I would avoid this Dave & Busters in the future. The first time was okay. Their food overpriced. The service was crappy. My son's surfboard popped from the $30 spent for 2 items at "The Human Crane." He was really upset about it and begged to go back and win another one. So we went back today Tuesday during the week to buy another one. The sign says they are always open and to ask a team member. Each team member did not want to help and pushed back. Mind you there were no other guests there. I spoke to two different team members. The female bartender and another man who was lazy and gave every excuse not to operate it. We were on our way out and I mentioned to the hostess at the front what happened. She got the manager. Segue to a fourth convo with the manager and I'm like, hey I was gong to spend $30 more on Human Crane and more on games. At this point can they just replace the surfboard. I showed him the picture from this past Saturday. He kept repeating he didn't want to make my life hard but he needed me to bring in the popped surfboard remnants. I mentioned I had a knee surgery and it's hard on me to walk. He continued on he would just be need the surfboard to damage out and kept cutting me off. I would not spend a dime more of my money at this location. They are a joke. Marcus is hands down the GOAT behind the bar. Every time I come in and he is working the whole vibe is just different, better drinks, better energy, better everything. He somehow remembers what people like, makes every drink perfectly, and keeps things moving even when it is busy without ever seeming stressed. What really sets him apart though is how he treats people. He is not just making drinks, he is creating an experience. You can tell he actually cares, and that is rare. Honestly I am not even exaggerating when I say I am a little disappointed every time I walk in and he is not there. It just does not hit the same without him. This was supposed to be a gathering where my dad and uncle are rekindling their bond after my grandpa just died but it ended up just getting everyone mad. (I'm aware we should've gone somewhere better but it's where they wanted to go since they used to go here in their adolescent days.) So play wise, you can't go wrong with the games here but food wise I don't know what happened. We got here at 3:50pm today and ordered our food at 4pm. Our server Jair, I believe his name was communicated that their system went down and had to write it in manually? I don't know. Regardless, we were a party of ten. Jair took us the first half of our food that we ordered but then the last four of us had to wait 30-40 mins for a burger and a salad with grilled chicken. They were going to give the meal to us free from what I heard the manager say but he came late after we had just paid. And as a sever myself, I know my restaurant can reopen a check and it'll take 2-3 days to come back but I guess they didn't want to do it. I won't assume. They gave us the food after which is fair but I just wish they'd communicated us. Because the lot of us are in a bad mood now. This was an enjoyable experience with plenty of games and a lot of open space. Over the years it looks like the remodel that they did has benefited the overall experience. The decor is nice and the options of food and drinks are plentiful. They also have breakout rooms for meetings and private events, as well as, pool tables. Dave & Busters is a good time for kids and adults that love playing games. And while doing that, you can take a break and have a bite since they have a large menu. I had brought my nephew here to enjoy games and some food. They have the Eat and Play combo too that way you get a play card added as well. The selections aren't very big but it has most items kids like so my nephew has gotten the Chicken Tenders with fries and I got the Chicken Caesar Salad. Along with the on Thursday they do $1 wings if you order 10 pieces so I added some Lemon Pepper Wings to the order. The food was all just okay, it won't blow your socks off as it's Dave & Busters but it will get you full and kids will enjoy their time. The Salad was not very crisp and the chicken was very dry like a cardboard piece. The wings were better than the salad for sure though. The best part was the service from Jonathan as he made sure that we got everything we needed and more and went out of his way to make the experience better. Hope he gets some recognition. Well, never thought I would be reviewing for an entertainment/gaming center, but feel I should let people know how we felt about the food here, as I didn't expect it to be so good. My sister-in-law told us she loved the burgers here, but we wanted to try something else. Wife had the chicken nuggets, and said they were wonderful. Her sister raved about the chicken quesadilla. I had the short ribs and wings. Short ribs meat certainly fell off of the bones and was very flavorful with the bbq sauce they were coated in. Wings were okay, but I've had much better. We all loved the fries as well. The only thing I didnt like was the Cadillac margarita. It tasted like just tequila and ice water, with no lime mix. Our server graciously exchanged it for a tangueray and tonic, which was much better, but came with no lime. Anyway, our server was fantastic, always checking on our needs, and very friendly. Not my usual experience at this Dave and Busters but from a really poor hostess who seemed to seat us in the worst possible section (literally no one acknowledged us for 25minutes) went back up to the hostess stand and she had the worst attitude when I said we were going to move to the bar and she had not a care in the world. I used to frequent this D&B location in my 20s with friends and cousins. Man, we slammed that liquor like crazy. We have pics of our table covered in drink and shot