example for his team, and explain the options he has. "I'm trying to help you, but you won't listen," he said. I said "No, you are trying to explain to me why you won't help me, and no, I don't want to hear it again. You have empty tables and I am right here. You could seat me if you wanted to." He definitely did not like that. Maybe against policy, but would have hurt no one, and I would have left happy and fed, instead of annoyed and hungry. We live in a world where employees, even older ones in positions of authority, are sensitive, unable to handle conflict, and ill-trained. When you are in a direct customer-facing position, you don't roll your eyes (my son said the host "side eyed" me) and stare when someone asks a simple and direct question. The host later told me he did the side eye because people often give them a hard time about seating, I didn't do anything specific to deserve it. As a manager, you don't walk up pushing your hand in a customer's face (c'mon Eugene) (although I think the angle wasn't initially intentional), then refuse to stop pushing your hand at me. It's demeaning. The GM's role is to deal with conflict in a way that makes the customer feel listened to, even if they aren't satisfied. All in all, I was offended by their behavior, body language and unwillingness to help. This mess started with me pointing out they had unfilled tables, and I wanted one. It turned into me asking them over and over why they were being so rude to a customer and them eventually threatening to trespass me because I didn't like their answers. There was no name calling, no raised voice on my part (it was loud in there, so I was talking loud, too, we all were.) Why not start with "Sir, we have to put you on the waiting list." verses "you can't have any of those tables, they are reserved," Me: "For who?" Host: "People who are coming later." I eventually joined the waiting list. 40 minutes later, the tables were still empty, and the waiting list had not moved, not one party had been seated. My son wanted to leave because he didn't trust these guys not to put something in our food. He's 11, great job being a family place, team! A customer service rep will call me in the next couple of days, I'll update the review afterward. Not having high hopes, there are good reasons why this place has poor reviews. Company culture starts at the top, Mike. What I learned today: 1. Don't expect good service at D&B's, those days are gone. 2. D&B's thinks they are fine dining, when they are a quick-serve restaurant. 3. Don't drop in for games and a snack when they are busy, they can't handle it. 4. Even though they send you all kinds of offers to come in, they will treat you like an alien with two heads if you actually try to use it. 5. Not my usual experience at this Dave and Busters but from a really poor hostess who seemed to seat us in the worst possible section (literally no one acknowledged us for 25minutes) went back up to the hostess stand and she had the worst attitude when I said we were going to move to the bar and she had not a care in the world. This was an enjoyable experience with plenty of games and a lot of open space. Over the years it looks like the remodel that they did has benefited the overall experience. The decor is nice and the options of food and drinks are plentiful. They also have breakout rooms for meetings and private events, as well as, pool tables. The only downside was that a few of the games we were playing at problems and didn't operate properly. read more

