Great food great atmosphere the drinks were strong and service was fast definitely coming back

I had a very poor experience at Los Cabos due to extremely poor service. Our server "Yurete" took the orders without writing anything down. Those that ordered first received their food & were missing multiple items. When reporting this to her she became argumentative telling them their items didn't come with these things - though the menu verified that they did. My soup--something simple--took nearly 30 minutes to arrive. When it finally came out, it was incorrect. I specifically asked for no cheese, yet it was served with cheese. When I pointed this out she again became argumentative and insisted that I didn't order it that way. Multiple people at the table confirmed that I did request no cheese. At that point, since we were ready to leave, I asked for the order to be canceled. She continued to argue, stating that I couldn't cancel the order, even though nothing had been served correctly. I had no food because it had been taken back due to their mistake. She finally said, "Okay, fine, just leave," which was extremely unprofessional. To make matters worse, other members of my party shared that they've had similar negative experiences with this same server in the past. They also reported that their food wasn't impressive. They never received the guac & other sides they ordered. The salsa was basic and their entrees were simply underwhelming. This level of customer service is unacceptable. Learning that this is a constant at this establishment is disappointing. Let me start by saying that I have been a longtime fan of Los Cabos. I've enjoyed their food for years. I suggested this restaurant to a friend of mine who drove up from Mississippi to visit. We had the rudest waitress I have ever encountered. my friend ordered a large saltless margarita. She served her a salted one which my friend politely placed at the edge of the table and we waited on the server to return. She did not come back for 15 minutes.By that time, my friend decided to cancel her drink because she would not have time to digest her drink in order to drive back to Mississippi. The waitress told her she would be charged for it anyway. We told her that we had waited 15 minutes for her to she had not and she became very argumentative. my friend had a talk with an equally non service oriented manager and although she explained the lack of the servers attention, she too insisted that she pay for a drink that she would not be drinking. We paid for our drinks and skipped the food! Sadly, I will not be going back there. Come on Los Cabos. Y'all should do better than that. read more

Seems like everyone who had to deal with "Yurete" had the same issue. Rude, does not write your order down, brings back the wrong items, refuses to take it off the bill, then has an attitude when being corrected. She didn't check on our table if we needed anything, plus I had to get my own to go boxes. We've been here before and no issues until tonight. You'd think this place was packed the way she blew us off. My check was not adjusted so we over paid due to her ignorance, will be adjusting that with my bank. She needs to go find a new job. read more

The food was good. The one star review is based on service which was terrible. Several things on our food order were missing or not delivered to the table. The waitress entered our drink orders incorrectly and expected us the pay the difference. I've never been to a restaurant that makes as many mistakes as they did and expects the customer to pay for it. read more

We only came for margaritas and to have salsa and chips. We got the guac but in my opinion it was way too full of onions, and the salsa seemed plain and nothing special. The service was ok, the waitress couldn't make a recommendation for a margarita because she said she doesn't drink--but still didn't say what other customers like. Didn't ask if I wanted salt or tajin around the rim, didn't ask if I wanted it frozen or not--so I had to make sure to tell her. Later when I sat waiting to check out with my bill I saw her sitting on her phone instead of looking up to see if we needed anything. The ambiance is ok, seems minimal. The bar area was full of rowdy guys which is fine, but it kind of killed the mood for my husband and I with the screaming. Definitely won't go back read more

