It's simple. This place is so poorly managed that it's a disgrace. I walked in today looking to eat, drink and play some games with my family of 3. As I look around in this restaurant there are multiple tables open. The hostess says a 15-20 minute wait because they don't have a wait staff to cover the area because they have a private party in the back. How damn stupid to be short staffed with a private party event that had to be pre booked where even a small family can't come in and get seated in the numerous open seating areas. Hey folks you have a 2 star rating. There is no wonder why. You can't get people seated at 1:30pm on a Saturday? We walked out because this dump is not worth waiting for. You lost $200 in revenue and you clearly don't care. This place will wind up closed and folks will lose jobs because idiots manage it. Cmon man. read more

I'm not sure where to start...with the rude, unconcerned "hostess" with the blue/green hair, the extremely long wait for seating, or with the lazy, inattentive waitress that walked on the back of her shoes. From the moment my group arrived at Dave & Busters at 2751 Wolfcreek Parkway, the service was poor. My group waited for over an hour to be seated, and there was an entire seating section that was unoccupied. The hostess offered absolutely no assistance in identifying a place for my party. The only place we were able to sit immediately was at the bar, and of course our children were unable to join us there. They wandered around until we were able to get the unlimited play cards for them that were part of the food order. When we were finally seated at the table, the waitress that was serving the area was slow, slouchy (she walked on the back of her shoes) and didn't take care of the table. Each person's food came out at different times, no drinks were refilled and service was slow. I would not recommend this Dave & Busters to anyone. Visit Day: 11/11/18- Very slow service on a Sunday afternoon- the place was near empty; however, it took them an hour to sit our party of 10. The hostess staff act as if they had no clue or training on how to handle a large party; nor did they seek any assistance in trying to figure it out! The General Manager of this location is worthless! He did not assist our party in any helpful manner nor did he offer any attempt at hospitality or apology for the poor service. ORDERING: once again, very light patronage at the time of our visit. However, it took an extremely long time for the dinner orders to arrive. If not for the excited preteen gamers in our party, we would have left the restaurant! Service this poorly executed does not deserve my money. I will not return- not worth the aggravation! Poorly managed business in Memphis, TN near Germantown Pkwy. Extremely disappointed with first and last visit to this location. First, upon entry, no explanation of how food & beverages are served. Wasn't sure of how to get a table or order a drink. Went to bar and no one greeted us at all. Second, staff of employees looked at us and proceeded to ignore us as we waited to make an order. After 5 mins passed, I asked one of the bartenders for a drink and she was too busy and had to wait another 10 mins for 1 drink. After playing games for a while, we decided to eat. The person at the entry counter didn't tell us that we had to get on a waitlist for a table. When we found out that was the protocol, when we tried to do that, we were informed that it would be an hr-to an hr and a half wait for table! As former business manager and senior level director, I observed the staff and their job roles. I didn't see a manager or anyone who looked to be in charge. There seemed to be a lot of confusion in F&B section. Again, none of the employees ever offered any assistance while waiting in that area before I had to ask (several times). The only thing I would theorize is that this D&B is located in a area that is not very diverse in customer base. The staff wasn't diverse either, which led me to other assumptions that I won't post. This place is terrible and needs a overhaul in management & staff. If not that, then definitely re-training at minimum. The only thing that was ok was the games available were (mostly) working. If I could give this place no stars, I would. From the moment we walked in, we were not greeted at all. We simply wanted to go to the restaurant but we were not directed or greeted. So we walk up to the hostess stand and still no greeting. There were three employees standing there having a conversation. One girl finally looked up as if we were disturbing her but still didn't say anything. Finally one guy said it's open seating. How would we have known that. So we pick an empty table and sit down. What can I say...I "normally" can say nothing bad about Dave and Buster's however the new Memphis location has dropped the ball with my family TWICE. Management is lacking the skills needed to effectively run a business and they don't seems to care at all that they are giving bad service. I've even called the 1800 and they didn't seems to care either. I won't be taking my family to the Memphis location ever again. I will give my money to an establishment they cares about their guest. Sad sad sad.. Hour and a half wait of drinks, 30 mins later to see a manager after I asked to see him, an hour later to get cold food and then the manager says "I can't take anything off of your bill". Our bill was $230 which is normally what we pay for our family of 7 (5 kids). However I felt it wasn't worth it either time I went to this location. Our server (one we got a server) was a very hard worker he just had too many tables and ZERO help. We've been several times ONLY because my kids love the games. Food and service is just really bad, the first time we went, the girl at the front was REALLY rude, & I'm not one to let anything rub me the wrong way, but MAN she was mean. We even had my son's birthday party there earlier this year, dropped close to $500, and NOBODY, including the kids, ate the food, it was all stale/old/reheated. On other visits, Never waited for LESS than 15 minutes for a drink, usually more like 20-30, even a lemonade, and I try to avoid busy times too. And literally everything is outrageously overpriced. I'm more than willing to pay big bucks for a good time, but we're supposed going back for a friends party tonight and I'm actually NOT looking forward to it. O well. read more