glasses. Sigh. It seems like there's a lot more seating, much better and updated games, everything looks new, restrooms are clean, the two separate bars look very nice, and they have a huge TV in the dining room. I have not had issues with service, in fact service we received has always been really good. I brought my family on a day off from work and them from school, so it was daytime and not packed. We grabbed a booth at the bar in the playroom/game room. We were approached quickly by staff and our order taken. We didn't have to go around looking for someone to help us which was nice, cause it can definitely get that way on a busy day. What we ordered: - Parmesan cheese sticks. Of course we had to do a cheese pull. These were good. - Cali Caesar salad. Loved this - Creamy chicken pasta. My kids were taking lots of bites of this dish. - Burger. My kids devoured this - kids pizza - Either a Modelo or 805 on tap. I can't remember. So good. - I don't remember what else but we all liked everything we ate. One thing we did though that you should know. We paid for a combo with a play pass. We ordered the one for unlimited games for I believe 90 minutes? IT IS NOT UNLIMITED!!!! This is very misleading Dave N Busters! You can only swipe the card twice within a minute. That is not unlimited. You may have a disclaimer, I don't know, but you shouldn't call it that when it's false. I had an issue with this, otherwise, everything else was great. We walked around and played a lot of games. So many from my childhood which is awesome! I loved watching my kids play the games that used to keep me so entertained. I highly recommend going to Dave & Buster's with or without the little ones. I've always loved Dave & Busters. They have so much fun for kids and adults alike! They have a great big bar and restaurant area with every sports game in giant TVs. Then, the gaming area is awesome!! They have so many newer games - like King Kong VR and the human crane! Im so used to arcades being crusty with the floor of unknown colors, old machines, but surprisingly the machines here look relatively new and the place is overall well lit. Also surprisingly, I see a lot of couples come here for late night drinks even not on a weekend night! The late night special is a $5 bites and drink. But for some odd reason, the menu isn't available anywhere online, only in small cards on the bar. We got the flatbread and parm fries which were decent. The wings looked good and i think they are ayce on Monday. We shared something called the trash can, which I have no clue what it was, but if you like amfs its that similar fruity taste and you can get it with sugar free redbull. Only other thing to note was that the drinks on the menu dont have prices however much I squint lol. Overall, good time if you want to get drinks and have fun with friends without going out out. Surreal exp! - The VR game was out of masks & antipathogen wipes. - They removed (or never had) Time Crisis 5. One of my top favorite arcade games. The alternative here, Razing Storm, is still very fun to play, but it uses only one foot pedal. TC5 uses two foot pedals. + Polite, helpful staff. - Very crowded on a typical Saturday. Sometimes you and your friends have to wait a few minutes to play the exact game you want. - Also very crowded parking. Congested traffic in the parking structures. + Conveniently located right by the 405 & 5. - Only one public restroom in the whole venue. Hard to find for newcomers. + The restroom is nice and big though. - But it was all out of paper towels. - Too bad you'd have to shell out potentially thousands of $$ worth of money and time to realistically win enough tickets to cash out something nice like an X-Box or a Switch set. + This arcade is located in Irvine Spectrum, a wonderful place to go shopping or grab food and drinks with friends and family. - The front counter usually only has 2 attendants even if there are many guests in line, so it can be a bit slow. - About 4-5 games were out of order, had a broken game card scanner, or had a broken controller. read more

This review is about how they did for my grandson's birthday party on Saturday. We were in the party room with two other parties. We asked for the food to be brought out around 1:15 and it was brought out on time and it was hot and it was very tasty. They had a table set for the gifts, a table with water, soft drinks, iced tea and lemonade. We had two tables to eat -- one for the kids and another for adults. We ordered cheeseburger sliders, french fries, chicken nuggets, pizza, soft pretzels, and mozzarella sticks; kids food! But I have to say that the cheeseburger sliders were smashed style and very tasty with a charred crispy edge, and served on sweet Hawaiian rolls. The chicken nuggets were huge, all white meat served with ranch dressing, the fries were crisp and seasoned, the pretzel bites were bigger than usual and served with a hot queso, the pepperoni pizza were cut in a sliver slices so the kids could pick up and eat it easily! The birthday package was very nice and included the unlimited card play. The kids had a blast! And the wait staff was fantastic! They took drink orders, and when the food got a little cool they warmed it up for us, they were so accommodating and friendly! Every time we ordered something or asked for a refill, it took 15-20 minutes to get any response. We felt like we were constantly waiting and trying to flag someone down. Most of the staff and the management here have been really good actually. However this review is for one specific server. Forgot his name but he kinda looks a little bit like Doug from King of Queens. He's working at the tables near the arcade. Anyway, he is the most awkward, borderline rude server here. Not sure if he just hates his job in particular or people in general. But this guy should not be in any customer-facing capacity at all to be honest. Maybe he can work in the back kitchen. Anyway if management is actually reading this, I think it's time "Doug" gets re-assigned, or at the very least get some service training. He badly needs it. read more