If you want to charge me to use my credit or debit cards, plus you're a little higher than most mexican restaurants.... Nope. so many other incredible Mexican restaurants in which som are even way smaller than this one, have good food, good atmosphere, and do not drop charges on their customers for using their credit cards or debit cards. Low class/ just want to make more money. We're done. And if everybody voiced their opinions on things like this and did not give up that $.50 $3, $4 that a restaurant should already pay for, we could change this. Slow service. Waiter took my drink order, brought me my margarita and said that chips and salsa were coming. 15 mins later they came. Then another waiter asked me if everything was alright. Considering that nobody had even taken my food order after sitting there for 20 mins, no, everything was not alright. She offered to take my order (burrito verdes). Waiter didn't ask if I wanted a glass of water which could have come in handy since my margarita has been dry for 10 mins with no waiter in sight. On the other hand, my food was about what you would expect in Memphis: average Tex-Mex faire. Not spectacular but not bad either. Had to go looking for my waiter to get the check. Too bad. It's Cinco de Mayo...I expected a wait. What I did NOT expect was to sit at the bar for 45 minutes with no acknowledgement other than a waitress being me chips and salsa. The bartender that was making drinks for other patrons didn't even acknowledge I (or any other customers) were sitting there. She made drink after drink and didn't make eye contact or even offer me a glass of water. This was utterly ridiculous. The hostess offered some flimsy excuse as I was leaving and I kept walking. I live 4 min from Los Cabos on Stage. Oddly, I've only been there maybe 5 times since they opened. It's a nice place with a large comfortable bar section, nice sized family dining area, even a large covered outdoor patio. Parking area is plentiful, easy to navigate with multiple exits. The food is pretty good. I gave four stars because every time I go, my food seems to be beyond spicy hot, even if I ask for no hot spice or no hot peppers. If you can't eat hot spice, don't depend on the menu including it in the description. Ask the waiter, but that can be a crap shoot too. I discovered that the ceviche is fantastic, fresh tender seafood with slices of orange and cucumber, it just took a bit of "washing" the hell hot spice off in fresh lemon juice. However, if you like the kind of spicy hot that can make it hard to breath and sweat this is your place. read more

I had a great time here! Loved the pork tacos I got and the jumbo lime margarita was pretty good. I do wish they had more authentic salsa and chips. I felt like the price of things was standard if not just a tad on the high side. But overall I'm happy we tried this place out and will more than likely be back again! read more

So so so so gooooood! I love Mexican places and this one is my favorite around. Our server Leslie looked like she was attending the entire restaurant and did so flawlessly. She didn't write down our order and got everything perfect. It's hard to find great service in this town! At most Mexican restaurants, I've noticed that their meat is mostly fatty / not great. Well they finally had sense enough to remove the women's sign from the inside of the door on the men's room. Don't expect to get out of paying for a meal that's totally unfit to eat. The crap I was served was utterly disgusting and I had to pay full price to leave it on the table. I'm at Las Palmitos writing this. One bite of burned tasting rice and one bite of the worst quesadilla I've ever had. Ground beef full of grease with carrots in a torn up tortilla that was burned. No cheese and nothing but nasty. I paid for lunch but didn't get to eat it. They said this was one of their best dishes. I told the girls at the register I'd hate to see their normal dishes if this is the best they've got. How disgusting! There are plenty of Mexican places in this city. This one deserves to close down. Charging for a service they can't deliver. read more

Los Cabos is a restaurant that our family and friends have frequented regularly and greatly enjoy their patio. However, this will be our last time to frequent this location as the reaction of the waitress and manager have left more than a foul taste in our mouth. Disregarding the issues with getting drinks, chips, etc., you should never have to request as frequently as we did for the only kids meal of chicken nuggets and fries. We waited and were then halfway through with our meals and had asked where it was multiple times. The last time we asked where the food was and the waitress proceeded to tell us, "It's not my fault." We were more than aware she doesn't work in the kitchen, however, as the waitress she is our liaison with the kitchen to find out where food is or to make sure that the appropriate food comes out. We then asked to speak to the manager and were told it wasn't his fault either by the waitress. When the manager did come out, he never apologized. He responded with a "Uh huh." That's it. Then, when the food did come out the chicken nuggets weren't even warm. Unacceptable. read more

We went here this evening for the first time because we wanted to sit out on a patio while the weather was nice. Their patio is nice and spacious and the waitstaff are still attentive while you're out there. I had a small frozen margarita (on special for $3.99 instead of the regular price of almost $6) and it was good. They have a lot of options, too... I might go back and try a mango one soon! I got the Toro Loco Tacos and my husband got the beef chimichanga. His chimichanga was smaller than what you usually see around here and not deep fried quite enough. He said it still tasted good though. The tacos though! The tacos were legitimately the greatest tacos I have ever had in my LIFE. And I'm from Arkansas originally so like, I've had some tacos. These were TACOS. They were enormous (I ended up splitting the meat between the two corn tortillas per taco), and came with a really great sweet and smoky tomatillo salsa, sour cream, pico, and beans. I will SO be back for tacos and margs on the patio again this summer! read more

