This experience started off very negatively--so much so that I almost left. That said, I work in the industry myself, so I understand that things happen and I try to give a lot of grace. I was seated on the patio because I had my dog, and since we were the only ones outside, it seemed like no one realized we were there. No one came by to greet us or check on us for over 15 minutes until the manager noticed and took my order. This is where the experience really turned around. The manager apologized for the inconvenience, took ownership of the delay, and even offered a discount because he was aware of what had happened and genuinely wanted to make it right. That kind of accountability is uncommon and really stood out to me. The server I eventually had, Claire, was awesome. She was warm, friendly, and connected with us really well. Even Jess, who covered for her during her break, was great. Jess also suggested the peanut butter brew as a float with ice cream, and that was a very solid recommendation. Overall, I have to give them props for the recovery. I just wish the recovery hadn't been necessary in the first place. I've sat on the patio with my dog before, and the same thing has happened where the initial greeting is very slow. A couple of suggestions: the patio could probably use a little more frequent cleaning, and adding some bistro lights might make the outdoor area feel more inviting and encourage more people to sit outside. All in all, the staff did a great job turning around what started as a frustrating experience, and I appreciate the effort they made to make it right. read more

I've enjoyed coming to Yard House many times over the years and recently discovered their happy hour, which is one of the reasons I chose to visit again. Unfortunately, my experience yesterday was disappointing. We arrived at 5:10 PM, well within happy hour (3-6 PM). Because I had my dog with me, I requested patio seating. At the time, there were only a few occupied tables on the patio and several empty tables that simply needed to be bussed. I waited about 20 minutes before checking with the hostess again, only to be told the tables were waiting to be cleaned and that they were short-staffed. I completely understand staffing challenges, but what was frustrating was that during that time I never saw anyone attempt to clear or reset the patio tables, while guests continued to be seated inside. If staffing was truly the issue, management should have stepped in to help turn tables and support the team. After waiting a total of 27 minutes, we were finally seated. Unfortunately, our server was then given several tables at once and was clearly overwhelmed. This was not the server's fault--he was doing his best under the circumstances. However, because of the delay, we didn't even receive water until after 6:00 PM. My dog, as well as the rest of us, had been waiting quite a while by that point. Our beers arrived several minutes later, after happy hour had already ended. The food and drinks were good, and our server worked hard, but the overall experience was negatively impacted by what appeared to be poor staffing decisions and a lack of management support. A little more attention to table turnover and guest flow could have made a huge difference. read more

Went to Yard House to check out their happy hour, and it definitely did not disappoint. We got there around 3:30 p.m. on a Monday, and the wait for a table was about 20 minutes. Since happy hour runs from 3 to 6 p.m., we decided to grab seats at the bar instead. What we ordered: The Truffle and Mushroom Pizza was honestly really good. It had great flavor, and the truffle wasn't overpowering. The sliders were well made, juicy, and not overcooked at all. Everything was priced well, making it an even better value. Overall, it was a great reminder that Yard House has a really good happy hour with quality food at a great price. It was also clean, but just a little loud on the music. read more

Yard House is one of my go-to spots at the Irvine Spectrum when I'm meeting up with a group. It has a fun, lively atmosphere, a huge drink selection, and the prices are pretty reasonable for the area. Cocktails are usually around $13, the portions are generous, and the food has always been solid. If you can make it during happy hour, even better--the half-price appetizers are a great deal and several are large enough to feel like a full meal. Another thing I really appreciate is how easy they make it to split the bill. Using the tablet at the table, each person can select exactly which items they want to pay for and check out individually. No awkward math or trying to divide one giant check. Ambiance was good for the World Cup game. We got there at 4 pm for the 6 pm game and got great seats at the bar. All three male bartenders were good. We especially liked the Latino short king! He was friendly, gave great recommendations like he really knew the menu, and checked in with us (and the rest of the bar clients) so we could put in one last round in before Happy Hour ended. Food was generally okay. Calamari was flavorless and chewy - never again. Queso was fine. We added the asada.... it didnt make it better. I would order the queso again, without the asada, if I was craving that. The tuna sashimi was fine. It could have been slightly more exciting, but I would order it again if I wanted a cold protein. The star of the evening was the Whiskey butter cake. I encouraged the group next to us to order it and they loved it, too. We brought the cheeseburger dinner home and it was rated as "better than RR." It was a fun place to watch the game. I eould return for the ambiance, but not the food. read more