Dave and Busters is good if you're in the mood for bar food, drinks, and watching sports. Playing the games is a plus. My husband and I went a couple times in the past month as we won gift cards during his company Christmas part. First time was great. Food came out quickly and hot. We got the eat and play deal with the fish and chips and double cheese burger with fries. Also had the strawberry sangria which was good but also a little on the strong side. We opted for the $40 eat and play which gives you $20 in credits to play games. It was fun playing the games but just be prepared if you go during the daytime as it was packed with families with their kids. A lot of kids. Second time was just okay. Seemed pretty slow for a Friday night but took a bit for a server to come take our order. Also took awhile for the food to get to us. We also did the eat and play but opted for the $10 in credits option. Our server had issues loading our cards from the previous outing but assured us the credits were applied. But once we started playing games we notice he never added the credits we paid for. Also for some reason some of the games were broken but not fixed as we would scan our cards and the games would eat our credits and not let us play the games (example: husband tried playing skee ball but game did not dispense the balls to play). We also looked at prizes and some are just mediocre and way too much in the ticket range (super small Pokemon plushies should not be over 2,000 tickets to get). Will probably go again but not anytime soon. read more

We recently visited the Dave & Buster's in Irvine. Overall, the experience was mixed. The food quality wasn't great and didn't really stand out for the price. Our server was friendly and polite, which we appreciated. That said, it did take a while to get service, and things felt a bit slow during the visit. not sure if it was because it was new years day (short staffed) hopefully that was the case One area that really needs attention is the bathrooms. They were not clean at the time of our visit. There were used paper towels on the floor, trash cans were full, paper towels were left next to the cans, and the floor was wet and dirty. There was also an unpleasant odor in the mens bathroom Dave & Buster's is usually a fun place to spend time, but this location could definitely improve on cleanliness and efficiency. This is not the closest Dave & Busters to me but after doing some shopping and dragging your kids with you, you have to give them some fun also so why not come and play some games. For this particular trip and this location in general I have not tried the food so this review is simply on the games and play area. As far as parking since it's at the spectrum you can easily find parking even on the weekend. There is one specific parking lot that is close to the Dave & Busters entrance so make sure you look into that if you don't want to walk much. When you enter the building there is a front desk area where you can purchase the play time/credits. There are also self service kiosk where you can do it without having to make line. It was Sunday afternoon so it wasn't too busy but I'm sure it can get bits during peek hours. The worker who helped us was really friendly even after having to deal with a customer who seemed like he had some nonsense complaints. One thing to note is they do charge a fee to get a game card so if you have one already make sure to bring it. As far as the gaming area it is pretty big. They seem to keep most of the games updated and have the latest machines. There was one game, Angry Birds, where it seemed like someone broke the lever to shoot the eggs. We didn't notice until after we swiped our card. We tried to find a worker to help us, and the closest one was at the ticket redemption area. He kinda brushed us off but did call someone over to the game. The worker who came was super friendly and he gave us credit for another game. It worked out for us as that game ended up giving us a bonus. We didn't load too much credits on to our card so we didn't stay long but I know there are days where you can get deals on credits so those are probably the best days to come. The prize area has some nice toys, stuffed animals and other electronic items. Some are priced super high while others are reasonable. We got a couple small items and decided to save the rest of our tickets to get a better prize next time. Overall this is one of the better locations I have been to and although it is a little further then I would like to travel, I would probably chose to come back to this particular location rather then then one that is close to me. read more

I honestly do see the effort and the improvements they have made to adding some of the latest and greatest games, including games incorporating VR and a lot of touch screen games, while still retaining some of the more "traditional" games that still require a token/coin (only dispensed with the game card) and even a DDR machine towards the back. The food seems to be par the course for dive bar quick bites, and I've heard good things about the drinks (generous pours or strong mixes). It really is family friendly since I have been here at odd times of the day with my kid and I always see a mixed crowd, which inspires confidence that this establishment doesn't attract just really young/rowdy people. Overall, they always seem to have decent deals going on either through the website or from other promotions, and the place is clean enough with spacious enough bathrooms to handle the large crowds.