First time there, we had a little advertisement that was for 2.00 longnecks "everyday" & margaritas 3.99 for happy hour. I even asked the server if there were certain beers and she said no and I asked about the margarita because it looked like the jumbo. When I went to order another beer she said that she was told that the beer wasn't 2.00. False advertisement to me. Oh and she had brought the wife a jumbo margarita instead because when we got the ticket it was a lot more than the 3.99. Seniors were supposed to get 15% off our ticket but she took a coupon for 1/2 off a second entre instead. We won't be going back again and will just go back to our regular spot. Yesterday, I was in town for just one day on business, and I really wanted to spend dinner time with my kids and grandkids. We were extremely pressed for time, as my bus was leaving in just a few hours, and I had my grandchild with me. We were seated in the back of the restaurant at a booth with a blown light bulb. I asked for a high chair, but the host told me someone else would have to get it for us. We never got it. We were never greeted and sat there for what seemed like forever.I noticed a white family being served promptly. A high chair was even brought out for them. My daughter and I watched as several staff members passed us by as if we weren't even there. Soon after, two older Caucasian women were seated in the booth right behind us. The same server, who had continuously ignored us as if we were invisible, immediately greeted the ladies behind us and took their drink orders. I looked at her with pure disbelief. I couldn't believe this was still happening in 2024. My daughter and I immediately grabbed our things to leave. The staff just looked at us, knowing we had not been served. I asked for a manager, but the manager never came out. We ended up having to leave quickly to find another place to eat so I wouldn't miss my bus. I had never been to this location before this incident. We only came here because my daughter had spoken highly of the service. What a shame! Used to enjoy this place for good service, good Mexican food, and reasonably priced selections. No mas! My wife and I just had lunch there today. We both ordered the Pollo Especial. It is grilled shrimp and chicken with rice, beans, and steamed vegetables. The "steamed" vegetables were frozen then steamed with regretable yet predictable results. Mushy tasteless chunks of brocolli stalks, carrots, and cauliflower. The rice and beans were fresh....a month ago. The chicken was frozen and then grilled leaving it plastic like and chewy. The only thing that saved the entire meal were the shrimp which actually were fresh and the fact that we got queso with our chips. You get three enchiladas with either chicken or beef and each one covered in its own sauce with rice and refried beans. Honestly, exactly what I went there for. This place is interesting. They have a great covered patio and the place overall is neat and clean. The menu is nicely varied and the service was prompt and friendly. Chips are thin and crisp - salsa is fresh, thick and perfectly spicy. My pork taco were tasty but slightly over cooked - I might have given 5 stars if the pork had been a little more on the juicy side. Good Service, Good Food My wife had been to Los Cabos before and recommended we go. We were greeted and seated promptly by friendly staff. They have a covered patio for enjoying outdoor dining when the breeze is pleasant; this time, however, we dined inside. My wife had, and did, enjoy her tacos - hence, the return trip. We started with fresh, hot chips and delicious salsa. I believe it was scratch-made and it was quite tasty. I decided on the Chicken Fajita Quesadilla. The chicken was moist, tender and well seasoned; however, it was a bit "lacking" in the quantity of chicken. It might have been even better with some grilled onions as well. I will say though, we were both pleasantly full when we left. Oh, I almost forgot. We each had a Frozen Margarita and not only was it very good, but it was also reasonably priced. I eat here with a large group 1 to 2 times a week. Service is fast and the food is delicious. They have the best corn you can get anywhere in memphis but, I have heard of other places with good corn. They have great margaritas. Steak is pretty good too. Maribel was a great server and I saw through the door to the kitchen area and they were cleaning very very good. read more