Figured it's the absolute best spot for an ice-cold brew and some quick snacks. Love that. We just ordered a few apps before bouncing. The poke nachos were good. After a fun morning and afternoon watching professional pickleball at Lifetime in San Clemente, my eldest daughter and I went to Irvine Spectrum for dinner at Yard House (YH). We had a couple Darden gift cards to use up so here we are for the dine-in experience. Thank you again! Nolan, Claire, and Jeff (our servers) were super friendly and amazing in their presence and service. They got our foods and drinks to us timely and checked up on us from time to time. Thank you all for the exceptional service from beginning to end! Now for the food... My 3 mix & match tacos with spicy rice and pinto beans did not impress unfortunately. Cumin Chili Shrimp was tasty, but it lacked substance... it needed more veggies or something. Beer-Battered Fish was the best taco out of the 3 even though I didn't care for the sriracha aioli as it had a strong flavor that I can't describe... huge fish filet though. Vampire Carnitas had flavorful pork, but its exterior was fried with cheese or something that made it a salty taco. Rice is labeled spicy, but it's not spicy at all... pretty bland. Pinto beans were okay... nothing special. Hence, 4 stars! My daugther got the Whisky Glazed Salmon with tomato bisque as an add-on. WOW, black pepper glazed salmon was out of this world delicious! Parmesan mashed potatoes were delightfully smooth. Roasted carrots and baby broccoli were tenderly sweet. Tomato bisque was perfectly seasoned. Highly recommend plate and add-on! I should have gotten an order of this salmon plate instead of the tacos. Next time I know better. I couldn't help myself and order more food... - Truffled Mushroom Pizza was nicely done. Love the truffle flavor and aromatic mushrooms. Very tasty and would get again. - Onion Ring Tower fell short unfortunately with its flat and non-crispy batter. It came with two different dips... light ranch and honey mustard I think. Tower presentation was impressive though... it gets an A+ for appeal! I'll pass on this next time though. - Sweet Potato Fries were pretty standard. Nothing too exciting. It came with a dark honey dip which was different. Now for the drink... Picante Margarita virgin style was refreshingly delightful. If I wasn't driving, I would get it with the liquor (calirosa rosa blanco, orange liqueur, citrus agave, cayenne syrup, tajin rim). We came on a Saturday afternoon for lunch/dinner. To start, the wait wasn't that bad which was nice! I think we waited 15-20 minutes. It was quick for a Saturday :) Food- Great! We all ordered very different things (beer, cocktails, pancakes, chicken wraps, fries, salads, poke, burger, ice cream sundae) and all were great :) Service- Our waiter and waitress were really sweet and helpful. There were a few shift changes so some orders got lost in translation and we had to ask a few times about food that we ordered. A few of our items were forgotten about but we eventually got them :) All of the staff was great, but I think some things got a little lost among the business of a Saturday, which I think was also prom night as we saw some parties dressed up! I am usually a huge fan of Yard House but this experience was a major disappointment. First, the restaurant was filthy. As we walked to our booth, I could see the nasty food and trash leftover from all the patrons underneath the tables. I couldn't believe what the floor underneath our booth looked like. I took a picture as proof. So gross!!! So that was a bad start. Then we found out they were our of lemonade. Sorry kids! I ordered a beer that didn't arrive until after we finished our appetizers. A fun sports bar with great happy hour deals at Irvine Spectrum. There is a parking structure nearby, but you would still need to cross a small street to get to the restaurant. They have mostly indoor seating with a small outdoor patio. Service interactions are minimal because all of the tables have little screens that you can place your order and pay on. The only items that you can't order from there are the alcoholic beverages. The food comes out very quickly. My favorite thing to order (especially during happy hour) are the poke nachos. The fish is of decent quality and pairs well with the rest of the ingredients. The portion sizes are decent and the flavor is good. Classic American grub that comes at a fair price and big portions, they also have a gigantic selection of draft beer and other beverages. My boyfriend had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich which was really good! The chicken was really