I had brought my nephew here to enjoy games and some food. They have the Eat and Play combo too that way you get a play card added as well. The selections aren't very big but it has most items kids like so my nephew has gotten the Chicken Tenders with fries and I got the Chicken Caesar Salad. Along with the on Thursday they do $1 wings if you order 10 pieces so I added some Lemon Pepper Wings to the order. The food was all just okay, it won't blow your socks off as it's Dave & Busters but it will get you full and kids will enjoy their time. The Salad was not very crisp and the chicken was very dry like a cardboard piece. The wings were better than the salad for sure though. The best part was the service from Jonathan as he made sure that we got everything we needed and more and went out of his way to make the experience better. Hope he gets some recognition. I used to frequent this D&B location in my 20s with friends and cousins. Man, we slammed that liquor like crazy. We have pics of our table covered in drink and shot glasses. Sigh. The younger years when you could drink and your liver wouldn't be mad at you for days. LOL. I don't know when they renovated, but it looks really nice inside. It seems like there's a lot more seating, much better and updated games, everything looks new, restrooms are clean, the two separate bars look very nice, and they have a huge TV in the dining room. I have not had issues with service, in fact service we received has always been really good. I brought my family on a day off from work and them from school, so it was daytime and not packed. We grabbed a booth at the bar in the playroom/game room. We were approached quickly by staff and our order taken. We didn't have to go around looking for someone to help us which was nice, cause it can definitely get that way on a busy day. What we ordered: - Parmesan cheese sticks. Of course we had to do a cheese pull. These were good. - Cali Caesar salad. Loved this - Creamy chicken pasta. My kids were taking lots of bites of this dish. - Burger. My kids devoured this - kids pizza - Either a Modelo or 805 on tap. I can't remember. So good. - I don't remember what else but we all liked everything we ate. One thing we did though that you should know. We paid for a combo with a play pass. We ordered the one for unlimited games for I believe 90 minutes? IT IS NOT UNLIMITED!!!! This is very misleading Dave N Busters! You can only swipe the card twice within a minute. That is not unlimited. You may have a disclaimer, I don't know, but you shouldn't call it that when it's false. I had an issue with this, otherwise, everything else was great. We walked around and played a lot of games. Well, never thought I would be reviewing for an entertainment/gaming center, but feel I should let people know how we felt about the food here, as I didn't expect it to be so good. My sister-in-law told us she loved the burgers here, but we wanted to try something else. Wife had the chicken nuggets, and said they were wonderful. Her sister raved about the chicken quesadilla. I had the short ribs and wings. Short ribs meat certainly fell off of the bones and was very flavorful with the bbq sauce they were coated in. Wings were okay, but I've had much better. We all loved the fries as well. The only thing I didnt like was the Cadillac margarita. It tasted like just tequila and ice water, with no lime mix. Our server graciously exchanged it for a tangueray and tonic, which was much better, but came with no lime. Anyway, our server was fantastic, always checking on our needs, and very friendly. We had a great time until my beautiful kids had to rush to put everything away in a Togo box. I've worked in hospitality for over 30 years and if you're rushing someone to get out that's terrible. Definitely will have to re think of eating again. Thankfully I'll make sure to ask for Ally and not the other associate who was eager to kick us out. No it was 12:50A not 1AM we definitely would have left before 1AM. She kept trying to pick up our plates at 12:40A then 1245A then 12:50A. I asked her for lids for the ranch. The manager was there when I made I had already paid a tip of 20% and hope it's just for Ally because if it's shared not happy she would get compensation for removing the food I had just paid and wanted to take home. Please don't rush your guests don't try to take there plate when your placing it in Togo plate. I'm so happy with Ally but everyone else do better. Yes I'll be calling tomorrow to complain. Marcus is hands down the GOAT behind the bar. Every time I come in and he is working the whole vibe is just different, better drinks, better energy, better everything. He somehow remembers what people like, makes every drink perfectly, and keeps things moving even when it is busy without ever seeming stressed. What really sets him apart though is how he treats people. He is not just making drinks, he is creating an experience. You can tell he actually cares, and that is rare. I know its crazy to say but ive never seen the game part of dave and busters until now LOL. Im so used to arcades being crusty with the floor of unknown colors, old machines, but surprisingly the machines here look relatively new and the place is overall well lit. Also surprisingly, I see a lot of couples come here for late night drinks even not on a weekend night! The late night special is a $5 bites and drink. But for some odd reason, the menu isn't available anywhere online, only in small cards on the bar. We got the flatbread and parm fries which were decent. The wings looked good and i think they are ayce on Monday. We shared something called the trash can, which I have no clue what it was, but if you like amfs its that similar fruity taste and you can get it with sugar free redbull. Only other thing to note was that the drinks on the menu dont have prices however much I squint lol. Overall, good time if you want to get drinks and have fun with friends without going out out. Outside of the bartender with the red hair, all the employees seem exhausted and don't really care much about customer service or even good communication. I asked a server to clean a table so I could move and make room for larger party to sit together, after giving pushback (about cleaning a table) he said he would grab someone. Never came back to follow up, nor did someone come to clean the table. A customer offered to clean it. A customer had to clean a table smh. And trust me, we all see how crowded the bar is and the 2 and half bartenders working behind the bar, and all the people in front are trying to get a drink. There's no order or line, so of course everyone is trying to get the bartender's attention for a drink order. So if that stresses you out then quit! Or go home! But don't get angry with customers trying to order a drink at a busy bar. ***UPDATE*** After sitting in my seat I still wasn't satisfied with a yelp review, especially after seeing many similar reviews regarding the staff not caring about the customer experience. We drove all the way from Ontario to the Irvine location today because our girls love this Dave & Buster's more than the others. We brought our daughter and a few of her friends to enjoy their Premium Unlimited Play Passes, and since it was the last day before our passes expired, we specifically made the trip to earn the 2,000 bonus tickets that were part of the benefits. Unfortunately, our cards weren't working because of a network outage. We completely understand that technical issues happen and know that part wasn't anyone's fault. What was disappointing was the customer service we received. The employee at the front desk seemed bothered that we even approached her and offered little help or empathy. When we asked what could be done, the response was simply, "I don't know what else to tell you." A manager was eventually called over, but he came across just as unfriendly, and it felt like pulling teeth just trying to find a reasonable solution. Eventually, they provided some complimentary game credits, which we appreciated, but they lasted less than 20 minutes. Normally, we spend an hour and a half to two hours there with the kids, so it wasn't even close to making up for the lost value of the 2,000 bonus tickets we missed out on because of an issue that was completely beyond our control. We didn't even bother asking for more credits because it seemed like they were already annoyed that we had asked in the first place. What really surprised me was the lack of empathy. Even a simple apology and a willingness to help would've gone a long way. Instead, the manager acted as if the credits were coming out of his own pocket and told us the best they could do was a $10 card. That simply wasn't true. We've experienced a similar outage before at the Ontario location, and the manager there went above and beyond by providing enough credits to make sure the kids could still enjoy their visit for a reasonable amount of time. We've noticed customer service has gradually declined at Dave & Buster's over the years, but this experience was by far the most unpleasant. Customer service matters most when things don't go according to plan, and unfortunately, the lack of professionalism, empathy, and willingness to help left us very disappointed. I'm posting this in hopes that management sees this as constructive feedback and uses it as an opportunity to improve the customer experience moving forward. read more

