I will NEVER visit this establishment again as long as the man in my attached photo works there. He was extremely rude to me, my family. The owner said she had a previous complaint about him. Heading towards a nearby highly rated restaurant when we passed this little gem. Looked at the menu which looked pretty good but kept walking towards the other place and turned around when we saw the line. Not sorry at ALL that we ended up here. I had the fish of the day which was fried grouper with coleslaw, hush puppies and homemade onion rings. M had their burger and tots and rings. Goodness me, the food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. His burger was one of the best I've seen in ages. Thick and juicy and perfectly grilled. The onion rings were also stellar. My fish was enough for three meals and just great. The atmosphere is good on the deck (the upper deck is closed) but inside was a little stale. I would prefer not to be inside. Prices are reasonable and service was great. Went back for live music and had a great night. It's a little divey but really really good. read more

Love Deckerz, we go all the time. Love the coziness of the bar, cold beer and great bartenders.

This is the first place we stopped at on our vacation. We love dive bars and thought they might have some live music. It was still early so we decided to get some drinks and food to wait and see if the entertainment would be good. Our first waitress was lovely, friendly and efficient. We all ordered sandwiches (except my uncle who got boom boom shrimp) and we were all distinctly UNDERwhelmed. My $8 club was packaged deli meat and kraft singles. And the delay between when each received our food was almost comical, like they were making them one at a time. Our second waitress was nice but looked strung out. Also, we're all vaccinated and I'm ok with being in public without a mask, but I'm willing to bet a bit of money that a few of the people encroaching in my personal space withOUT masks were not. A) never go here B ) if you do...don't waste your money on the "big ass margarita" On the menu it shows a regular margarita glass. What do I get? I polar pop like souvenir cup. Also it was filled with tons of ice. And the mix taste like a mix you can get from kroegers. So why never go here? Because I became ill. How? The bartender sprinkled salt with her bare hands onto my ice (you know instead of salt on the rim). Thousands of germs went onto my ice and I got sick from it! $15 is not worth this illness read more

My husband and I, along with another couple, had a drink and some snacks here on Halloween night. We chose this place because it had live music on the deck. Sadly the deck was packed so we sat inside where we didn't have to worry as much about social distancing. From what we could tell the music on the deck was great, I just wish we could have enjoyed it more. We stayed a bit longer than we intended, due to the fact that they were having problems with kitchen staffing, but the food that we got (when we got it) was real good. My husband and I got deep fried pickles, they were plentiful and tasty. Our friends got a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, which they said was really good, and some onion rings (which they shared with us and were some of the best I've ever had). Horrid. We came here on a Sunday when most places were closing down or had long waits. We didn't have high expectations judging from the appearance of the place. We sat outside since the weather was nice. Besides, there wasn't much available seating inside. The menu was simple, with a half-dozen or so items. That was fine with us. We chose just to have a hotdog and it was microwaved, burnt and tasted like c**p. Speaking of c***, we kept smelling this stench outside. Then we noticed an outhouse not far from us. And it was by no means smelling 'fresh' either. It was absolutely gross. Horrible food, and awful environment. Just gross. Only positive was that the server was nice. read more

We arrived at the establishment excited to eat and have fun. Instead, they didn't even put in our food because "the kitchen was full" but there was only half a restaurant full. It is just A-OK and does the trick for a drink/bite to eat after a long day of traveling in the car. Our condo was not ready yet since we arrived down in NMB early, and this bar shares the same parking with our condo rental company. Simple, no frills exterior, lots of older local folks drinking here, basic beer menu but lots of yummy cocktails to choose from, and a menu with lots of the traditional bar food. Nothing here was bad, it was all around just an average experience. Our server was quite friendly, the drinks and beers hit the spot, and the appetizer platter was good to split. Nothing overly remarkable was served, but again, it did the trick when we were all starving after 11 hours in the car. I did not use the restroom but my mother tried to and the women's was out of order and the men's room toilet was out of order, only a urinal so I have no idea how women are supposed to use the restroom here. So that was interesting to say the least. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat or drink here on vacation, but it was fine to kill some time while waiting for our condo to be ready to check into. read more

I found this little gem when looking around our vacation spot on good maps. I decided to go in and order some lunch to go. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I got a grilled chicken sandwich with bbq sauce and bacon. I also ordered it with a side of onion rings which they make fresh in house. The food took a few minutes to make and once I got back to the room I opened it up and begin to chow down. Everything was still fresh and tasty. This is why I prefer to check out local businesses because of the quality of products. It's more fun to check out these small business then the chain restaurants. Great music Nothing special food average but cheap drinks and good service small place in the winter