This place was amazing! The staff was so friendly and helpful. We ate there and the food was great. Huge portions. We had to bring our cheesecake dip home we were so stuffed. We went on a Friday night and none of the games were out of order, the whole place was clean. Star Wars video game is awesome. Add beer or two to make it more fun. Food seems to be great. Drinks are also good. Compare to main event, their place seems to be slightly smaller, but video game selection are much better. They also have good special adult drinks. A bit gimmicky but entertaining nonetheless. Don't eat the food, their dishes are always dirty as heck. It's like they just take it to the back, rinse it with lukewarm water and bring it back out to another customer. It doesn't really make sense to me because it takes 30 minutes for them to even take your drink order, so I don't understand why the dishes are always so filthy when y'all obviously aren't in any rush. If you're just that hungry then stop at the target in the plaza & get yourself some plastic forks or spoons. You should probably pick up your own beverages while you're there too because I wouldn't want to be touched by anything in those nasty cups even if I was on fire. And if you do order food tell them to bring it to you in a to go box, you have to get creative and work around the dirt in that place. Speaking of dirty :). I strongly advise you guys to bring your own lysol, lysol wipes, and hand sanitizer. I remember one time I touched something wet on the Tetris like game by the back and my life flashed before my eyes. And if you would just be a little more observant, you'll see how many people going straight to the games after they eat without washing their hands. People's children walking around coughing & sneezing without covering their mouth all over the place & their parents are just walking behind them not saying a word with their head held high. Then there are the children AND adults rubbing their nose and eyes then they go around touching stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if I found out the staff doesn't clean any of the games at all. Then they have the audacity to program the games to cut me off because I cheated a little bit. Don't worry about what I'm doing, fix your dishwasher. This place is too new to be acting like this... WORST experience ever!!! We (husband, cousin, her bf, daughter and self) came here on a weekday due to celebrating cousin 16th bday week (first week in March). I checked in using No Wait app and was told there wasn't a wait. So when we get there we have to wait 10 minutes to be seated. Ok. Cool. We ordered the drinks and it took the waiter so long to bring them that we were ready to order the food when he returned. Orders placed cool. Well an hour goes by no food. The waiter tells us the food should be out in 7 minutes. 10 minutes come and go still no food. We ask again. It should be up in 5 minutes, alright cool. Another 10 minutes comes and goes STILL NO FOOD. Ok. Now let me get a manager. My cousin ask the manager to come over instead he looks to see who is our waiter. What?!?! Who does that? He instead sends a new waitress to our table. Ma'am I didn't ask for you I asked for the manager. (At the point we are getting ready to leave) Our waiter comes back and tells us he doesn't know what's going on with our food. He doesn't see our ticket and the doesn't know what's going on. He apologized and said it was only one person in the kitchen (I'm told through over friends that have long wait times on food that that's what they always say). Remind you - THE MANAGER NEVER CAME OVER AFTER WE ASKED HIM TOO ALONG WITH THE WAITRESS HE SENT OVER. For this to be a newer establishment in the area the customer service is awful. I don't see this lasting long in Memphis if this continues. I know for a fact i won't return. Main Event never has these problems. read more

I gave 3 stars for the games but there were ALOT of children there. We played games and then went to eat. While standing, waiting to be seated, we were ignored by the hostess who didnt seat us until we asked. Then the waitress was rude and not thorough. She neglected to introduce herself and just asked what we were ordering. The drinks were 50/50 but my partner's food had hair in it. After a brief discussion with the manager, we got a couple gaming cards and our meal and drinks comp'd. Not sure if I will give it another try. I understand that it is a new establishment so they may be some learning/training opportunities. Maybe I'll try again in a few months and see if it's better. But if you're just going for games and drinks, go later when hopefully the kids are gone. read more