I don't mind that it's overpriced, but for this price it's unacceptable that some of the games are out of order and also sometimes it takes your credit even when a game doesn't work. Used to be much better a long time ago. read more

Our family had a great experience here. Clean well kept up. Some games were broken but we did see crews there actively working in the broken machines. We did have a food issue that we did make mention on. I was impressed about the concern and followup to make it right by Alexis with guest relations, showing they do make effort to make things right and more enjoyable for their customers. I really appreciate this work ethic and consideration to make customers experience enjoyable. read more

very rude person telling us we have to spend 25 dollars or more per person while a game and they where kicking us out the whole time very very very very bad service would not reccomend at all the manager came up to us and was telling us to leave while we were consuming please dont let anyone else feel the way we felt ... read more

+ Lots of fun games to play with friends. + One of my favorite is basketball connect 4. Sometimes you just need to land the ball in one specific column, but the rims can bounce the ball into a completely different column. It's hilarious. + They added a cool VR game Godzilla Kaiju Wars. Surreal exp! - The VR game was out of masks & antipathogen wipes. - They removed (or never had) Time Crisis 5. One of my top favorite arcade games. The alternative here, Razing Storm, is still very fun to play, but it uses only one foot pedal. TC5 uses two foot pedals. + Polite, helpful staff. - Very crowded on a typical Saturday. Sometimes you and your friends have to wait a few minutes to play the exact game you want. - Also very crowded parking. Congested traffic in the parking structures. + Conveniently located right by the 405 & 5. - Only one public restroom in the whole venue. Hard to find for newcomers. + The restroom is nice and big though. - But it was all out of paper towels. - Too bad you'd have to shell out potentially thousands of $$ worth of money and time to realistically win enough tickets to cash out something nice like an X-Box or a Switch set. + This arcade is located in Irvine Spectrum, a wonderful place to go shopping or grab food and drinks with friends and family. - The front counter usually only has 2 attendants even if there are many guests in line, so it can be a bit slow. - About 4-5 games were out of order, had a broken game card scanner, or had a broken controller. read more