I live a block away and wish this place was not so horrible. The food is EXPIRED and sour tasting. Salsa (what they serve as marinara) was very sour, the orange in the blue moon my wife got was really musty and turned the drink moldy. I caution everyone to not eat anything that isnt frozen but even then, the breaded mushrooms were real slimy. The mozz sticks were not cooked all the way through. The "6 shot buckets" were 1/2 shots of cheap rum. They use a shot/double shot pour thing but only fill it half way on the short side for all 6. So 3 shots. A metric butt-ton of ice and *poof*.... wait, not even the headache of this place goes away. That's just food and drink! Now onto service. The waitress our first time left in the middle of serving us with no word. She's ok though, she was drinking and watching the live music in a recliner instead. The second time I LITERALLY SERVED MY GUESTS their dinner and drinks all night. We sat out at the picnic tables (ita covid still and NO masks, no social distance whatsoever) and informed the waitress on duty... Twice. She kept saying she was on her way. Eventually, after 20 minutes I started ordering buckets and taking them to our table. Then food. The moldy, slimy, sour food. I felt so embarrassed I took people here. In short, just order BOTTLED DRINKS with no garnish, avoid food, especially fruit, salsa, or anything not shelf stable. How is this business not shut down for health violations I will never know. The drinks and the food were really good! I thought the quesadilla was going to be like the ones you get from taco bell which has nothing in it, but they put a lot of food in it! It was so filling I had some for leftovers. You would think by ordering the jalapeño poppers, beer battered fish and chips, chicken quesadilla, cherry cola cocktail and the jolly josh shooter that it would be am expensive bill but actually it was less than $15! Also the place is very likely with people playing billiard, music and watching shows. Definitely would come here again. read more

I took my son to Deckerz on the last night of his family vacation. The deck was full due to live music, so we went inside, which was not so busy. The server was quick to come to our table and even mentioned a popular beer choice less expensive than than what we were considering...you don't see that very often! When the other serve would pass by, she smiled at us. Our server came by and checked on us, and also chatted with us: "Where you from?" and so on. Wasn't impressed. Web site had Cat5 Band from 9 to 11 so we got there about 9:15. Discovered band was actually playing from 6:30 to 9:30. Got drinks and beers and enjoyed the rest of their set. They were pretty good. Will watch for them around town. Band quit and so did outside service so we went inside to get some food. Shrimp and crab dip was real good, mushrooms excellent and others in group enjoyed quesadillas. Giving them one star since the food was good but we switched to drinking water and guess what.....they charged us $1.00 per cup of water. Outrageous. We can hear the bands from the house so we won't be going back. I'm sure they won't miss us as they stay busy most evenings. We tipped the servers for drinks and guy that served us food inside as he was nice but geez, they shouldn't have charged us for water especially after we'd been buying beer and drinks. This is a really fun place to come when you're in north Myrtle. Cheap pitchers, decent food, and always a fun crowd of older bikers or golfers. Definitely hit or miss with the food but it's average enough to never have a bad experience. read more

Was recommended by a friend to stop for lunch... we went on a Saturday afternoon and there was no one there. We had 16 people in our party and never got our food after 2+hours. We had 2 waitresses and the one was absolutely horrible and mean. I have never had a worst experience than this place and would never recommend this place to anyone. Strange place that Amy and her husband have owned for years. Very odd. We used to go every day for lunch. Always took our small dog. Never a problem. The. One day the owner says we no longer allow dogs ? No reason why. Just after years no longer allow dogs. Ok. No problem lots of other places in the area and All allow dogs outside. Food was never great but it was a mom and pop place that we tried to support probabky 5 days a week. So after several years we drive by the other night and I see a dog. So I thought maybe they allow dogs and we will try to go back maybe once a week. So I call Friday. Talk to Steve. I said hello Steve I seen a dog there last night. Do u now allow dogs again. He said well. It depends. If we are crowded we do not. If we are not crowded the. It depends on who's working. Sone of us allow dogs. Sone don't ? LMAO. What a way to run a business. This is a fine example of your average beach dive. The food was typical and "just OK". There was live music when we were there which is always nice. Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but I didn't get the "friendly" vibe others have posted about here. They were polite, but not overly friendly. Not the nicest looking bar in the world, but it more than makes up for that in fun. Not overly crowded so it's not overly difficult to get drinks. Fun crowd for karaoke on the night we went. One creepy guy that kinda bothered the girls in our party but overall had a great time. Some Ohio State theming on the walls made it feel a bit like home. read more