tender and juicy. I'm not the biggest chicken sandwich fan and even I loved it!! I ordered the three taco plate, one shrimp, one fish, and one carne asada. The tacos were okay, not my favorite. Didn't love the presentation for the rice and beans either, the beans were poured over the scoop of rice and it was honestly a bit unappetizing to look at. Service was great, ambiance was fun but holy cow the food was unreal. My husband got a Daura Damm gluten free beer that was delicious. I started with a side salad that had the best vinaigrette dressing ever. THEN our main course was amazing- pineapple chicken was so moist and the pineapple and broccoli could not be more perfect. Expect a long wait whenever there is a decent game on. Come here pretty often as there aren't many sports bars in Irvine, but everyone's got the same idea. Happy Hour is a great deal but if you miss it (which will most likely happen when there's a game on) the normal menu is overpriced for what you get. Got the poke salad, small portion size and cost me $25. Did have to wait a bit for the food as well. The service is good most of the time and they allow you to split by item which makes going with a group easy. I have always been a big fan of Yard House and have been to a few locations. I love the Mediterranean Salmon I usually get here. This last time I got the Cheddar Burger with Applewood Bacon. Let me give you a warning: You get a burger here and next time go to your other favorite In and Out--In and Out is going to taste like a microwaved dried out burger in comparison. I splurged and got the Sweet Potato Fries for $1 extra upgrade. Burger and Fries will set you back $20 here. Parking is free in the mall parking lot. Come here on a Saturday night and you get a free entry into the parking lot spot hunt competition. The bar here is really big, long and a cool scene especially if a game is on. This is one of a few Yardhouse locations in OC, located in Irvine Spectrum. The atmosphere was pretty typical between all the locations. The service from our waiter was great! We all cracked jokes and laughed with him and it was great. The only issue I have is that we ordered a specific beer which ended up being out of stock, and it took a long time to hear that news. We got to have a few samplers to pick a replacement, but my problem comes from the fact that we got charged for the original beer that we never got PLUS the new one chosen, which we didn't realize until checking the bill after already paying. I wish it would've gotten taken off when we heard that the original beer was out of stock, but now we've basically paid extra for nothing. Moving onto the food, everything was great on that end. We had poke nachos as an appetizer and these were so good and delicious. I honestly would just get these as a meal because they were amazing. I got a Two-Pepper Jack and upgraded the house fries to truffle parm fries, and they were so much better like that. The Two Pepper Jack itself was really good too, I enjoyed it way more than other burgers. I got it medium rare and it was nothing less than expected and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite I had. We also got an Oreo Brookie as compensation for the missing beer issue, but again, we also paid for it which was not great. On the opposite spectrum though, this was a good dessert. I'm not much of a desserts person in general, but I really liked having this at the end of the night. Overall I would say the food here is great. The service is good, but we had an issue of paying for something we never got, which I think reflects a bit poorly. That's not to say I wouldn't recommend Yardhouse, but it isn't something I'd overlook either. read more

Well where do I even start? I haven't been to Yard House in years...we talking about like 2014 or 2015 when I came back to California after College. To be honest I don't remember what I got here back then other so coming back here like a new guest. Now let me paint the picture here. I didn't know where or what was happening on November 1st. Mel got a ribeye and don't tell texas roadhouse but that crust was AMAZING, mashed potatoes for a second there look like scoop of ice cream but it was good. Would recommended if you love steak. Danielle got a chicken bowl, hearty and saucey. If you aren't a sauce person, ask for the sauce on the side, it's really well seasoned and high in protein. A healthier options but still hitting that protein intake. Lots of veggies and fiber too. Love the vibes and we ended up having two waiter, Luke was ending his shift so Devan took over and again, service was amazing and make sure we were taken care of.