I've been there four times now and only had the endurance to wait long enough for food once. Although their food was good when I finally got it, there was no reason for the wait. One time we waited an hour only to be told it would be at least an additional 2 more hours before we could be seated. I do not understand why there is such an issue when there are always at least a third of the tables not being used. My only conclusion is that their either can't keep staff or they don't know how to manage a restaurant. If you go and want food, make sure it's the most dead time of day. read more

Excellent, excellent food and cocktails (and the seating is super comfortable)! We came for Happy Hour and dinner for the first time a month ago and have already returned twice more! That's a big deal since we don't eat out often and when we do, it's generally not to the same place - especially 3 times in a row! The ONLY negative (and why I took away a star) is how loud the game room is. I would LOVE to play games after dinner, but the decibel level is MUCH too high. If the volume on all the games were lowered even slightly, I bet more people would play. I would for sure. read more

This was my first time ever visiting the Dave and Buster franchise. The young lady at the front desk was very patient with me in explaining how everything works. The manager even came to assist with no problem when my coupon code wouldn't go through. Once I got further inside I was amazed at the atmosphere. There were different areas to eat and plenty of seating. The game area was huge and they had a lot of current games as well as older games such as Pac-Man, Space Invaders, Connect Four, etc. My only complaint is that my food service was a bit slow. We were greeted very nicely and then placed at a booth ( which was very spacious). We sat and waited and waited for a server until I had to get up and go ask for one. Shortly after she came. Only food that was ordered was an appetizer. The drinks came quickly but the food took a long time to come out and it wasn't even crowded during this time of the day at all which was about 2:00pm. Credit card charged twice! Paid for someone else's bill. I came here on a Thursday night around 5 pm with friends. There was one or two customers in the restaurant besides me. I waited probably 15 minutes or more before i had run down the bartender in person just to order a drink. My friends showed up, so I moved to a table. Again, the wait was so long we had to ask for a waitress to come take our order. The chips and salsa we ordered for appetizer came with our main dinner order. Food arrive cold and partially warm. When we were ready to pay, the waitress took our credit cards and left for 30 minutes. It was not busy at all. She eventually came back with half of our receipts. Still carrying our credit cards and uncharged bills in the other hand. She told us she had to leave to finish charging the remaining bills at our table. This time she left for so long we had to get the restaurant manager and he couldn't even find her. Eventually the manager found our waitress and informed me my credit card was charged twice. Once for my bill and again for some other customer in the restaurant. Manager apologized and told me it would be taken care of. It never was. I had to send a dispute with my credit card company. Not quite the same as some of the others. I've visited D&B in Nashville and Atlanta and the cleanliness of the bar and restrooms were stellar. On Sunday night I decided to give the new Memphis location a try. The staff was okay. Not as friendly as their namesake establishments in other markets but not terrible. The drinks were good but the bar was cluttered and uninviting. I think because they are still new that some of the kinks are being worked out and they will grow to be better. I will patronize this establishment again in the future and anticipate more from such a fine line. read more

I give the arcade and fun I have had five stars! I give the dining experience I had three stars. The food was fine. My steak was cooked how I asked but it lacked some flavor. The mashed potatoes I ordered were very good. Service at the dining area: 1 star. We waited about 15 minutes just to have a waiter come to our table (there was NO ONE else at the dining area eating). 15 more minutes to get our drinks and order, and 30 minutes to get our food. We asked for a bottle of steak sauce and our waiter gave us an empty one.... I love the games so now when I go back, I don't bother eating there. Update (12/2): I go to Dave n Busters about once a month. I love the games. I tried the dining experience again since they have their Unlimited Games and Wings promotion right now. I don't know if they're trained to do this but our first order of wings came out relatively quickly. We ordered a "refill" and it took over 30 minutes. The order only came with about five boneless wings and a small handful of fries. It doesn't take 30 minutes for that when there is hardly anyone at the dining area. Maybe they try to make you wait so you digest your food and fill up so they don't have to keep feeding you lol. Service continued to be slow after that. We almost left but we had paid to play games. We weren't in high spirits after that. All in all, go on Wednesdays. The games are half off so you get more for your money. Eat somewhere else. read more
